Gearing up for the Navy Pier Tea Party Protest tomorrow
Here are some of the signs and Tea Crates we made to prep for tomorrow’s Tax Day Tea Party at Navy Pier in Chicago.
The Tea Party will be held from 430pm-9pm at Navy Pier, just outside The Billy Goat Tavern. Navy Pier is located at 300 E Grand Street — The Billy Goat Tavern is towards the end of the pier, passed the USO office, passed the Shakespearean Theater, but before you reach the banquet space at the very back. You can’t miss the tall ship docked on the Pier next to the Billy Goat.
Many thanks to everyone who helped collect wooden crates to be turned into Tea Crates for the event. A few of them are above in their freshly painted glory.

One aspect of the photo of the Tea Party gear that jumped out to me when I first saw the photo was an Obama sign. I thought that the Tea parties were not about a particular political party or person and more about governmental control, spending, taxation and a host of other governmental issues. The point was to not focus on Obama.
Seeing the Obama sign leads me to believe that this is partly an anti-Obama rally which quickly dilutes the Tea Party message as I know it to be.
I hope the event is a grand success. We are in Indiana, so will be supporting the cause locally.
I decided to take on Chase Bank instead with my protest. What the credit card companies are about to do to the american people will actually do a lot of harm, and do it instantly.
Be prepared to have your efforts minimized by the media, who may label your protest as the work of bitter republicans in an effort to defuse the entire April 15th protest.

My dad had renal cancer and my mom had gastric cancer. Two separate nightmares, 20 years apart. The analogy with Chase’s actions is a good one, unfortunately.

The FOX station in St. Louis is reporting that the Tea Party being held there is organized by the Constitution Party and therefore a bunch of ‘right-wing extremists’.
Say What?
I hope the partiers coming out to protest don’t take this seriously.
I’m surprised and disappointed in FOX.

Audrey Hudson was interviewed this morning on the radio. She said when she received this report, she suspected it to be fake. Homeland Security verified it was definitely legitimate. Ms. Hudson also mentioned that DHS made a report on left-wingers; however, never distributed it. It was obvious the WH only felt a need to distribute the right-winger report. The report was sent to all police and the government told the departments that they WOULD WORK WITH THEM TO HELP WATCH THE PEOPLE.
It is interesting that the RADICALS are those who are against illegal immigration, abortion, groups that reject federal authority in favor of state or local governments, or are vets, with no mention of those who fly airplanes into buildings.
Audrey Hudson called the FBI and asked them about the concern of the vets becoming radical. The FBI said they had nothing to do with this report;however, they did do a study about the radicalization of vets. Their report found that the number of vets who turned radical was MINISCULE.
hey now, flying an airplane into a building is a ‘man caused disaster.’ Totally different thing than peaceable assembly with a bunch of signs. ;D

American Family Associaton is reporting 2000 tea parties and Tax Day Tea Party claims the movement has now spread overseas, with one party planned in Vaerloese, Denmark.
The MSM is not liking this one bit. Paul Krugman,NYT, wrote, “Republicans have become embarrassing to watch. And it doesn’t feel right to make fun of crazy people.” He said the tea parties are not an accurate representation of the sentiment of the people; they were AstroTurf-”fake grassroots”.
Mr. Krugman needs to understand that this is a REAL grassroots movement made up of ALL people—not just Republicans.
“ACORN is going to be engaged in a series of rallies across the country on April 15 in support of the priorities outlined in President Obama’s first budget… ,” Acorn spokesman Charles Jackson said. “This is the first we’ve heard of these ‘tea parties’ and, frankly, a gripe-fest by a bunch of conservatives whose preferred economic policies got us in this mess in the first place is of no interest to us.”
The first time Acorn has heard about the tea parties?

I just pray that turnout is HUGE- it has to be too big for the MSM clowns to ignore.
I can’t attend a tea party myself (vacation next week means I can’t take an extra day off tomorrow), but I’m sending my family in St. Paul in my place. Can’t wait to see how my local news covers the party in Madison- I’ve heard that buses from all over the state (chartered by private citizens and some local groups) are coming to the capitol.
Folks in the MSM are kidding themselves if they claim this isn’t a grassroots effort- everywhere I’ve read about it, including Hillbuzz, focuses on regular citizens, many of whom have never protested before in their lives. I’m excited.

Came back from NYC tea party– So many people! I’d say at the minimum, over 2000 peopel from where I could see. But it spanned 4 blocks.

But I’m looking thru articles now, no clear number proposed for NYC, except one said 2000. NYTimes mentions the turnout, 1000 here, 2000 there…but when they mention NYC, they just say people turned out. COULD THEY BE AFRAID TO say JUST HOW MANY THOUSANDS THERE WERE? LAUGHING, b/c it is a liberal city. Haha. Woo, crowd was so energized.

To everyone attending the tea parties –
If you see somebody spewing hate and bigotry, assume this is an Obama infiltrator. As politely as possible let them know that this is not what we’re about. I realize they will come prepared to stage the words and images they want, but no purpose is served by returning hate for hate. Simply photograph those involved in these games so that the truth can be seen.
Seriously, everybody should bring a camera or video and photograph as much as possible. Let the truth be seen.

According to the Liberals, and especially a very unprofessional CNN reporter at a Chicago tea party, we are all right wing fools.. I guess she never figured out that, one, she was supposedly a reporter, and two, what the heck we are all angry about. She was a MSM poster child. I went to two Tea Parties today…Harrisburg and Lancaster, PA ….and while a few of the people were over the edge, the marjority were simply, such am moi, simple folk….what do we simple folk do….sorry, I always liked that song….but most were like you and I, and we were trashed by the MSM as lunatics….plus that fool Gibbs dismissed us totally …. he claimed Obama wasn’t even aware of the tea parties, if that is true, it smacks of the people who didn’t tell the Emperor he had no clothes. Gibbs is the most rude, arrogant, press secretary I have ever seen…..what a turkey.

Lyn, Thanks for the link. I watched the video. Susan Whatever was talking down to that man and arguing. The other person on the news was just as arrogant and rude. SHE WAS HARRASSING that man because he did not answer the question the way she thought he should answer it. I am so sick of these people.
