I. Love. Paul. Ryan.

Posted on August 11, 2012 by TheTamminator // Hillbuzz

Not as much as Sarah Palin, of course, but he’s a rock star, nonetheless.

More in love now.  Midwestern people know where food comes from.  They grow it, raise it, and sometimes hunt it in the wild.  DAMN, he is getting hotter as a VP choice than ever!

I’m with you, Tamminator. I think Paul Ryan is the bridge between the establishment and the Tea Party. He’s the perfect choice for Romney. Sarah Palin can continue to endorse senatorial and congressional Tea Party candidates, and be our generation’s “Paula Revere” — for now.

You’re right about loving Paul Ryan — not as much as Sarah, but I heartily endorse this choice.

I’m looking forward to that debate too. I hope he takes the gloves off. We were visiting some friends recently who live in Delaware. They are politically connected, and they said Joe Biden absolutely does not know when to shut his mouth. Once he starts talking, you cannot make him stop. At one dinner party they said his wife got up and LEFT and he didn’t stop talking. Biden is an idiot, and Ryan is a brainiac. Cannot wait!!!

I am also glad that Romney chose Ryan and didn’t do what the GOP “advisors” must have told him and pick a running mate like Pawlenty or the guy from Ohio just because they think it would score electoral votes. Just as McCain’s choice of Sarah made me happy to vote for McCain, Romney’s choice of Ryan makes me happy to vote for Romney.

I absolutely did the same thing you did: it was Sarah that made me vote for McCain. It was the only way I could walk into that voting booth to fill in the circle for McCain. But, had I known what a complete disaster bo has been for this country, I would have knocked down walls and doors to have prevented the collapse we are now seeing. I pray to God that R&R can win this election.

Something that drives me nuts about libs is how two-faced they are. So here is an article from the ultra-lib “New Yorker” criticizing Ryan as the VP pick because of his lack of “private sector” experience, his lack of experience leading a large organization and his short tenure in Washington, DC.

    http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/newsdesk/2012/08/looks-like-ryan-mitts-pick.html

I don’t know about y’all, but I seem to remember that same lib media stating categorically that NONE of these things mattered when they were pointed out about THE WON in 2008. And Ryan is on the ticket as VICE President, not President!

Here is an excellent piece from Breitbart’s Mike Flynn: http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/08/11/what-began-in-wisconsin-will-end-in-wisconsin

“Walker and the WI GOP laid out a vision for solving the state’s continual budget problems and then stuck to those reforms. They faced angry protests and were subjected to vile smears and every weapon the left can throw at its opponents. They stood their ground and, in the end, the public sided with them.

This November, the nation will have a similar philosophical debate. Does power still reside with the people or will it be forever surrendered to government? Will we remain a nation of free entrepreneurs or become chattel dependent on government largesse? This truly will be a choice election.

And, again, the debate will revolve largely around reforms proposed by another Wisconsin politician, Paul Ryan. The attacks will be relentless. The smears will be viler than any we’ve seen. But, we must persevere and fight back. Everything is at stake.

Wisconsin started the reform revolution. Let’s end it with Wisconsin.”

The vile smears have already started — we can withstand them. Be Breitbart, be ready to fact-check, and be ready to call them out.

We did it here in Wisconsin — for example, the Greater Wisconsin Committee put out an ad claiming that because of Gov. Walker’s reforms, our schools had 47 students to a classroom and children were forced to sit on the floor, as there were no longer tables and chairs for them. Pressure was put on GWC to substantiate their claims (people started contacting the stations where the ad was running and asked them to fact-check it, and a couple did so), and being unable to do so, they ended up pulling the ad.

Ryan voted for the Iraq war, Patriot Act, No Child Left Behind, Medicare part D, Gm Bailout, Tarp, and the list goes on and on. Do Republicans embrace this voting record? And…….don’t get so hot about the bow hunting thing. Anyone who has lived in Wisconsin knows that deer camp is an annual ritual for male cheese heads. I have my skepticism about those vote claims, but I will tell you this – no party will control my vote. These maybe trolling points, but all I have to do is to look to see the alternative and to me, my decision has already been made. And yes, so what if it is deer camp. And I do know of an experienced bow hunter, and he will tell me that it is a tough, tough thing to do. I’m going to do what I can do for my country and my children’s future.

Either go mash your sour grapes, or make up your mind to get off your ass on Nov. 6 and vote. If you’re a troll, disregard the above and go take a laxative.

This country will stand or fall based upon the results of THIS election. That should scare the shit out of everyone. It should also reinforce each and every person’s determination to ensure that not only will we begin cleaning the Augean Stables on Nov. 6, but that we will NEVER allow the past 3-1/2 years to be repeated. Never Again. I know everyone has heard that phrase before.

Tammy, also appearing in the YouTube screenshot above are Rep. Reid Ribble (R-WI-CD8) and Rep. Sean Duffy (R-WI-CD7), the latter of which used to be the seat held by retiring Rep. Dave Obey (D-WI-King of Pork) for 42 years.

Just a few weeks ago, I was not really excited about Romney as the Republican Presidential candidate. Oh, sure I would support him, I would hope more than anything he WOULD push Obama out of the W.H., but I was really yearning for a more conservative guy. What he did by selecting one of the best”new” conservative congressman as his running mate has made me do a complete 180 in his regard. He has shown real wisdom picking Ryan…real commitment, real vision ! Ryan is a great congressman, a great conservative and a real visionary. BRAVO ROMNEY!! BRAVO RYAN !! Now we can get really passionate about this election. I am now ready to make my contribution to their campaign !AND how exciting it will be on Jan 20 2013 when they are inaugurated.

I love Ryan also, and your point about bridging the gap between the GOP and the tea party is brilliant, rightmindedmom.

The American heartbeat has been fading these last three years, but it beats strongest in Wisconsin in 2012. I think a little R&R will go a long way to return our national health.

Romney/Ryan will build up our national strengths which have only been the object of disdain, ridicule, and plunder during the Reign of Obama.

Before the Ryan announcement (a Presidential caliber decision) R’s enjoyed a 13 point enthusiasm gap. Imagine how high that will go when more of the electorate gets to know Paul Ryan.

We have the candidate we need for the times. Let’s hope we have enough Americans who can realize the peril we face without them.

The pick of Paul Ryan by Mitt Romney is a far better VP pick than when John McCain picked Sarah Palin. I’m a big fan of Palin and would have supported her enthusiastically if she had run this time so I don’t mean it as a shot at her. Rather Ryan fits Romney and the political situation better than Palin fit McCain. McCain was not liked at all by real conservatives and picked Palin to up his cred among them. McCain was not an ideological soul mate to Palin.

Ryan fits Romney much better. While I had my doubts before the primaries that Romney could be as conservative as we hoped, the strong influence of the Tea Party forced Romney to the right. Romney has also tried to project a vision of fiscal competence as opposed to our Clown-In-Chief. Ryan solidifies that vision and image. Yes, it also makes Romney more popular with the Tea Party, but it also makes it a lot harder for the Obama campaign and their MSM lackeys to shift the conversation away from Obama’s disastrous economic policies. This young articulate man just loves policy discussions, and won’t back down or be thrown off his game by progressive MSM “journalists.” They’ll be the ones shaking their heads trying to come to grips with Ryan’s spot on, concise arguments.

Perhaps the most important thing this does however is convince me that a Romney administration just might be the one to right America’s fiscal ship and with a GOP Congress start us back on the path back to prosperity. And like Rush Limbaugh and others have said, it’s an ideological election now. The contrast in visions is stark and absolute.

    IT. IS. ON.

Although I still wish Palin were on the ticket, I’ve always liked Ryan and I am very glad Romney didn’t pick some of those other duds, clods, bores and Democrats in Republican clothing. I had to hold my nose very hard to fill in McCain’s circle, Palin made it possible. Romney will be a little easier to vote for since I really don’t like McCain, but now it is even a little easier because I really like Ryan. Kind of like a female Palin! Not as dynamic of course, but of the same mindset. I still will NOT donate to the RNC, turned them down again yesterday – when they start treating Palin better, I will donate again. I don’t think it’s the that is selectively citing Mr. Ryan’s voting. All of my libertarian friends and Ron Paul fans are spreading these memes. They think he’s a false conservative because he voted for TARP, the autobailout and other bills already noted above. Now, that obviously isn’t the extent of his voting record — he’s been in Washington for 14 years — and I have to believe he had his reasons for voting for things that one wouldn’t expect a hard-core fiscal conservative to vote for. The biggest problem is that they’re saying they’re not going to vote, which might be ideologically satisfying, but it’s stupid. This is the most important election your great nation has ever had. Don’t make great the enemy of good. We all have to hold our nose, to greater or lesser degrees, and vote (I’ll be doing that here in Quebec on September 4th). Your country won’t survive another 4 years of the Dhimmi-in-chief. An expanded welfare state and expanded government will be the least of it. You won’t survive 4 more years of the Muslim Brotherhood digging in.
