Happy New Year from Senator Hottie McAwesome

Posted on December 31, 2009 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

We are now officially obsessed with electing Hottie McAwesome the next Senator from Massachusetts.

What karmic justice there is, too, in sending a Cosmo centerfold, objectified by so many women through the years, to fill the seat of deceased murderer and womanizer Ted Kennedy?

On January 2nd, we will start phone banking for Scott Brown every single day.  We hate phone banking.  We have only done this in the past for Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin.  We are going to do it every day from January 2nd – January 19th for Scott Brown.  We will try our level best not to call him Hottie McAwesome to voters on the phone, but can’t make any promises.  He is what he is. We are who we are.  Great Merciful Zeus, that dude’s a dreamboat.

And he’s also, as we keep saying, our only living hope to stop the destruction of our economy with the idiot-drafted, moron-approved Healthcare Rationing bill headed towards impact unless Democrats lose one vote in the Senate and open this up to filibuster.

Scott Brown will be the line of defense – from Massachusetts you had best believe there are many here who are committed to seeing him elected as the next Senator – Thank you Hillbuzz – for the Commonwealth and for the nation.

(not for nothing, but understand Harry Reid wants to move the Health Care vote to the 19th of January – the day of the election – what does Harry know and how bad are Coakley’s internal polls?)

I posted this over at the open thread for today, but figured I’d post it here too.

Thanks for covering the Scott Brown Senate race. Thank goodness for the blogs. For the life of me, I cannot figure out why talk radio hasn’t seemed to pick up the story. They could light up the national grassroots more and make the Indies, Repubs, and disgruntled Dems in Massachusetts fired up to go vote. If I saw the stats correctly, Independents are the largest group of registered voters in Mass.

If the Repubs can get another vote on health care, the Dems will be forced to use reconciliation. I heard DeMint and the guy from Ok (Colburn?) talk about it, and if Reid has to use reconciliation, the health insurance mandates have to leave the bill and the bill is time limited to 5 years, at which time it needs to be voted on again. Last I heard, the tax hikes take effect right away, but the actual “benefits” do not start until 2013 or 2014, at which time it can be shot down by the new Congress. Without the health insurance mandates that will surely put the companies out of business AND the government option, this POS bill will be hated by one and all, Left and Right. Waterloo.

Please correct me if I am wrong with my understanding of this bill under reconciliation. It will be a total piece of crap that raises taxes, establishes huge EXPENSIVE bureaucracy, and helps no one. It would not even be able to put insurance companies out of business to usher in the government option as a “savior”, because as I understand it, only budgetary issues are allowed for bills that are passed under reconciliation.

Most of the big talk radio folks are on Christmas break, and their shows are repeats or guest hosts. I’m hoping it will become a topic when they get back, especially if the callers bring it up. Herman Cain had a caller tell him about it while he was guesting for Boortz, and I think he put it on his website. It’s getting out there, slowly, but picking up speed.

If the Brown campaign doesn’t fire up the Republicans, it’s sure to fire up the female voters in Mass. :-)

Here’s a post from RCP that analyzes “McAwesome” (LOL) and his chances of victory. Note: it’s a little bit pessimistic, but not completely:

    http://realclearpolitics.blogs.time.com/2009/12/31/can-republicans-win-ted-kennedys-senate-seat/

In the first paragraph, the writer links to an NRO blog post that’s worth looking at. That makes me a bit more optimistic. That suggests that Coakley is on cruise control, lots of D voters will cross over, and a solid GOTV may be able to tip the scales.

I’m torn. I originally thought the big push to pass OBummerCare so quickly was because they were afraid of this special election coming on the heels of the NJ and VA elections. Since they now don’t appear to want to rush it through before the SOTU speech, I took that to mean their internal polling told them Coakley was safe. Now, I’m wondering if they think the bill will never be resolved, that Brown will win, and then they can blame Republican obstructionism for the UtopiaCare failure (a strategy I think would backfire, interestingly).

You guys are truly obsessed. I love the names you come up with for him. He is attractive though.

I do think that the RNC keeping this quite is a good thing. A lot of noise will get more dems to the polls. This is MA after all. Republicans don’t have an easy time there.

You Hillbabes are inspiring me again. I am a mom of 6, but I probably can scrape together some time to do some phone banking between now and Jan 19th.

Did I mention that the only times Repubs have won in MA is during special elections? Libs get lazy and stay home. Repubs do their duty.

Like Opus #6 says, I’m also willing to help in some phone calls. I don’t live in MA, but I’m willing to make some calls anyway. The state of MASS has GOT to get rid of the entrenched politics of the left, and if there’s any chance for change, it is Scott Brown. I will help in any way possible. Let me know. Thanks, boys, for all your hard work. You are truly appreciated.

I just donated to his campaign. Helps when he’s so easy on the eye. Seriously, helping this guy win will not only break Reid’s senate majority control…but as the 41st Senator, he could effectively throw a wrench in Obama’s Socialist Machine.

He needs all our help since its reported the GOP has abandoned him ala Owens-District23-UpstateNY.

    • Brianna says:
      2010/01/01 at 3:56 am

I’m going to donate too. I know times are tough for alot of us but 5, 10, 20(however much we each can afford) dollars will really help if we all pitch in across the USA. It’ll be money well spent if you consider the alternative of having our money wasted at record speed by the current administration with absolutely no results.
