Herman Cain needs our help.
The Cocktail Party has already picked our nominee so all of us who do not want Romney as our 2012 nominee should just pack up and go home. It’s over. Romney is it.
Here are the results of the National Journals Political Insiders Poll…
| Rank the top five candidates, 1 through 5, in terms of who you think is most likely to capture the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. | |
Republicans (105 votes) | |
| CANDIDATE | INSIDERS INDEX SCORE* |
| Mitt Romney | 98 |
| Rick Perry | 72 |
| Herman Cain | 47 |
| Newt Gingrich | 31 |
| Rick Santorum | 13 |
| Jon Huntsman | 11 |
| Michele Bachmann | 7 |
| Ron Paul | 5 |
| *Methodology: In tallying the rankings, a first-place vote was worth 5 points, a second-place vote was worth 4 points, and so on. The Insiders Index reflects the percentage of points that each contender received out of the maximum possible. For example, Mitt Romney scored an Index rating of 98, meaning he received 98 percent of the possible 525 points, the number he would have if all 105 participants in the poll this week had ranked him first. | |
The ruling class of the GOP don’t want Herman Cain. They’ve spent too much time and money grooming Mittens to let an outsider like Mr. Cain take the nomination. They seem to be ignoring one little fact…
We the people decide who will be our nominee.
It’s our votes that count…it doesn’t matter what Karl Rove or Charles Krauthammer or Chris Christie or any of the other good little GOP puppets want.
Herman Cain needs our help. NOW. He needs money and he needs volunteers. He needs people on the ground in Iowa and New Hampshire but I ‘m sure his campaign could use help everywhere.
Let’s help Herman Cain win the GOP nomination (and 2012 presidency).
Please go to his campaign website and donate….either your time or money or both.
The American people should decide who’s best for our country.

Where is Sarah on all of this? Has she endorsed any candidate? Will she?
Short note: I joined the Orange Country Republican Executive Committee early last year. (This is Florida's Orange County, not the California version.) We were the people who hosted the Presidency 5 straw poll last month.
The Winner??? Herman Cain!! Not just by a little, but big time. Since then, Herman has rocketed to the top of the GOP polls, and has stayed there.
Last Thursday, I went to the October meeting of OCREC. During the meeting, the Chairman opened the floor to any representative of any GOP candidate to give a 5 minute presentation, saying whatever they wished. He announced that there was in the house a representative for Herman Cain, and the groundswell of applause and elation just rocked the hall. It made my hair stand on end. The chairman also announced that there was a representative also for the Romney campaign, and the response was the most tepid and bored hand-clapping I've ever heard.
The point? Forget what you hear in the media, the support for Herman Cain in the Republican Party is driving far deeper than anyone would have figured.
Since being a member of the Executive Committee (which was delightfully easy, I am happy to say. All you have to do is ask, attend a training session, and get voted for approval at the next meeting), I have gotten to meet all the candidates, both local and national, close up and in person. I've gotten to hear them speak in a small hall where they can say what's on their minds to a friendly crowd.
Also, I have gotten to see the inner workings of the GOP to a better extent than ever in my life. I can see the Old Guard at work at times. Last year, the Old Guard wanted Bill McCollum for Governor, and the Tea Party Rebel, Rick Scott, was given a pretty good stiff-arm. McCollum has been a Conservative Republican for nearly 30 years, and frankly, is a pretty good guy. I've voted for him several times, and I'd take McCollum over any Democrat anywhere.
When Rick Scott prevailed, the dismay and disappointment was palpable in OCREC, and no one tried to hide it. Many of them had known McCollum for decades, and he is personally a good man. However, the Tea Party prevailed, and the Exec Committee gave a big sigh of disappointment, but then drew together behind Rick Scott. We also got behind Sandy Adams and Daniel Webster, and in so doing, we removed two of the most awful Democrats in the House, Alan Grayson and Suzanne Kosmas.
What I'm telling you is that the Cocktail Party can be defeated. We've done it here, and it can be done anywhere. Join your local Executive Committee. Your very presence shows them that they are being watched, and every "Establishment" kind of move will get noticed and made public. No one in the GOP gets to make the old 'smoke-filled room' cronyism without risking being identified and confronted.
Remember, they are politicians, and they don't like being scrutinized and/or criticized. The Rebels have invaded the Palace, and they're doing so in far larger numbers than the Main Media ever wants to acknowledge.
So join the Rebels and take the control of the GOP away from them. I have not had so much fun in years. You will, too.
Precisely!! Rush always says two things: 1) NEVER believe the polls, they will always lean towards who is paying for them or else have their own agenda; 2) It is way too early in the process for determining the end result.
Doesn't the National Journal lean left ? I would think their readers would want the candidate Obama can beat
Hanging out with recovering dems, indies and the tea party conservatives…..NOBODY LIKES ROMNEY as their first choice!
I have made my decision and now, I am riding on the "Cain Train". I took the advice of a blogger and bought a ticket. I really like the other passengers. They are nice ordinary folks. The really nice thing about the "Cain Train" is the conductor, Mr. Herman Cain. He knows how to keep us off the side tracks and keep us on the right track. Oh my, "She'll be comin' 'rond the mountain when she comes. She'll be champion of America when she comes, when she comes."
Cain has given up a great opportunity. Many Blacks and Hispanics might have considered putting another Black Man in the White House, But he has been very loose with his words. He said racism was not a problem in America and that it's our own fault when we attempted to have our voices heard through Occupy wall street and that t it's our own fault that we're not rich. Now the shoe is on the other foot and it's his own fault. But you will be ok because the White people really love you.
