Kate Walsh’s attack on Bristol Palin and the perpetual wedge the Left drives between women voters using abortion as a divider

Posted on January 29, 2011 by Kevin DuJan // Hypocrisy, Lamestream Media, Sarah Palin, The Left

Dear HillBuzz,
Below are links to two Fox News items of possible interest.

One is about how Kate Walsh, the lead actress in “Private Practice,” urged students at St Louis’s Washington University to boycott Bristol Palin’s participation in the school’s “Sexual Responsibility Week,” where Bristol was slated to speak in her capacity as Teen Abstinence Ambassador for the Candie’s Foundation fighting teen pregnancy.

The article notes that Walsh posted to her Twitter followers:

“Welcome to the Idiocracy! RT @elliekirsh: @katewalsh please join students at Wash.U. to boycott Bristol Palin’s speech on abstinence. What does she know about college or abstaining?” Walsh tweeted.

Bristol and the school’s Student Health Advisory Center, which is sponsoring the event, mutually agreed that the controversy  might overshadow the event’s message, and thus Bristol is bowing out.

Walsh is a member of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. She also was one of the actresses in the video “Yes We Can” for candidate BO, and campaigned for him in 2008 in various states.

(Once again, the Obamacrats are mounting a concerted campaign to drive a wedge among women voters on the abortion issue. We need to do all we can to stop this. Women such as Walsh are being used as pawns in this Obamacrat game called divide and conquer in order to re-elect BO,  himself a known sexist/misogynist whose overall record on women’s rights is abysmal. Maybe folks like Walsh would prefer seeing college-age women get knocked up and turn to abortion-as-birth control than do anything sensible and responsible such as, oh, maybe practice abstinence or have their partners use condoms.)

The other item is about Tommy Hanson, a Republican would-be mayoral candidate in Chicago. Hanson has a receipt from the Chicago Board of Elections Commissioners confirming that he filed all nominating papers. But, the Board apparently lost his statement of economic interest and thus won’t allow his name on the ballot. The Board calls the receipt Hanson was sent a “clerical error.” (Sound familiar? Do we recall a rather well-known Illinois pol who started his political career by getting all other candidates kicked off the ballot?) Hanson is taking the matter to the Chicago Supreme Court seeking an injunction to stop the printing of the ballots unless his name is allowed on it. (As the article notes, that worked for Rahm.)

Best regards,

CJK in Springfield

Michelle Malkin has more on Palin Derangement Syndrome:

Here’s the comment that got so much (justified) anger:

“One other note…the image of dragging that handicapped infant around and having IT on stage has caused consternation in some quarters as to how tasteful this is.”

I didn’t know The Bearded Lady was a member of the Planned Parenthood Association! How very responsible of her.

There are a lot of women in L.A. who know about her views on abstinence.

Actually, just about all of L.A. knows her views on abstinence. She does practice it and it does work. On men.

I have given up pretty much all of my favorite shows (personal decision), I either cannot stand the actors continually blabbering, or the networks in general. They truly hate women that are against the genocide of millions of fetuses, and they cannot fathom the subject of abstinence, it hurts their cause.

I used to admire Kate Walsh in Grey’s Anatomy and then Private Practice, but lately she’s become more and more an advocate of infanticide (sometimes called “abortion”) on the show, such that I got disgusted and stopped watching her show, without ever knowing her personal views. But of course, I suspected, as she was so convincing on her tv show. Clearly I made the right decision. I always thought she was gorgeous, but this is the kind of thing that strips away any illusion of beauty….

Typical leftist censorship = shut out voices you disagree with.

Why is Kate Walsh so afraid of Bristol Palin speaking on abstinence?

Because it works, it has no negative impact on a person’s ability to conceive in the future, it’s free, and it requires no intervention from an outside source. It doesn’t command taxpayer money and it puts people with wombs in charge of their OWN reproductive future, all by themselves.

Except in the case of one particular type of sexual assault, it’s 100% effective. And rape conceptions are not only less common than one is led to believe, but not necessarily a financial hardship, since no sane modern jury would fail to allow the victim to sue the aggressor for medical charges and lost wages. I wonder if necessary counseling fees could be included in such a lawsuit, and think they should be if required.

I get the biggest kick out of the “abstinence doesn’t work to prevent pregnancy” people. It’s like saying, “Exercise doesn’t work to increase muscle tone…I know, because I quit exercising and my muscle tone is gone!”

She is a tool, has-been who could not even land a roll on the Knots Landing or Desperate Housewives

I hear the time slot after Joy Behar is available

Is anyone going to the St Louis Washington University who can ask her the tough questions? obviously she is auditioning for her dream role of a lifetime – to be the national face of infanticide. let’s help her in her goal by making her even more famous for this

Maybe St. Louis Washington University would prefer to have HELL Dr. Kermit Gossnel speak instead of Bristol Palin. It seems the logical choice for liberals.

Is this a new trend in feminism – adult women picking on young women? Because I thought that feminism was all about women acting as mentors for young women/teens. I realize that Willow and Bristol are the main targets, but boy oh boy what is the message that we are sending young women – step out of the box and you will be quashed!!!

I’m glad I never watched “Private Practice.” This woman sounds like a jerk and a half. She might be able to get Bristol to bow out of this speech, but if she thinks she can make Bristol shut up for good, she’s sorely mistaken.

Bristol knows that if she’d kept with abstinence she wouldn’t have gotten pregnant, just like Yul Brenner knew that he wouldn’t be dying of lung cancer if he hadn’t smoked. OMG, Yul Brenner was such a HYPOCRITE for making those anti-smoking ads.

i believe bristol herself wrote a brilliant response to the ‘what would SHE know about abstinence?’ it was something to the effect of (please forgive the paraphrase!):

no one questions a former drug addict who advocates saying no to drugs. why then, am i (bristol) criticized for advocating abstinence?

I just come out and say it to the Palin deranged liberal women I know. Liberal dudes hate the Palin women because they cannot knock them up and then march them off to an abortion clinic, saving themselves the responsibility of paying child support. If that doesn’t shut them up I don’t know what will. Sometimes you have to use your own form of Alinsky type tactics.
