Feel Good Story of the Day: 3 Muslims Convicted in Honor Killings
With so much going on in the political arena here in the US, I thought I’d take a moment to praise our neighbors to the north for doing the right thing. Yesterday a Canadian jury convicted an Afghan man, his wife and his son of murdering 3 teenage sisters and a second wife. In Canada, first degree murder carries an automatic life sentence without the possibility of parole for 25 years. Apparently, the 3 monsters killed the sisters and the wife for dishonoring the family by acting wild….such as wanting to use the Internet, dressing like normal women and God forbid…wanting to date. The 3 claim that it was an accident that caused the car to plunge into a canal while the they stood by and watched. The four victims drowned in the frigid water.
(FOX) After the verdict was read, the three defendants again declared their innocence in the killings of sisters Zainab, 19, Sahar 17, and Geeti, 13, as well as Rona Amir Mohammad, 52, Shafia’s childless first wife in a polygamous marriage.
Their bodies were found June 30, 2009, in a car submerged in a canal in Kingston, Ontario, where the family had stopped for the night on their way home to Montreal from Niagara Falls, Ontario.
Good for the Canadians for not considering Sharia law.
Justice was served.

when will we learn??? I lived in NY when that creep upstate who owned a TV channel beheaded his wife when she tried to divorce him for abuse—not a single mention of his religion, but the beheading part tipped the hand. His kids despise him of course and he only got second degree and showed no remorse. i hope the inmates administer the justice he escaped in our system.
What a sad story. The youngest was only 13! And from what I've read, her only issue was that she was playing with barbie dolls.
What I don't understand is if these people want to live under Shariah law, why are they even moving to a western country?!?!
Why not just stay in their muslim countries where murders like these are allowed and looked upon with approval.
Why come here and live in western societies???!?!

It's called conquest. The goal is a global caliphate, and they won't get that if they stay in their own countries.
Personally, I think it's going to be interesting when they try it in California, having to fight for control with The People that are coming up from south of the border…
Tragic! I think they (as in radical muslims) not only want to live under sharia law, they want to export it worldwide. They use our tolerance of other viewpoints and our civil liberties to impose their beliefs on the rest of us.
A reporter on America Live on Fox said that these young ladies told anyone who would listen to them that they were afraid of their father and brother. They begged for help! No one helped them.WHY???
Because they were afraid of being called "RACIST" against Muslims!!!!
Those people should be in jail!

What a shameful statement. You are apparently unaware of how hard Canadians are fighting for their country, just as we are.
Thanks for sharing this Kevin. Shafia is a wealthy businessman and there will no doubt be numerous appeals but hopefully this sends a clear message to the muslim community that this kind of barbaric behaviour will not be tolerated in Canadian society. As Justice Robert Maranger put it, "It's difficult to conceive of a more heinous, more despicable, more honourless crime."

Oh, Canada! I'm so proud to have you as a neighbor. Always have been, actually. Well, not actually always. I was very young when Gordon Sinclair gave his radio address and knew nothing of politics and world events. When I heard the recording, though, it forever tied me to Canada, our very steadfast friend.

When Obama and the Democrats want to decimate our military might, keep in mind that it is our military who are the first responders to disasters such as Katrina in New Orleans, tsunami in Indonesia, the earthquake in Haiti, etc. It was our military who provided the food and aid and medical care and hospital ships. They got through when no one else could. It is our military who saves the citizens of our enemy countries from the pirates of Somalia because it's the right thing to do.
When Newt talks about big dreams, this will give you a bit of history. American exceptionalism cannot die.
You know, the more these pieces of dirt are prosecuted, the more they will think twice about committing these crimes. God bless Canada. The US justice dept needs to grow some.
The verdict was even better then that… Not only did he do the slap down, the Judge made a statement, that this is a real problem, and a real threat.
