Thank you for posting this. I have been so heartsick today. This is encouraging and gives me hope.
I’ve just been so sorrowful all day, I’m tired of being sad all the time. It’s like we are constantly in battle (especially Kevin, oh my gosh) against so many different forces, it’s overwhelming. Our side really needs a break.
Lord please have mercy on us!
I feel the same, last 4 years of hell for my family, my husband being in the construction industry..
Tired of being tired.. Have a permanent frown on my face(scary).. TIRED OF IT,
Tire of the lies…
I too was heart sick starting about 8 pm (CST) Tuesday when I realized it was all over for Mitt. But, by midnight, after a few phone calls with various friends, the new reality began to sink in. By mid-afternoon today, after many more phone calls and discussions, the future started to become clear. While Wild Bill says “damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead,” my take is a bit different. It’s more akin to the old adage, when your opponent is destroying themselves, stand aside and let them finish the job.
Really people, take heart. Consider where we are right now: Benghazi is just the starting point for how badly Obama’s foreign policy is gong to spin out of control. Syria will be Libya writ large. Imagine the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda in control of the Middle East’s third largest military (after Israel and Iran). A friend of mine crystalized this for me so succinctly this morning. He said, wouldn’t it be ironic if a good bit of the mainstream media and the democrat machine in Washington are killed by a dirty nuclear bomb detonated in New York and/or Washington? It’s a terrible thought, but so plausible, it stopped me cold. I am of course not rooting for this nor should you, but have these (liberal) people ever stopped to think about the risk to their own lives that “leading from behind” and projecting weakness may pose?
On the domestic side, the supposed “recovery” has been slowing down all year and with Europe also decelerating, by this time next year, a US recession could well be underway. The O team can game the numbers for awhile, but sooner or later, too many things they can’t control will paint the real picture. Corporate earnings this 4th quarter are already off and flashing warning signals. The housing “recovery” really isn’t one and sooner or later, the Fed will lose control of interest rates and as they (rates) creep up with the inevitable increase in the US rate of inflation, the housing market will start dying again.
Another thing: The stock market has been enjoying a “sugar high” thanks to Ben Bernanke’s easy money policies. Banks get cheap capital from the Fed and since there is no yield anywhere in fixed income, everybody’s camping that money out at the equity casino hoping they won’t be the last person to sit down when the music stops. But, sooner or later, immutable economic laws will kick in, the sugar high will wear off, and equity markets will crash. Then not only your house will be worth half of what it was, your 401K will be more like a 201k!
Look out two to three years. Housing has declined another 25% or more, inflation’s running 10% per year, the Dow’s at 6,000. Another Benghazi debacle or two has happened–or God forbid a large-scale terrorist attack has taken place in the US, unemployment has ticked back up above 10%, and then image a US Treasury bond sale fails, or the US dollar is replaced as the world’s reserve currency by the Russian ruble or the Chinese yuan. The US is experiencing frequent brown-outs or blackouts because 200 or more coal-fired electrical generating plants have closed up shop–victims of over-regulation by EPA.
In short–the US is a wreck. Can it happen any other way?
Stop worrying about getting our country back. It’s going to be a painful train wreck, but these children have no concept how do make the trains run on time. They will CONTINUE to fail miserably and way more than half of America will see the light and throw the bums out in 2016.
Be patient and focus on how to protect yourself and your assets. Sit back and enjoy the spectacle as the “progressives” consign themselves to the political wilderness and their screwball ideas to the dung heap of failed socialist schemes.
I agree. Let the whacked out “lefties” own their mess.
After 4 more years of Obam’s thug regime, half of the catholics,
31% of jews, evangelical christians who stayed home because they didn’t like Romney’s mormon religion, suburban women and others who voted for free contraception and free abortion, hispanics, illegal and otherwise -
(never the blacks – they will be delusional for decades more
I am afraid, however, some of them will bleed away from
the lefties) and other Obama supporters will finally come to
their senses and realize that the “George Bush did it” is
not going to fly, along with “republicans are racist”. I can’t wait
to see who they blame the next time. When it all falls down around
them they will come running and crying.
I am going to not worry about it, however, will cut no Obama supporter or non voter in 2012 any slack. I will not be polite and NOT say
“I told you so!”. In fact, I will shout it in their face. Can you tell
how disgusted I am?
We should all live our lives to the fullest; prepare for the mess,
by stockpiling food/water/other supplies. I also recommend
purchasing a gun and learning how to use it. If you live in any
urban areas like Philadelphia or Chicago, try and move to the
suburbs. You don’t want to be in close proximity because the urban riots will happen first. Perhaps this is what Obama and his socialist group want; it could be their end result. Then they can
sweep in and assume their dictatorship. Sounds farfetched?
I am not sure.
When the 47% realize the government is not going to be able
to sustain their free lifestyle, nor give them a free car and the $8.00/gal.
gas, insurance, repairs, etc. that go with it, as that is the only thing I can think of that the goverment doesn’t presently give them for free, they will come after us.
I realize I am over dramatizing, however, I have friends who have been saying the same thing since 2008. I am starting to believe them.
” I can’t wait to see who they blame the next time. When it all falls down around them they will come running and crying.”
They’ll blame you, you should get a second job to help support them. They won’t come crying, they’ll come shooting, looting, and throwing molotov cocktails, like they are in Greece right now.
Exit polls in Ohio, most still blame Bush for economy, they will still hammer that away..
This election was stolen the Chicago way. Until the GOP protects swing states from theft – we lose. They kept Dem cities polls open and they reported last. FL panhandle in Central zone reported before the Dem cities in eastern zone. They waited in all the key states to see how many votes they needed and created them. It happened in FL, VA and all the swing states.
The media helped them too. Calling states early. States wildly going back and forth when created voted popped up. I stopped watching TV a long time ago but Fox was helping them and all the nwtworks helped the one. We are not the minority and Romney did not lose. The GOP does not know how to stop the other side from stealing elections.
Exactly. that is our biggest problem. trusting that the other side adheres to the same rules we do. They don’t. so now we stand back and let them destroy themselves. we must be prepared to ride out the collapse. it’s the only way to get the country back.
Jakey, right on, You hit the nail on the head.
You are so right. I’ve never watched an election, in retrospect, that appeared as rigged as this one. A huge priority for our Republican congressmen is to press for a non-partisan Electoral Commission like in Australia. Aussie, a commenter on this site, discussed it and I can’t imagine why we haven’t done it before. I guess we never used to be a 3rd world country till 2008.
By the look on the peoples faces and lack of cheer I have seen on everyone, I’d say we are not the minority. Not one person I have witnessed is grinning from ear to ear, in fact I would say, just out and about today, they all looked stunned and a little depressed.
Wisconsin still has me real puzzled. I had seen Romney up to 52 percent and Obama was at somewhere in the mid 40 percent and still they called the state for him.
I am so with you on this.
My son came home from school yesterday with complete despair on his face. After having an afternoon to reflect on this myself, I sat him down and explained to him that we are definitely in some historic times. I told him not to look at this as the end, but as a new beginning of freedom.
I apologized for what people of my generation have left for him, for that I am truly sorry! But sitting around and blaming ourselves and what we have become does non of us any good. I explained to him that we are given an opportunity that I have felt mainly in the last four years, that the people have not suffered enough. The country has been pacified for too long.
I know it is not what any of us wanted this to come to, but I believe it is what is necessary for us to survive. I say be prepared. Read, educate your people who are willing to listen. I believe when people start to really feel the effects of socialism, they will be more willing to learn. A society cannot go on being dump forever.
Yes it may feel like rock bottom but IMHO, it hasn’t happened yet. One only has to look at what is happening on the east coast to see how inept government is.
After a day of mourning and reflection, it is time to move ahead. The journey will be long and hard, but I believe we will come out of this better then before.
“It’s more akin to the old adage, when your opponent is destroying themselves, stand aside and let them finish the job.” Excellent way to express my very thoughts, HBFan.
Everything you said above is true & I hate to admit it, but I too am thinking, “Let their mess blow up in their faces”. Hope for the best & be sure to prepare for the worst.
The time is upon us that we need to be preparing in earnest. Stay alert, be prepared, be in prayer. For it is strength that we need & divine protection & guidance from the LORD to make it through to the other side.
One thing that I feel is becoming necessary is to become less dependent upon the system while using their infrastructure as long as possible to become more independent to hone my skill sets.
Move away from urban centers if at all possible or make arrangements so you can get out when the SHTF because it can do nothing else. Network with others of like mind & plan how to ride through the storm that will surely come.
I am by no means being/feeling negative, just pragmatic by looking at the situation realistically. I actually feel a weird sense of relief for the first time in 4+ years. I know what’s coming & I am preparing. Anger now is only a waste of my energy & counterproductive.
We need to be there to pick up the pieces if there are pieces there to pick up.
Onward & upward.
I came across this comment that is right on – Democrats use “vote Harvesting”
“Before Republicans decide they have to scrap their conservative agenda to win an election, as too many pundits too instantly recommend, they would do well to tighten voting procedures everywhere.
The money shot is this: WITH EARLY VOTING, IT TAKES FEWER PEOPLE TO GET MORE VOTERS TO THE POLL. One person with a van can haul more in in 4 weeks, than one person with a van in one day.
I knew there was a reason I didn’t like all this early voting, but couldn’t put my finger on it. Jack Cashill has. We need to work to limit or reduce early voting, period.”

Thank you so much for posting this. I’m ready for the fight! God bless America!
There. THERE!!
THAT is what I’ve been waiting for! I went to another website that had a spouting off by Mark Levine that all the posters said was uplifting and great and I listened and it was just more anger directed at those of us who did and are doing our best.
THIS WAS BETTER. Favorite line: “We just went into overtime.”
I’m going to grasp that lifeline. The game is NOT over, the stakes just got higher and like Wild Bill, I will NEVER give up on this country.
I should have known I would find what I was looking for here. Thank you for posting it.
I stopped listening to Levine. He is all anger all the time. There are some people who latch onto politics to explain the reason they’re so miserable.
Levin is a genius. If more people read his books and listened to him we wouldn’t be where we are.
I need some clarification. There is a Democrat pundit, Mark Levine. There is a conservative radio host and author, Mark Levin. Which are you referencing? I know the two are confused a lot.
I’m not a numbers person by any stretch of the imagination, but even I think this sounds fishy.

This is my first comment here. I am a PROUD 2008 PUMA!
Reading this makes me “feel” the same pain in my heart that I did
about North Carolina 05/04/08. I campaigned there from NY and by that point had worked so much for Hillary I knew what a “win” felt like. I then knew what “being robbed” felt like.
Thank you for still being here
This is why conservatives keep alienating moderates.
As Britt Hume said last night, self-identified “moderates” are, in truth, leftists.
So, screw the moderates.
Hume would be even more pointed, but the establishment killed his son Sandy, making it look like a suicide. Gee, I think I’ve seen that movie before. Guess they couldn’t arrange for a car accident or a plane wreck fast enough.
I don’t give a crap about the moderates. It wasn’t the moderates who came out to support this smoke-filled suit. Shutterbug is right on with Hume’s quote.
About time! Conservatives have been alienated for years now by moderates….we will not be silent!
I have to question how someone can be “moderate” about 8.5% unemployment, the trouncing of religious liberties, tax increases that will cripple the economy that are destined to begin in 2013 and really hit in 2014, and the utter failure in crafting any coherent foreign policy by this administration? If people can stay passive in the face of these travesties, perhaps they should be alienated so that they don’t help screw things up any more.
Oh, THANK YOU for finding and posting this.
This is the kind of person we need running for elected office. Or at least prepping those who run.
I’m in, Wild Bill!
LOVE Wild Bill. Tons more great stuff of his on YouTube. Praying for your safety.
I’m no numbers cruncher, so do these numbers make sense to anyone who can do math?
http://theulstermanreport.com/2012/11/07/data-points-to-a-powerful-romney-campaign-and-yet-he-lost/
Last week, a neighbor asked me to speak with a friend of hers who was let go from a job in my field and is thus looking. I’m always happy to see if I can help, so I proposed meeting for lunch today. Inevitably, the conversation turned to yesterday’s election.
“I always look for reasons to vote Republican, ” she said, “but I just couldn’t vote for Romney.”
Why is that?” I asked.
“Well, I just can’t support his extremism [short cut to chase]…his anti-abortion positions” this mother of two said.
“Well, his position is for exceptions for rape, incest, health of the mother,” I said “so I’ve always wondered why it is that being in favor of an unlimited right to kill babies isn’t considered the extreme position?”
…..[no answer]….
So here you have a voter who claims to recognize the fiscal responsibility and big government superiority of Romney’s position, but says she can’t because the most important thing is the no-holds-barred “right” of women to kill their babies.
This is the “depth” of the Obama voter.
Sigh.
There are way too many low information voters. I run into this all of the time. They believe the media in all things. They just repeat what they have heard like parrots. This is what we have to fix.
I have a good friend of mine who is the nicest person, however,
it really irks me that she gets all her information from 60 mins.,
that program on CBS I think. I don’t want the alphabet stations
for news (just sports and The Good Wife), so I may have the
station wrong.
It is sometimes very funny, for they have these shows devoted
to, for instance, bedbugs causing all these diseases, then she goes
crazy and boils everything in her house.
She takes what they say as gospel.
Plenty of women think just like her and the Demorats stoke the fear every election season. GOP’s are going to have to cease fire over Roe V Wade and leave it alone — publicly pledge to do so. This will take that off the table and force Dems to talk basic accounting — not their strong suit.
That is a great point. And they should all leave the “rape”
word out of their commentary.
I think whenever speaking to a Democrat or video, leave out all the social issues and just reply, I think all social issues should be an individual choice and left up to the individuals in their own individual state to decide and nothing more unless you are on an evangelical site. (except for the wonderful instance when FearandLoathing got a perfect opening!!!)
Who actually–as a Republican candidate–actually talks about Roe? It’s settled law, like it or not (and I don’t like it–I think abortion should be a state issue). I can’t remember the last even semi-serious national candidate who said anything about Roe.
And you really think “publicly pledg[ing]” to leave it alone will deter a leftist from…you know…lying about a Republican candidate?
Really?
8 years of Reagan, still have abortion, 4 years of Bush(so 12 years) still abortion, Bush, 8 years we still have abortion, THESE PEOPLE WHO THINK THAT a Republican candidate can just waive a wand & get rid of abortion are DELIRIOUS… It’s so stoopid..
hope you didn’t help her find a job…(I know that sounds harsh, but hey, she’s gotta pay the piper.) Let her ask O for a job.
That is how I feel too! Let her suffer the consequences of her actions and find a job for the person who voted for Romney.
I hope you didn’t help her get a job. After yesterday, I’ve decided: America wants Bread and Circuses from the Benevolent Government.
So be it.
It also means that, since Government is in charge of giving all and caring for all. . . I no longer have to. No more volunteering. No more donations. When I DO give charitably, it is purely to individuals who are worthy of helping (anyone else remember the old concept of “the deserving poor” ???) And the FIRST question I ask, when they want help, is who did they vote for, for President ? If the answer is anyone but Romney, my answer is: “You chose Obama, either directly or indirectly. Go ask him for help. . . ”
All my resources are now going into preparations for surviving the now-inevitable economic collapse, or at least allowing my kids to survive. . . .
I am with you! My husband and I sat down last night and talked about how we are going to weather the coming storm! We decided that it is all about us, our family, whatever it takes for us to survive.
Yes, Keith — this is what I’ve heard from many, many friends. The free ride is over. I for one am NOT participating in the economy any longer except for groceries and fuel. NO more purchases, pedicures, clothes, movies, eating out…hey — wait a minute! I haven’t been doing ANY of that for the last four years anyway…
But I WILL be on a cash only basis. No more running checks through the bank, no more online purchases. Barter and cash only. That is my personal F.U. to the “giverment”
A couple other things on this, here is my family’s game plan:
1. We will cut back our spending drastically while advance paying on bills——trading time for money.
2. Wife now has job that will go directly into savings (Credit Union, limiting my bank exposure).
3. As stocks drop, I will be investing at a faster pace–dollar cost averaging on the stock’s Sale Price.
4. With sufficient savings, as the markets collapse (housing and the sort) I will be in a position to purchase homes #2,3, and 4 within the next 4 years.
5. Buy in bulk and store, with inflation approaching, what I buy today will save time and money.
6. Here’s where you all come in, listen to all good ideas that will make my family’s profits huge. I’m tired of surviving, it is time to thrive.
You have some good ideas, but why buy additional housing. After the economic collapse. . . .housing will be a dime a dozen. If you’re going to buy in bulk, look into foodstuffs that have a long storage time. Stockpile water, clothing, and trade goods (coffee, lighters, cigarettes, booze, spices, etc.). And invest in, and learn to use, a good semi-automatic rifle. I recommend an old Soviet or Yugoslavian SKS: inexpensive, durable, forgiving, and easy to find ammo for, in bulk. . .
Amen!
Funny, I know I wrote a very down comment last night but I have generally felt at peace today. I have felt more spiritual than I have for a long time. It is as if He is telling me that this is not over and that we shall prevail.
Oh, thank you Kevin for your work. It has helped keep me sane over the past week and the follow-up on yesterday’s shocking results is carrying right on.
I have felt the same way… At peace and the realization that we are very small and He is very large and this is not the end.
A lot of my Facebook friends had a similar attitude. Very spiritual and uplifting responses from folks. In fact, the only bitter, hateful remarks I saw were from democrats. It was odd, but very telling.
I completely agree! I’ve struggled for many years to get a decent night’s sleep and last night was the best night’s sleep. Was I bothered by the election results? You bet, but I do feel at peace, and I am ready to do battle. But, I realized that I could never have affected the outcome. The battle is spiritual – but I will do what I can for my country’s future.
And I thought I was crazy because I felt more at peace. After 4+ years of living nervously “on the edge”, I slept so well the past 2 night, I feel at peace because now I know that there is not a thing I can do to change the “big picture” which wasn’t my job in the first place (DUH).
So now I know what has to be done. The things that I can do in my personal life: Live my life for the LORD, read His scriptures, love my neighbor & do good (with my ear to the ground & my eyes wide open, vetting who/what is worthy of my time & $$$), prepare for the upcoming battle.
My personal action plan:
1. Don’t waste my energy on misdirected emotion or being angry. If someone who opposes standing in the light confront me, I will not fight with them but will pray for them instead.
2. Submerge myself in prayer & the Scriptures, esp. in times of fear: Is 12; Ps 34:4; 2 Chron. 20, just to name a few.
3. Prepare!! Spend $$$ only on what we will need & to be secure in the future.
4. Network with like minded friends. Use barter whenever possible.
5. Be ready to pick up the pieces after the SHTF, the ones that the LORD places in my path.
Thank you! May listen to Wild Bill again before heading to bed tonight! Will help me rest peacefully….unlike last night! He is so right….also, like posters on other threads here have said, we need a list of advertisers, and whatever else we need to let that “1/2″ know we are not going down without a fight. With Kevin, The Tamminator and others web-reporters leading the charge (from the front mind you, not from behind) we can be focused, organized, powerful and undefeatable!
Will there be a vote recount? what happens with the fiscal cliff? I mean now what do we do? Im lost for words and ideas
I’m in my late fifties. When I was in my mid-forties we were going through some hefty life crisis and in a tearful moment I unloaded on my 70+ year old mother. She grew up in the depression one of eight children in a two room house that had no interior walls or insulation – in Minnesota. Barely finishing high school, she was street smart and had a wonderful sense of life. I could go on and on, but her passing three years ago left me with a giant hole in my life.
Her comment to me was that she thought the forties was a testing time, to show how strong you were when the fifties and sixties rolled around and the kids were older (little children little problems, big children big problems, and she was right), you get older and health problems pop up (take care of your teeth).
As someone who LOVES her country I feel like I am in my forties, being tested this week, to show how strong I am for the fight in the next years and more. We will overcome this and our country will be stronger for it.
I love your story. Thank you for sharing that.
Thank you. There is a picture of my mom when she was about 84-85 on an outing with her Girl Scout Troop that shows all these old ladies just standing there looking old. Except her. My short, pudgy mother had lifted her skirt up above her knee vamping for the camera.
Shortly after the doctor told her she had something more wrong with her than the CHF, kidney failure and Parkinson’s, they needed to do more tests. She looked at the doctor and told her “I am dying from something, let it surprise me.”
Growing up she had to fight and work hard for everything and as a mother of four herself, she (and my dad) had to watch every penny spent. She was scrappy when she needed to be and I will become like her in the upcoming efforts.
In TN my GOP’s just won a super majority. It’s a lonely life to be a Dem in this state. This is going to give us the power to opt out of Obamacare, cap and trade, and any other thug legislation they throw our way. My reps are already gearing up for it.
I’m in Tennessee, too.
governor Democrat-in-Republican-clothing Haslam has been pushing setting up Obamacare exchanges for a couple of months now,
He wants Obamacare and has done nothing – like Governor Perry of Texas – to refuse to institute Obamacare.
Haslam will get his way.
you are correct not to trust haslam, but I wouldn’t give him that much clout. He’s not about to ram anything through here. I think the old compact bill will be resurrected now. We’ll see.
Would TN be a good state to move to to escape the progressive hell we are about to be thrown into?
We’re gonna card check at the state line. You better have conservative bona fides like John Galt.
Yesterday I told my husband TN might be a good place for us to live. We move almost every 2 years since we got married in 2004. My husband is a surgeon, any Hillbuzzers from TN who can link us for a possible employment or even just an interview in the state, hey that will be awesome!
Come on down to ‘bama, we got all branches of govt and have the safety net of the smart voters.
No state income tax. Lot of companies moved from California to Tennessee.
I see a move to TN (or maybe KY) in my near future.
It’s like that in my state, also! We retained our good Gov. Herbert/Lt.Gov. Bell, and Sen. Hatch. I’m not sure about the other officials yet. At least that was a comfort! I’m not sure what all of them can do to resist, but I’m hoping like where you are in TN, that we will have that too! Our state is doing at or better than some states-economically. I’m just worried that Obama and his squad of merry communists/Islamists will start noticing and getting jealous and punishing us somehow. Good grief…
Just need to oust the muslims and TN will be fine! In fact, I may move there myself.
I was stunned, fraud a strong possibility, but now I’m ready for a fight.
The more I think over it and accept God’s plan that things happen for a purpose, the more I realize that this win is an actual trap for Obama. He may think he will have free rein, but we haven’t gone away. Our love for your country has not gone away. We can make as much noise as we can.
And the military will not stand by, as the Military Insider said,
“Voters failed to do right thing. Up to us now. We intend to try another option. Watergate him. Not waterboard him. Watergate him. Don’t contact me again.”
http://theulstermanreport.com/2012/11/07/military-insider-watergate-him/
I found this comment that agrees with my thinking, “The good news is that with the unending corruption and an invigorated TEA Party and military, a weighty enough necklace might begin choking the free reign Barack believes he enjoys.”
http://www.politijim.com/2012/11/heres-good-news-on-romneys-loss.html
We also need to “watergate” the media. As 60 Minutes showed, when did they know Obama lied about Benghazi and why did they lie about it?
Yeah, I’m not ready to call it quits.
Kevin’s right. Everybody should give up their cable tv. Leave them a message saying why. We’re done with leftist crap and corrupted news programs. Use that “off time” to read, group, and generally improve. Netflix and hulu for shows. But break the habit. It’s propaganda.
Form homegrown microloan non-profits and start with a circle of six applicants. When the first person pays off his loan, it goes to the next person. The small group helps the guy succeed. It’s their incentive. We guide. Teach skills. Teach someone to be a carpenter; the loan would be for the tools. Our new carpenter goes to his first jobsite prepared. Later he starts his own business and starts his own circle. We can help with resumes, computer skills, knowledge, etc., and the Republican Party (or the Tea Party or the GrownUp Party) would stand for success. You want to get your real-life MBA, hang out with Republicans on a Saturday.
It will be very hard pull to pull the power back from the federal government to the states, but I think teaching people homesteading skills (be prepared, store water, learn how to start a fire without an electrical switch on the gas grill, knit, start a garden, conserve) is one way. Teach someone how to be independent and it’s really hard for the govt to instill fear. And frankly, stop buying cheap Chinese imported crap.
We can be transparent about it. No need to hide. If the lefties choose to follow suit, well, I think they would end up moving a little to the right.
I have always believed that the way to draw people to Christianity is to present a happy life. Share joy. Be generous. But as Republicans, we are open to all faiths, everybody. We just want them to respect each other, the law, and the country.
I haven’t had cable TV for 3 years and haven’t missed it. You simply waste your life away flipping channels searching for something… not knowing what. You can watch shows on Hulu now and sports on ESPN — got all i need there.
Your comments are so uplifting and inspiring. Thank you!
I was stunned, fraud a strong possibility, but now I’m ready for a fight.

I also picked up that our military is not too happy. A Military insider said, “Voters failed to do right thing. Up to us now. We intend to try another option. Watergate him. Not waterboard him. Watergate him. Don’t contact me again.”
http://theulstermanreport.com/2012/11/07/military-insider-watergate-him/

“Voters failed to do right thing. Up to us now. We intend to try another option. Watergate him. Not waterboard him. Watergate him. Don’t contact me again.”
If I was young enough to be in the services, I would have to think twice with a C-I-C named Obama. The military is undergoing a downsizing like what happened before WW II and then after. They’ll be handing out bullets by the ones and the pilots will take turns flying the one plane left in the Air Force. And after Benghazi, can anyone believe Obama won’t leave anyone behind? The US forces will soon look like the British’s. Brave, but the few.
Okay, I’m back, done with my pity party, and ready to continue on with the fight for our country. I realized today, the next four years are going to be rough, but we will survive and come out on the other end of four years stronger and wiser!!
Being an accountant and working with numbers all day, I still can’t see how the anecdotal evidence, the energy, the momentum went away in the last day. Something is fishy in Denmark but that aside I am certainly not ready to cave to these people. I am tired of being hated, belittled and made fun of for having some values and loving my country. We are making plans to get out of Dodge and relocate to an area more in tune with our values. I’m ready to start fighting, I have everything to lose at this point and that’s when warriors get dangerous!
Wolverines!!
yay!
I have thought a lot about the different types of speeches given this past month. Romney talking to tens of thousands. Obama’s crowds small and meek.
Obama voters are ashamed to support him. Oprah is silent. But I bet my lunch she voted for him in the privacy of that booth. Ditto for the adoring throngs (minus 8 million) from 2008. Minorities NEEDED him to get a second term in order to save face for all of them. I didn’t realize how much they needed it until I saw the trending topics on Twitter. #2terms etc. They went on and on about 2 terms, like it was the holy grail. I guess it was.
I’ve cried and cried since about 10pm last night.
But today – like many of you – I have felt a tug at my heart. I took the kids (7 & 8) to their program at church and sat and listened to them learn about the books of the Old Testament. Then I looked around at some of the members of my church family. And I realized I was right where I need to be. I am doing the right thing – I am focused on my God, my faith, and my family. And I’m going to do this the RIGHT way – because one day they may be the ones yelling “Wolverines!!!”
I’m going to start better “home schooling” my kids beyond school. We are going to learn American history and economics and we are going to do this right. And we’re going to do a family bible study. If they don’t have knowledge and God – they are not prepared. They can tax away all my money but they will never get my faith and my freedom in Christ.
Then Karate and self defense. Learning to pull yourself up by your bootstraps. Gonna read them all the books about Laura Ingalls Wilder and read about hardships. Going to learn to survive (good God I hate camping) and teach my kids in a more consistent way to understand conservative values and reasoning. Going to find economic books for them to support the mini econ lectures we give them over dinner.
Not going to fail my kids in this. Going to go back to my roots and rock firm beliefs that God is on his throne and He is King no matter what idiots I live surrounded by.
And in doing that – I am going to strengthen my resolve and I’m going to let others know what I am doing. I am that committed to laser like focus. Because it’s better than crying. It’s better than just giving up. And if nothing else – it reminds me that the only free stuff I want out of life – is that of God’s salvation. The only price for that was Jesus.
Thank you for the video post – it dovetails nicely with my new focus, my resolve and my faith.
And I thank Kevin and Hillbuzz for being a large part of the motivation for me in doing this.
You are absolutely right in your assessment. We still have to fight, but it’s different now. The political arena is lost to us. We will find no help that way. Now we must begin the task of preparing for the hardships to come. Prepare for economic catastrophe and disrupive disasters like terrorist attacks. Prepare for hyperinflation and disrupted food and/or electricity supplies. We have to learn how to make it on our own.
Even more important than that is to teach our children. We must teach them facts, history, economics, and why our way is right. We have to teach them God’s word on a daily basis because persecution is coming–it has already happened to some who oppose gay marriage. We have to try to innoculate them against the moral relativism and hedonism of our culture so they’re more likely to stand up for what’s right, even when it’s hard.
I’ve been heartsick and physically sick for a day now, but my resolve is starting to harden. I’ve been thinking about our new way forward and what we must do as families and churches to prepare to survive the onslaught. I’m getting a new sense of purpose. I’m leaving poltics behind; it’s nearly pointless now. I won’t let it suck any more time and energy away from me as it has done for four years now as I watched in horror at what has unfolded. No, I’m fighting a different fight now.
I will fight but agree that the political arena is lost to us. No matter what the republican house does it will be vilified and used as an excuse for obamas failed policies. I say step aside and let them hang themselves. Meanwhile I will hunker down and fight in other ways. In the end we will remain standing.
I am getting so much inspiration from reading all these posts
tonight. Thanks!
Kevin,
This website has literally become my lifeline. I am so sad today, almost like a hangover. Once I gather myself up I will be joining in the fight. I SO APPRECIATE You and Everyone here. This has become my number one site I visit everyday, THANK YOU Tamminator for posting this. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! To everyone here for the encouragement and the love.
I joined the NRA today and am signing up to take a firearms class so I can get a concealed carry permit. In Louisiana we passed an amendment yesterday that strengthens our 2nd amendment right even more. It’s about time I exercise it!
Hello all. It has certainly been a tough 24 hours. Lots of negative thoughts have been flowing but most of all “How in the world did this happen?” Im only in college so I don’t really know much other than the late Clinton years, Bush, and then the first four years of this disaster. I want to know how we got to a point where so many people are uninterested and uneducated about things. I always here how the leftists (which I convinced a lot of people to say since I started reading this site) got control of the education and media. This leads me to believe that at one point they seemed to be more on the conservative side (more “American” or whatever you wish to call it). If thats the case, at one point a bunch of leftists were wondering the same thing I am now which is “How to get to influence my view point on this nation?” They then put together a plan and here we are today. I think it can be done in reverse (have conservatives infiltrate schools and eventually the media). A good starting point would be to put emphasis on the study of economics in the public schools. What do you all think?
College Conservative -
Couldn’t agree more – we got where we are because the left started playing “the long game” in the 60s and 70s. Our perspective must now be our own long game. It will take decades, and we can only hope there are enough young people with your perspective and the dedication to commit to the future. We of the boomer generation must be about the business of laying the groundwork for your future success. We’re ahead on the intellectual groundwork – lots of books and thought pieces. But armchair activism isn’t enough. We must put our beliefs in practice locally, in the states and the federal level. If we don’t run for City Council or serve on local citizen advisory boards or neighborhood associations, our armchairs will turn to wheelchairs while we wait for the next generations to be the do-ers. Will it be too late for them? Those of us who are older MUST get off our duffs – we may not be here for the finish, but we can influence the outcome by making a good start.
One area in which college students and those coming up behind can have an immediate impact might be developing an expertise in the new methods of voter identification and targeting. See, for example, this story at Slate.com
http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/victory_lab/2012/10/obama_s_secret_weapon_democrats_have_a_massive_advantage_in_targeting_and.single.html
Also reading the constitution should be required in school. It’s short and sweet nothing that complicated. They should be handing out pocket constitutions to everyone.
JUSTICE FOR BENGHAZI – TIE A BLACK RIBBON
On September 11, 2012, we Americans suffered an unspeakable loss, a deep and penetrating emotional wound, as we learned of the horrifying events that transpired in Benghazi. This act of terrorism led to the ghastly murders of our Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens, computer specialist Sean Smith, and of the two brave Navy Seals who attempted their rescue. Seals Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty exemplified true American spirit and heroism as they defied orders to “stand down” by rushing to the aid of those in harm’s way. Despite being heavily outnumbered and outgunned, these brave men held off the terrorist siege for seven long hours before succumbing to their attackers. During the attack, Tyrone Woods use a laser to “paint” the location of the terrorist forces so military drones stationed in the area could fly in, fire upon the attackers, and save the day. Those drones never came to the rescue despite being provided with an accurate target by Woods. Why didn’t they come? Why weren’t the two heavily outnumbered Seals provided with back-up? Why did they have to defy “stand down” orders in order to attempt a rescue of imperiled American lives? The mystifying order to “stand down” originated in the White House from none other than President Barrack Obama. It took the terrorists 7 long hours to finally succeed in their grisly task. The horrors of Benghazi, filmed by security drones, were witnessed in real time by those in the war room as the action unfolded. After three hours, Obama decided to retire to an early bedtime leaving those in the war room to helplessly watch the assault and murders. Why did Obama allow this to happen? What were his reasons? Maddeningly, these questions remain unanswered.
In the wake of the murders in Benghazi, Barrack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Ambassador to the Untied Nations Susan Rice, lied to us by concocting a story that this was the result of a spontaneous uprising in response to an anti-Muslim film posted on You Tube. When mountains of evidence and witnesses began to surface defying this explanation, Obama obfuscated the truth. With the help of an ever compliant press, this story was buried in order to protect the President’s reelection chances. Now, in the wake of Super-storm Sandy and Obama’s reelection, this scandal, otherwise known as “Benghazi-gate”, is being quietly shoved between the cracks and into dark obscurity, never to be recorded by history. We, as American citizens, must not allow this to happen! Truth and justice must not die with those murdered in Benghazi. We need to stand together and DEMAND a full investigation to honor and venerate these men! Those who are guilty of allowing this atrocity to happen must be brought to justice! Let’s all join together in solidarity by tying a black ribbon around mail-boxes, car antennas, trees, fences, etc. or by simply wearing one. Anything black will work. Satin ribbon, black electrical tape, even black plastic strips. If we all join together by publically displaying our black ribbons, those in power will be forced by the court of public opinion to expose the truth and try the guilty.
That’s an amazing idea, sir. I hope we can make this viral.
Copy/paste and send to your contacts via email. It will go viral
in no time. I plan on starting right now.
Again, thanks Kevin, Tamminator, and posters for such wonderful inspiration.
Diane,
Do I have your permission to copy and paste? This is an excellent post!
I am still out of work. Kevin do you think my job hunt has gotten worse. I have family out of work is there job hunt gotten worse. Does anyone here know if Oregon is doing well financially? Florida I can’t stay here
Come to Texas. Do research – there’s Dallas & I live in Austin – leftist city but they’re surrounded by many many conservative counties – check out Elgin and Bastrop.
Just an aside. I think S. Dakota and N. Dakota, because of their energy supplies have a great job market. Check it out.
You can try Utah, also! Our conservative Gov. Herbert won again, and he’s done a lot to improve the state economically. We have a few areas that haven’t recovered fully yet, but overall, things are a bit brighter!
I LOVE the black ribbon idea!
Thanks for posting this video. Very inspirational. No evil can remain hidden from God, the evil of this administration will be exposed. God is omnipotent and omnipresent and as I always would say to my younger Sunday School students, “there is not a spot where God is not.”
Kevin, I just watched this video. It is the future. You will love this path for our future. Please, please, please watch it, because if it is ever to work, it will need positive, uplifting people like you to get behind it.
It’s Bill Whittle’s new idea for our path forward.
http://www.ustream.tv/channel/the-stratosphere-lounge
Thanks for all you do,
Karen
That was a great video. Bill Whittle is onto an idea…going Galt without actually withdrawing from society…forming a virtual interactive community…in parallel with the government. I can’t wait to see more of this idea…

I agree that economy is about to get a whole lot worse. I think we should do our part in helping making it worse by boycotting it. Cut your personal spending as much as possible for the next four years. We can still vote with our dollar. Since we live in a country where much of the voting population is entirely disconcerned with the dishonesty of the media, I think its only fair for us to do our parts in helping feed another recession/depression that is going to happen without our help anyways.
I am looking at everyone that i do business with and asking them point blank if they voted for Obama and if so i am going to find someoene else to do business with
In the 1963 movie The Birds, Rod Taylor is boarding up the house and turns to Tippi Hedron and says “they strike, disappear, and start massing. Instead of Rod and Tippi, it’s the leftists. Instead of the birds, it’s us. We struck November 6th. Now we re-energize and re-group. We won’t quit.
My understanding of God and how He moves, He will remove obama in such a way that the glory will truly be all His. So believers and unbelievers will have an example that clearly shows no doubt He is God. Left to choose from their wether to accept Him or not.
Just as in Against All Odds – the docu series of miraculous happenings around the Jewish people. The many times they should have been anialated and yet miraculous things would happen to save His people.
Though USA is not Israel, God did establish our country on His terms through fearless men and women of faith in Him. He will never leave us or forsake us if we keep our eyes fixed on Him and continue to step out in faith as He leads us.
Thank you, Kevin, for posting this.
Rightscoop has posted 2 excellent segments from Mark Levin’s show last night.

We must all pick up the phone and call GOP Leadership, our reps / senators. Boehner is signaling a deal including tax increases, I am not surprised and expect him to cave, we must demand spending cuts have to come first and if they cave to tax increases, it must be only for reducing the debt and not new “investments” code word for spending.
I don’t want tax increases but I’m beginning to think maybe they should do what Obama wants-economy tanks he has noone to blame but himself. And I really don’t like the thought of that happening. It makes me sick but he seems to know better than anyone else. In fact, I can’t stand him.
If I may, I’d like to suggest a book for all of us to read. “The Blueprint, How the Democrats won Colorado, (and Why Republicans Everywhere should care).
There is much to learn from this book, I’ve seen the same tactics used in my state and I suspect, it played a role in your state. I am going to go to as many conservative and GOP meetings as I can in my area with this book in hand and examples of how it has been implemented locally, and suggest people read it and learn from it.
One analysis which would be useful is to know how many 3rd party candidates made an impact on Senate / House and local races. For example, Josh Mandel got 45%, independent candidate 5% and Brown won with 50%. Expect the Left to run a 3rd party in every election, it is part of their strategy.
Sorry for the double post, I put this on another thread as well.
I don’t understand how there were less people voting this year than in 2008 when there were lines everywhere. It just does not compute.
I think people are questioning our voting system; whether it is fair or not. I don’t care if you are a D or R, the sanctity of our votes should be of primary importance. The people should know how accurate are the voting machines. Do they accurately store the person’s vote? Does it correctly tabulate the vote? Is it possible that the screen showed I voted R but it tabulates as a vote for D? How do we find this out? Don’t we the people have the right do demand open and honest testing of the machines?
We should all be contacting our respective Secretary of State before 2014 and demanding open and public testing of the machines, not only show the actual vote but the tabulation of the vote. I question if you had 25 straight R votes if it would tabulate as 25 straight R votes or if some tabulate as D votes. A small percentage of that could swing an election.
The UN observers were shocked that we don’t have to show id to vote like every other industrial nation. Since the media wants us to follow the UN in everything, we should use this to out advantage and send them every quote we can find from the UN observers to back up our argument that we need voter id? The media may disparage us, but they won’t disparage the UN.
I am not some crazy conspiracy theorist. I just want the will of the people to be followed. If the will of the people is something I disagree with, I can deal with it. However, I can not shake the feeling that something unfair happened in this election.
I also found this:
“One more keep the faith, conservatives, message…
A very much worrying cost of the election is that Obamacare will be fully implemented by 2014, but will it?
Here is a recent post from the Cato Center: Could Oklahoma’s New Lawsuit Strike a Fatal Blow to Obamacare?”
http://www.cato.org/event.php?eventid=9207
And more . . . .
As Palin said, “We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted but not forsaken, struck down, but not destroyed.” – 2 Corinthians 4:8-9.
Reason to hope?
“While the map was difficult for Democrats this year, it’s murderous in 2014.
- 20 Democrats will be up for reelection, compared to 13 Republicans.
- 12 of those 20 Democrats come from either red states (six) or swing states (six).
- Only one of the 13 Republicans comes from a state that isn’t red, and that’s Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine), whose seat is basically safe unless she retires.
Top GOP targets are likely to include Democratic Sens. Mark Begich (Alaska), Mark Pryor (Ark.), Mary Landrieu (La.), Max Baucus (Mont.), Tim Johnson (S.D.), Mark Udall (Colo.), Al Franken (Minn.), Jeanne Shaheen (N.H.) and Kay Hagan (N.C.). Five of the nine are first-term senators, and Republicans have already got a strong potential candidate against Johnson, with former governor Mike Rounds launching an exploratory committee last week.)”
The fight has just begin just as Kevin & Tamminator have said.
The shock is wearing off…now my husband and I are regrouping. We are taking the steps necessary to survive without media/government influence. We are going to cling to our guns and our God. We are stopping cable…forget Fox News, etc. Don’t need them. We are starting to stock up on non-perishable foods items, water, etc, so when prices begin to really skyrocket we will have the things we need to live. We are going to begin converting SOME of the savings we have in 401Ks, etc into small amounts of gold, silver and other commodities so we have bargaining power when our paper money is worthless (and that will happen, I am more sure of it everyday). Most people I know probably will think we are crazy…but I do not care…I have to work on forgiveness because right now I am so mad at all my lefty friends and family..I pray that I will have the compassion for these people when they come to my door asking for help because they thought their “President Messiah” would save them. I never thought that we would have to live with these worries…I was naive, but not anymore.
I too am so angry at lefty / uninformed friends and family right now. I really have to work on forgiveness bc the way i see it they are stealing from my children. I am dreading the holidays. And am serously considering sending some nastygrams to our bishop and priests.
Your plans and preparations echo ours exactly. While I’ve struggled with it for a while, at this point I’m thrilled that my husband, daughter and I are living with my parents. It provides us with easy pooling of resources, safety in numbers and more hands with which to prep.
I feel like we’re living in a real life version of the Ants and the Grasshopper. WE all see the writing on the wall. A metaphorical winter of epic proportions is coming. Therefore, we are preparing for the worst, while hoping for the (highly unlikely) best. “THEY” spend their time partying it up and cheering for free stuff, forgetting that *someone* has to pay for it. As the devaluation of the dollar continues and gas and food prices rise, we will hunker down and get our affairs in order.
Those of us who cherish and embody the American spirit will prevail. We will endure. We will survive. We know how to take care of ourselves. Those who only know how to take a handout will struggle. Chins up, patriots, chins up.
Beautifully put, Dess! Thanks for the inspiration!
We need to start taking some of the left’s polices and using what seems like harmless words to advance our ideas. A big push should be “RIGHT TO WORK”. I know plenty of people who still want to work, they are just encouraged to stay on unemployment rather than getting a job because it pays more than taking a lesser job. That being said, a lot of people would like to work, and provide for their family. We need to find these phrases that go against the left but without actually attacking the left’s vehicles directly. You have to change the mindset.
We need some type,of event, possibly an ongoing thing that would attract low info voters. Example, comic con aytracts video gamers.
Lollapalooza here in chicago, attracts hipsters. These 2 events charge a lot, but are crowded. We also need some new organizations that arent tied to republucan, conservative or tea party groups. Think how acorn keeps renaming itself.
The events should be enyertainment based, not political. Lets face it, we’ve captured a lot of the peole who are moved to rallies. Its thepeole who.dont know who therir seanators are that we nrrdto reach.
With these new groups sponsoring events, we can at least gather lists of poyential voters
I really needed to see Wild Bill’s video today, so many thanks for his positive, uplifting message! (Wild Bill for president!!!) I’d been reading a bunch of negative, angry comments on another conservative news site, and became more discouraged, so I quit reading and will try to stay positive while I focus on where my true hope and peace comes from.
The pastor of our church sent this email to our members yesterday and it gave me much to ponder:
“I want to encourage you as we process our thoughts on the result of yesterday’s election, regardless of which candidate you hoped would win.
It’s a good day to be a Christian:
God’s word makes it clear that ‘Our God is in the heavens, He does as He pleases’ (Ps 115:3) and we can be assured that ‘there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God’ (Romans 13:1).
To those who are discouraged, disillusioned, even angry about yesterday’s results, truths like these bring comfort and humility. And to those who are celebrating yesterday’s results, truths like these remind us that it is not in this human government that we ultimately place our hope.
The beauty of a democratic republic:
The brilliance of our governmental structure is that it is designed to mirror our nation. And so it does—for better or for worse. That’s why elections feel so personal. They are a reflection of us as a nation.
But now, think about the incredible opportunity this presents us as Christ-followers! Whether you cast your ballot as Red or Blue yesterday, we can humbly recognize that it’s not the responsibility of the government to shape the moral values of our nation and our neighbors. It’s ours! It’s mine. And when we the church bring the gospel to bear on our relationships and culture, our government will begin to reflect that as well. What’s the best way to make this happen? Multiply your vote. Be a disciple who makes disciples who makes disciples (Matthew 28:19).
Like our fathers before us, I truly believe this is the best form of government conceived by the minds of men to this day. Why? Because it allows us as Christ-followers to have genuine, biblical, salt-and-light impact where we ought—in our own spheres of influence like our neighborhoods and school and jobs (in other words, the government doesn’t replace our Christian responsibility). It also encourages us to avoid the extremes of fearful isolationism and passive consumerism, while instead being critically and proactively engaged as agents of change within our culture.
Questions to consider:
So let me ask… If you are especially excited today, why are you excited? And if you are especially discouraged today, what is the cause for you discouragement? Are you more or less hopeful based on yesterday’s results? And how might that reflect the object of our hope?”
“Success is not final. Failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.” ~ Winston Churchill
Thanks Tamm. You are awesome and your bounceback is fabulous!
This has helped me to finally have the good cry that I’ve been needing since Tuesday night.
We flew back from Cincinnati last night – and I went straight to bed when I got home. I have completely ignored all media since Tue. I don’t know what the stages of grief are but am recognizing that Tue night & yesterday I was in shock. The reality is sinking in and I am sad today and slowly moving to acceptance. I’m hoping to miss the anger stage but with my personality, it’s doubtful.
To my surprise, I feel peace. I think this experience has helped me to realize that my trust really is in God and that He is in control even though I don’t understand. I know in my heart that we have to look to Him for the strength to regroup and go full speed ahead against this evil – and that we will.
This a huge setback but I am relieved that it is over. No more uncertainty. Just as it was when we found out or youngest had disabilities, we have to go on one day at a time, sometimes one step at a time, trusting that God is in control, yet being smart and planning for the future.
What I cannot do is let the Lefties and the Devil rob us of our joy. As hard as that is….
Very well said, Goffi– I couldn’t agree more. I’m in the sadness stage of grieving for the election outcome but working on heading toward acceptance. And as you mentioned so beautifully, “we have to go on one day at a time, sometimes one step at a time, trusting that God is in control, yet being smart and planning for the future.” Amen!
Last night, our family attended the memorial service of a beautiful 19 year old who died after a horrific 5 month battle with a rare cancer. What her parents and 16 year old sister will be dealing with in the years to come helps put things in perspective.
Oh Sandi – I am so sorry to hear about your loss and am sending up prayers for you and for the family.
What a tragedy. You are right, it sure highlights the things that are truly important and that we need to keep things in perspective. For me, I need to consciously spend time every day thinking about all the things I can be thankful for because it is in my nature to dwell on the negative and let it consume me.
Thank you for your response and for sharing about your friends – I know that we need to grieve to be healthy so I am glad that you are allowing yourself this time to grieve for our country and for the young woman and her family. What a rough week you have had.
I’m hoping that acceptance over the election will come soon but find it hard with the stolen election theories. Acceptance is not the same as surrender though, we will regroup and fight for our country, we can’t help it – it’s in our American blood.
What a great message!
Thank you KDJ for this helpful video. Compared to the one posted on top of it, it’s a revelation.
We are Americans. We do not give up ever. Its in our DNA to carry on during times of struggle. In the end the truth about Obama will be revealed. Egomaniacs like Obama always destroy themselves. I have faith that this set back is part of a bigger plan to save our nation. The response or lack of response by FEMA to Hurricane Sandy is being FELT by those who usually laugh at our conservative ideas. They will see that personal preparedness is the way to go and not wait till the government helps. Neighbor reaching out to neighbors is what works. I am sure those in NJ and NY are learning this as I type this message. Look to the Southern Coastal states. People on the coast live with storm destruction all the time. They do not sit and wait for FEMA (except some people during Hurricane Katrina). Unfortunately, the lessons are very difficult, but they are lessons none the less. America is about Independence NOT dependence. Bad things that happen always provide lessons for us.
I am so confused. When a president is caught lying, we the people have a right to see him impeached. obama has lied about everything from birth to college to Benghazi. And he allowed the brave Navy Seals of team 6, to be killed because they were denied cover. He overrides the US Constitution. How is this man president. How debased are the voters? How can we demand he be impeached? What does it take, This man is laughing at us and wondering how we can be so stupid. He is like hitler, Lie and the bigger the lies and the more you repeat it, the more they believe it. Cannot Americans march on Wahington and demand a trial. I guess i am naive
The media is in control of the messaging. A lot of low information voters depend on ABC Nightly News and others like them. I have a sister in law who voted for Obama. When I question her about certain things Obama has done, she claims she does not know what I am talking about. A lot of the people who voted probably never heard of people like Ambassador Stevens. Its a very sad commentary, and its the realty we all must face.
In the end the “religious vote” weren’t buying Romney as a God fearing, constitution respecting, conservative. His record in Mass. betrayed his “conversion”. There are more people who are Christians first and Republicans second than any of us thought. I can’t blame them though. When the upper rings of the party are held by Karl Rove types that hate us (real actual Christians) with the first of 1000 suns, why would we support his candidates and his party?
i respectfully disagree with “you can’t blame them”. I can. They have no more honor than those “Christians or Jews” who voted for Obama. I am Catholic and I can not believe how they vote!!!! The “conversion” reason is ridiculous. For those evangelicals who believe in “born again” or the simple “convert” to the faith, how can they NOT vote??? How they judge…. That was hypocrisy on display!!!!! The moral implications of this election, regardless of your denomination, were front and center. God’s voice is loud and clear on these issues. The party platforms were loud and clear. These people, whether Obama voters or religious non voters, turned their back on the country and God. How many of them will sit in the pews on Sunday, and pray that God spares us, all the while knowing they played a part in where we are headed, both financially and morally.
No, I can blame. However, I know I am taught to forgive. I pray for the grace to do that. And yet, maybe it is God’s will. Maybe the majority in this country, religious people included, need a wake up call. Pray.
Trying to explain last election’s results:
The last Presidential election was heating up and some of the children showed an interest.
I decided we would have an election for a class president. We would choose our nominees. They would make a campaign speech and the class would vote.
To simplify the process, candidates were nominated by other class members. We discussed what kinds of characteristics these students should have. We got many nominations and from those, Jamie and Olivia were picked to run for the top spot.
The class had done a great job in their selections. Both candidates were good kids. I thought Jamie might have an advantage because he got lots of parental support. I had never seen Olivia’s mother.
The day arrived when they were to make their speeches.
Jamie went first.
He had specific ideas about how to make our class a better place.
He ended by promising to do his very best. Everyone applauded and he sat down.
Now is was Olivia’s turn to speak.
Her speech was concise. She said, “If you will vote for me, I will give you ice cream.” She then sat down. The class went wild. “Yes! Yes! we want ice cream.” She surely would say more. She did not have to.
A discussion followed. How did she plan to pay for the ice cream?
She wasn’t sure. But no one pursued that question. They took her at her word. Would her parents buy it or would the class pay for it… She didn’t know. The class really didn’t care. All they were thinking about was ice cream…
Jamie was forgotten. Olivia won by a landslide.
Every time Barack Obama opened his mouth he offered ice cream and 51.4 % of the people reacted like nine year olds.
They want ice cream.
The other 48.6% percent know they’re going to have to feed the cow and clean up the mess.
