Have You Discovered Your Talent Yet — And Are You Ready to Employ It in the 2012 Elections?

Posted on February 26, 2012 by Kevin DuJan // Action Items, Gold Team - Creativity

Sometimes, the opening theme to “Challenge of the Superfriends” plays in my head when I start thinking about all the various forces aligned against America’s best interests today.

On that show — a favorite of mine as a little boy with jet black hair growing up in Cleveland (where the easiest and most-often deployed Halloween costumes were always Superman, James Bond, or Dracula) — the most sinister villains of all time banded together from remote galaxies to whale on everything good and decent in the world; it took a revolutionary and unlikely team-up of eclectic and unique individuals, with different talents, to thwart the “Legion of Doom”.

So it is now, in 2012, with George Soros (the closest this world has ever seen to a non-cartoon version of  Lex Luthor) and the assemblage of Leftists, anarchists, Communists, Islamists, and lunatics (but I repeat myself) who’ve long colluded with the would-be aristocrats in the Cocktail Party establishment’s permanent political class to actively plot against America and all that our nation stands for.

I want to make sure you realize something incredibly important — just in case no one ever took the time to specifically sit you down and say this to you:  YOU, and all the talents God gave you, are part of the force that is destined to thwart Soros, the Tolerant Left, the Cocktail Party, and the elite, agenda-driven media that avails them.

Every hero has an origin story, typically springing from humble beginnings.

Most had no intention of ever becoming part of the superhero trade.

Classically, it was the “mild-mannered” and “regular folk” who suddenly found themselves responsible for great power, through some accident of Fate, science, geography, or destiny.

More than a few resisted their calling, or were shackled with self-doubt, erroneously believing that, no, they really weren’t all that special or that they didn’t really have it in them to make a difference.

Some of the Superfriends had seemingly worthless or, at best, awkward powers — the like blonde in the Michael Phelps-approved Speedo racing suit who could talk to fish (but declined a career in ichthyological psychotherapy) or the guy who could shrink down really small (for often no good reason). Unless there was a lot of water nearby or a door that was locked (or something), these two probably felt they weren’t much help most of the time — until they stood back (or shrank really tiny) and saw the bigger picture, realizing their contributions combined with that of others to pack a mighty punch against the forces of chaos and persecution in the world.

I honestly and truly believe the Democrat Party was completely taken over in 2008 by people who want to destroy America as we know it, the way the Legion of Doom was forever attempted to usurp authority and reinvent the world in its own image.

I also truly believe the Cocktail Party GOP establishment contains great overlap with its counterparts at the DNC — to the point where the permanent political class on both sides of the aisle oftentimes seems interchangeable.

I think the elite, agenda-driven media in this country is dangerous because it spews nonstop propaganda designed to further the Tolerant Left’s anti-American agenda (while the Cocktail Party enables do nothing to stop it, of course).

I’m convinced that Lex Luthor George Soros is behind 80% of all this — because, simply, he wants to watch the world burn and intends to cause as much suffering and destruction before he dies as possible (figuring, I think, that if he’s too bad a person to get into Heaven, perhaps if he does enough evil he’ll win a better suite in Hell).

Sometimes, sitting down and thinking about everything America’s up against is beyond daunting — it’s downright terrifying. The Tolerant Left, the Cocktail Party establishment, and the Elite Media have unlimited resources and a near-stranglehold on information and access to the corridors of power.

You might think, “What can I do? I’m just so-and-so from Anyplace, USA…and they’re the ones with all the power”.

I might not know you, but I know you have talent.

You’re reading a political website on a gorgeous Sunday morning when you could be out enjoying a sunny day — so I know you have a love of country.

I bet you’re thinking about the talents you possess and how you can use them in this election, so I know you are smart and already taking the first steps toward action (whether you realize it or not).

It’s a cheesy, 70s cartoon show for kids — sure — but admit it:  if you listen to the opening narration and see all those super villains assembling, I bet you can’t help but replace them in your mind with Soros, Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, Claire McCaskill, Willard “Mittens” Romney, John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow, Katie Couric, and others in the ranks of the Tolerant Left, Cocktail Party, or Elite Media (a Triumvirate of Doom actively working against what’s best for this country).

I can easily replace the spandex-clad and caped wonders on the Superfriends’ side with all the amazing patriots I’ve met since 2008 who comprise the American Resistance with their Tea Party spirit.

There is hope…REAL hope, not the Hopeychange, unicorn-delivered nonsense that Obama peddled so aggressively four years ago.

America has a real chance to survive and thrive — provided YOU start seeing yourself as the hero I know you are, possessing incredible talents that only YOU know how to employ in the 2012 elections.

You don’t have to reveal your secret identity, but please take a moment to chime in below in comments to tell others what YOU think you can start doing this week to join the Resistance and ensure America’s victory over those who wish to destroy us. Be creative but realistic and honestly use part of today to think hard about how you can thank the Lord for the greatness he put in you by removing that bushel and letting YOUR individual light shine as best it can.

The most important thing I will do is educate myself and other people about how to take a rational approach to politics.

My question to you, at this point, is are we more likely to suceed at reforming one of the existing parties, or should we try to bring about the rise of a third party?

      Daniel –

Third Party talk helps Democrats — it is what Democrats want. The DNC is actively encouraging Jon Huntsman to trick Ron Paul supporters into going third party.

So unless your goal is to help Democrats, then you need to focus on toppling the Cocktail Party and helping the Tea Party take over the GOP.

Third Parties help Democrats. Let 1992 be a constant reminder to you.

Yes, at this point, there is not a viable third party which will do well nationally — parties like the Constitution Party are making some inroads in local/state races, but are not ready for a nationwide race yet.

To answer the question put forth by the post, right now, as a Christian, I am convicted to do a few things:

          * Participate in efforts to ensure voter integrity
          * Better educate myself (I still keep finding areas where my government education indoctrination still exist) and help educate others as to what a Biblical worldview is and how we are to operate as Christians
          * Keep studying Scripture, so I can discuss with progressives and others who do not have a good understanding of what the Bible says as to why our politicians who use Scripture to justify their government solutions are incorrect
          * Learning more about our country’s Christian heritage, utilizing David Barton’s (WallBuilders.com) excellent DVD series
          * Most importantly, I am praying for this country

          Ephesians 6:10-18a:

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.

My personal opinion is that we must try to wrangle the Republican party back to fiscal conservatism, individual liberty, constitutional protections, and honoring rights to privacy.

The reason is because the Democrats currently have too many advantages. If you've been reading Hillbuzz for awhile then you know what I mean. They are better at mobilizing the vote, the are better at agitating, they are better at solidifying support behind a particular candidate or policy through manipulation of wedge issues.

A good example: Washington State was in the news recently for legalizing gay marriage. What didn't make the news is that the state Congress was in an emergency legislative session called specifically to address Washington's financial crisis.

So, a special legislative session is called, and the first order of business is to legalize gay marriage. Why would that be? Why wouldn't they wait for a normal session to legalize gay marriage?

The answer, in my opinion, is that the current Democrat governor is on her way out, and there is a tough election coming up with a strong Republican candidate. By passing gay marriage NOW, it gives opposition groups time to put an anti-gay marriage initiative on the ballot, thereby creating a wedge issue and mobilizing a huge voter block in Washington to come out and vote Democrat.

The country is full of examples like this. The Democrats play a game of strategy, and they think at least four years ahead. Obama's election was proof of that.

Splitting the conservative vote into two parties might one day give rise to a more conservative America, but in the mean time, I think the Democrats will have their way with the Presidency. It splits our already disadvantaged election architecture into two parts, each weaker than the former whole. Instead, I feel the Republican party needs to STRENGTHEN itself, and it should start by listening to people like Kevin.

Then what we need is articulate constitutionalists who can attack progressive ideology and promote capitalism and freedom in a truly Reagan-esque fashion. I'm OK with the current GOP field, but none of them light my fire like Reagan. I think the GOP has some rising stars though. People like Rubio, West, Haley, and even Christie. The future looks bright ahead, as long as we can get through these dark days.

I've noticed that the consistancy of Ron Paul supporters seems to be almost equally Democrat and Republican, yet even that is overshadowed by the large amount of indepents supporting him. Do you think that his supporters would easier support changing the republican party, or form a party of their own? Because of the amount of Democrats and independents who vote Democrat, don't you think that his supporters might tear more from the left than the right?

Here's a suggestion that doesn't take much talent. Only some sticky notes. It's pretty cool.

Just take a pack of “Post Its” write your anti-Obama slogan and then leave one on the gas pump or the grocery shelf during your next visit. Check it out.

Example: FULL OF HOPE AND CHANGE WITH AN EMPTY TANK—NOBAMA 2012

    Some folks had interesting suggestions.

I've been part of the resistance since I left my former party in May of '08. I never miss an opportunity to educate (or re-educate, as the case may be) those who are low- or no-information voters about what the Oborg is and what it represents. This administration is working overtime to undermine the Bill of Rights and the Constitution on a daily basis.

Never let an obamabot get the last word, particularly in public–pummel them with facts until they cry uncle…and then pummel them some more. Our future is too important to take the high road with these useless toadies. My advice, for whatever it's worth is to infiltrate their blogs, stand your ground, and undermine them using their own divisive tactics, e.g., reminding them of all of O'Blivion's false promises and how he is taking them for granted. Turn Alinsky's own tactics back on them. His followers aren't smart in any real-world sense–just naive idealists susceptible to suggestion.

    Just my $0.02.

“Never let an obamabot get the last word, particularly in public–pummel them with facts until they cry uncle…”

And it’s surprisingly easy to accomplish this with even a minimum amount of facts on your side. The vast majority of Obamabots are all talk and no substance.

Unfortunately, it’s nearly impossible to get them to concede even the most minor point. Even when they admit they cannot counter you, they still manage to maintain they are right and you are wrong.

That’s why the “in public” part is important. I remember this whenever I argue with a progressive, especially on another site and ESPECIALLY Facebook. I don’t do it expecting to change their mind… but I might get through to someone else who happens to be watching the conversation.

There were some good ads prior to the 2010 elections with the theme “Remember in November”‘ Perhaps those will resurface again. What I am trying to do it put together a matrix of issues by topic and include Obama actions (or inactions in some cases), each issue in the matrix must be supported with facts and resources cited. The idea is to use it as a means to educate / remind voters (think Gibson Guitar, Fast & Furious). If I had the talent, I would use this info and present it in videos. I have always been a fan of detective shows, I grew up watching them with my mother. The slogans “Just the Facts, ma’am” or “The story you are about to see is true” (from the Dragnet TV show) is a theme I have in mind and if there is a way to couple that with Get Smart’s “Cone of Silence” on how the media drives the Leftist agenda by treating voters as stupid I think it could be an effective way to get the message out.

Similar to my idea posted above (Just the Facts, ma’am) I came across a blog site which has an interesting idea, it might be one to partner with check it out –

“What is LET ME BE CLEAR?

LET ME BE CLEAR is a new series, created exclusively for FVI by a local digital artist, to counter the Obama TRUTH TEAM which was unveiled by his campaign on February 13

LET ME BE CLEAR is dedicated to spotlighting the many easily documented contradictions, misrepresentations and just plain nonsense that make up the President’s “truth”.

FVI’s goal is to provide its members and others, the facts about all that has occurred to destroy American exceptionalism, the U.S. Constitution and our position throughout the world during Mr. Obama’s presidency.

By providing the simple facts of his record, we all can counter pro-Obama supporters as they present Obama’s version of the truth in impromptu conversations which come up in our daily lives. Plus, an educated member will be more vocal, more confident and feel more energized, all of which is needed as we work to ensure Mr. Obama is a one-term president.” more at the link, I think it’s a brilliant idea
