Friday Open Thread: November 6th, 2009

What’s on your mind this Friday?

******

Here’s a great article on the NYC Mayor’s race that Bloomberg came very close to losing. Why? Because black voters are RAAACISTS, that’s why.

The article posits that the MSM is way off, yet again, claiming New Yorkers are against unlimited terms for mayors or don’t like incumbents. The real reason Bloomberg almost lost is because there are a large number of black voters in NYC and Bloomberg ran against a black candidate…and blacks race-vote whenever a black candidate is on the ballot.

If Republicans were smart, they would learn from this and heavily recruit black candidates to run in heavily minority districts…black voters don’t seem to see an R or a D at the end of a name so much as they see the color of a person’s skin and side with whoever most looks like them.

The MSM won’t talk about this, because then it would have to cop to black RAAACISM, but it’s true.

Vice President Steele on the ticket in 2012 could be just the thing that steals some of the black vote from Dems, or at the very least keeps some black voters at home, as they’ll figure “we’ll win either way…have a black president or VP, at least we got one of our guys in there”.

Republicans need to smarten up and start using black RAAACISM against liberal Democrats…it sure looks like they could take down non-black Dems in any district with high black percentages if the Republicans run a viable black candidate in those races.

That could be an ingenious way to use black RAAACISM against Democrats for once, instead of allowing Dems to effectively employ it against Republicans whenever they please.

******

Here’s a video the MSM is going to try to quash, and that the White House won’t want you to see, because it shows the shooter at the Army base dressed up in Muslim garb yesterday morning, before he committed his terrorist act upon a military base, killing many.

Islam is at war with the Western world.

Islam is not a religion that needs to be respected.

Islam is an imperialistic, totalitarian, violent cancer masked in the guise of a religion.

All over America, every day, Muslims meet in hotel ballrooms, in mosques, in conference centers, and private homes to talk about how much they hate America, how much they despise our society and culture, and how much they want to kill as many Westerners as possible in the name of Allah.  This all goes on in full view of our government, right under the noses of the MSM, private citizens, and everyone else who does not want to pay attention.

If anyone dares question what Muslims are up to, they are branded RAAACISTS and liberal dhimmis attack those who are trying to defend us from this fifth column on our own shores.

Just imagine if the Germans had done this in WWII, and had been as open and blatant as Muslims in their hatred for the US and their plots to kill as many innocents as possible. Would we have allowed Nazis to meet in ballrooms to preach hate and rile impressionable followers to plot acts of mass destruction?  Not likely.

Years before 9/11, we used to say how surprised we were that Muslims had never pulled off one of their big attacks and flown hijacked planes into buildings.  We thought that would be obvious for them, since Muslims had been taking over planes since the 70s…but they hadn’t weaponized them.  It was only a matter of time.

The actions of this Muslim in the Army yesterday reminds us of something else that’s only a matter of time, that no one wants to talk about:  just imagine if terrorists organized and hit one location in every state, on the same day, at roughly the same time, with something like this.

Look how this one attack in Texas is making news…what if they did this not at an Army base, but at a grade school, grocery store, or shopping mall?

If they did it in two or three states a day, every day, for a week, they would completely destroy our economy as every parent would be terrified of letting their children go to school…which would mean parents would have to stay home from work…and businesses wouldn’t function.

They could so easily make Americans terrified to leave their homes…and with only a rudimentary understanding of our MSM, they’d see that Liberals would go out of their way to protect Islam while roiling the terror people felt to up the network’s ratings.  The news cycle on one of these Muslim attacks on US soil is HUGE…it will be talked about for weeks.

Just imagine if they hit us again and again and again…like the Germans in WWII with the Blitz that almost broke London.

With 24/7 news and the likes of Olbermann, Matthews, and Maddow on the air and Dr. Utopia, apologist and first president to ever bow to the Saudi king, in the White House, we don’t see how society would hold together.

Muslims will do this to us one day, and we don’t know of an effective counter to it.  They are plotting and scheming things like this, right under our noses, but of course it’s politically incorrect to talk about it because the MSM line is that “Islam is a peaceful religion” and “Muslims are like Care Bears”, so misunderstood.

That reminds us of the idiot Timothy Treadwell, “The Grizzly Man”, who met a grizzly death, killed by the wild animals he insisted were not a threat, who he believed in his deluded liberal mind were “cute and cuddly”.

What’s going on in all those mosques in America is not cute and cuddly.

Someday, people are going to need to wake up and realize that.

Days like yesterday should be a wakeup call.

I read a very concerning article from Reuters recently, which postulated that DOCTORS are part of the health care problem.

According to the article, doctors tend to set up shop in and around affluent areas rather than poor areas (shocking!). It also claimed that health care costs were actually higher in areas with larger concentrations of doctors as opposed to areas with fewer doctors.

These statistics are all well and good, but the tone of the article was extremely telling. The author was heavily insinuating that doctors were to blame for poor folks being unable to get adequate care, and the obvious insinuation was that the government would need to “do something” about the “inequal distribution” of doctors.

It all sounds very Soviet in nature — telling doctors where they can or cannot set up shop — and also sounds totally plausible in the Pelosi/Reid/Obama “Utopia” that may lie before us.

Leaving the country with a massive shortage of doctors… hello Soviet Union! We already have a mechanism in place for evaluating students’ future careers – several mechanisms, actually! It would be a minor step to then decide on behalf of the students which career field they should enter. I mean… no doctors would be an ENORMOUS emergency! The government wouldn’t WANT to force people into professions, but it’s for the GREATER GOOD of our society!

I’ve thought for years that attacks on malls and other “normal” places would likely be more damaging than so called “high profile” targets. Make normal people think they aren’t safe and the damage to morale will be huge. It’s easy to think “I don’t live/work in a big target, so I’m safe” and go about life relatively normally. Take that away and we have a big problem.

On the flip side, the US is not Europe and I think the backlash would be huge, at least in parts of the country. I wonder sometimes if this is why is hasn’t been done yet – because the backlash would derail the creep of Islamization that is happening anyway through lawfare and political correctness.

But I agree that it will happen here eventually. And the first suicide bomber in the US is going to change this country forever.

      I hear ya, Stacee!

The left wing here would say that all we have to do is put enough “COEXIST” bumper stickers on our car and Utopia will descend upon us on its own.

The Dome of the Rock is iconic for the whole dilemma and why “COEXIST” hasn’t, doesn’t and will not ever register in a Muslim’s brain (I’m assuming that they have one for the sake of argument). The Al-Aqsa mosque is built ON TOP of the most Holy Building (the Temple Mount) in Jewish history. It’s *ON TOP* of it!

Does this not sum up the intransigence of Muslims and their fanaticism to never compromise with any other faith? The recognition of htis fact should cause all “COEXIST” bumper sticker adherents to go out and buy an assault weapon right now.

“Coexist” this! Islam is evil to the core. I’m LIVID that even after Hasan was heard expressing support for radical Muslims, no one took away his gun and locked him up.

WTF? Was the army afraid they’d be called “intolerant” by politicians? Again, just like with 9/11, this is a terrible breach of national security.

And you know that I am a libertarian: legalize pot and spousal rights for gays. To that I add, no mercy for fundamentalist Islamic extremists. Where the hell are the “good American Muslims,” who should be speaking out AGAINST their radical brethren!

I agree with you about the video of the shooter that proves he’s a Muslim. It’s a bit like when people talk about “Asian” rioting and stirring shit in places like England or France. Newsflash: the (non Uighur) Chinese, the Japanese, or even the Hundus and Sikhs aren’t the problem.

Yes, I know a lot of Muslims who are very decent people. I’m sure we all do. But the Koran – and the Haditha and Sunnah, which you have to accept as equal – does approve of terrorism. And misogyny. And racism. And homophobia. There is no place in Islam for a secular society. (BTW, has anyone noticed that the libs throwing hissy fits over “separation of church and state have nothing to say about Islam?)

Pretending that it doesn’t is just stupid and patronising. Islamic terror is the main problem. Pandering to Islamic stupidity just emboldens the “extremists” (who simply follow their religion) and patronises the “moderates” by implaying that they’re too hyper sensitive and/or violent to take normal criticism.

Interesting concept that the close race was BECAUSE of race. Did Keith Olberman call the voters in NY racist when Bloomberg won…just wondering because last evening he spouted his racist theory regarding the people at the protest yesterday in DC. My husband and our dog Lou made that trip sans moi…they drove down. According to Olberman all those racist had buses supplied…yep, that is true, many did come by bus, but they paid for their seats. The cost, in our area was anywhere from $25.00 to $49.00, depending on the area you left from….but Olberman, holding to the “new” News caveat , which is, never let the facts get in the way of a story…aka lie through your teeth decided they were all bused in by some mega organization of racist. It’s hard to believe, but he and MSNBC slimed the American people more than normal. Aside from the cameraman finding one sign that was offensive, and panning on it several times, Olberman decided that because the crowd seemed predominantly “White”, they therefore, were racist. My husband said there were Blacks in attendance, just not as many as Whites. Olberman’s cameraman just didn’t chose to film them. Racism is not only alive in Post Obama election America, but it is being cultivated.

Honestly, my attitude is “go ahead and pick & choose what you want to cover, lie, distort, etc., but watch out, the American people will only believe you until you attack them with your lies”. In their arrogance they will fall.

Why is it that people feel that minorities need to be in attendance in the same number as whites in order to prove it’s not a racist issue? How about asking if black Americans were in attendance in the same proportion as their % of the population in the US? (Approximately 13.5%) In my mind – if the percentage was 1/3 of that, it means that this is not a white issue.

It’s such a GREAT think to know that the election of Dr. U means we are now a post-racial society.

While I can acknowledge that most Muslims want to go about their daily lives without making any trouble for anyone, the same could have been said of citizens of Nazi Germany, Soviet Union, or Imperial Japan (most didn’t want to send their neighbors to concentration camps, the Gulag, etc.). The problem is a huge conflict of ideology, and one side’s willingness to promote integration and tolerance, and the other’s not wanting it at all.

Sorry, after I made my comment on the NY “race” issue, I felt that the video from CNN really deserved a comment. Do you think Hasam went on base dressed in his “traditional” Muslim garb? Do you think he treated returning veterans while so dressed? Was he dressed that way yesterday when he went on base? If so, no wonder he had verbal conflict with the others in the Service, assuming those reports were accurate. The recent event where a Muslim father ran over his daughter because she was becoming too Western, the Muslim soldier in the 101st who threw the grenade into a tent filled with his fellow soldiers, the attack on the two soldiers outside the recruiting office, plus yesterdays wholesale slaughter of our soldiers by another Muslim, flies in the face of our being told how peaceful this religion is. It was the religion that spurred that Muslim father to ran over his daughter…and it was Hasam’s religion that created his lack of loyalty to the soldiers and the profession Hasam has enjoyed since 1997. Even CAIR denounced Hasam yesterday….makes you wonder why they are distancing themselves from him. The other thing that makes me curious is why the unparalleled assault on Christianity, and why the kid gloves when it comes to Islam.

In a word: Taqqiyah. If it will advance the religion, Muslims are permitted to lie to non-believers. CAIR has been under pressure lately for their ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, and so they are trying to portray themselves as the innocents. I haven’t heard anything yet, but I’m fairly certain they’re already bleating that people must not succumb to “Islamaphobia”, and that Islam is the Religion of Peace.

    What a day yesterday was.

I was so proud to see the 20K plus Americans, who, in less than one week, organized busses (at teir own expense)and got to the Capitol steps for noon yesterday. A lot of R pols pandered to the crowd…but..they took notice!!! The voices were heard. I got to watch some on CSpan 3 (kinda like the Ben Stiller movie, DodgeBall…with events on ESPN8–The Ocho) on my computer @ work (hey…its CSpan!!)…

Then came the horror at Ft.Hood. The first reports made me think terrorism. When the ruluctance to name the perp was apparent, I thought Islamic terrorism. Sadly, right on both counts.

Shep Smith interviewed Kay Bailey Hutchinson (at around 5pm) the verbal gymnastics they both went thru to not name the perp (or any referencing of any ‘statements’ made by the shooter…apparently he was pretty loud with this Allah Akbar…and we can’t have THAT reported).

No. Can’t report anything thing that doesn’t portray the Religion of Peace bunch as anything less than as you so wonderfully characterize…CAIR Bears.

But, the end all and be all of how far we have sunk as a nation came in the form of the “STATEMENT” issued by our Dear Leader. Anybody else watch it live? Yes live…NOT the sound byte version…nope…the whole, ugly, narcisstic “speech?”

The Won, who was interrupted at some kind of Indian Affairs Health Care Pow Wow (I am sooooo RAAACIST) came to the mike, ON A DAY WHEN THE LARGEST MILITARY BASE IN OUR NATION WAS ATTACKED AND. MEMBERS OF OUR MILITARY DIED ON OUR SOIL and he gave (honest to G-d) SHOUT OUTS!?!?!?!?! (exact freaking term he used) to the organizers of the Indian Affairs event; mentioned health care reform…and then…about three plus minutes into his speechifying, he mentions the “violence” at Ft. Hood. He didn’t update any info; he didn’t look or sound like a C-i-C whose forces had been attacked; he spoke as though he was mentioning oh…the weather, or Malia’s science grade. I was surprised he didn’t give a “shout out” to the NYYankees before getting to the situation at Ft. Hood as well.

So there you have it. Terrorism isn’t terrorism (if the media says so) and we now have the Valley Girl in Chief who gives shout outs. Feel safe, go the Mall and buy a CAIR Bear to hug…

It must have been that they had a hard time putting it in the teleprompter. Someone slipped and put the “heart-felt” remarks in the middle, instead of in the beginning.

Enough with the PC garbage! This whole “religion of peace” stuff has gone too far and the caveats that are always applied. Well, when I see good old southern Baptists and staid Presbyterians doing suicide bombing runs while screaming “Praise Jesus!” then just maybe I might be convinced that its just about religion in general. But you know, you don’t see that at all do you?

All over the world, not just in the US, you’ve got terrorists that “just happen to be Muslim” blowing stuff up and shooting people in the name of religion and we’re not supposed to say anything?

The scenario you hillbuzz guys paint is sadly all too possible. Low level easy to execute attacks in multiple locations, committed over and again would be paralyzing to the nations’ morale and horrifying to boot. What will it take before this insanity is stood up against?

I always wonder, though, why the far left is so besotted with Islam. Islam is horribly anti-woman and anti-gay. Remember Ahmadinijad saying at Columbia that there are no gays in Iran? That’s because the mullahs hang homosexuals.

Major Hasan is not typical of the Muslims I have known, but I have seen a few Muslims like him, all of whom choose to be in this country despite their hatred for us. A few of them are in positions where they can, not only pull out a gun and attack individuals, but are in positions where they can attack vital infrastructure. They expect all kinds of concessions to their religious practices and know how to manipulate the system to their advantage. I don’t understand why some of these situations are allowed to exist. It’s suicidal really and the sane, balanced, nonfanatical immigrants from Muslim countries and other countries as well are often the first to point out this obvious fact. These people are apparently not so concerned about political correctness.

As far as I’m concerned, Bloomberg and the City Council, usurped power from the people to obtain his third term. The people voted for term-limits, and their city council empowered themselves to circumvent the will of the people. Term-limits are not just for the people you don’t like. How anybody could, in good conscience, vote for the man, is beyond me. This is very scary stuff. The people should recall him, immediately.

Another question is whether the policeman who shot Nidal Hasan (I assume that he is of no relation to Baraq Hasan…) will be charged with a hate crime (the bill that Baraq Hasan just signed into law).

Some say that Islam had no bearing on this act of terrorism, however…http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091106/ap_on_re_us/us_fort_hood_shooting

He wasn’t a terrorist. He was simply a man causing a Man-Caused-Disaster. There is no such thing as a terrorist, and there is no war on terrorism anymore. The election of Dr. U and his world apology tour ended all that.

    Great Merciful Zeus!!!

NBC in Chicago is questioning the demeanor of The Won…relative to yesterday’s Bureau of Indian Affairs…how he was oddly detached; smiling, accepting applause; “shouting out” to AI Dem pol in the audience…THEN getting to Fort Hood?

The NBC talkers are questioning who is advising him…and then questioning “who needs advice to handle this well???”. I mean can’t we all agree, that he SHOULD have addressed Ft. Hood’s loss of life first?

I am posting from my phone, can anyone post a link???

Please remember the fallen in your prayers, the death toll is now at 13.

Wasn’t it Qaddaffi who said that Islam is taking over Europe with out firing a shot? It’s the Re-Reconquest going on.

    HOMELAND INSECURITY
    Shooter advised Obama transition
Fort Hood triggerman aided team on Homeland Security task force

    Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan
NEW YORK – Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, the alleged shooter in yesterday’s massacre at Fort Hood, played a homeland security advisory role in President Barack Obama’s transition into the White House, according to a key university policy institute document.

The Homeland Security Policy Institute at George Washington University published a document May 19, entitled “Thinking Anew – Security Priorities for the Next Administration: Proceedings Report of the HSPI Presidential Transition Task Force, April 2008 – January 2009,” in which Hasan of the Uniformed Services University School of Medicine is listed on page 29 of the document as a Task Force Event Participant.

Hasan received his medical degree from the military’s Uniformed Services University School in Bethesda, Md., in 2001.

Noting that the Obama administration transition was proceeding, the GWU Homeland Security Policy Institute report described on the first page the role of the Presidential Transition Task Force as including “representatives from past Administrations, State government, Fortune 500 companies, academia, research institutions and non-governmental organizations with global reach.”

While the GWU task force participants included several members of government, including representatives of the Department of Justice and the U.S Department of Homeland Security, there is no indication in the document that the group played any formal role in the official Obama transition, other than to serve in a university-based advisory capacity.

Daniel Kaniewski, deputy director of the Homeland Security Policy Institute at George Washington University affirmed to WND in a telephone interview this morning that the Nidal Hasan listed as attending the meetings of the HSPI Presidential Transition Task Force was the same person as the alleged shooter in the Fort Hood massacre.

Kaniewski said Hasan attended the meetings in his capacity as a member of the faculty of the Uniformed Services University School of Medicine, not as a member of the HSPI Presidential Task Force.

Kaniewski believed Hasan applied on the institute’s website to attend the meeting and was accepted because of his professional credentials.

Kaniewski could not tell WND whether or not Hasan made comments from the audience that influenced the task force recommendations or not.

He further confirmed Hasan had attended several meetings held by the Homeland Security Policy Institute at George Washington University and that the institute is currently searching conference records to see if it is possible to determine what additional institute conferences he attended.

    (Story continues below)

According to the “About Us” section of the GWU Homeland Security Policy Institute, the group is a “nonpartisan ‘think and do’ tank whose mission is to build bridges between theory and practice to advance homeland security through an interdisciplinary approach.”

The Homeland Security Policy Institute is led by Frank J Cilluffo, who formerly served in the White House as special assistant to President Bush for homeland security, and by Kaniewski, who formerly served in the White House as special assistant to President Bush for homeland security and senior director for response policy.

“Muslims should stand up and fight the aggressor,” Hasan said about America before he and possibly other Muslim soldiers at Fort Hood shot 43 fellow soldiers, killing 12, who were returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

“He said Muslims had a right to attack” the U.S., said Col. Terry Lee, who worked with Hasan at the Texas post, where the devout Sunni Muslim refused deployment. “He said Muslims shouldn’t be fighting Muslims,” he added. “He was very clear on that.”

According to an explosive new book, “Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That’s Conspiring to Islamize America,” Hasan is just the tip of a jihadist Fifth Column operating within the ranks of the U.S. military – which is too blinded by political correctness to see the threat.

It’s here now: Jihad in America! $4.95 today only! Save $15 on new DVD from makers of ‘Obsession’

Quoting from a classified military briefing, “Muslim Mafia” reveals that this Fifth Column has penetrated “every branch of the U.S. military.” The Islamist enemy has even infiltrated the al-Qaida detention camp at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Josie – thanks for the link. Here’s the thing – in order to be disconnected, he had to be connected in the first place. He displayed no sincerity because that would require humbleness, of which has none. It’s all about him and anything else not about him would have to wait for the gaps that can be filled in his teleprompter. He needed to play politics first, and then choked out the words about the Fort Hood murders and terrorist acts. Think about how the media would have played this were it G. W. Bush. The CIC would have been on the plane down to TX to show his support. These are actual people who have died Mr. Utopia! How many more lives need to be lost?

“…You take turns giving a lecture on, you know, the correct treatment of schizophrenia, the right drugs to prescribe for personality disorder, you know, that sort of thing. But instead of giving an academic paper, he gave a lecture on the Koran, and they said it didn’t seem to be just an informational lecture, but it seemed to be his own beliefs. That’s what a lot of people thought.

He talked about how if you’re a nonbeliever the Koran says you should have your head cut off, you should have oil poured down your throat, you should be set on fire. And I said well couldn’t this just be his educating you? And the psychiatrist said yes, but one of the Muslims in the audience, another psychiatrist, raised his hand and was quite disturbed and he said you know, a lot of us don’t believe these things you’re saying, and that there was no place where Hasan couched it as this is what the Koran teaches but you know I don’t believe it. And people actually talked in the hallway afterwards about ‘is he one of these people that’s going to freak out and shoot people someday?’”

Bawer’s book, While Europe Slept, is an alarming account of Moslems in various “liberal” countries in Europe. He is a gay guy who lives there and writes about the threatening attitude of Moslems towards gays in Europe. He also talks about the unwillingness of Moslems to assimilate into Western culture. It’s frigtening in Europe and I’m sad to say it is happening here too.

PUMAPAC has a great rant today about Islam and it’s treatment of women.

I disagree guys. I know the people’s republic of Illinois does not have guns, but the rest of us do. We have stockpiled them and the ammo to go with them and we are ready to defend ourselves. We will NOT cower in our houses like sheeple of New York. We will run them out street by street.
We are sick of liberals and their PC bull and just as with this government we have said enough! The blood of these people are on the hands of every lib screaming diversity and tolerance. This is what it gets you. They have pushed and pushed the military to be inclusive until they have violated their own better judgement on having these people in the military.

There is no place in the military for PC crap diversity and sensitivity training. It gets people killed.

When the leaders fail to lead it is the job of the people to lead the leaders.

How long will it take for the White House and MSM to start spinning the Ft. Hood perpetrator as someone who was just “mentally ill” and distraught over having to be deployed, and not the Muslim Extremist that he is.

He was put on probation during his training for proselytizing patients and colleagues.

Seriously! I’m listening to McHugh, and he’s talking about funding recvd for studying why soldiers go off, like Hasan did.

Save the money, McHugh, or give it to me: WHEN A SOLDIER STARTS TALKING SHIT, LIKE HASAN DID, TAKE AWAY HIS GUNS AND INCARCERATE HIM, either in prison or a mental health ward, as the case may be.

Now, pay me! And you can stop licking Utopia’s butt now….
