Great Merciful Zeus, there is an Islamic Revolution underway in Egypt and security forces have abandoned Cairo

Posted on January 28, 2011 by Kevin DuJan // Featured Content, Great Merciful Zeus, Hillbuzz, Unveiling Islam

This is absolutely horrifying.

The secular (albeit dictatorial) government of Egypt is now on the verge of collapse — as security forces abandon the capital of Cairo.

No doubt, part of why this is happening is that Muslims worldwide know Obama is sympathetic to whatever they do, and with the Left in America controlling this country now, it’s a ripe moment in history to repeat the Islamization of the 1970s under Jimmy Carter.  A weak, foolish US president back then is echoed today by a weak, deceptive president in Obama…whom I have a very hard time imagining crying any tears over a secular government falling to Islamists.

Tunisia first, and now Egypt, becoming Islamized is an absolute horror show we will be dealing with for decades to come.

If you never got a chance to see the Sphinx and Pyramids, there’s always video of them on YouTube from other people’s vacations to live vicariously through, because you will not want to (or possibly be allowed to) go there again for a very, very long time (as in, you’ll be able to see Persepolis on the same trip as Luxor).

It feels a little like that moment in Star Wars when the Death Star fires on Alderaan and all Princess Leia could do was watch.

Another country falling to the medievalist evil that is Islam.

Absolutely horrifying.

They also shut down cell phones and the internet…this is the #1 reason I do not want a “turn off communications” button in the White House. Just like China, Iran, and now Egypt, it allows for information to be filtered through and we do not get the full story.

Makes me extremely sad and sick…

This is NOT a good thing. This is 1979 in Iran. Egypt…as ugly as it is…is instrumental in keeping Israel safe. When Eqypt falls into the hands of the Muslim fanatics…things will get very ugly in the Middle East. Lebanon just fell under radical rule. Here goes Eqypt. And Obama had a hand in it.

There are so many dangerous, bad, bad things that come out of this it can’t be listed here. Our military is NOT PLEASED.

This is EXACTLY what happened in 1979 and it is happening again. IGNORANCE on the part of the Liberals. Obama will own this. This is Obama’s Jimmy Carter moment.

Egypt falls. Lebanon fell last week and virtually went unmentioned in the media. Jordan is now having problems. That surrounds Israel completely with the fanatical Muslims. This is not a coincidence.

I am VERY disturbed at the press releases by the State Department. They are facilitating this crisis. This is a very, VERY bad situation.

The people I know in important places are VERY, VERY upset.

They are speaking out against the Eyptian government and endorsing the uprising. This is the Muslim Brotherhood who organized these protests. This was no spontaneous uprising. Wikileaks started this in Tunisia.. and given the statements by our state department and this morning statements…there is no doubt in my mind that Obama wants this to happen. It will have catastrophic results.

Guys, please remember that the aid that the US has given Egypt over the years has been mostly military aid. The nice thing about selling arms to countries in bad neighborhoods that may or may not be on your side is that if you supply their army, then you hold an incredible amount of leverage over them. Its a nice hedge for moments like this.

Thank goodness I got to see the ancient ruins in Egypt in 2006. I wouldn’t go after the uprising, especially if they are successful.

It is a real shame too. I was there for 2 weeks in 2006 and the Egyptian people are the friendliest and nicest people I have ever met abroad. Their main source of income is tourism.

They teach their children to speak English at a young age. Women can go to college, work & drive cars. I know the Muslim fundamentalists won’t like this at all. It will be the first thing the change, after driving all the foreigners out of their country.

Their economy will collapse without tourism. What fools these radical muslims are! They will end up destroying their country.

What the Moslim Brotherhood is looking to do is to restore the Caliphate which ended with the downfall of the Turkish Empire and the rise of Ataturk. The increasing radical turn of Turkey is also a worry therefore. As I previously said, the Brotherhood wants to remove the borders of the states of the Middle East, throw out the “Crusaders”, re-establish the Caliphate and you can guess what they want to do with Israel, can’t you?

I’m with you, Kevin, regarding Egypt’s cultural treasures; however I’m more pessimistic about it. They certainly are in danger. Depending on the outcome of these riots, they may go the way the Bamiyan Buddhas of Afghanistan. If they are destroyed, then the only place to see them will only be on a National Geographic DVD!

They have their stooge in the White House, and I suspect that he had somehow given a signal for this to happen.

I find it very interesting that for the past week or so we’ve been seeing stories about the Obama administration threatening the oil industry. It’s obvious Obama has not been on a talking basis with Mubarak. They have been sending out threats all week to Egypt…distancing themselves. Amazing, this morning they were poised and ready to threaten Egypt, cutting off Aid, making that announcement at the height of the riots against the government.

This afternoon they are talking about skyrocketing gas prices. Oh, those evil oil companies, right?

The “Obama-size” inflation is hitting the grocery stores. Gas prices going up. Oil industry under attack. Egypt..and the Middle East is imploding into a very bad situation.

    Glenn Beck anyone?

It is the 1970s redux. This is the final straw that proves the point… oil shock… high inflation, high unemployment and in your country weird interest rates that should be a lot higher.

Either way, what the world is facing thanks to that extremely creepy person in the White House is another huge economic crisis. It is called Stagflation.

Australia is being hit over the head as well. We have a Marxist Prime Minister who wants to increase taxes on incomes over $50k and she sees the flood disasters as the means to achieve her goal. She also wants that stupid price on carbon garbage…

P.S. That second paragraph of your post is spot on! This “uproar” in those Islamic countries has deja vu written all over it. Both cases have two weak and ineffectual POTUS’s in “power,” with Islamic sharks swimming about and smelling blood.

Only with Carter it was just basically Iran. Today’s situation is extremely dangerous because the fundamental Islamic uprising riots are taking place in se-ver-al countries. It sure looks like the dominoes are falling in the Middle East. This is a very dangerous situation for the WHOLE WORLD.

On the eschatological[sic?] side, perhaps the Fifth Prophecy of Bernadette Soubirous is now unfolding. In the late 1800′s she said that at the dawn of the 21st Century there’d be a big battle between the Muslims and the “Christian world.” Of course, people didn’t think much about it then because Muslims were not organized into nations states until after WWI. They were seen as a loose collection of tribes. Also, petroleum was not the trump card of the Muslim Middle East that it is now.

    Lord knows what’s coming up.

Not that the riots are a good thing, but you may have mis-represented them a bit.

I’m not entirely sure they’re “Islamic”-triggered, though that group will certainly try to take advantage of the chaos.

It may simply be caused by rising prices on food and other necessities that were caused by our wonderful “export inflation to everywhere pegged to the dollar” policy. If you’d like to point fingers and anyone, Bernanke, Geinther, and Soetero might be just a good a target as anyone else.

See here for a great post on this chain of events: http://market-ticker.org/akcs-www?post=178559

(Aside: Those countries shutting down the ‘Net is a bad, bad sign for us, especially when Soetero wants to have his own “kill switch”.)

I am not sure what the riots mean as well. I cannot support a dictatorship like Mubarak’s. If a rebellion leads to another form of dictatorship–an Islamic one–then that would be terrible too.

In the early 80s, I had several friends who fled the Iranian revolution. I was surprised when they told me the revolution (for them) was against the dictatorship of the Shah but it got co-opted by religious groups.

This is Obama’s Jimmy Carter moment. From here, as I predicted in this site several months ago, that is foreign policy what will doom this administration, not the economy.

The guy does not knows what to do. He has no experience, and sorry but Hillary Clinton is not helping him at all. Hillary is not a diplomat like Condi Rice or Henry Kissinger. And then Biden…folkzz, this administration will have to run only on race issues and keep saying Republicans are racists, because there is nothing else they can run on!

And wait for my prediction number 1 to occur: Iran’s nuclear test by next year!

Oh but… he said he had foreign policy experience because he had been to Pakistan… truly… that was it…

and people like fools lapped it up, did not question his total lack of experience… did not heed the warning signs….

He is 10 times worse than Jimmah Carter…. and I thought nobody could top him!!

Our local talk guy just had a Middle East expert on (who will be on Fox tonight) and he says the internet shutdown is necessary to keep Muslim Brotherhood from takng control of the chaos. Egypt has been growing economically, but the folks aren’t feelkng it, so the rising food prices and low pay may have been the spark. Walking a tightrope to keep the Islamists from seizing the country.

I am posting this link from Infidel Bloggers:

    http://ibloga.blogspot.com/2011/01/blogger-sandmonkey-is-in-egypt-tweeting.html

The person tweeting is the Egyptian blogger sandmonkey. In the past I have read his blog and this young man is NO Islamist. Neither are his friends….

If you click on the link you can read some of the tweets. What is obvious is that they are stating that this has not been started by Muslim Brotherhood.

The Govt is probably more interested in keeping control of Muslim Brotherhood than these other people. The link also suggests that Muslims and Christians are in this together.

Of particular note in the tweets is that they said if the troops fire at people in one location then it could be bad in Cairo.

There have been more than 18 deaths.

Here is a BBC report. It looks like the Duh Won sees this as “a crisis” that he cannot let go to waste:

Also, the leader of Muslim Brotherhood and an instigator of violence has been arrested.

Another interesting point is that John Leyne, who was considered by the Iranians to be behind the death of Neda is on the spot with news reporting… oh my….

I know I’ll get flamed for this, but I think this is a good thing. A younger generation of moderate muslims (and christians) are crying out for freedom. They don’t want the old oppressive, so called secular leadership of the older generation. This is exactly the thing George Bush was trying to accomplish with the toppling of Saddam Hussein.
This new generation aren’t like the islamic zealots in Iran in the 1970′s. They are a “internet connected” generation that want western freedoms.

I just want to add, I always thought the terrorists represented the ruling class (within their countries) trying to keep the people down.
As the world has become more connected and global, the middle eastern youth has become more westernized, which threatens the leaders because if the people get western freedoms the leaders lose their dominant power.

One final thing; the thing that pisses me off about liberals is their narrow minded world view. Everything is some parody of Marxism, the class and race struggle. They think the terrorists are oppressed poor people “fighting the man”. In reality the terrorists are the oppressor class trying to squelch freedoms. All these terrorist bombers seem to come from elite backgrounds, studying and living abroad, they aren’t illiterate goat herders.

Paul I have been reaching the same conclusions.

My reason is based upon what I know about the Egyptian blogger Sandmonkey. This particular person might be a Muslim but he has no time for the oppressive side of Islam.

I agree that the young people want westernized government, not Islamist government.

However, it seems that Iran is in the shadows, so the water is very murky.

There is none better than the Caroline Glick analysis:

    http://www.carolineglick.com/e/2011/01/the-pragmatic-fantasy.php

Glick makes some very important points about the “Nobel Laureate” Mohammed ElBaradei. He is a member of Muslim Brotherhood. Wait there is more to be known about this particular sleazebag:

ElBaradei is the person responsible for shielding Iran over the building of nuclear reactors. Did you get that? ElBaradei is closely tied to the Iranian Regime. He has returned to Egypt with the intention of attempting to wrest control from Muburak.

My view is that for the time being Muburak is far better than the alternative. ElBaradei will deserve his fate because he has deliberately helped Iran to get nuclear weapons, and he has lied to the UN on their behalf.

here is another link and with an interesting take:
    http://noiri.blogspot.com/2011/01/breaking-who-is-running-show-obama-or.html

Alan Peters has worked in Iran. Clearly he loves the old Iran (under the Shah). He makes some good points but I am not sure about his accuracy.

and if you think that Iran is not involved in some way other than with Elbaradei, here is some more evidence that Iran has a hand in the uprising in Egypt:

    http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/2011/01/as-i-said-.html

Perhaps some of the young people involved are being used by these other forces. Some of them are not the type that would be backing Iran and in fact they are quite the opposite. They would not want Mullahs in charge, just like they do not want Mubarak the dictator in charge.

People should read this article at American Thinker:

    http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2011/01/mubarak_resigns.html

There is a point that has been made relating to most of the Mid-East unrest and very specific in Egypt: FOOD SHORTAGES caused by Globull Warmists.

In other words the diversion of agricultural production into the making of ethanol is impacting upon food prices for the poor.

This concern over food prices is common for Egypt, Jordan and other ME areas, not sure it was the case for Tunisia.

The food shortages and rising prices could easily be seen as the trigger, but at the same time Muslim Brotherhood, through their hold on the Mullahs etc. have influence over some of those involved in the protests.

An added complication is that “nobel laureate” who is a stooge for Iran. He is definitely Muslim Brotherhood.

Obama was stramgely quiet while protesters were slaughtered in the streets of Tehran, and yet is calling for the resignsation of Egypt’s president. This is the curtain call for Obama’s worldwide”bow to muslim kings” tour.God help us, and may God defend Israel. I fear the stage for WW3 is quickly being set. Some how, while half of America was in Farmville, and the other half was on youtube, things went horribly wrong here. My son is in bootcamp at Parris Island S.C. as we speak. Pray for our military, our men in uniform.

Robin I agree, and yes I see Øbama as the one who is leading all of us into WW3. The man is extraordinarily dangerous.

You are correct that he deliberately ignored the slaughter in Iran and dares to criticize Mubarak.
