It’s the leadup to Halloween, so all month we’re going to show you a different favorite costume of ours to give you some Halloween ideas. Above is probably our favorite of all in the last few years..so cute.
Add links to this thread for any good costumes that you have seen that struck you as particularly clever…we have 30 more days to fill, so give us some great ones!

Awww…. I forgot about that little Palin girl.
So cute.
We are very concerned about the illegal voting practices likely to take place this November 2nd. News sources revealing that the Obama-Holder Injustice Department has no intention of enforcing the inadequate voting laws already on the books.
Volunteer to be a poll watcher. We citizens have to be the ones to guard our republic.
How do I go about being one? Do I need one of those nice black uniforms and a night stick?
Seriously, how do I?
It’s easy! Contact your local party headquarters as each party has observers. You’ll likely need to attend one ‘initiation’ type class to go over the legalities of what you may or may not do/say/wear. You might be able to volunteer in a general sense as well by going through your local Board of Elections.
What’s on my mind?
…a few things are floating around up there.
- How the People’s employees in D.C. could just go swanning off on a six-week recess without passing a budget. I heard this is actually illegal.
- I wish Sean Hannity would stop having Newt Gingrich and Mike Huckster on his TV show. They both need to fade into history and oblivion.
- I think Obama has snapped. Check out the headlines Drudge is running. ‘It took time to free the slaves.’
Agree.
Agree.
And agree.
Both Newt(dirty past) Gingrich and Mike(Criminals Pardoner) Huckabee are Hannity’s friends and Fox News contributors.
Mitt(behind the scenes-Flip Flopper)Romney is still doing his dirty tricks behind the scenes like in 2008.
Celebrities who lean Right…this kinda stuff makes me happy:

I remember that little sweetie from last year.
Good Morning Buzzers,
We’ve had crazy rain here, so I hope no one has been affected by the flooding.
Hoping all is well with TN mom and her daughter, and we hear from her soon.
Still miss Cat and hope she pops back in.
That is all.
She’s too darn flipping cute!!
Whhere is my gravatar???
No settings changes on my end what’s up?
Have you double-checked to make sure there are no typos in your e-mail address? That happens to me sometimes, because I clear my cookies a lot.
every once in a blue moon I get randomly logged out and have to log back in again…don’t know why.
just a snippet from the new Rolling Stone interview with bambo:
“And then there are probably some aspects of the Tea Party that are a little darker, that have to do with anti-immigrant sentiment or are troubled by what I represent as the president”.
He still doesn’t understand about “immigrant” vs. “illegal alien” since those who break into our country are not actually immigrants at all.
Little Miss Sarah is the cutest! You betcha!
Today is World Smile Day and National Homemade Cookie Day per Yahoo!
Hope your day is full of smiles and yummy cookies!
Here is the first TV Ad put out by Ben Lange. Make sure you watch until the end…it is sweet!

Sigh. We live in Seinfeld’s bizarro world. Up is down/Down is up. Truth is lie/Lie is truth. I am so sick of it. I may be the first person on line to vote November 2.
We should have a post/thread where we can all check in after voting to let us all know whether their district is busy or flat. In my area, busy means a big loss for D’s.
Did any of you happen to write down the names of the books recommended by Glenn Beck during his interview with Dinesh D’Souza on Wed (I missed Thursday’s show)? I’ve got D’Souza’s book but didn’t catch the names of most of the others.
Thanks!
Countess,
I think that when you go to Amazon, there’s an entire page devoted to Glenn Beck’s picks. That’s how I found some of the books that he mentioned but couldn’t remember their names. You could most likely find the books there.
And just think, when the Boyz get their new site with ads and widgets, clicking on an Amazon link via their blog will earn them a wee commission to help them keep snarkin’….
Another friend who has a blog herself uses this Amazon link and makes a nice little sum off of it. Good idea and one you should incorporate boyz, especially since you have begun the ‘library’ tab.
Would her name be Barbara? Am nosey!
Nope…it’s Kim
Gotcha! Thanks!
These (in their own words)?

I knew y’all would know! I’m (temporarily) caught up!
I was just reading the transcript from his radio show interview. Here’s the link for anyone who missed it. Very, very interesting!

I wish I knew her so I can tell them to take it down, but I don’t think it’s a bad picture at all.
Well, Michael Steele is coming to Albuquerque today and I’m supposed to be part of the group to meet and greet him.
He’s a mixed bag, in my opinion, though I was happy to see him defend Christine O’Donnell and tell the eeyores to shut up, and I’m going to tell him that.
The Times weighs in on Rahm:

ACK!
It took me a minute to realize that this is K …as K!
YAY!
These socialists know Obama is a One Hit Wonder. They are leaving the sinking ship and looking for other ways to make money.
Well, here’s more evidence of the DOJ senior officials trying to keep Coates from testifying.

Local issues on my mind today. I’m wondering more and more how it is that in Massachusetts, in a year where Scott Brown won the seat previously filled by Ted Kennedy, and Governor Deval Patrick was last in the country in approval ratings, a year when Barney Frank faces an opponent that gives him pause, the best candidate the GOP can put forward is a guy who worked on the Big Dig financing, Harvard Pilgrim healthcare, has pretty-boy/country club looks, comes across as quintessential rich boy Cocktail Party-type, and has some positions to the left of the Independent running against him. And then chooses a running mate who’s 100% pro-choice. Spends more time fundraising than campaigning and now can’t seem to capitalize on his opponent’s staff leaving the race to support him against the incumbent governor.
THIS is why it’s dangerous to perpetuate the myth that only a moderate Republican can win in MA. That’s what the left wants you to think, but it’s not the position of many, many voters. So, when they give us more blech, people can’t get behind the guy. I don’t believe they would support a Pat Buchanan Republican, but a Chris Christie Republican would walk away with this race. Frustrating!!
Assume many of you here red RedState, but for those that don’t….some background ‘ammunition’ on the cuke group pushing Thune:

Okay, my day is going to be full today…geesh…you’ve gone from nothing last summer to a GI-normous amount of content! It’s going to take me all day.
I’ll be you never thought you’d see the day that people complained there was TOO much content on HB! Ha ha.
I’m not really complaining though. I need to stop reading so much on Facebook anyway!
This site is much better than Facebook, and I’m related to and love some of them. But I am spending much time here I have no time for Facebook. No worries though, I’ll see them on the holidays when they come for dinner.
I had just seen the Red State piece on Sen. Thune. Erickson didn’t call him a cucumber sandwich, but he might as well have done so. I remember Thune, several years ago, let everyone down when he could have shown some spine, and didn’t. It was then I knew that a pretty face was not enough to do it for him. Even Sarah needs more than a pretty face; fortunately, she has more. It is now substance over style for me.
From GeorgeWBush FB fape:
George W. Bush Earlier this week, The Bush Institute announced our education initiative, The Alliance to Reform Education Leadership, or AREL. AREL is focused on enhancing the achievement of America’s children by improving the performance of America’s school principals. Even after being out of office these good people continue to work very hard for causes they ‘honestly’ believe in.
I miss them.
LOL!! These economists are such cut-ups.
From the Slimes:
At the 8:30 staff meeting in the Roosevelt Room this morning, departing chief of staff Rahm Emanuel was given a gift by Council of Economic Advisers chair Austan Goolsbee: a dead Asian carp
Classy!
Rahm “dead fish” Emanuel.

Remember the poem “Casey at the bat”. This is a new updated version.
It’s great, and features Sarah Palin as the pitcher. You’ll like it I think. I did.
What is on my mind today is “Am I crazy? or is anyone else feeling this way?
I had lunch yesterday with some former co-workers, who I thought I really liked, was excited to see them, got dressed up, enjoyed our conversation and then politics came up…..I left the lunch and on the was home was really disappointed – feeling that I didn’t really care about them as much as I thought I had due to their political associations. It’s almost as if I really do not desire to keep up friendships or relationships with people who do not have the same ideas as me. And trust me, I am not a right wing kook, but more of a moderate who is seeing this country headed in the wrong direction way too fast.
One’s political views can reveal a lot about their character. It can be very difficult to be friends with people whose values are repulsive to you. It takes a lot of patience and when you are feeling “ganged up on,” it can be near impossible. It is good to interact with people who have opposing points of view, but you don’t need to be surrounded by them. We all need affirmation, too.
If you do want to remain friends, the best thing you can do is to be as honest as possible about your feelings. When we hide the way we are feeling, it tends to create an emotional wall between us and the people we care about. You might just tell them that you felt really uncomfortable discussing politics in that setting and it’s not something that you do. Hopefully, they’ll understand and respect your wishes.
No Deb, you are not crazy. There are many of us going through this exact thing these days. When you believe in something and let your principles lead you to a decision, one that others disagree with it become difficult. In times like this it becomes harder to find any common ground with folks that to us often seem delusional, leading to feelings such as you are having. If they are true friends you will likely find your way back to each other. My very dearest friend and I disagree, heatedly, on many things, politics included. We will often find ourselves loudly and very vocally disagreeing (to put it mildly). Then one of us will laugh and say that is enough for today….we’re never going to change each other’s minds but I love ya gal. And the subject is changed…for now. But she and I are BFF, have been for 20 years, so we have too many other things to fall back on and both know it will take more than whatever the argument was centered on to get between us. I KNOW she is an idiot about this, and she knows I am….so we can laugh about it between us. If they are truely part of your heart, they ever will be. If not then such differences could cause a cooling to your relationship. Put it in it’s place. If it’s not really of importance to you then why be upset about it? It’s all a matter of degree….does this relationship actually matter? If so, then acknowledge your differences, laugh and carry on. If not, shrug it off and move along to someone that really does.
I had friends of 30+ years that stopped talking to us 2 yrs ago. They just about threw us out of their house for talking about the fraud in the housing market and who was to blame. I knew they were liberal dems but, it was eye opening. So we hope and pray some day they see the light.
And i have my darling daughter who has completely shut me out of her life…she just can’t deal with Mom’s whacko views right now.
But she has no problem telling NPR about it….yup, that’s my Charlotte.
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=130041351
i can relate, it pains me that a DD of mine has no interest in politics at all..sez the entire system is corrupt and wants no part in it..but she does listen to my rants!
I understand exactly how you feel. The sad thing for me is that it’s occurring with very good friends. Being in the Chicago area, the majority of my friends are Democrats. I’ve lived here over 30 years. I’ve been through many elections with these friends and never felt this “distancing” that I feel since Ø became the Øne. I’m finding that those I used to be able to discuss politics with are ultra sensitive to any criticism of the Boy King. Their feelings get so hurt, or they get sarcastic and angry. Hey – I had to live through 8 years of all the crap they had to say about Bush which was totally supported by the LSM and Hollywood and less than 2 years into “their guy’s” term and they can’t handle it, even with the LSM and Hollywood support they get. I’ve felt very ostracized and I’m feeling like the friendships are not as important as they used to be and that makes me sad.
There is something very divisive going on in this country and it is mean and nasty. Like a nana nana nana – we won. More so than ever before. I really truly like being around like minded people and feel, unfortunately, that it may be worth giving up some friendships.
When a fish smells, it starts at the head. You’ve now got the president of the United States calling out citizens for disagreeing with him. It’s as if he thinks he can beat us into submission. He is also calling out news commentators by name when they criticize him. To say this man is acting “unpresidential” is understating the obvious. He is the most divisive personality that has ever led this country. And he’s doing it in a classroom of Jr. high yesterday!!! One kid is yawning like he’s bored out of his head. The one thing I thought he would do is to try to charm the country. He must have left his charm gene in Chicago.
“Quite frankly” (as Velma Hart is fond of stating to open an argument), we owe it to ourselves – to our self-respect and emotional well-being – to be frank and firm in our conservative beliefs. Like RINO pols and pundits, we have been going-along-to-get-along much to long, and it hasn’t gotten us anywhere. If friends and family members are not willing to tolerate our honest conservative beliefs, why should we feel obliged to tolerate their liberal/leftist beliefs?
And if we do not politely tell our liberal friends that there may well be something radically wrong with their thinking, what will cause them to start to doubt and question their own political “religion”?
Like it or not, the November 2nd general election will mark indelibly a watershed, no longer between the traditional Democrat/Republican nexus, but between the liberal/Marxist/islamophiliac political camp versus the conservative/free market/islamophobic camp. There isn’t a fence between the competing camps that we can sit on comfortably, politically or socially, so we will have to decide whom we want to live with and whom we want to live without.
Same issue at work? We should keep our opinions to ourselves there, because our jobs are more important than shallow political debate around the water cooler.
My husband just came home with a bouquet of flowers, for no reason! I’m happy.
Carl Paladino will be on Fox in a few, I hope he kicks butt.
Oh Moe, unexpected and surprise flowers are the very best ever! All you men take note…..for NO REASON. What a great day you are going to have now…enjoy!
Yes…and they don’t have to be roses. Mixing it up is good. Try something different and exotic.
The man should be cloned.
What a guy!!! Give him a hug for all the ladies here. We love the surprises.
I’m so lucky to have him, and my family thought I was crazy. Jokes on them though after 19 years. Thanks everyone!
from Byron York at The Washington Examiner:
A GOP unknown [Sean Bielat] is in striking range of Barney Frank
http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/politics/A-GOP-unknown-is-in-striking-range-of-Barney-Frank-1063388-104114343.html#ixzz1180nt5J8
we need to send this guy some money, i’ll donate..how about a money bomb..we just have to see barney go down in flames!
Marie,
A few days ago neoneocon praised Bielat on a thread and recommended a money bomb. Don’t know if it caught fire there, but it should.
Adding: Here’s an essay by Byron York on Sean’s excellent chances:
http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/politics/A-GOP-unknown-is-in-striking-range-of-Barney-Frank-1063388-104114343.html
At the moments Sean is running 10 points behind a well known and powerful incumbent; and has raised $600,000 compared to Frank’s millions. Some outside support is called for.
I saw this…have to pay bills tomorrow, trying to find a way to send a few $ to fire Frank…the last time I made a small donation in MA, Scott Brown won so what the heck, I’ll empty the coin jar for a few bucks. Please join me if you can.
YIPEE. I just received and email from the United Methodist Church that they have withdrawn support for the march on DC tomorrow, They were unaware of the the marxist and communist groups co-sponsoring the march. They must have gotten more letters than mine about it. Either that or I am one powerful b!tch.
You go b*tch!!
Right on! Good for you!
See? We can make a difference no matter how large or how small if we speak up. Hillbuzz has turned us into a well oiled machine. We are doing what we are inspired to do and what fits our skills. But we are all doing something. Yea Hillbuzzers!!
I am working Tuesday and Wednesday next week making calls for Runyan against Adler. The RNCC has just started running ads for him. Obviously they think they can win this one or the money would not be there for him.
I can’t wait until Sarah formally announces her candidacy and I can find a campaign committee and start working for her! I’m in need of being around some politically like-minded people. I’m surround by Øbots where I live.
Sarah’s political items will soar. T-shirts, bumper stickers, buttons…The blessed day she announces it will be a politico-social-economic earthquake!
I’m helping a local candidate so I had to go to headquarters today. What did I hear about Sarah? You know you can guess it because the Boyz have already told us —— “She’s too polarizing.” Yup. Honest to God. That’s what was said.
Run, Sarah, run!!!
What is needed is MORE polarizing! There has been altogether too much RINO appeasement of the leftists in power.
I’m betting on a Palin Presidential-Bid announcement to be delivered on Reagan’s Birthday. . .
February 6th, 2011
It’s Super Bowl Sunday.
K – I’m glad to see you posting under your own name and with your very cheeky gravatar! Glad you came out of the shadows. Let those who seek to do you injustice lurk around in the dark!!
I’m dreaming with the day I see Michelle Bachmann with her gavel behind Obama. Please no John Boerhner. That creepy idiot with an ugly tan will mess things up. We need a conservative WOMAN there.
Totally agree! Boehner is a solid conservative, but he is a professional politician. New blood is needed in positions of power in the RNC and in Congress.

Still finding out what’s in it, like Nancy Pelosi said.
This was from a Reuters piece. http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE68T67120100930
My favorite quote from talk radio yesterday: Mark Levin’s interview with Gloria Allred.
“Are you trying to tell me that with 12 million illegal aliens this one just happens to walk into your office?”
Allred was trying to make it sound like Whitman’s maid was not directed to her by any Brown associate.
Kelly Ayotte has a double digits lead over her Obamacare oponent!
McCain appeared with her in the Sean Hannity show.
Sarah endorsed Ayotte.
Sarah was McCain running mate in 2008.
McCain did beat Romney in New Hamphire by 9 pints in 2008.
SARAH JUST WON THE NEW HAMPHIRE PRIMARY!!!!!
Here is Mark Levin’s interview with Sarah Palin tonight. I loved every single minute.

I can’t wait for someone to post the video where Greta just shredded Gloria Allred. Only thing that could have made it better would have been to have Gov. Christie in the background with pom poms.
I have watched Greta for years, true crime fascinates me. Never have I seen her rip anyone like that. Gloria seemed surprised too, good.
That was the bestest smackdown I have seen in a long time. Good one Greta. Bout time someone put that biatch in her place.
She called the baby ugly, and dissected the true agenda of the liberal attack on Whitman.
Best thing I have watched in a while.
And, here it is. Greta was perfection.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utL6L_ByCgs&fs=1&hl=en_US]
sybilll, I agree. I have never been prouder of Greta.
She was on fire. You could tell Allred was shocked that Greta knew exactly what she was up to, and called her on it.
Then when Allred mentioned ‘Fox’, Greta just about flew out of her seat and said, ‘Don’t you dare try that with me,’ or words to that effect.
Game. Set. Match…Van Sustern.
Has anyone seen this? Rick Sanchez fired from CNN for comments made about Jews:

Unhinged as usual, the “linkse kerk” (the “church of the left,” as the amalgam of the usual suspects is known here) is gearing up for full-bore opposition. I’ll keep an eye on further developments.
