Just a quick note
Just a little note that the next few days are going to be light with postings. Our dear friend Lionel has taken a turn for the worse — he is battling prostate cancer and doesn’t seem to be catching any breaks. We’re going to be seeing him later this week, and so we’re putting most of our effort into making something special for him: a big photomosaic with pictures of all of his friends. So, it’s Arts & Crafts time around here, which means less time on the keyboard in front of the computer screen.
If you’ve been praying for Lionel, we really appreciate it, and ask that you send him another round of good vibes. At this point, it doesn’t seem like there’s much any of us can do but make Lionel as happy as possible, and to keep letting him know how much we all care about him.

This page is sort of a family in some respects, where people from all over America and the Globe come togther to talk about the politics. When we hear sad news like this it make all this politics seem stupid and a waste of time. There are things more important in life than politics, enjoy life.

Lionel must be a very special man to have such great friends. He has to know how blessed he has been and you must know how honored you are to be allowed to be part of such a significant moment in his time.
Take a picture of the photomosaic and post it for all of us to see.
I’m so sorry and will keep Lionel and all that love him in my prayers. I think what you are doing sounds like the perfect thing. When someone (a teen) from a online support group I belong to for children born with heart defects was doing really bad and was afraid no one would remember her, we all wrote letters about what we remembered the best from stories her Mom told us over the years and our pictures and someone more talented than me made a nice scrap book, including pictures little kids drew her. 5 years later she still loves looking at her book. Please let Lionel know so many people he never met really care and praying for days filled with Love.
