George Will correctly informs Republicans that a President Romney would be too afraid of making actual, hard decisions to save the country from economic ruin
George Will’s new column on Mittens Romneycare is out. You can read it here.
Essentially, Will clearly spells out that Mittens is just not the sort of politician who can be counted on to make tough, unpopular decisions that will be needed to get our economy back on track.
One area of Mittens’ long history of taking both sides of just about every issue that Will highlights is Mittens’ flip-flopping on ethanol subsidies; Mittens changes his opinion base on whom he is speaking to in a room on that particular day.
Ethanol subsidies are part of what’s tanking our economy and driving up food prices around the globe. Some days, Mittens is for them (when he’s sucking up to Iowans) and other days he’s against them (when he’s directly confronted on this by conservatives). Mittens is so afraid of bad media coverage and upsetting people he needs for his rise to power that he just can’t be trusted to do the right thing and end all ethanol subsidies and ethanol requirements in fuel.
Mittens can’t be trusted to do the right thing on anything, and would essentially be Obama-lite as president.

No thank you!
I truly hope that "The Donald" is paying attention. As of yet, he has not endorsed anyone. I believe he was waiting and would have endorsed Gov. Palin. I cannot find any sense of satisfaction with the remaining candidates. They have beaten each other up to the point, they all look like a bad dream. If Mr. Trump wants to save this country, he may very well have to step in and run as a third-party. He is the only possible one that could succeed. I think this Country is ready for it and the two parties we now have in Congress have done nothing to preserve the status quo. I think he could clean up if he took Sarah with him. Did anyone listen to Greta repeating Sarah's words when she withdrew?
Snowstorm,
Governor Palin never withdrew from anything — she was never in the race.
What are you talking about with “Greta repeating” the words? What words?
Jon Huntsman is being setup by Democrats to run as a third party candidate to allow Obama to squeak through to victory. Donald Trump will not run as a second third party candidate.
I am interested in seeing who he endorses though. There’s a surprising lot to like about Mr. Trump sometimes.
George Will: Mitt Romney Could Cost Republicans the Senate
This is significant. Even George Will, the dean of Washington’s establishment conservative punditocracy, is beginning to see Mitt Romney as the disaster he’d be should he be the Republican nominee in 2012. And for Will, this must be difficult since Romney, that most established of establishment candidates, is exactly the kind of guy Will would normally support: Ivy League education, the son of a former Governor, easily malleable on social issues, etc., etc. And let’s not forget, last spring George Will decreed that Romney was only one of five potential GOP candidates worthy of consideration for the presidency

Mitt Romney could cost the GOP Texas. Cain would get a defeat bigger than Goldwater.
Kevin, you mentioned something on the Shea-King broadcast last night that just sent the hair up on the back of my neck.
You wondered aloud if Cain could be a 'Stalking Horse' for Mittens.
Man did the bells, whistles and alarms start going off!
He is the TP favorite right now, and he throws out red meat to them periodically to keep them fired up. If he goes into the early primaries with the TP backing, he will take the votes away from Bachmann and Perry.
If this works, he will eliminate all other conservatives.
When this is complete, he could step aside, and hand the nomination to Mittens.
Stay Focused guys!
Obama is the guy we are trying to get rid of. A third party candidate of any kind would help Obama and we don't need that. Focus, focus, focus…. Support whoever gets the "R" nomination.
