Happy Monday everyone! I realize that the Limbaugh / Fluke story is just about dead, but I saw Sarah Palin post a video calling out the hypocrisy of the way Maher speaks about women on a regular basis. Maher, of course, is defended or even PRAISED by the left.
I seriously want to ask Debbie Wasserman Schultz how long it takes her to put on all that hypocrisy in the morning.

What are the odds that the perpetrator of the recent “workplace violence” in Kandahar is *extremely* familiar with local religious beliefs, and how long before we get his name?
My hunch is that all this stuff going on in Afghanistan is completely made up, as in told to do it by an administration or non existent. Burning of Korans I can see coming down from the administration. Shooting spree? I don’t even see it being real, I see it as a fictional story.
The Book of Obama: The Ganza Megillah
The story of Purim is found in the Book of Esther, a long, detailed story known as the “Megillah.” In Yiddish, the term “Ganza Megillah” has a number of meanings — usually a long story — which is how I am using it now. This week was Purim, the start of the post-mortem releases of the Breitbart tapes on Obama. This is the beginning of the Breitbart effort to force the first open media focus on the racism at the heart of so called Critical Race Studies and an honest examination of who Obama really is.
I think all three — Purim, Breitbart and Obama — are related in this Megillah.

ABC/Washington Post: Disapproval of Obama Handling of Gas Prices at 65%
President Obama’s Energy Secretary recently testified that his main focus is not to lower the price of gas but to decrease US dependence on oil. You’d think that those kinds of policies wouldn’t do much to endear people paying around $4 a gallon at the pump, and you’d be correct:

A focus on “clean energy” and the theory that rising gas prices would force Americans to buy Volts is coming back to bite this administration (hoist by their own biodegradable, carbon-neutral, crony capitalist, Gore-approved petard), but they do appear to be trying to actively ward off events that might make the price go even higher before the election.
Want to see what the Global Warming crowd is up to now? After they were proven to be frauds, “scientists” have decided that Global Warming makes you FAT! Yes, boys and girls, too much CO2 in the atmosphere makes you fat! How do we know? Danish Global Warming scientists decided to study statistics relating to weight gain of a subject group of adults over a period of 22 years. It was determined that, no matter what their starting weight, almost ALL of the subjects gained weight over the 22 year period. The scientists also posit that carbon dioxide levels on the atmosphere have ALSO increased over that same 22 year period. Therefore, it is the CO2 in the atmosphere that is causing our metabolisms to slow down over time, and NOT hormones, or sedentary jobs or lack of exercise or busy lives and fast food… it’s GLOBAL WARMING!
Now think about this. Have YOU gained weight in the past 22 years? Hmmm, let’s see… 22 years ago I was around 30, had no kids, was an avid skier, swimmer, bicyclist, etc., had time to go dancing at night, and weighed about 120 pounds. 22 years and three kids later I don’t have time for any of those things, I sit behind a computer or sit in meetings at work all day, I commute in the car for 2.5 hours per day (and have for YEARS) and I’m post-menopausal and I eat a lot of fast food and restaurant food because I’m too tired and too busy to cook. I confess, I weigh somewhat more than 120 pounds.
I am so happy to know that it’s NOT MY FAULT!!! I’m not FAT! I just breathe too much CO2! If the government would just enforce Cap&Tax, I could get thin again! Of course, I could also just stop breathing…

Gov. Palin is absolutely right in calling out the left for its hypocrisy re sexism/misogyny. Leftists such as Maher, Letterman, Louis C.K., et al, are rarely if ever called out for their women-hating remarks, which they use prolifically and gratuitously, all in the name of so-called ‘comedy’ or ‘humor.’ She is also correct in calling out BO for accepting a million-dollar campaign contribution from misogynist Maher and in calling on BO to return it, if he wishes to prove that he genuinely ‘cares’ about women as people, as was obviously the hoped-for takeaway from his PR-stunt phone call to Fluke. It’s certainly no surprise that BO has refused to return misogynist Maher’s contribution. Those of us who observed the abject sexism/misogyny of BO and his campaign against HRC in the ’08 primary and against Gov. Palin in the ’08 general know that, if this weren’t an election year, neither BO, his campaign nor indeed any pols or talking heads would give women or women’s issues even a moment’s notice. Only because women’s votes are direly needed, particularly by BO in trying to eke out re-election, have the ‘contraception kerfluffle’ and over-hyped women’s healthcare issues received the spotlight. Note, however, that these issues relegate/reduce women to nothing more than their anatomy/biology, which is precisely the problem with how BO (and other sexists/misogynists) view women. This is absolutely absurd to any woman who genuinely desires to be regarded/treated as a self-determining individual person in all aspects of life. Any woman who buys the b.s. that BO or any Ds ‘care’ about their issues is seriously deluded or has been living under a rock for the past four years, given BO’s stated love for JayZ and his ’99 Problems and a Bitch Ain’t One,’ BO calling a woman reporter ‘sweetie,’ flipping off HRC during a debate he was losing, his ’08 campaign t-shirts ‘bros b4 hos’ and ‘Palin is a c–t,’ or the fact that few women occupy positions of power in the BO administration. Clearly, the difference between BO’s sexism/misogyny and that of other leftists such as Maher is just a matter of degree. The national discourse needs to get back to spotlighting the issues that genuinely matter, like saving what’s left of our nation from the destructive policies of BO and his leftist goons/loons.
Progressives rely on identity votes and wedge-issue votes. Kevin has been saying this for as long as I’ve been reading HillBuzz. One of those identity votes is the gay vote, another is the woman vote.
The strategy is to “own” the identity, and to turn that group in a “victim” en masse, even if no victimization actually exists. Then you agitate, and drive the identity out to vote and/or do your bidding.
This has been a highly successful political strategy for progressives. But it has the opposite effect on the groups themselves. Think about it — the progressives want your vote, but getting your vote depends on you believing on BOTH believing you are a victim, AND believing that the progressives are the only ones who can “save” you.
Once you are “saved”, both requisites are gone. But as long as you continue to believe you are being victimized by “the other side”, you are a reliable patsy for the progressive movement. Hence, the progressive have very little incentive to actually help your identity group, and instead prefer to keep you in the “victim” state of mind while keeping you uninformed and handing you hollow victories so you don’t wise up to the fact that your real abusers are the progressives themselves.
After the robocalls I’ve been getting recently, I’ve had it. If Santorum is the nominee, I will not vote for him. These robocalls have been downright disgusting and treats me like a moron.
You know, going out tomorrow to vote wasn’t that high up on my priority list. But thanks to Rick Santorums robocalls, I’ll happily go out and vote for Newt Gingrich.
Just curious, what are they saying?

It’s odd that Obama obviously thinks Palin is a threat so he has to campaign against HER. All I say is…. you GO, girl! When someone lives rent free in the minds of the Obama administration, she’s proven herself to be highly effective.

I have tended in the past to be non-confrontive in my social and familial interactions. I shocked a left-leaning relative into stunned silence this weekend with calm, measured, truthful words. He had absolutely no comeback.
I love this person dearly, but the past four years have put a strain on our relationship that we have both worked hard to endure. I know of others who have been abandoned by friends and relatives because they have spoken out against the leftist policies of this administration.
It’s so sad it’s come to this.

When I first confronted left-leaning relatives or friends, I was totally out of my comfort zone and very uncomfortable since I wasn’t the aggressive type but just could not keep my mouth shut any longer, so everything just spilled out…it was what I called ‘having a Kevin moment’ or ‘what would Kevin say?? NOW it’s what would Kevin and Andrew say or do?
As you stated, when smacked in the face with facts, there isn’t much of a comeback.
We all need friends like Patti keep our minds focused to put it out there and take a swing.

As I have previously mentioned, I too lost my best friend of 45 years and two cousins who just would not listen to any type of reason at all. They drank to much kool aid and listened to Keith Oblablaherman so much they were brainwashed. Sad.

It would seem so. He was pretty sure it wasn’t going to last longer than a few weeks and that was a few weeks ago. I know there were multiple problems with it but I’m not sure if he’s trying to get it fixed or going with a new machine.
Went to the Republican caucus tonight in Hawaii. Our polling location was very full. Had to wait about 45 minutes to cast my ballot, which is saying a lot for the liberal region of a liberal state where D’s outnumber R’s 3:1. People are feeling that this is the moment when we have to take a stand. Hope this is a positive portent for November.
No, the real Conservatives are NOT going after OUR LADY PARTS!!! As many here are former PUMA participants, we had a front row seat to Obama’s first “War on Women” against. Now, he targets Sarah (who is at least game enough to return fire). This time, I think he has badly miscalculated which organ women are going to be using Nov. 6th to vote.
In my opinion, Bill Maher is a truly ugly man, through and through. He has no class. I can think of only one time when I’ve agreed with him and it is his opinion about terrorists. Other than that, to expect him to apologize for the ugly things that he’s said, forget about it.

Tony Ray Thornton, the president and CEO of the Planned Parenthood Association of Lubbock, Texas, was arrested on Monday (3/14/12) for exposing his genitals in a park to another man.
A local media outlet reported:
Lubbock police say Tony Thornton, 56, was arrested just before 3:30 Monday afternoon at the baseball fields inside of Mackenzie Park.
He was arrested for indecent exposure and transported to the Lubbock County Detention Center where he remained until 11 a.m. Tuesday, when he posted a bond of $750.
