Herman Cain 2012

Posted on October 12, 2011 by Bridget // 2012 Elections, Cocktail Party GOP, Consistent Mistakes, Enabling the Left, General Stupidity, Hillbuzz, Tea Party

I am officially kicking off the Hillbuzz for Herman campaign.  I am sick and tired of the main stream media (including conservative talk show hosts) telling us that Mitt Romney will be the next GOP nominee.  It’s as if a memo was sent out and everyone is following the same script.  There are a few exceptions….Rush, Mike Gallagher, Mark Levin, Sean Hannity.  I was listening to Hugh Hewitt yesterday afternoon and he was yucking it up with a couple of guests (I can’t remember who they were) and they pretty much announced Mitt as the next Republican nominee.  It really ticked me off.  Where is the outrage from the Tea Party?  Please don’t tell me the Tea Party leadership is striking a deal with Mitt.  Have you all been hearing the reports that Mitt’s advisers have met with Obama’s advisers to discuss how to get Obamacare up and running?  This country can’t stand 4 more years of Obama….or Romney.

We have got to get moving NOW and get behind Herman Cain.  I heard him on the Neal Boortz show today and he said that his campaign donations have increased since he won the Florida straw poll but he will still need a lot more money to take on the Romney establishment machine.

I sent the Cain campaign an email 2 days ago telling them that Hillbuzz is behind them and asked  what we can do to help.  I haven’t heard back from them so….

If anyone is involved directly with his campaign or knows someone who is…PLEASE  have them email us at this link.  We would love to do an interview for the site or possibly have Kevin do a radio interview.

If you can afford to donate either your time or a few dollars to help Herman Cain become the next GOP nominee, visit his campaign site…

Donate here.

Sign up to volunteer here.

Anything to help!  We can not let the establishment pick our candidate for us.

He's certainly looking like the best choice. I am still keeping my powder dry as Governor Palin would say even though she's announced against a run. Personally I won't be endorsing anyone until the very end.

I am also a little concerned about the 9-9-9 plan. Just what we'll need is to elect another big taxing and spending liberal down the road who converts it to 12-12-12 or 15-15-15.

Someone needs to adopt Palin's very simple solutions. Cut the current tax code for individuals all across the board, eliminate corporate taxes, and lower burdensome regulations.

If Palin endorses any of these clowns she is a RINO. The only true conservative left in the race is a WOMAN: Michelle Bachman
Michelle will restore our CHRISTIAN values and will destroy the Muslims.

Carmelo, I gotta say man, I love to see people stickin' to their guns! Michelle Bachman herself said that this is NOT the year to just settle but the year to elect a TRUE conservative! And every comment I read from you is right in line with that. Do you see the possibility of Cain and Bachman splitting votes and handing the nomination to the Ken-Doll himself, Mittens?

Romney will never win Iowa or South Carolina. The conservative vote can't be split because there is only ONE conservative in the race with a strong RECORD: Michelle Bachmann.

Cain is a clown using the race card to get attention. But where is this idiot on marriage, abortion, guns, foreign policy, immigration, where is his RECORD, his SPEECHES, his TRAVELS, his VOTES, WHERE????

I will tip toe in and say I am not 100% ready to get behind Mr. Cain. I have some real concerns about his 999 plan. And, I was shocked to hear him say he thinks Greenspan was the best Fed Chairman in recent times!! YIKES!!!!

But, my biggest problem with him is the 999. I think the more people learn about it and study it, it will be a loser for him. A NEW tax? What kind of door would we be opening? I just can't go there yet. Maybe never.

I am once again, a girl without a candidtae. After witnessing this debate, I am even more convinced we need Gov Palin!!

One thing most peopel do not recall abut Greenspan, and par tof what Cain mentioned is Greenspan worked with the administration at all levels. For example then treasury Secretary O'Neil (to my mind one of the finest Treasury Secretaries) adn Greenspan worked very closely together and built a strong case fro using the then surplus to shore up Social Security and Medicare, an approach that was ultimately discarded by Bush and Cheney who opted for tax cuts – sigh. Both Greenspan and O'Neil spent their political capital on that push, and were pushed back by Cheney who had Bush's ear with this ridiculous Reagan proved deficits do not matter mantra. Greenspan had his faults but he was dealt a bad hand in Bush who blew the singular best chance to shore up Social Security.

At first thought, it makes perfect sense for a free-thinking conservative to be critical of the 9-9-9 plan. One thinks "a new tax? I don't like that, another way to get their dirty hands on my hard earned money". I understand that thought process but go a layer deeper and think even more critically. There's no need to worry Cain is going to be raising the 9-9-9 on you, it only works with the numbers 999; he (and everyone else) has to keep the numbers 999 for it to work until he can introduce the fair tax. The plan is the single greatest idea to boost our economy yet .Most wage earners will be seeing a massive decrease in the taxes to the feds, the base will be expanded to collect a more "fair" proportion, the sales tax will pick up a huge chunk of the underground economy and imagine the benefits from a business perspective: jobs, jobs, jobs. Not to mention the ability the plan will give us to start chipping away at the debt and excessive spending that this country is drowning in. You say someone down the line will hike it up? The transparency and simplicity of 999 allows the electorate to keep government accountable, unlike our jumbled, evolving, catastrophically expensive current tax code. It needs real reform, real quick, or we are at risk of signing our lives over to the government and in effect, China, regardless. Cain is the only one with the stones to do the right thing for the people, and not compromise away our liberty. People said Barack would bring change we could believe in, but those of us with half a brain new his change would bring us where we are today. Cain's change is common sense, no BS, restore America's greatness change, and as a college student, it excites me to be a part of an election cycle where I have a chance to vote for a man who represents all the greatness America still has in her – and I want to be a part of it. Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness…If you're not rich, it's your fault…Yes We Cain!

9-9-9 is the opening discussion, NOT a final solution. Cain has said several times that it is a bridge to The Fair Tax (see fairtax.org and really learn about how ingenious it is!). The whole purpose of 9-9-9 is to get people to LOOK at the current tax code vs. simple flat taxes. Time to do our own homework on all of these ideas.
We do NOT need a savior. That's what we have now, and that inspires no one to do anything but wait around to be 'saved.' These 'protests' are the fruit of that vine. Cain is a LEADER. A leader cannot lead stationery objects. We must all start moving! Then he can show us the directions.

But, how many 'opening discussions" have started with 'give me this tax and we'll do the rest later", only to have "later" never come? We know that history shows the the mid-term after a Presidential election is often disastrous for the incumbent party. What happens if we end up with another Reid/Pelosi combo? Or, if things don't turn around quickly enough, we get another Obama? I can't get behind a plan that adds a new tax. The beauty of the original Fair Tax legislation is that it would not add a National Sales Tax until the other taxes are repealed. While I may trust Herman Cain to keep his word, I do NOT trust congress or the media's penchant for pillorying a conservative president. It's too dangerous to have an NST before the other taxes are gone, plain and simple.

If the Tea Party has anything like the influence it had in the 2010 Mid Term elections, Romney will NOT be the GOP nominee. Sure the MSM and cocktail party Republicans want him, but the Tea Party has a track record of not paying any attention to those two. Remember, no primaries have been held yet. So let the talking heads talk, we'll do the talking in the voting booth.

When I first got up this morning, my AT&T home page was running a story that Herman Cain's 9-9-9 plan stole the show. Good, good. My husband then pulled up his fave news source, The Washington Post (ick, I know) and it was glowing with praise for "clear front runner", Willard Mittens. I don't want to bust on the guy too badly because I 'd still vote from him over Obama. BUT – I don't like the majorly left leaning WaPo trying to pick my candidate for me.

At this point, I'm in Camp Cain.

My concern about Cain is that he is a Stage 4 liver cancer survivor. I am afraid the stress of being President (since I expect that he will actually do the job, and not golf all the time), will bring his cancer out of remission and we'll have a very sick man as president. Does this concern anyone else?

I love how bold he is, but he also needs to stop biting at the bait given by the MSM, like that tripe about the painting on the rock at a hunting lease used by the Perrys. They painted over it, they didn't write it on the rock, yet Cain was baited into saying that Perry was insensitive or something like that. His problem is that he's an honest man, and expects honesty from others, but you're not gonna get honesty from the media who are in the tank for Obama and the Dems.

I'm a big Hugh Hewitt fan, but I haven't been able to listen to him bash Cain the last few days. Basically, he called us fools if we vote for him because he could never beat Obama. He has a few good points, but I smell Cocktail Party in his comments. That and he LOVES Romney. I get it, but don't insult the rest of us who have a burning desire for a real conservative.

Couldn't be that as the author of A Mormon in the White House he wants his book to be relevant and pick up a few notches over at Amazon, now could it? At least he's had the good sense not to bash Sarah, but he is Establishment through and through.

What I like about Cain is that he has been all over the US throughout his life and held many jobs. He understands the nuances of what it means to be an American. With the corporate world, it isn't just a guess after reading a book on how things work. I think he could really get the country on track and focus not just on jobs but on infrastructure. I do have concerns about his 999 plan. … I can't pay for his idea and all of the other taxes (including state sales tax, property tax, etc.) I currently pay.

That is what my husband said also when I told him that I was disappointed she was not running. The MSM has done a number on her and even though 99.99% is unfounded and can be proven to be unfounded, most people do not bother to research in depth to find out the truth.

Yesterday while changing channels I saw Nicole Wallace on Bil Maher and decided to watch it for a bit to see what she said. It seems that she recently wrote a book and the VP in the book is, to use her words, Koo, Koo. Of course, Maher had to bring up Palin and she said that she quit her governing of Alaska and would quit the presidency or something like that. Anyway, my point is that is what most Americans are listening to and believe the Tina Fey line as the truth and all of these other loons without bothering to find out the truth.

Though I like Cain, I'm not ready to campaign for him. Definitely NOT a fan of a VAT tax – my husband comes from England and the cost of living is insane. 9-9-9 just opens up a can of worms. I'm going to sit back and watch for now. I'm not ready to throw my support behind anyone until I'm 100% certain that Sarah is not running, either with GOP or as an independent. There has been increasing buzz about her running as Independent…I'm thinking there might be something to it.

I had to hold my nose & vote for McCain in '08. I do not want to have to do it with Romney in '12! There is no perfect candidate, but Cain is better than the rest of the field! He's a problem solver and will take a fresh approach. It's time for professional politicians to go away!

I really like Cain and he is a breath of fresh air to watch, but have some serious concerns. He tried to be a politician in GA by running for office, but wasn't elected. This doesn't mean he is not a politician because he did not win.

His business is motivational speaker, and most of his stops around the country have been to promote his new book, he even used campaign funds to purchase a lot of them (which could contribute to his book moving up higher) and that seems to be his main focus. Also, he has no military experience which I think we have to have this time. Obama has put our boys in jeopardy by announcing to the enemy where they will be when & exact dates we are pulling out over the Generals' advice objections.

Cain also has switched positions on abortion (pro-choice in interview, then pro-life) and I don't like the way he pulled the race card about the Perry rock and then said lowkey the next day he believed Perry about his Father painting it when they began using the camp. He also said he would trade a hundred dangerous terrorists for one American hostage, although the US has been firm in not starting that. I just don't think he has the experience to run the number one office in the land. Neither did Obama.

I am very disappointed in Gov Perry's debate performances to date, but will say that all 7 candidates piled on him his first two debates (Perry had just had back surgery & had been dealing with the fires in TX). What I do like about Perry is his experiences:

    *Elected Governor 3 times
*Agriculture commissioner (wants to end all subsidies including energy)
    *Legislative
*Longest Border State ($400B of TX dollars spent on securing border, forced by Federal Govt to
support illegals through public schools & medical needs)
*Captain in Air Force for 5 years (flew many missions)
*Been Commander in Chief over Texas Guards who are routinely sent to help out both in & out of TX
*Biggest Job creator in nation! Perry created over 40% of all new jobs in nation last two years
*Been advocating form of flat tax for a long time (in his book released last year) & his 20% plan needs tweaking, but best out there to date (check rickperry.org to see how many & what sources they used to put it together)
*Energy plan that is right on (we produce our gas, etc needs & QUIT getting into wars with countries that hate us to protect "our interests" ). Believes in securing our relationships with our own border states (MX & Canada).
*Medicare/Medicaid block grants to states, cut out the red tape, let states figure out best way to use finds
*Balanced budget by 2020 with no more deficits
*Money held "offshore" by companies brought back to US for a one time tax rate of 5.25% if it bring jobs and business back to US

All I am saying is that I think proven leadership in all the areas that are needed to get our country turned around is very important right now, and I would give Gov Perry a long look. He is the only one with a proven record to beat Obama. We had the best debator in office (former law review, lawyer), how's that working for us????
