Gold Action Item: Think of ways to consistently ask Americans if they received the hopeychange Obama promised them in 2008

Posted on April 23, 2011 by Kevin DuJan // 2008 Presidential Campaign, 2012 Elections, 2012 Presidential Campaign, Action Items, Cocktail Party GOP, Conservativism, Consistent Mistakes, Debate Prep, General Stupidity, Gold Team - Creativity, President Barack Obama, Resources - Conservativism, Retail Campaigning, Sarah Palin, The American Reistance, The Left

http://m.cnbc.com/id/42704213

I have been told the Cocktail Party GOP establishment does not want Americans asked on a regular basis if they got the hopeychange Obama promised them in the 2008 election.

Say it with me: the Cocktail Party GOP establishment is stupid, and far too dependent on consultants who eat their crayons.

The thinking (if you stretch the word enough to cover this folly) is that “Republicans need to save this attack for 2012″.

Right.

The same way the Party of Stupid is forever saving this, reserving that, and generally abstaining from winning strategies…for one inane reason or another.

The article at the top of this post predicts $6 gas this summer…with a massive surge in food prices.  States are so broke, many cannot even afford to keep funding their food stamp programs.  That means disaster, not hopeychange, is barrelling down on millions of Americans…many of whom were stupidly Obama voters in 2008.

On a daily basis, people who voted for Obama three years ago need to be asked if they received the hopeychange they were promised and if they are in better shape than they were back when they drank all that Kool-Aid.

I do not see any way that people who did NOT vote for Obama in 2008 will be so charmed by his job performance that they support his re-election.

I have never heard a McCain/Palin voter wish they could time travel and pull the lever for Obama instead…not even for the free ride in an operational, flux-capacitored DeLorean.

That leaves our focus on asking the non-crazy, but misguided 2008 Obama voters if all the hopeychange hype and Media zeal was worth it in THEIR DAILY LIVES.

Make people realize what a bad hiring decision they made in wanting to take a chance on an untested, mysterious, exotic who never delivered on the soaring promises of his job interview.

Give people a BUSINESS and not emotional decision to make…and watch them vote in their economic best interests to evict the Obamas from Washington.

Remember: the GOP Cocktail Party establishment will fumble this, because part of me thinks the consulting firms these fools rely so heavily on WANT to lose important elections.

We have a year and change to prevent this.

And it starts by asking every last Obama voter in the country if they got the hopeychange they were promised.

Does anyone out there REALLY know a soul who is better off today than he or she was before The Golden Age of Hope and Change began?

GOP is delusional Kevin. Tea Party all the way, Boner has no beans and McConnell is a waste of time but they are all a part of the "system".
Did you see Allen West on Greta last night? Maybe it was the night before… sorry… I am tired… anyway he is the butt kicker of all butt kickers! Man, I love this dude!

In DC we already have the $5 gallon gas…but the problem is that the Party of Stupid does not even know HOW to make this an issue!!!… Case in point, during the 2008 campaign, Senator McLame got the endorsement of the hottest Puertorican reggeton artist/mogul Daddy Yankee (BTW, PRican as Ricky Martin–from the island and not a fake Newyorican a la JLO–3rd generation from NY)…for those who do not know Daddy Yankee's his recognition and influence dwarfs JayZ so again McLame – Duh!

This guy had a HUGE hit called GASOLINA… everybody in the Hispanic community (from kids to professionals as in PhDs at NIH!… and anyone who liked Latin music knew the "dame mas gasolina" (give me more gas) lyrics…We thought, finally McLame is going to complain about gas prices…he has the PERFECT theme song that already resided in the collective unconscious of an ENTIRE voting block!!!….but NOOOO….what a way to WASTE and endorsement…he never took the issue on…. I believe back then Cocktail Party did not think gas prices were an "legitimate" issue….

Do you truly believe they are going to do anything now?…

Thank God for Sarah and her "Drill Baby Drill"…. the lonely voice of the GOP in this issue!

so now we are telling Sarah to talk with Daddy Yankee, apologize to him for neocoM McLame wasting his huge endorsement, and ask for his permission to use his Gasolina worldwide hit in her domestic energy independence campaign in our urban areas
We envision a mash-up with Sarah doing Drill Baby Drill (and drill here drill now) with Daddy Yankee's GASOLINA – instant hit

Kevin… to answer your questions…Dems “hope” the “change” will come…but you know, they still believe it’s Bush’s fault and his Big Oil friends…What can poor Obama do?…

I always end the conversation with…you “ijit” …. you should have voted for Hillary!

"Say it with me: the Cocktail Party GOP establishment is stupid, and far too dependent on consultants who eat their crayons . . . Nailed it, Kevin. I was listening to Andrew Breitbart on S.E. Cupp's Internet show from Wednesday. The following is borrowed *heavily* from what he had to say and dovetails perfectly with your assessment.

AB tells us that the task is to take on the Institutional Left. We are the New Guard for conservatism. He exhorts one to get involved in Hollywood, the art world and media. The problem with the Right isn't just in DC, it's in H-wood and NY. He says pop culture is upstream from politics and by the time the Cocktail Party gets their mitts on the narrative, it has long been set by H-wood, the media, and academia. As a result our youth are by default cultural liberals, some of whom — like yourself — "trip" upon conservatism. Media is EVERYTHING, and Rs who mistakenly think they are going to win by using DC polling firms and direct mailings are bringing their best horse, buggy and whip to a drag race.

Our mission is to expose the shallow Left and how they use Alinsky tactics to marginalize their opposition. Our champions need to be authentic people who are willing to fight the fight. That's why Palin, Bachmann, West and Cain worry the Left so much and why they are loved by true Conservatives. Now, most of us will not be influencing H-wood and the media directly. We can and should be calling them on their faulty reasoning and bigoted rhetoric every chance we get with anyone who will listen. Remind others that instead of Hope and Change with the Golden Goose Egg we are now hoping for change in our derelict's change cup, right next to our sign reading, "I'll be honest . . . I need a beer," a la John Stossel.

Obama is our Carter exponentially magnified, and we need to prepare the ground for our generation's Reagan to come and ask, "Are you better off than you were 4 years ago?"

    “Are you better off now

than you were four years ago?”

Remember when you did not have to float a loan to fill your gas tank- or pay for heating oil? Or buy groceries?

Where I am, the “real” percentage of people without jobs is 1 in 5, or 20%… among black youths? More like 50%

The prices of everything is going up, and you are getting less of whatever you are buying.

And The Stupid Party won’t call Duh!1 out on his malicious mismanagement because they are scared of being called

    RAAACIST!

( which they already are called, maroons… )

    I denounce mahsef’!

Our President is in Chicago to tape Oprah, again. A few more campaign speeches, then heading back to Washington, to scold Paul Ryan some more. Oh, and golf. Golf, golf, golf. We need to keep reminding people how little this man actually works. I don't actually mind that, because when he does, it's a disaster, but it could resonate with some.
Kevin, the little photo you're using now is really handsome.

via facebook, i tried asking people WHY they thought the president was doing a good job. i asked as non-judgmentally as possible, assuring any possible responder that this wasn't meant to instigate debate, just to educate myself.

not a single reply, from a pool of people in which at least half are (or maybe WERE) huge supporters of teh won. some of the people on my friends list are(or maybe WERE *grins*) die-hard supporters, so i expected SOME kind of response.

but nope. zilch. nada. it's the first time that i had first hand experience in witnessing the wearing off of the kool aid. silence never sounded sweeter.

I try so hard not to sound "told ya so" when I ask that question. I found that did not work well with my colleagues, friends, and family. Instead, I now declare in any group I'm in how "disappointed" I am with Dr. Utopia and how it surprised me that he is so inept…so deaf to the voters' pain…and so stubborn. Then I sit back and listen to the group, which I usually know contains one or more Utopia voter. It never fails to excite me that that voter and a few more are animated about their "disappointment", "surprise" at his behavior and the worsening condition of the country not to mention that voter's personal financial situation.

My 80 year old neighbor has been asking people since last summer if they voted for him. She hasn't found ONE voter that did, or is willing to admit he/she did. She's active in the Church, a volunteer at several nursing homes, and is out and about all day long. I find that a harbinger of doom ala Jimmy Carter for Utopia. That along with his snippy, snotty, anger bursts that make him look more like a smoldering threat of bombastic boobery than an elite genteel educated "moderate" who is just too cool for school…

Ask the people of Cleveland and Baltimore how the hopey/changey is working out
We think the scary and disturbing videos of violent youth (both appear to be hate crimes to boot) this week at McDonald's in Cleveland and Baltimore is the only picture we need to know how things have gotten worse …we are also wondering how these violent youth are getting gas money now at $5.00 and not to mention at $8-10 a gallon – the price Obama eventually wants

all of this while Obama is on non-stop campaign mode – and our Cocktail Party is….well – making things very very easy and likely for an otherwise completely improbable second Obama term (of course our only hope is Sarah and Allen) we need to shed both Obama and the K Street Cocktail Party at the same time!

My Mamas for Obama, cousin is coming for Easter. I thought for sure by now she had changed her opinion of the President, given the mere fact that her husband is an executive with Citibank and she benefits greatly from a more conservative government, but NO!!!! Today on her Facebook, she decided to "like" Obama. I'm absolutley sure this is to engage me in some sort of political discussion over Easter dinner. She has to have noticed my likes on my own page,Sarah Palin,Fox News,etc.. and decided to incite me. For the sake of family peace,I'm not going to engage her because when she gets a few drinks, she is vicious and hateful and there can be no logical discussion, but I sure would like to know what she likes about him.

      2011/04/23 at 1:21 pm

Oh my goodness rinkwife, I've been there with some relatives. I am barely speaking to a neice who I overheard calling me a loon because I mentioned at dinner that I respect and appreciate Sarah Palin. I gave her "the look" and she withered. Now she's uncomfortable around me, rightfully so. You are right not to engage with someone who uses alcohol as a weapon to enhance her "argument". Vicious and hateful trumps logic every time. However, if this person acts out when others in the family are coming to distrust, dislike, and disengage from Obama, you will not have to be the only one who is taking an affront to that. Other family members might actually stand up to her and you might get your answer as to what she likes about him.

Had dinner with liberal relatives last week. I was pleasantly surprised to hear them praise Sarah Palin for being "very street smart" and admired her and her ability to become "rich" by hard work and talent. They respected her intelligence to write, lecture and earn money. I no longer hear liberals in my circle of friends/relatives gaffawing at how dumb Palin is. The ols shis is so dumb she said "I can see Russia from my house*" insults have evaporated and been replaced by admiration by many lefties.

        * I think people have finially realized that is was a SNL Fey spoof.

Unfortunatley I'm outnumbered. Yesterday I was showing my Aunt and Uncle pictures of me in front of Fox News in NYC,and they were disgusted.Asking me why I would want to visit Fox News. We agreed to disagree on our very divided opinions on Fox,and promised religion and politics were not subjects to get into on Easter. Even they advised not to engage Obama Mama cousin ,as they have seen how brutal she can be under the influence.(she is actually a sweetie, but in my opinion totally a wingnut when it comes to politics).
BTW, While I was standing there Shep Smith walked out. I would have asked for his picture, but he was on his cell, and I didn't want to be rude. It made my day. My friends call me a celebrity wh**e,as I love nothing more than to run into a celebrity!

        • JerseyGram says:
          2011/04/23 at 3:13 pm

Fun to see celebrities isn't it? I happened to be in Florida during the "recount from hell" when I saw Shep saving a parking space for his crew at one of the courthouses. One of the "lady" newsreaders at CNN argued with him that he couldn't do that and almost ran him down with her car trying to move him and intimidate him but he literally stood his ground and I thought he was going to punch her lights out! It was hilarious. I didn't have FOX News at the time so I wasn't sure who he was but someone told me. I called our cable company and demanded that they provide FOX and within a week or two they did. I guess lots of others were calling also. I had no idea that there was another point of view being broadcasted. I was surprised and happy to have more than one thought process to chew on.
