Fox News: Take Ron Paul Out Of Debates Unless He Endorses Romney
I think Fox News is more fair and balanced that Democrat-controlled media outlets like MSNBC, for example–but Fox News is, and always has been, part of the Cocktail Party GOP Establishment. So I wasn’t surprised that Chris Wallace spent much of this interview on Fox News Sunday asking Ron Paul about other candidates instead of his own positions.
During the interview, Ron Paul was asked if he would endorse the eventual nominee. Why even ask a candidate, this early, if he would endorse someone else? I think it’s part of an effort to further marginalize GOP Frontrunner Ron Paul, who’s #3 in donations among the GOP field, and has won more straw polls than all other GOP candidates, and is consistently polling in 3rd place in early primary states. GOP Frontrunner Ron Paul gets more donations from members of the active duty military than all other GOP candidates combined. This is despite the fact that Ron Paul gets only 2% of the coverage of the GOP field.
As part of the Cocktail Party GOP Establishment, Fox News is working to give the nomination to Mittens Romneycare. and Ron Paul knows this.
So, when Ron Paul was obliquely asked if he would endorse Mittens–the most unprincipled candidate in the race–the most principled GOP candidate in the race, Ron Paul, answered:
“…if they believe in expanding the wars, if they don’t believe in looking at the Federal Reserve, if they don’t believe in real cuts, if they don’t believe in deregulation, and a better tax system, it would defy everything I believe in, so therefore I would be reluctant to jump onboard and tell all the supporters that have given me trust and money… ‘all we’ve done is for naught,’ so let’s support anybody at all…even if they disagree with everything that we do….”
Last time I checked, this was the platform of the Tea Party. This is what all those Tea Party rallies were all about.
This concept of having “principles” is foreign to many people in today’s world, and it’s exceptionally rare among politicians (and nonexistent among the Democrat-controlled media).
So the talking heads on The Five, which is Fox News’ version of The View, just can’t wrap their heads around it.
Asking Ron Paul to endorse a candidate who wants to expand unconstitutional wars, unconstitutional government regulations, unconstitutional spending, and massive debt is like asking an Hasidic Rabbi to endorse the Hamas candidate. It’s like asking Coke to endorse Pepsi. It’s like asking Barack Obama to endorse George Washington.
So, if Ron Paul, and his supporters like me, simple won’t vote for Obama-Lite–if we won’t endorse a candidate who will take the country over the cliff at 65 miles an hour versus 80 miles an hour–then the talking heads on The Five think that Ron Paul doesn’t deserve to be a candidate for the GOP nomination.
Members of The Five get themselves into quite a snit over Ron Paul having principles. After all, “all the other conservative candidates” say they’ll support whoever is nominated. Well, except for Jon Huntsman, who isn’t a conservative.
They wring their hands over the “solid 7%” of Ron Paul voters who refuse to vote for whatever Obama Lite, It’s His Turn, John McCain II, Cocktail Party Establishment GOP candidate the media shoves down our throats. (Hint to Fox News: it’s a hell of a lot bigger than 7%. NO real conservatives can stand Mittens Romneycare. But you already knew that, didn’t you?)
And one of The Five actually says that unless Ron Paul will go along to get along, abandon his principles, spit in the face of the servicemen and women who support him, and feed the Constitution into the shredder, he shouldn’t be allowed in any more debates.
How many times do I have to say it?
Don’t let the media pick your candidate for you!

I sure disagree with your headline. Andrea Tantaros said take him out of the debate. She is one contributor on FNC. I wish you would correct to say: Andrea Tantaros on FNC said this on air.
I get so mad at Media Matters and others who always say: "Fox News says" (in banner headlines) when it is one analyst or contributor who has said something. And then you have a headline like they do.
Did you watch the clip?
Did you notice how 100% of those with an opinion agreed that GOP Frontrunner Ron Paul needed to “get with the program” or “go away?”
Including the DEMOCRAT?
I saw the show and your headline says "Fox News says" that if Ron Paul doesn't endorse ROMNEY, take him out of the debates. That is totally untrue. They were talking about who the nominee of the Republicans eventually is. I don't think most of the opinion people like Romney that much. Romney won't go on O'Reilly. He won't go on Special Report center seat. He won't go on Hannity. I think he's even been dodging Greta. And Hume, Baier and the other more straight news try to play it fair.
Generally, what they are all saying is that the losers in a party's primary and caucus contests all agree to endorse the winner and unite the party. Does Ron Paul want four more years of Obama? Almost anyone is preferable to Obama. Andrea was kind of trying to make a point: Is he a Republican or not? If he can't endorse the eventual Republican nominee over Obama, he's not much of a Republican. He may not get everything he wants but it's better than what we have now.
Even Teddy Kennedy gave a lukewarm endorsement of Carter. And Hillary endorsed Obama. What a bitter pill that was for her to swallow.
Newt has said in the debates that all of us here will unite behind the eventual winner. I guess Paul is the exception.
Ron Paul is the exception in a whole lotta ways.
So, are you saying that Romneycare isn't the "frontrunner?" I appreciate the fact that you're not allowing the Democrat-Controlled Media to pick your candidate for you.
However, you simply can't deny the fact that the Democrat-Controlled Media started calling Mittens Romneycare the "GOP Frontrunner" over a year ago, and has never stopped, despite the fact that he is loathed by virtually all Tea Party voters, true conservatives, and libertarian-leaning GOP voters.
I personally think that "saving the United States of America" is more important than "uniting the Cocktail Party GOP," but your mileage may vary.
Is Mittens Romneycare better than what we have now? The economy would still continue to collapse, and then the Democrat-Controlled Media would have the advantage of blaming the whole mess on Republicans.
Is that what you really want?
Yeah I noticed long ago that Fox is strongly pushing for Romney as a station as a whole and not just one or two anchor nutjobs. Listen to all the attacks they do, Romney is spared the least and is always given the benefit of doubt.
Since the Saudi Royal family bought massive shares of New Corp. (and Bloomberg press) we can exspect to see a more progressive pro-polygamist cult disguised as a religion slant. In other words hey will be supporting Romney just like all the other progressives.
I think that it would be wise for the true conservative candidates and for conservative voters to announce in no uncertain terms that they will not support a progressive like Romney or Huntsmann.
It is better that the cocktail party republican establishment is awoken now to what they might be doing by supporting Romney. I would be hesitant to vote in the primary for a candidate who would support anyone with a (R) after thier name. What I loved most about the V.P. candidate Sarah Palin is that she was above party politics. She would not support Murkowskis just because they were republican because she knew they were corrupt. Romney is corrupt and a globalist just like the damocrats and the establishment republicans or neo-conservatives. I like that Ron Paul is holding his ground. He belongs in the debates much more than Romney does.
I hate that Fox replaced Glenn Beck with "The Jive." Bob Beckel is the perfect example of a failed man who is jealous and wants to share his missery, just as socialism is a failed system of jealousy and shared misery.
