GREAT MERCIFUL ZEUS! PBS caught altering transcript to remove Obama’s “Lincoln founded the Republican Party” historical mistake
American Thinker caught PBS altering its transcript from Obama’s “Economy Saving Jobs Speech”, where PBS very clearly removed the part of Obama’s speech where he claimed Abraham Lincoln founded the Republican Party.
Lincoln actually joined the party two years after it was founded by someone else, in Wisconsin — and Obama should know this because during the 2008 presidential campaign, Obama wrapped himself in so many Lincoln analogies he practically claimed to be his reincarnation.
This transcript-altering is more of the same affirmative action pass Obama has received his entire life, where racists on the Left have run interference for Obama whenever he makes a fool of himself. When transcripts can’t be altered, they’re just hidden, so no one can ever see how poorly Obama did on something or how many mistakes he made, like when he received all Ds and Fs in his college and law school classes but was repeatedly passed anyway.
The Left has such a low opinion of black people, and thinks they aren’t capable of doing anything like speaking about historical facts correctly, that these racists at places like PBS insist on covering up Obama’s many mistakes to keep him forever their cherished, protected pet…instead of holding him to the same standard as whites who’ve held the same position Obama’s in, who are excoriated for such mistakes. I don’t think I need to ask you to imagine what PBS would have done if George W. Bush had misidentified Abraham Lincoln as founder of the Republican Party.
If PBS demanded Bush decipher ancient hieroglyphs from memory without aid of a Rosetta Stone, while simultaneously completing quadratic equations spelled out in Braille, and Bush stumbled in the attempt, the Left would deride this white president as a bumbling fool.
Because Obama’s black, however, outfits like PBS are impressed whenever our illustrious current president manages to identify the correct end of a phone to speak into (presuming he didn’t think the ringing he heard was the doorbell).
But, what else can we respect from a man who earned all Ds and Fs in school and was only promoted upwards because of the color of his skin and the exotic qualities of his name and personal narrative?
Obama’s received thunderous applause from racists in “The Tolerant Left” for just being able to show up on time and not hurt himself or set anything on fire while speaking in public about anything — the Left’s standards are so low for this man because of his skin color that there’s no way he can fail at anything in their eyes, lest their entire worldview be shattered.
Writing and academic achievement requirements were waived at Harvard to allow Obama to become president of the Law Review, because Harvard wanted the exotically-named and diverse Obama to be its “historic and unprecedented first black Law Review president”. Once he was shoehorned into a position he wasn’t ready for, Harvard covered for Obama’s incompetence by allowing him to keep the position despite failing the previous requirement of authoring articles for the journal.
The same thing happened after Law School, where Obama was awarded a hefty advance to write a book on civil rights at the University of Chicago, but never got around to actually doing it. Instead, he had Weather Underground terrorist William Ayers write a book about Obama using our illustrious current president’s scribblings, and that book was ultimately published as “Dreams of My Father”. Researchers who’ve compared the tome to Ayers’ writings through the years find too many syntax similarities for the book to have not been written by him, instead of Obama…a man who never authored a single article or published paper, but who magically “wrote” a book that also incredulously emerged in Ayers’ own signature voice.
Obama received all Ds and Fs in his coursework throughout college.
Keep repeating that, and say it as often as possible, because if people don’t believe it I’d love to see transcripts to prove otherwise. Every school Obama ever attended has locked his transcripts away, never to be seen again, for some mysterious reason. I just can’t imagine they’d have done that if Obama was a straight-A student.
I also think Obama would have published these transcripts himself, as an appendix to the book Ayers wrote for him, if his grades were even remotely decent. Hell, if he got better than Ds and Fs, he might have actually been able to write that civil rights book he was hired to pen, instead of flaking out on the whole deal (but keeping his advance, naturally).
Obama makes all sorts of very stupid mistakes that the Left works overtime to cover up and disappear down memory holes for him. What other episodes can you think of?

In one of Obama’s first speeches as President he says (on Obama Care) “We won’t take a penny (it could have been a dime) from Medicare”. In the next paragraph he says “We will pay for it (Obama Care) with the money we get from stopping the waste and fraud in Medicare” Isn’t THAT taking money from Medicare…Crickets.
In Obama’s first State of the Union address he was discussing the Constitution yet quotes from the Declaration of Independence and no one seemed to care (Maybe our little “Constitutional Scholar” doesn’t know they are different documents, written years apart?).
This summer, Obama gives a speech about evil private jet owners. Then laments about a company that this on the edge of ruin and how this is so horrible (and the fault of private jet owners). What does that company make? Wings for aircraft!!
Oh yes, it's so very, very important not to stop the waste and fraud in Medicare, because that goes to important people. As in Republicans. Like Michele Bachmann's husband. We can't stop that.
I think most people (except, perhaps, Republicans) understand that it's not the concept of private jets that is inherently bad. What's disgusting is allowing the tax code to effectively subsidize their purchase and operations while we neglect the public aviation facilities that the remaining 99.99% of the country uses.

Obama was JUST at the factory and can’t remember the place made aircraft wings for corporate jet owners!!! I bet Obama could give a speech and have no idea what he said.

I knew Lincoln was a Republican, knew he was a member, not founder, but I have to admit, I didn't pick that up…it ran under my radar. It must pain the Democrats to admit Lincoln was a Republican. It is really trashy and presumptuous of PBS to redact a speech by Obama, even if it was a mistake…they must not think he is smart enough to edit his own history re-writes. They would crucify Conservatives for lessor gaffes. To paraphrase Brian Williams question to Perry, "how do they sleep at night". The funny part is that Chris Matthew's didn't seem to know, nor Maddow, or O'Donnell….I don't expect Ed Schultz to know anything … so he is off the hook.
This is appalling. As one who previously worked with members of a press corps that covered a large county government, I've always known that reporters are intellectually lazy yet vapidly opinionated sorts, but the bunch now purportedly representing the "Fourth Estate" truly have hit an all-time low. And this was a public broadcast system creating propaganda by "doctoring" BO's speech to scrub it of his glaring error! Please, anyone reading this who's ever contributed to PBS or any other public broadcasting outlet, do not ever contribute again! Perhaps one might understand (but never condone) the corporate conglomerate-owned alphabet networks' continued propping up of BO for their own greedy motives; but PBS, which continually goes hat-in-hand to the public, whining for support funding, has absolutely no excuse for the worst kind of shoddy journalism. Every self-respecting reporter/journalist (are there any left today?) should be shouting from the rooftops to condemn what PBS did. Had this been an error by a conservative officeholder (or candidate), it would've been the headline of the PBS coverage! Are taxpayers now paying for media outlets to "clean up" BO's speeches? Doesn't he have an overabundance of overpaid staffers to do such cleanup before he goes before a joint session of Congress (which he demanded!) and embarrasses himself on a live national broadcast?!
Yet another dumbass LIE from Miss DuJan. PBS published the "prepared text" delivered to all media prior to the speech. President Obama deviated from his prepared remarks, that's all. All media got the same version that PBS got. Five seconds on the Google Machine and DuJan would have known this, but it's SO much easier to lie, innit?
This is appalling. Is there anyway we can more this act more visible??? The picture of obama talking on the wrong end of the phone should be brought up each and every time conservatives hear how smart this man is. The picture of him talking on the phone like that is worth more than a trillion words (yes, trillion). I don't ever want to hear from the likes of Clooney, Maddow, Matthews, or anyone else about how smart this guy is and how undeserving we are of him. I don't want to hear any more about how this guy is so brilliant because what comes to mind are the times when he didn't have the aid of his teleprompter and he babbled like a boob that he truly is. Believe me, if he had all of those academic achievements, you he would have had those casted in solid gold to be displayed in every city. So, I'm convinced he was a real slacker in his youth.
Evidently, during the 2008 campaign, Mike Huckabee also claimed that Lincoln was the founder of the Republican Party and he was immediately corrected by a writer for TIME magazine who chastised him soundly for playing loosely with facts and for not knowing an important piece of history!
Oh, by the way, the TIME reporter's name? Jay Carney – the current White House Press Secretary!
