[Click above to embiggen:  a few ways that Mitt Romney is the remedy to Barack Obama's failings ]

What other ways can you think of where Mitt Romney is a clear remedy to the failings of Barack Obama as President?

Americans only replace incumbents and change parties in power in the White House if they feel the challenger is a remedy to the failings of the person in office currently.

To unseat Obama, Americans need to see that Romney is a change in the right direction and a course correction for the nation.

Ideas?

Oh, and how about a slogan of “Romney’s the Remedy”?  Do you like that?  Would you like it on a  tee shirt or campaign slogan?

I  love words and how letters fall when typed onto the page…and I love symmetry.

There’s a good energy and balance between the words “Romney” and “Remedy”….visually it feels reassuring and stable, positive and confident…I really like that and wonder if you react the same way.

**********************************

What else are people talking about in your part of the country?

Are you going out this weekend to do anything for the election?

***********************************

PS — I started this page here for the 2012 Elections as a kind of time capsule of what happens every day.  It’s something I’ve always wanted to succeed at here at this site because most conservative political sites are just of the moment and you have to know what you are looking for to search the archives.  But I hope having a page on the 2012 general election is useful to some of you, now and in the future.

I think it will be kind of fun to see things progress over the 10 weeks between now and Election Day.  I have no idea what’s going to dominate the news each weekly cycle and I think it will be interesting to see the big events and important details all in one place.

While I was sick during the spring and early summer and couldn’t post one of the other things I kept wanting to do was compile good articles on the Left and the terrible things they do because I think when you see this stuff all in one place, it’s really hard for independents to defend these people.  I think the Left only gets away with what it does because few out there take the time to really show people how bad the Leftists are.  Assembling this in one place I think is a first step towards charting the Left’s patterns of behavior and ultimately strategizing a remedy to that.

Yeah, it would have really sucked for Obama is those SEALs had been killed or captured…they, however, would have been having the time of their lives.

Kevin, my favorite slogan is one I read right here: After four years of Hope and Change, I’m ready for some R & R. Romney/Ryan 2012.

Now Romney and Ryan have to get out there and get their message to the people! I was reading this morning that 25% of voters say they could still go either way, but are “persuadable.” I don’t know what kind of idiots they are that they have no opinion, but now we need to persuade them. We also need to give Romney a Republican Congress to work with!

“Romney’s the Remedy” is an excellent slogan, along with the “We need some R & R.”

How about adding thin skinned to your list? Look at his response to the Eastwood speech (the “This seat’s taken” with the picture of him tweet) — why is it that he let that get to him?

How about the racism stuff? Michelle Malkin compiles the growing list of “racist” terms here: http://michellemalkin.com/2012/08/31/the-condensed-liberal-handbook-of-racial-code-words/

For the past few weeks I’ve been reading accusations about Republican “dog whistles.” At first I thought they had something to do with Mitt Romney’s dog episode so many years ago. After looking up the definition – secret code words that the “other side” doesn’t understand- I didn’t know whether to be puzzled or amused. But now I have to admit that the accusers were right; Republicans do have a dog whistle and his name is Clint Eastwood. Review after review belittles his speech; they didn’t get it. What they don’t understand is that Eastwood wasn’t talking to the news media or the Democrats. He was talking to those of us who believe in America.

    Love the unicorn with Obama…lol.

I have to travel a lot for my work and over the past 6 years I’ve noticed that news stand cover pages are a good indicator on how the leftist media want to persuade us.

Anyway, one thing I noticed during the 2008 ramp up to the election was Obama’s love pics everywhere and constant Palin bashing. You couldn’t walk into a news stand in any airport without seeing his face on at least 50% of the covers.

Well for 2012 it’s been vastly different. In August, I saw Obama’s pic on only 2 periodicals and one of them from Newsweek had the the title of “Hit the road Barack”.

I travel to CT this week and I’ll report back what I see as I go through Washington DC and Providence RI. I’m really curious as to how, if any, Romney and Ryan’s pics will be portrayed on any covers.

If the August news stands are any indication of what will occur in 2012, then Obama is in for a landslide.

I hate to say this, but your godson is foolish. The gay “community” is very good at controlling people and the push is strong for them to vote Obama against their own economic best interests.

I think Republicans need to give up on getting gays and blacks to vote anything but Democrat…the black and gay community “leaders” are just too powerful and the punishment for not supporting a Democrat is just too strong in those respective niches.

Black and gay individuals can break free of the hive mind. I’m gay and I broke free in 2008. Mia Long, Allen West, and others are black and broke free of the hive.

Your godson is part of the hive and breaking that will be tough. I don’t like saying anything is impossible in life, but I don’t have an easy answer for you.

Maybe you should ask your godson why Obama won’t come out of the closet and why he won’t admit that he’s been with men? Try that angle.

Love “Romney is the Remedy” as well as R&R.

A few posts back you (again) took on the rumors/concern that Obama would impose martial law. While I agree with you, I find it interesting that so many people have either heard conspiracy theories about this, or have themselves had a brief moment of irrational fear where they thought “Obama is devious enough, and so given to dictator-like impulses, that he might just do something wacky to stay in power.” It’s like we’re unconsciously picking up cues that we consciously disregard (see Gavin DeBecker’s “The Gift of Fear”).
I think that after Romney is sworn in, and Obama is safely away from politics, the truth about what he’s been doing for the past 4 years will slowly come out. And we’ll see that even if something as radical as cancelling or ignoring the 2012 election was never a serious possibility, that Obama did a lot more of this kind of back-door anti-constitutional stuff that we could have ever imagined.

Tried to send this under CONTACT but it wouldn’t work
    Kevin,
My daughter just turned 18 and has “started” college at UW-Milwaukee. (We moved her in on the 31st).
Both my wife and I are Conservatives, me more so as a Constitutionalist. My daughter is struggling because while she identifies with the Republican Party ideologically, she really hates their stance on homosexuality and gay marriage. She feels that no one should be told who they can love. This is a difficult subject for me to discuss with her because of my own “conflictions” on the subject. (We can discuss that at some later time should you want to).
I was wondering if you would be willing to take the time to email her, possibly contact through Facebook etc. and let her know your position on these things as a conservative/Pro-Romney man?
Get back to me if you have any interest in this.
UWM is something of a liberal hotbed and I would like her to have the support she needs.
    Thanks much!

Tell her that unemployment doesn’t care who you are, it hits everybody and if she expects to have a job in 4 years, then she had better vote for Romney/Ryan, because Obama has proven he has zero ability to create a single job.

My kids graduated 2008, 2009, 2011 & 2012 — AND THERE ARE NO PROFESSIONAL JOBS for them — and they are “lucky” to have minimum wage jobs in retail & food services.

Then tell her, I promise she, if she votes for Obama, in four years, gays will still not be able to marry, and she will be asking, “do you want fries with that?”

IT’S THE ECONOMY, DEAR — and btw, Dad, who is footing the bill for her college expenses?

EBL has some interesting coments there such as:
” thought it was funny that night. But I did not realize how much it would upset the left! Even Barack Obama did not ignore it (which suggests it is worrying Obama 2012). The over-reaction from the left to Clint Eastwood’s speech, from Ana Marie Cox’s #Eastwooding to James Lipton’s profound sadness, shows it was more successful than people imagined. It should be a theme at the Democratic National Convention! It worked for Romney Ryan 2012! Romney-Ryan got a 6 point bounce from the RNC. ….”
