Great effort is being made to defeat Sarah Palin in 2010

Posted on January 3, 2009 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

This is something we say to you as lifelong Hillary Clinton supporters: though we worked night and day for Hillary’s campaign (and some of us lost our jobs because of all the time we took off to canvass for her in other states), we’re still haunted by the feeling that we didn’t work EARLY enough for Clinton.  We wanted to actively campaign for her in Iowa back in March of 2007, but her campaign wasn’t set up for that, and higher-ups believed no one was needed on the ground until December of 2007.  Our gut was to organize anyway and let the suits catch up later, but we trusted those we thought knew better.

And look where we are today.

Well, that was a hard lesson for all of us here to learn, and it’s one we are not going to ever forget.

We believe in Sarah Palin and want to see her re-elected as Governor of Alaska in 2010.  Right now, we see the beginnings of a malicious campaign against her — propelled largely by the Obots, who now have nothing better to do with themselves. So, these trolls and gremlins are focusing all of their hate on Palin. They want her to lose the Governorship in 2010 so she’ll be unable to compete in 2012.

We don’t know what we can do to help Palin from Chicago, but sign us up now. If anyone from Team Sarah reads this, take it from a bunch of Hillary guys who know whereof we speak: you need to start helping Palin TODAY to guarantee she’ll have opportunities tomorrow. Do NOT make Team Hillary’s mistakes of waiting too long to mobilize.

Because here in Boystown, the left is busy making Palin into a cartoon boogeyman, now that Bush is leaving that role. All of that irrational hate has to go somewhere, and mixed with misogynistic and sexist tendencies strong in this group, it’s being channeled at Palin with gusto. We can barely pick up an Advocate or local gay paper here in Chicago because the attacks on Palin are so numerous and childish (including a sick new put-down here in Boystown when someone does or says something stupd: “What, are you Sarah Palin’s son Trig?”.  These pampered, spoiled, yuppy fools actually mock a Down Syndrome baby and think they are cute.  It’s just sick, sick sick…and merely the tip of the icerberg we fear).

We don’t know how to help Sarah…but we know someone needs to figure that out. Many in our ranks will help you, if we can form the beginnings of a plan.

Who’s with us?

Count me in! The hatred towards Gov. Palin is incredible. There’s a Facebook group called “Sarah Is A Frightening Prospect” that just makes me sick. Their website is http://www.frighteningprospect.com/

Don’t know what I can do for Sarah here in the midst of Obama Country (San Francisco) but I’ll do what I can.

I am willing to help Palin. I live in both Texas and Colorado and came back to Colorado to help with the turnout on 11/4. I believe it was Palin’s last stop in Colorado Springs and I was on of thousands that went to support her. She is truly amazing and beautiful. I am ready, willing, and able to help her win in 2010.

I think you guys are spot on. The left is painting a big target on Sarah and plan to attack her the same way they did W – by turning her into a joke. They’ve already been pretty effective, but loyal fans that stick by her and stick up for her at every turn can make the difference. The more frequently she can appear in person around the country to speak to “ordinary folks” the stronger her base becomes. Behind the scenes we all need to put together fund-raising plans that can be rolled-out as soon as she can start an exploratory committee. She doesn’t have the deep pockets that most presidential candidates can draw from, so we have to be ready, willing, and able to step up to the plate.

    BTW – MTdob4Hill – are you in/from Montana?

As much positive press as possible about Sarah Palon…everywhere….the 2009 calandars are sold out on Amazon, that is a good place to start. The comments are mostly positive to read. The people really like the family.

Work on ways to downplay the Anchorage Press articles…it is a very Democratic paper, heavily skewed against the governor I think. I have been reading it for awhile…there needs to be more negative exposure to her nemisis up there, a guy by the name of Fagin, who sounds like a cruel person to me. I was a lifelong moderate Democrat, Hillary supporter, who could not handle Obama and went Independent. I still have Democrat overtones, but believe Sarah Palin is a decent person capable of running the great state of Alaska! I have been there three times and I think a basic problem is that people in the lower 48 simply do not comprehend the place. HillBuzz could do a big favor educating everyone about the complexity of Alaska, especially around energy and environmental issues. In order for a person to “govern” Alaska, you need to be all 50 governors at once, due to its size, issues, ethnicities, etc. If people REALLY understood what it took to govern Alaska, I think there would be more understanding of the woman and her capabilities. Today January 3rd, is the 50th anniversary of Alaska becoming a state, same as Hawaii will be on August 21, 2009…it would be great to contrast the two highlighting Alaska throughout this year on HillBuzz.

I am in agreement that it is time to think about working together on her 2010 re-election for Governorship. I do not know if she will every run or make it for President or Vice President, but she makes a good governor for the state…one step at a time right now. I do believe she has been working a little with a speech coach as I’ve listen to hear speak recently and there is less dropping of “g”s at the end of verbs and also better sentence structure.

Go Guys…you have the audience to keep Alaska and Sarah in the forefront of many people’s minds!

Can’t say I am surprised, Obots really have boring lives. The people in Alaska adore her, she will be re-elected Governor, they can’t stop that from happening unless they all move to Alaska and somehow affect the voting. Obots should be sitting at home waiting for their welfare checks to arrive, they believe in their messiah but he will be a false prophet. I am not surprised at Chicago saying such horrible things about Trig Palin, Obama supporters have ZERO morals, they after all, listened to the media like sheep, did their bidding and now we must all pay the price

You are correct in your assessment. The media folks see the numbers Palin gets (largest viewership in 10 years for SNL) and how many people turn out for any event she attends (Chambliss) and the long knives are out. The media want her so they’ll get ratings or sell papers, but can’t resist tossing in the ridicule to impress their “base”.

Luckily it will be Alaskans only voting in 2010 Governors race. Alaskans will not stand for the odious Trig “jokes” and outside of Anchorage they don’t much care what the lower 48 thinks. Alaskans don’t like to be told what to do! Check out the online editions of Alaskan newspapers especially the small towns.

I imagine the opposition candidate will get vast $$$$$ from Move on, etc. The entrenched oil companies might also oppose her because she wrecked their backroom deals and opened up the new gas pipeline to outside bidders.

Hillbuzz, hope you do get the chance for a visit to Alaska – you’d love it. Best time is around the summer solstice because of the long days. Not sure when the “first dude” hosts the annual tea, but the fishing is always good and the people are great. I was lucky enough to live in AK for a few years and treasure that experience.

No doubt our politics have been exposed. I have never seen a more nasty time in my life. Even though most of this has gone on for years…the obama clan is arrogant ..and flaunts all their ugly dirt as though they are entitled. To me..our new government is more corrupt..cares nothing about the people ..and will get not an ounce of respect from me. We love Sarah Palin…but it will be very hard for anyone to win an election against THE ONE. The group we now have in Washington will be capable of doing and having removed anyone and anything they want to do. They have already proven many things. If an attitude like that doesn’t piss off Chavez and Putin…I don’t know what will.

First off, you guys are awesome.

What can be done remotely for Sarah for her 2010 Alaska run? I’m not sure. Though what effect can a local Chicago gay newspaper have on Alaska voters, too?

I think the bigger issue is, how to fight the smears nationwide in case she wants to run for national office. Obama won because of a press-pushed coherent narrative; we need to push nationwide an alternative narrative to the destructive one they built up and pushed for Sarah. Maybe you can be resource central for the debunking, building an authoritative list of references and the tight, effective narrative to be used on the twits who think “Sarah is dumb” is the highest comedy, and think no further.

I don’t comment often, but I have been a longtime daily reader and fan of Hillbuzz. For those of you who want to know what we can do to help her long distance, there are two concrete ways that come to mind immediately. If she has a re-election fund, we can flood her campaign coffers and make sure she is flush with cash to combat the Obots. And if you have a cell phone, you can phone bank and participate in GOTV efforts from anywhere. You can also join TeamSarah, even though you may not want to participate in the forums. As a Democrat/Hillary fan, you may be offended by some of the comments from time to time. But do check out the groups, and join and participate in the ones that appeal to you. There are several that are specifically for Hillary supporters, and our numbers are growing quickly. The URL, if you’re interested, is http://www.teamsarah.org

I think if Gov. Palin would begin to work for the benefit of the developmentally disabled, especially Down syndrome adults who’ll be effed if their caretaker dies before them, she’d have hordes of supporters, even if the irrationally uberliberal branch of them were secretive about it. But what other suggestion can one expect from a person who is the sole (and older)caretaker of her adult brother with Down syndrome.

If SP is serious about running 4 Prez, she needs to do the following:

    1. Visit, visit, visit. From every nationality to every religion.

    2. Get the moola flowing. And, lots and lots of it. A billion dollars would not be unreasonable.

    3. Get a fact checker website started on her.

    4. Get grass roots organizers involved going door-to-door multiple times to encourage early write-in voting. And, on the day of elex – door-to-door getting peeps to vote.

    5. Pay the media dudes to say nice things often.

    6. Have “soft” campaign ads out. Promoting her the current event she is involved in. It is imperative that she is seen as knowledgeable, well-rounded.

    5. Get the law changed nationally that requires that if you vote you MUST present a picture ID along with your voter registration card.

These are just a few things but in order to win, it is a battle while always wearing a smile.

You are right about the attempts to sabotage Palin. I read this article on the trooper who was part of the Drug investigation of Levi’s Mom, and found the comments about Palin to be more vile and sickening than some would make about a mass murderer or child molester. She has really hit a nerve . Her haters almost seem demonic. I can’t understand who is behind it but is is really scary.

She isn’t particularly vile. But she is particularly stupid. Her interviews with the press were absolutely appalling. And not being able to name a single magazine she reads was pathetic. You’re absolutely wrong to say she’s hated because she isn’t. It isn’t hate to make an accurate observation that she’s dumb, based on her own dumb performance. But not to worry – she’ll always have the votes of the stupid and ignorant.

It’s really time for you to put up or shut up. There is a much more colorful way to put that, involving pots and excrement, that we’re sure you are quite familiar with. You have a great many opinions — and all of them as strongly entrenched as they are negative. For some reason, you haunt this site. Our challenge to you is: if you have so many opinions, why not start your own site and express them fully? We would be happy to direct like-minded people to you.

Try running your own site for one week and generating your own content. Maybe then you would appreciate how people feel about someone like you, who only appears to criticize, attack, and spread your own particular brand of negativity everywhere.

Stupid people do not go from the PTA to Governor of one the United states of America. I work in editing mam, let me tell you how chopped up the interviews from Gibson and Couric really were. Magazines? If you had actually seen any other interview besides what was replayed on the news, then boiled down so that you understood the narrative they want you to understand. Did I lose you? Had you watched other interviews, you would know she did not answer the magazine question because she of offended by it, as was I. Sharon, you are doing a piss-poor job of regurgitating obot talking points to people that know better, and have done their own research. I’m reiterating what others have said regarding joining teamsarah.org and participating in the groups that are actively doing some of the things that #27 outlines for SP.

For example, http://www.teamsarah.org/group/saving4sarah in which individuals save a couple bucks a week for the next 3 years. Members of this group are also contacting people in all 50 states to start their own savings for Sarah.

You may think this is a bit of a nonprofessional activity, but what I like about it is that 1. we are mobilizing the grassroots, which BTW, is what propelled SP to the governorship against her own party who did not support her even after she won the nomination. It looks like she’ll have to do this again without the support of the RNC.

And 2. we are collecting the savings in our own homes and holding it in reserve to give to legitimate Sarah PACs when and if, they materialize. She does not yet have an official one. And I am NOT giving it to the RNC with their stupid clothes expenditures, etc. I mean, really, she was not exactly considered a frump in Alaska, and was, in fact, called the hottest governor, years before she was the VP candidate!! So why the silly RNC thought she needed a MAKEOVER is beyond me …

In addition, this site http://www.2012draftsarahcommittee.com/ has state coordinators in 17 states and is collecting funds to support Sarah at CPAC. TeamSarah, BTW, will also be at CPAC in support of SP.

I also think it would help to go to http://www.adn.com on a daily basis, read the SP articles and leave factual, supportive comments – because the rabidity of the negative, slanderous comments is appalling.

But then again ADN is reducing its paper publication to 2 sections 4 days a week … so maybe they’ll go under altogether in 2009??

Oh my!!! Here I was, mistakenly thinking that internet websites were open to anyone with internet access, and now you go and try to throw up the equivalent of a water fountain marked “For Hateful Only.” What’s wrong HillBuzzards? Are you that resentful of anyone who challenges your make pretend world?

In case you haven’t been keeping up with the news. We won! No one gives a hoot about Palin. She can run for emperor of Alaska, and no one would give a damn.

      Sharon -

As usual, you don’t bother to read anything that’s said to you…you just spout your talking points.

We could very easily silence you by deleting your posts, but don’t. Maybe we should, as some here would like, but allow you to continue because in our view you only make yourself look bad.

Our challenge to you remains: if you are so smart, so passionate about what you say, and so committed to the negative things you believe in, why not create your own site and express yourself on a larger level? You believe you are superior to everything and everyone here, so why not get off your butt and show us what you’ve really got. WordPress is free. Start your own site, and we will happily drive traffic to you from other people who think like you.

That’s a challenge that goes out to all the other trolls too…why spend your time haunting other sites making your nasty little remarks when you can easily build and maintain sites of your own where you can show all of us how it’s really done?

You are being called out to put up or shut up. It’s a new year, why not a new way of conducting yourself?

There are definitely some forces lining up against Palin right now, both Dems and Reps. You have to remember that the Rep power structure up there hates her, and they’re working just as hard as the Dems to bring her down. Someone mentioned Fagan above. For those who may not know: He’s a Rep radio host who hates her and criticizes her every time she moves. He’s definitely not the only one either. She’s going to have a tough two years, and she’s going to have to watch her step and watch her back at every turn. I’m hoping for the best, but I’m afraid that she might not survive it.

Hillbuzzard, you respond to my posts as a vampire responds to a cross, or to the light of day. I’ll respond to hate in the way that I chose, and the way that I chose is my business and my business only. But this I want to know: what is about opposing viewpoints that puts you people into such a tizzy? Why are you people stuck on hate? Long after Obama has been elected president, you’re still stamping your feet, having temper tantrums and making pretend people are threatened by Palin.
    Unbelievable.
Take my suggestion and examine whether all your hate and negativity stem from self loathing.
Another thing – you can delete my posts, but you can’t delete reality.

Once again Sharon, if you have so many opinions and so much passion, accept our challenge and start your own blog for one week and show the world what you are made of.

      Why can’t you do that?

It is clearly easy for you to sling your talking points around on other sites — so why not put your talents to use expressing yourself in a much more positive way with a site of your own. All Sharon, all the time. You can call people vampires all you want, and talk about whatever it is you want. Praise Obama all night and day and post your favorite recipes. Something. Anything.

Because the reality, Sharon, is that if you really believed your own talking points, you would indeed make the effort to share them on a site of your own, instead of haunting others from your cave in New Jersey.

    Sharon,
You said “Why are you people stuck on hate?” Got an example? I could write a book from the examples I have of hatred displayed by the mighty legion of obot.
Sweetheart, you are the only one here having a temper tantrum. You have this nasty little habit of calling people names that describe your own actions. i.e. “negativity stem from self loathing”
Oh, that whole vampire cross analogy… yeah, you might want to get that looked at.

Sharon, if “no one gives a hoot about Palin” why did you first comment on this posting only to rip on her? It seems like indeed you do give a hoot. Otherwise, there would be no reason to post.

    Sharon,

According to you, Governor Palin is dumb because she performed poorly in her TV interviews.

The Couric interview admittedly did go poorly and Governor Palin has even admitted it went poorly. The truth is, the McCain campaign badly prepared her for the Couric interview and she even confessed that she shouldn’t have allowed Couric’s condescending questions get under her skin. The Gibson interview did Not in fact go poorly, because when you read the transcripts of the Entire interview, you will find that there were very good portions that were left on the cutting room floor and were never shown.

And in fact, lets look at the VP debate, the most important interview of all. She knocked that one out of the park. Funny how people who are opposed to Sarah never want to mention the VP debate because the truth is Governor Palin absolutely clobbered the 35-year veteran senator. The VP debate was the most important test and measure of her political acumen, not some single insignificant interview by an obvious biased journalist such as Couric. One poor TV interview does not make someone dumb. Her other previous and subsequent interviews (many of which) have all gone very well.

If that’s not proof enough of her intelligence then lets look at just a few of Governor Palin’s many accomplishments within her own biography.

She served two terms as a City Council member from 1992–1996. Served two terms as mayor from 1996–2002 after which she was term limited out. She chaired the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (AOGCC) from 2003-2004 serving as ethics supervisor. The AOGCC is an important job and is the regulatory body that oversees oil and natural gas production, leases and environmental concerns and where 7 out of every 10 jobs in Alaska are connected.

Governor Palin is currently the chairman of the National Governors Association energy committee.

As governor she is leading her state and the country to energy independence by negotiating and passing the Alaskan Gasline Inducement Act (AGIA), something that previous Alaskan administrations were unable to accomplish.

On December 5, 2008, Governor Palin joined by other state commissioners signed the historic AGIA License. The AGIA License was awarded jointly to Trans Canada and Foothills Pipe Lines to build the historic 1,715mile natural gas pipeline running from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska down to the Alberta Hub in Canada. It will be the largest construction project in history and when completed, it will supply 4.5 billion cubic feet a day of clean natural gas to the lower 48 benefiting thousands of Americans. http://www.gov.state.ak.us/news.php?id=1570 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSY0X-1_5ME&eurl=http://www.teamsarah.org/video/governor-palin-natural-gas

Governor Palin is the Commander-In-Chief of the Alaska National Guard and the Alaskan Guard is the only state guard that is on permanent deployment.

Because of Alaska’s unique location, Alaska is the first line of defense to us all in the lower 48 should Russia, North Korea or China ever become aggressive. As such, Governor Palin receives regular security briefings from Homeland Security and other intelligence services while she carries a high national security clearance.

Last but not least, the governor and her husband currently own and operate a small commercial fishing business. When the demands of her busy governors schedule will allow, she doesn’t mind working hard by pulling nets while getting her hands dirty picking fish as evidenced by the following link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yh76sucoNzA
She is well grounded in the knowledge of what it takes to own and operate a small family business, the very backbone of our nations economy.

Simply put, Governor Palin accomplishments are unprecedented. But more importantly Governor Palin’s character is impeccable…a rare trait in today’s political world.
And whether serving as governor of her state negotiating multi billion dollar pipelines for our countries energy future or by pulling nets and picking fish from the cold Alaskan waters along side her husband, she has demonstrated that she is no stranger when it comes to hard work. No matter what the task is at hand, Governor Palin has always proudly served her family, her state and her country…and she has always served with a servant’s heart.

Jim, i just don’t have a lot of time to respond to your message, because I’m just too busy getting ready to attend what will be the grandest, most celebrated inauguration in American history. We’re really happy, and celebrating this wonderful time in our history. Palin is a non issue. Best of luck in your efforts.

      Sharon,

When will your website come online? The one where you are going to express all of your opinions, because you are so much better and smarter than everyone, so you can share your powerful insight with the world?

      We are all waiting. Breathlessly.

It really looks like Sarah Palin will be the first woman ever nominated for US president. She is way ahead from Jindal, Romney , Huckabee, Keyes or Gulliani in the republican support. If she makles that historic achievement, Obama can have his days counted.
