Kirsten Gillibrand will be sworn-in as the new junior Senator from New York tomorrow at 1230pm
Kirsten Gillibrand officially becomes New York’s new junior Senator tomorrow at 1230pm. Reports are, Hillary Clinton is beyond thrilled with the appointment.
Team Hillary is strongly behind Gillibrand, with members of her New York finance committee already beginning fundraising for Gillibrand’s 2010 special election bid. Also, Politico.com today reported Karen Persichelli Keogh, Clinton’s former New York state director, has become an adviser to Gillibrand.
That’s something you have to realize about Team Hillary: people stick together, and everyone has long memories. Gillibrand worked hard for Hillary Clinton back in 2000 on her Senate committee, and that loyalty and dedication’s being rewarded now.
Generation Hillary really begins, in a way, with Gillibrand…with many more great women to follow in the years ahead.
Something tells us Gillibrand will end up being the Dems’ VP pick in 2020 or 2024, depending on how things shake out in the years ahead. Some day, Clinton will need a successor, and that woman could be Gillibrand. If our champ never has another opportunity to run for president, Gillibrand’s rise could be even sooner than that.
No one can predict the future, but it’s clear a star is officially born tomorrow at 1230pm when Gillibrand’s sworn in.

I wish her well. She sounds like a moderate, and someone who will serve ALL of her constituents well.
Good luck, Senator Gillibrand.
I hope she sticks with the views she has now, and doesn’t sell out to the socialist agenda infecting so much of the rest of the Dem party nationwide. If she stays who she is now, I’ll support her all the way.
Her voting record is really liberal. Over 90 according to the liberal group that keeps this record. Of coruse, she is pro-gun (for now) and anti-bailout. She certainly has the potential to be the rising star in her party. Much like Palin for the elpehants.
So she supported Hillary and that gives her the redl ight?
Look.
I’m a conservative who wants us all to come to the middle.
But what Obamessiah is doing right now will split the country more that you have EVER seen in history. I only WISH that Hillary was our President.
Do you democrats want the government to take care of you or do you want to take care of yourself and have the government BUTT OUT?
I’m all for helping those in need(and practice it), but look what has happened under this guy in less than a week.
The red light? Do you mean by the leftloons?
A couple interesting sites to keep track of Hillarys doings.

Tammy,
I get what you are saying there at the end about self reliance and what not, but what the hell are you talking about? Red light? Don’t you stop at those?
I’m conservative as well, here some info you may appreciate.

Cute as a button!
BTW, my fellow PUMA loving Conservatives, she shows Federalist (States Rights) tendencies.
Thanks, Stacy. I’m glad I’m not the only one that didn’t quite get that.
Tammy,
Those of us who come here don’t believe in the socialism that O is pushing. We prefer to take care of ourselves.
Being a conservative in NY, I’m real happy for Patterson. He looks like he has put a crimp in his reelection by passing on the princess, but Gillibrand is the best I could hope for. She’s pro-gun, anti-bailout, anti-illegal immigration. FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!
Codekeyguy,
Paterson improved his chances with Gillibrand. Those crossover Republicans and independents are what he needs to win. Any votes Princess would have brought were already going to Paterson anyway.
“GENERATION HILLARY”
Right on!
Its nice to see Hillary looking Happy again. She looks ten years younger.
