It’s STILL the economy, stupid!

Posted on October 31, 2011 by Kathleen Gee // 2012 Elections, Conservativism, Essays - Conservativism, Hillbuzz, Tea Party

As the Ron Paul supporter at Buzzquarters, I field a lot of questions about Ron Paul’s foreign policy. His foreign policy positions seem to give some people heartburn.

Of course, I’m concerned about Islamofascism.

But at this moment in time, I honestly believe that our greatest national security threat is the potential collapse of the Dollar, and China calling our note.

I hate to put it in these terms, because it makes me sound utterly insensitive (and I’m not), but on 9/11, terrorists managed to kill “only” 3,000 Americans. However, that was just a means to an end. Their desired end was to collapse our economy, and destroy the lives of millions and millions of Americans.

Barack Hussein Obama is a greater threat to the U.S. than Islamic terrorists

The Bigger Threat

Well, guess what. Our own president and his accomplices in a Democrat-controlled Congress have managed to do more damage to our economy than the 9/11 terrorists–and they’re still hard at work pushing their Leftist, Marxist, Anti-Capitalist agenda. At least the 9/11 terrorists offed themselves during the attacks. The Obummer Regime will keep attacking us for at least the next 14 months.

To put the risk of dying in a terrorist attack into perspective, here’s an excerpt from an article at Reason.com:

Even if terrorists were able to pull off one attack per year on the scale of the 9/11 atrocity, that would mean your one-year risk would be one in 100,000 and your lifetime risk would be about one in 1300. (300,000,000 ÷ 3,000 = 100,000 ÷ 78 years = 1282) In other words, your risk of dying in a plausible terrorist attack is much lower than your risk of dying in a car accident, by walking across the street, by drowning, in a fire, by falling, or by being murdered.

Thanks to the Obama regime, your odds of being unemployed are about 1 in 5; and your odds of being upside down on your mortgage are about 1 in 3 in many parts of the country. Real inflation is running at about 9%.

So, yes, I’m concerned about terrorism and foreign policy. But I’m more concerned that the GOP will nominate a white-bread, cucumber-and-mayo, “It’s His Turn, and Besides, His Hair Is Perfect,” Obama-Lite candidate, who will either A) Lose to Obummer in the General; or B) Get elected and always cave in to the Democrat-Controlled Media and the Democrats in Congress instead of making the tough decisions required to save the Dollar, until the Dollar finally collapses during a Republican administration (and the GOP is blamed for it for generations to come).

How many times do we Tea Party types have to say it?

It’s THE ECONOMY, STUPID.

It’s THE ECONOMY.

Truth be told, Dr. Paul is the only GOP candidate we have now who is willing to go the bully pulpit of the White House, roll up his sleeves, flip everyone the bird, and do what it takes to restore the Republic. He is not interested in being re-elected. He simply wants to restore the Constitution and the country.

I think an important fact is that Dr. Ron Paul is a medical doctor. Imagine Obama trying to defend Obamacare in a presidential debate against Ron Paul. Liberals are mostly post modern psydo-intellectuals who really know nothing but try to convince us and themselves that they are intellectually superior. Ron Paul has old school intellect and he will expose our B.S.er in chief as the fraud he is. This country needs to learn how to respect it's elders, who have been around long enough to learn things the young have yet to learn. Dr. Paul is very wise on the sconomy, constitutional law and health care. Obama would be destroyed by him in a debae even while his CNN and MSNBC host try to give him the upper hand.
