Since we’re all taking a bit of a break post-election, this open thread may serve for a couple of days.
I’m watching two things very closely right now:
Stories on Voter Fraud
Particularly in Allen West’s district. This picture says it all:

Of course, the left would have us believe that the security of our elections is beyond reproach. Move along folks, nothing to see here…
The Petraeus / Benghazi Saga
This is the most interesting story in the news right now, and with good reason. The more information that comes out, the more I am convinced that there is much more to this story yet to be revealed.
Based on the currently available information, it appears that Petraeus may have been blackmailed into supporting the Obama administration’s claim that the Benghazi attack was the result of a YouTube video. At the very least, it’s clear that Petraeus had a reason to not piss off the administration in hopes that he might keep his job despite the affair.
It also appears that since Petraeus stepped up and resigned (at the request of the Obama administration), and did so without incident (so far), that Petraeus may have a larger reason not to make waves. One possibility is that the affair began while he was in the military, which would mean potential prosecution and demotion (which would mean a reduction in retirement pay, I’m sure).
It looks like Petraeus is going to testify to Congress behind closed doors after all. That should be interesting.
I’m also wondering how/why General Allen’s name suddenly started floating around in connection with this story. There’s no reason whatsoever that Allen’s name should have been released. That seems 100% intentional, which begs the question, why? Is Allen being smeared on purpose and, if so, by whom? Why are so many of the military’s top people dropping at the same time?
Is it possible that the Obama administration is intentionally smearing the military as a way to push through military spending cuts? Or some other, even more nefarious purpose?

Be aware the national republican party has not supported West nor Bachman. so think twice before donating to them. Giving to individual candidates is usually a far better alternative.
I do not donate to any party. I donate to candidates only. I think the establishment apparatus of both parties is far too powerful and seeks to preserve itself above doing what is right.
Michele Bachmann was the candidate I wanted to support in the primary, but I live in Pennsylvania not Iowa or New Hampshire so I really didn’t have a say in the matter! That sucks and must change. I wish that Kevin would reconsider Bachmann. I don’t think Palin wants to run in 2016. I love both these candidates an dispise the progressive wing of the republican party that undermines them. Sarah Palin breathed life back into the republican party after the Progressive Bush Cartel did such serious damage to the brand. Michele Bachmann voted and railed against both the Bush bailouts and the Obama bailouts and fought tirelessly against the cronie capitolism or coporate stateism we now have in America. I salute Michele Bachmann for her efforts to help Rep Allen West by raising legal for him. Bachmann West is looking like a really good ticket in 2016. When the economy continues to free fall I am going to remind every Obama zombie that they are responsible for destroying the true conservative candidates who could have saved America from the lethal debt. I am going to identify myself as a conservative and not a republican until the republican party starts to whow respect for true conservative values, fiscal, social, and o issues of immigration and national defence.
Obama and the NEw World Order Bushes are not so different. Lets just hope that Obama destroys his party like the Bushes destroyed the republican party.

I think it’s time for us to do some preemptive actions against many of the RINO’s infesting our party. Lindsay Gramnesty – I”m looking at you right now. I think we need to give him his own personal “Independence Day” by outing him as a Gay Republican Senator. We need to take away the tools that Democrats use to control our senator’s votes when they matter the most. This needs to happen BEFORE a Supreme Court Justice retires and the man who calls himself 0bama appoints a replacement. We need to take away all blackmail opportunities, otherwise there is NO WAY we can trust these politicians anymore. Lindsay will have a couple of years to prove to his constituents that his sexual orientation has NO effect on his ability to serve them, which is as it should be. However, anyone who is in the closet is prime for blackmail.
Graham came out hard against Obama today. Regardless, he’s not one of my favorites but this continuing to eat our own to try to find more perfect candidates is not serving us well. We (meaning the right in general) have lost too many winnable seats with this purist approach. Let’s figure out how to get and keep majorities and then clean up our wardrobe.
He needs to either out himself or be outed. If Graham came out as a gay, and honestly most of his constituents already know that he is gay, then Harry Reid cannot continue to blackmail him. The thing is, how can someone get Senator Graham to see the sense in coming out of the closet.

Graham, as far as I am concerned, is a traitor to this nation. And he ought to be treated as such.
I do believe that it is necessary to out Senator Graham. He is actually one of the most effective of the Senators when he is not caving to Harry Reid. His strength is stuff like military things. He needs to be outed so that Harry Reid no longer has a hold over him.
Keep that up and the Republicans will never ever have a chance to gain the majority in the senate again. A Republican will never win again in a blue state unless they can show those people they can be independent in conscience or when it is in the interests of their state.
Any SCOTUS nominee of Obama will be confirmed in the next two years. The Democrats are in the majority so they will have one more on the judiciary committee. So the nomination will make it to the floor. Since it just requires a simple majority to confirm in the full Senate, the nominee will be confirmed since the Senate is now 54-46.
Whoever said the Republicans throw away senate seats like scraps of paper was totally correct. We nominate nut jobs who can’t handle themselves running for elective office. Akin and Mourdock probably cost more than their own two seats by shooting off at the mouth and they may have cost Romney. The press made it into national news.
Whoever runs the NRSC needs to coach candidates in how to answer gotcha questions and not compromise their principles.
Ronald Reagan said give me someone who agrees with me 80% of the time and I have a friend. We need to allow those who call themselves Republicans to be able to think for themselves and people of the state they represent in voting.
Purists will kill the chance of ever having a Republican majority in the senate again. I don’t know if Lindsay Graham is gay or not. But if is and wants to live in the closet for whatever reason, he deserves that as a human being.
Graham is relentless on Obama regarding Libya. And we sure aren’t winning any Hispanic votes with “self-deportation”. It should be our job to convince Hispanics that the Republican should be the party for them.

Many folks in S.C. would be offended since he “tricked” them, the gay issue is only an issue because if he is gay, he hid it. I personally don’t think that he is. Secondly, if anyone has proof that Obama is gay, they should present it…it might have helped Romney. Why are all these people quiet about it, if it is true?

The two subjects posted, voter fraud – which I think is RAMPANT and most likely cost us the election (it’s easy to forget in our current doldrums the euphoria of election day. All signs, EVERYTHING pointed to a Romney win. EVERYTHING. I have learned to trust “my lying eyes” above anything else and now after sorrow is coming some rage), and secondly:
This whole Benghazi scandal. I think all this flotsam and jetsom is just a distraction. The thing to remember here is that Obama has blood on his hands.
I wish Petraeus would do one last thing for his country and redeem himself.

Reince Preibus made a comment recently when asked about why Republicans don’t do anything about voter fraud and he said “Nothing, they are not legally able to do so”. Huh? So then I came across some interesting information. I guess 30 yrs ago, Repubs made an agreement with the DNC that they would not get involved in voter fraud due to a lawsuit filed against them back in 1981.
In 2010 the RNC requested in court to have it vacated by a Judge and it was denied. The Judge of course, is a Democrat.
Anyone else know anything about this? I have the soure where I read it, not sure I can post it here. Please advise if I can.

I recall that there were voters who stated their votes for Romney
were mysteriously switched to votes for Obama on their ballots.
Perhaps the votes were switched for only Obama, not the downticket votes.
I have read a few blurbs on this, however, someone (that infamous
someone) needs to find more info.
I cannot conceive of anyone voting for downticket repubs who would vote for Obama.
I agree this bears investigation. I think I recall one state elected the first Republican governor in awhile, yet still went for Obama? It’s on my to-do list…
Democrats won the popular vote in the House, the Senate and the Presidency. No need for people to vote Obama in one place and Repub in another.
Repubs won majority of seats in the House because they gerrymandered the electoral boundaries.
Electoral boundaries should be set by an independent commission, not by political parties. Trouble is that most govt appointments in the US are political appointments. The system is broken.
Regarding the chart above, the ballot there required two cards. So “cards cast” is going to be twice the rate of voter turnout. Therefore there is nothing *technically* fishy about a rate of less than 200%.
That said, I do believe the election was stolen through fraud as there have been tons of documented examples, plus the possibility of hacking the electronic machines. What if they flipped every tenth vote, for example…we would have no idea. But the election results just don’t jive with soooo many other factors, from Republican enthusiasm to all the economic markers which are usually better than the polls at predicting results.

Let me update you on Allen West. The Florida Secretary of State is sending auditors to St. Lucie County to audit the election. I expect people have been complaining right and left to the various state branches of government. The Supervisor of Elections in both St. Lucie County and Palm Beach County have both engaged in suspected voter fraud. The Supervisors are both Obama partisans. The Palm Beach County Tea Party and other West supporters were holding a protest there today. Frankly, a recount of the entire district should be done, but West’s opponent only won in St. Lucie County. Right now West is going to court to be able to look at the voter books and match against the number of ballots. American Thinker had a address if anyone wants to contribute to Allen’s recount fund since he can NOT use campaign funds for that purpose. Allen’s opponent is 29 years old, works for his Dad, who is wealthy and who tried to buy him this seat. Please try to support Allen in this attempt to get his seat in Congress if the election was an attempt at voter fraud, which I think it obviously was.

Read at WE, there are over 300K outstanding ballots in OH, absentee and provisional, more than the margin O carried the state so why did Romney cede the state so early and never contested? I know he won other states which pushed him way over the top…

I really like how the Republican Party decided to be quiet on Benghazi until after the election. Do you folks get it yet? There is only one party in the US, and it is a two headed snake.
I agree 100% that the lefties and rinos are two heads of the same coin. The issue is that the conservatives need to take over the
repub party. And I have no clue how that is accomplished in
a short period of time. It has to be done shortly; we don’t have
a decade or two.
However, I agree with their silence on Benghazi until after the
election. There was too much of a chance the corrupt media
would “blame” Romney and affect his chances of election.
I don’t think the blame for the loss goes to Romney; altho, he
wasn’t in my top list of choices, once he won the primary he
was my ABO candidate and I supported him 100%. And he
actually surprised me. He would have taken care of our economy,
no doubt about it.
That said, I think we should have photo ID laws for voting in all
states and go back to paper ballots, all the same type. Until we
make voting secure and honest (as possible) we will continue to
lose elections. Right now the dumba$$es in the rino party are
probably thinking up ways to outcheat the lefties. That is not the
way to handle it!
Voter ID is NOT ENOUGH. I worked as an election officer, and dealt with hundreds of registered voters who could not speak, read, or write English, yet they were registered to vote. The problem is Clinton’s Motor Voter law, which allows people to register to vote when they get a driver’s license, and no one follows up to see if they are citizens.
In GA, you now have to have a birth certificate, SS# and proof of residence just to get a driver’s license. Should be required in all states.
There is the progressive establishment of the republican party but the new and younger Tea Party republicans give me hope. I will support Michele Bachmann who surived the viscious slander and character assasination from Bill Clinton, the leftist media and the Obama MAFIA.
She has enormous courage. In 2016 Tea Party candidates must chose one among them to support for president. This time the conservative vote was split and Romney was pushed as the inevitable winner by the media and the Bush Cartel.

I think there is something in Boehner’s background that Obama knows and holds against him. They way he smoozes up to Obama is unreal. He is the Speaker of the House and he has no spine. There is something there, perhaps an affair they know about….wish we had some conservative detectives. I want everything out in the open so Obama can’t black-mail them. We are hog-tied to say the least.

I have had an idea about this voter fraud stuff as it’s coming to light-
WIKIPEDIA. After there’s a sizable amount of evidence that there was fraud, someone who knows could do a volunteer edit and add in a fraud section on the page about the 2012 Presidential Election.
Many people use the site for basic information daily (I do), and the left has its hands all over Wikipedia- go to the page for ANY Republican politician, and there’s nearly a “controversies” section. Rarely, if ever, for a Democrat. The page for the 2004 election mentions “voting irregularities” and has a section devoted to the crap about Ohio.
This, I think, is a start to raising awareness. I don’t fall for conspiracy theories, but fraud seems likely- it’s the Chicago way, and as one previous commenter said- EVERYTHING pointed to a Romney win.
All of us, to one degree or another, tried to expose Obama, but because the facts were mixed with speculation, it was easy to be shot down with birther, racist name calling. My first “discovery” was the photo of Obama and Siddiqui on the couch, that was published on Inauguration Day, 2009, along with other photos and an interview with Phil Boerner, a roommate, in the NY Times City Blog. Lots of us saw it back then, and remarked that they looked so gay. It wasn’t until about a year ago that I saw a comment on an obscure blog saying to enlarge the photo: the comment had been edited. Of course, I enlarged it and found that Obama, undoubtedly stoned, was exposed. I asked my family and said yes, that’s exactly what it looks like, but the physical logistics were impossible. I knew that the very thin Obama kept his jeans up with his hips, not his waist, and that from his build and long skinny fingers would have, well, you know, and be able to facilitate that position. Some people said it was a hand (?) but in the enlargement it shows clearly that the boys have their hands clasped in the air, holding their smoke. Boerner also published all this in the Columbia alum flyer, so I have his his work email and address. I assume he, as the photographer, thought he was outing Obama this way, waiting till after the inauguration. Kevin: have you ever thought about asking him his motives? I’m he’d ignore me.
I did lots of googling, to pretty much no avail, until I found a quote from Larry Sinclair’s book describing an identical appendage. I emailed him, saying the photo cooberated his description. He quickly replied that he knew of no such photo of Obama at Columbia with him exposed. I had referred to the photo as the one of Obama and his roommate on the couch, nothing about Columbia, so, being annyoyed, I copied the photo into an email and said, “This one.”
No friend or relative I sent it to seemed interested. I don’t have a problem with Obama being gay: I have a problem with a man who has led such a promiscuous, indiscreet lifestyle being president, plus the larger matters of birth, selective service, social security fraud, etc. I must say I was sick to my stomach when the stories of his homosexuality stepped up (thanks, Kevin) during the campain and Michelle started hanging all over him, practically sitting on his lap during interviews. My nausea reached a peak when she lied her ass off about their fairytale romance during her convention speach, and the republican pundits lauded it, while (democrat) Chris Wallace was incorrectly fact-checking Mitt instantly after his speech.
I worry that our country doesn’t seem to care about having a leader with some kind of moral authority. I’ve been obsessing for several days about Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals,” that extolls the merits of what Obama is doing politcally; and finding a way to get it into the hands of millions. Perhaps people reading Obama’s bible would be a better way of exposing the truth. The left obviously has never maligned Alinsky, but the vast majority of people would take exception to him.
There has been much anecdotal evidence of voter fraud, and, of course, they screwed with the machines in swing states. So, Obama has no mandate. If there were a civil war, I worry about those hollow points out there, but it’s conservatives who have guns at home. For the first time in our lives, my husband and I are seriously thinking about arming up! I think it no coincidence that the military has been steadily undermined the last few years.

A good friend once told me, “Always go with your gut.” Right now, you need to trust your instincts. If your intuition is pushing you in that direction, go with it. Get a FOID card, then visit a couple of gun shops for info on guns, ammo, and lessons which will include gun safety. Gun shop owners are usually very helpful with newbies. Don’t be intimidated. These are crazy times. Lots of women are arming themselves these days. Good luck to you and your husband!
Don’t forget to practice. A firearm does you no good if you don’t know how to use it. Find the nearest range close to you and go once a week. Punching holes in paper is great fun.
And do not go for a snub-nose just because it’s smaller. (Many women do.) It’s harder to control the recoil.

Well, Barbara, I wouldn’t be interested either if someone I knew was spending their time sending around photos of a man sitting on a couch and asking “Is that his penis or his finger”? So I can’t blame for yiour friends or relatives for their silence.
There is so much work to be done and so many serious issues to focus on. This doesn’t seem to be one of them.

jill Kelly is the sujbect of the “threatening” emails which led to the Broadwell/petraeus scandal. General John Allen is involved somehow because there were many emails between Allen and kelly possible including some of sexual nature. I don’t think it is known yet what, if any, role he plays in this whole thing.

re the question why military generals being pilloried. Hitler did the same thing as did Stalin when they were consolidating power. They got rid of the ranking military officers that would not toe the company line. This was to negate or at least lessen the chance of a coup being started. Tyrants follow the same checklist, I think this is what is going on. Take them down and scare the ones that are left into cooperating.
A scary thought. It crossed my mind, but I presently refuse to believe our military has ANY people willing to accept Obama as a tyrant. I hope you’re wrong. Still, we must be vigilant.

corporate nature .. these decisions are being made for military industrial
complex reasons not because they are BEST for us. In addition, todays’ CIA . is
NOT your father’s CIA. The clash of insiders in the corporate mercenary groups
and REGULAR military are at a BOILING point. The CIA which is OWNED by corporate
interests like Dyncorp, L-3, Northrum Grumman to name a few have been ruthlessly
waging wars in our name illegally around the world. The REAL clash between
regular military and corporate special operations mercenaries preferred by the
Clinton faction just took out their major competition with the removal of
Admiral Gaoette and General Ham not to mention Petraeus and looks like Allen
will be gone too. He said Joint Chiefs head Dempsey should be fired . he is a
toadie who would sell his mother into prostitution. And Panetta and Hillary are
guilty of war crimes. People do not realize but during recent events they not
only took out General Ham and Admiral Gaoette they have also replaced 14 other
high ranking officers they believed were challenging their incompetence and
desire to go to war witihout congressional approval. The regular military does
NOT want these endless wars .. but the civilian and new corporate military does.
In fact the US NAVY has been purged of good officers the last YEAR under Obama
… at least 14 were removed not for sexual misconduct . that is the cover but
because they were not wanting to play the GAME. Meantime, the new corporate
owned CIA and Obama Administration considered the military challenge to their
desire for more war in the Middle East was unacceptable. After what amounts
basically to Hillary screwing up Benghazi .. with Obama’s help and others in the
White House . .the military is at the BREAKING point and this administration
KNOWS IT. He said Hillary should be tried on war crimes not just for Benghazi
but things that go all the way back to the 90s. So should Panetta. Others on the
TO GO list include Muehler of the FBI, Clapper and Dolan in the Obama White
House. The current spate of sex scandals IS a set up. He also said he was
ashamed of the military for not exposing all this at the beginning. They do not
want to be seen as mutineers. BUT sooner or later it will be exposed. He feels
Obama will be impeached and it’s his own personal opinion the CIA should be
disbanded . it is corporate now and has LITTLE to do with US government or our
interests. He also hoped the American people would lead this charge up San Juan
Hill . he felt congress was USELESS and nothing would come of their
investigations, that most of the STRUCTURE of US government is no longer

saw that as about the ONLY hope in the future. what it boils down to .. there
was a coup against the military and a LOT of good people have had their lives

Interesting that you mention all these names, with little mention
of Obama. Not criticising, just observing. You give Hillary too
much power in my opinion. She is too busy flitting around the world. This is an Obama world, not a Hillary world. And I think
the woman is also a socialist/marxist/communist, so I am not
in any way giving her a pass.
And, yes, our government has nefarious reasons for eliminating
all these generals, heads of command, etc. What are they?

The majority of our military were indoctrin…er educated in public schools. The young are no longer being taught to think. And if you have been watching the news, our military command has become more and more politically correct over the past few years.
The purpose of so many wars and the purges is to create a busy non-questioning military, one that can be used against the citizenry, if needed. Consider the evolution of TSA ove the years before you declare the concept wrong.
A lot of people in Obama’s administration were first involved in the Clinton administration. Panetta for one.

Umm . . . there is a large population of Christians in Lebanon. Many of them immigrated to the United States, going as far back as the late 1800s. Lebanon has the highest population who are Christians. She seems to be from a Christian Lebanese family. Not all Arabs are Muslim. Just saying.

I think we are missing a huge issue on voter fraud. Dems always believe that Repubs commit voter fraud (they still think it’s why Gore lost.) I read a comment to this affect on Hot Air today. Why don’t we make them put their money where their mouths are? If they truly are opposed to voter fraud, we should be encouraging them to support voter ID and pressuring politicians to do more to prevent fraud. I can’t believe CBS on Benghazi. Before the election, they spent all of about a half a minute covering it. On the CBS morning show today, I think they must have spent 20 minutes covering the Petraeus story. I literally left the room, got ready for work and came back to them STILL talking about it. Oh, they couldn’t talk about what actually happened there or the Americans that were killed. They went on and on about the sex scandal. Worst of all, they didn’t seem to have much of a problem with the FBI poking around in someone’s email on such a flimsy pretext.
Turn CBS off! That goes for all the morning “news” shows. I have found them to be little more than self serving, vapid crap. They spend more time promoting theemselves and Hollywood than they do on the news.
I used towatch the Today Show when Katie Couric was on (God forgive me) but realized their leftist slant and turned it off. I don’t have any links I can post yet, nor all the information. This is a ground report. A friend of mine was recently elected to a local township office. They had a meeting this week with our State Representative (R). He told them that the O administration has been sending several pages of new regulations to the State Capital on a daily basis. I’m sure they are going to all 50 states. Our Capital is about to be buried in paperwork and regulations from Washington. They are having meetings about it this week. Friday is also the day that states have to make plans to set up exchanges for Obamacare.
Obama wrote almost 1,000 executive orders during his first term. Many of them have not been put into effect yet, but they are now being pushed out as fast as they can. Most of them will enforce de-facto cap and trade and Agenda 21. One of the EO’s gives the President the right to arrest and detain any citizen indefinitely, and without charges. We know that is unconstitutional. According to Glenn Beck, Texas has written and passed a state law, saying that anyone who tries to use this EO in Texas will be imprisoned.
I think it’s time we all get involved in our local and State governments and try to fight this President’s grab at power. I think he not only needs to be stripped of the right to issue executive orders, perhaps all future Presidents need to be stripped of some power too.

It might be very easy for the Republican house to bring up articles of Impeachment. However, in a trial in the Senate, there would now need to be 21 Democrats or Independents to vote to convict him assuming that all 46 Republicans vote for conviction. (Sixty-seven guilty votes are needed to convict in the senate.) Just as with Clinton, I cannot see that happening. Maybe if the crimes are very clear and serious, there is a very slight possibility. But I really doubt it.
The Republicans should have won the senate this election. But they threw it away. Still they would have needed at least fifteen votes of Democrats to convict.

I am very bothered by the fact that Paula Broadwell smuggled classified military documents out of the base and had them on her personal computer. What possible reason could she have for that? Petreaus gave her total access while she wrote his biography. So why did she need classified documents? She had to steal them, so something isn’t adding up here.
It didn’t add up, when Bill Clinton was walking our missile secrets off bases and selling them to China either. That’s why Ron Brown got scrubbed.
Before I believe that she actually “smuggled” classified documents out of the base and had them on her computer I’d wonder that if any such documents WERE on her computer, how did they get there? I wouldn’t automatically assume SHE was the one who put them on her computer….I really don’t see a reason she would have for doing that. It seems too coincidental, especially if “someone” was trying to build a case against Paula Broadwell, silence/discredit any testimony she might give in the future. She did come out and say that the CIA was using the Benghazi annex as a holding facility for Libyan prisoners (although that was said at a talk she gave to other CIA people who supposedly would have also had high-level security clearances). Not a detail I’m sure the OB Administration/State Dept would like out there….

What in heaven’s name was she doing “befriending” all these high-level military brass, FBI agents, etc. That REALLY seems suspect to me. Her family immigrated to the US from Lebanon in the mid-70′s. She appeared on the scene at MacDill in 2008 (hmmm) and seems to have gone to work immediately enmeshing herself into the families of important military officers. So far Benghazi is their best bet. Voter fraud, if it can be proven, and if it can be proven that he knew would be another good one. Fast and furious is still there, but they seem to be moving away from that. It’s the way politics has been done since Watergate. As far as I can tell, they’re all wasting a lot of our time and money.

I have a few hunches about Ms Feinstein, and she is not Obama friendly. (I do in fact like some aspects of Feinstein especially in relation to matters pertaining to the security of the USA. I would trust her as a POTUS before I could ever trust the man who has the job. That is all I am saying).
Senator Diane Feinstein has been on the receiving end of Obama’s misogyny more than once now. Feinstein actually found out about it from the news media! I was thinking of this a lot the last few days. My mother grew up in Connecticut during the FDR administration. Her family couldn’t stand him and were directly hurt by his socialist programs making the depression harder and prolonged. His popularity far outweighed Obama’s popularity that FDR was winning almost every state in the union without any term limits. He as well had an adoring media.

I wish the National GOP would get it in when it came to hispanics. The Texas GOP gets it. The most recent TX GOP convention altered its platform and took out the harsh rhetoric on immigration that the Tea Party put in two years ago.
It was a fierce debate between the most partisan members of the TX GOP and the hispanic republicans who argued for hours how that the rhetoric was preventing hispanics from jumping on the GOP bandwagon.
But the hispanic republicans won and swayed even the most partisan, tea-party members of the TX GOP. Now the TX GOP has a much softer platform on immigration.
Rick Perry is very popular among latinos here. I kinda want to see him run again because I know he will easily get over 40 % of the hispanic vote and all the democrats who keep saying TX will flip blue will panic then that YES the GOP can win latinos.
We even took some hispanic-majority counties that have always been written off for democrats, but we WON them. They try to scream it was gerry-mandering and ignore what’s happening in Texas.
They are the ones denying reality. The GOP is slicing into their latino vote not vice-versa. TX is the only state whose GOP has a very successful Latino solution one that will keep Texas safe for the GOP for years to come.
Because no exit polls were done in TX, they have to estimate based on county populations and turnout models. This means the left tries to play with the numbers to make Romney and Ted Cruz seem like they got less of the latino vote than they did. Even the best they can do is pretend Romney got only 27 %.
He did better than that. Ted Cruz did indeed hit the 40 % mark. If Rick Perry runs again he might get 50 %. Hispanics love Rick Perry here and trust him. They still remember in the primaries how he defended the Texas Dream Act. Texas is a model for winning hispanics to the GOP without pandering.

Marie — I hope this is true. I was a Rick Perry supporter until Fox News and some other powers made sure he’d lose the primary. The way I see the Latino immigration problem is that it’s like palimony on a national scale. There was never a legal agreement, but we let people move in, get comfortable, work for us. Now, they are saying “I gave you the best years of my life and I’m supposed to walk away with nothing?” It needs to be addressed in a humane way that doesn’t demonize them or demonize people like Sheriff Arpaio who are just trying to do the job they were hired to do. If Rick Perry runs again, I will support him.

I didn’t see anyone else link to this yet so sorry if this is a duplication. I think Kevin would make a great campaign manager, too, but I take issue with the classification of Hillbuzz as a “widely read gay conservative blog”. Kevin is a conservative writer who happens to be gay. I’m not sure why this is so difficult for some people to get. But I like the “widely read” part.

Excellent find, Banglabou! Isn’t it funny that the LA Times, like all leftist publications, still has to qualify someone’s “group” status? Gay, Latino, women, etc. They just don’t get that we are all Americans first.
Kevin’s site is rated four spots behind Hannity on the conservative sphere. Pretty damn proud that Kevin’s message is getting read and talked about by the likes of Rush Limbaugh.
That’s why we don’t stop fighting. The message IS getting through.
