Things are getting interesting in Virginia!
ACORN has now resorted to suing voter registrars. This suit was brought by Project Vote, a subsidiary of ACORN. They were in Virginia a few months before the 2008 election, and about two months before the election 5-6 were actually sentenced to jail for voter fraud. They claim in the current lawsuit that a number of Norfolk State U. students were denied the right to vote. They just won this case to making voter registration applications public. Virginia's AG, Ken Cuccinelli, plans to appeal. He is one of the AGs leading the fight against ObamaCare as being unconstitutional. Go Cuccinelli!

Former Sen. John Edwards (D-N.C.) must repay the federal government millions of dollars in matching funds, the Federal Election Commission unanimously ruled Thursday.
In a 6-0 vote, the commission determined the former presidential candidate accepted excessive funds after dropping out of the Democratic primary in January 2008.
The vote came after an FEC audit of Edwards’s failed 2008 presidential campaign concluded that Edwards owed close to $2.3 million to the U.S. Treasury because he received federal matching funds “in excess” of what he was entitled to.

What I want to know is, when will the FEC audit and investigate all of the illegal contributions to the Obama (who is not a Muslim) campaign during the 2008 election cycle? It was in the news, it has been reported to them, they know about it, they have done nothing. Oh, that's right, risking being called a racist is worse than having integrity and doing the right thing. It is such a burden to be expected to do one's job, I guess.
The FEC had Obama's campaign under review, as M.U. R. (matter under review 6142). It seems that nothing ever came to fruition because although Obama took millions in untraceble pre-paid credit card contrabutions and was even caught taking money from Palestinians, which he had to give back, Obama and the democraps are accountable for NOTHING! That is why we must through all of these Marxistsocrats and their Cocktail Party Republican collaborators out of Washington and our local governments an into prison.

Obama DOJ takes elderly pro-life sidewalk counselor to court
Those who know Dick Retta describe him as a peaceful, prayerful man, who regards his sidewalk counseling outside the Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington as a ministry. Retta even conducts weekend training sessions to encourage other pro-life advocates to stand outside the facility to offer words of hope, encouragement and possibility to the young women who come and go from the abortion center. At these training sessions, one attendee says, he specifically emphasizes that the point of sidewalk counseling is not to block access, but, instead, to remind pregnant women that they do, in fact, have a choice other than abortion — and to offer post-abortion healing, as well, as few abortion centers prepare women for all of the possible emotional consequences of their decision.

I've been a follower here since before the last Presidential election. I remember when threads had hundreds of comments. Kevin's insights gave many of us (Conservative Christians) a new insight into the gay world, especially his trials as a gay Conservative.
As a senior (meaning on SS + pension), I contributed on a couple of occasions to the site transformation because I felt Kevin had a salient message that needed to be promoted. I still read this site daily.
However, I see this site as becoming a generic Conservative site, lacking the unique perspective that Kevin brought. And the posts on threads are generally under 20, showing a real drop-off in readership.
I think that those of us who have been long-time readers (OK, what I'm really saying is *I* am) looking for some assurance that Kevin is OK and will at some point return with his unique point-of-view.
Can you fill us in on what has been going on with him? Tell him we are concerned, and want him back.
I understand how you feel. I also miss Kevin and his unique views. This site probably has become a generic conservative site because I’m just a generic conservative. I can’t write about being gay because I’m not. I’m just a forty-something white female so all I can do is just try to keep things going until Kevin returns. He’s my dear friend and I owe him that. I have no idea when he’ll be back. He’s worked so hard on Hillbuzz and I don’t want to see it completely vanish but I am not a professional blogger and I do have a full time job so unfortunately..what you see is what you get. I promise to let you all know if I hear anything from Kevin. Thanks for sticking with Hillbuzz.

Obama is now on the news, beating on Boehner and the Republicans fort proposing spending cuts, not a tax increase. He insists that there be taxes. Of course, he wants a "balanced budget" for 2013 – after he's out of office.
I hope the House conservatives decide to keep the heat on. My husband's thoughts are that the politicians are afraid of a default because we the people will learn that we can get along without the government. He may be right.
