Dear Bristol ~
Where do I begin? Each time I start, I tear up ~ you have made me that proud!
Your beauty and grace and courage under fire; your kindness, sweetness, and vulnerability in your dancing; the respect you show the judges, even when they have been unreasonably critical of you, and even when their scores have been unwarranted; the joy and delight on your face when you do impress them, mingled still with humility; your beautiful work ethic ~ your character so shines when you perform.
Whenever I see you, I think she is so beautiful and lovely, both inside and out ~ Bristol, your are such a lovely person ~ precious in both our sight and God’s ~ much joy to you, always!

You are a class act & a role model for all ages. I thank you for having the courage to step on on the DWTS floor knowing that your every move would be watched & scrutinized by the haters. However, I hope you know that your supporters far outnumber the haters. May you and Mark stay friends for life and may God bless you, Mark & your families.
PS — I hope you can visit Chattanooga someday!
Dear Bristol,
You have done a great job handling all the publicity with grace. I cannot dance AT ALL, so I give you a lot of credit trying something new in front of the whole country! I voted for the first time ever last night, and all 5 of my votes went to you! I hope you win it!
Dear Bristol, you are one of us, the common and the ordinary. And now you have shown the world just how awesome ‘ordinary’ is. Girl – you didn’t just do yourself proud, you did proud for all of us. God bless you and thanks. We owe you one.
Dear Bristol -
What she said too!
Bristol, you made America proud over the past weeks. You showed steady improvement from week to week. That is definitely something to be proud of. You have shown the country what dignity and class really mean. God Bless you Bristol!

Ditto what 56Survivor said, Bristol the Pistol.
Dear Bristol,
You are truly a courageous young lady. I’ve enjoyed watching you mature as a person under pressure and as a ballroom dancer.
Warm regards and best wishes for your future… Pete
P.S. Bristol, the next time you see Lisa (Ice Road Truckers), let her know that my 2 NC daughters are inspired by both of you. As a dad I have no problem with that!
Dear Bristol,
Thank you for being on DWTS! I hope you ignore the critics who tried to claim you aren’t a good dancer. I watched your extension, your knees, the way your movement comes all the way through your fingertips, your perfect frame, your posture, your incredible reach with those long legs of yours. You are actually a very good dancer and watching your progress every week was a real joy.
I second that!
Bristol you made watching DWTS enjoyable. Thank you. 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10

Dear Bristol
You are a winner. You hung in to the end and had many people rooting for you. I’m proud of you.
Dear Bristol,
Thank you for not giving up in when faced with unbelievable adversity. Just dance, let the haters hate
Dear Bristol,
thank you for working so hard and showing us all how truly lovely a woman you are. Go home, take care of your adorable son and remember like Mama Grizzly says, there’s plenty of fish in the sea. DWTS was only one of your first of many fishes in the sea.
Bristol, what a strong young woman you’ve become! Thank you for being so gracious and courageous through this whole ordeal. We’ve enjoyed every minute of it! To us, you are the real champion.
Dear Bristol,
You are a very special young lady. You have been so blessed in your life, a beautiful son, a loving family, a gracious and merciful Lord, and now, a huge array of adoring fans. Just watching you blossom brings tears to my eyes. You are and will continue to be such a positive role model for so many other young women hoping to do something that is outside their comfort zone. You are an inspiration to me personally, you have overcome! God bless you and keep you. No matter what you choose in the future you will be a star in my eyes. Thank you Bristol, for giving me a sense of hope and a dance in my step.
Shelly
Dear Bristol,
You rocked this season of DWTS and you’ve everything to be proud of! Tonight your last dance, the Cha Cha, was FANTASTIC! On and off the dance floor you are a strong woman, and I respect you! I’ve only good hopes for you Bristol, you’re right when you say God has a lot in store for you and Tripp! You just keep trucking around the next corner, keep following your path. You’ll have an amazing life!
Blessings,
Teri
Dear Bristol,
You continue to amaze me more and more each time I see you. You exemplify what it means to be a true American woman. You are strong in both heart and spirit. And you don’t let anything stand in your way of reaching your dreams. I hope you know what an inspiration you have been to women, both young and old, across this country and around the world. Your grace and perserverance stand as a torch, to light our way when things get tough.
Thank you for working so hard to show us that anything is possible. Thank you for perservering, even when the cards seemed stacked against you. And thank you, especially, for being true to yourself and letting us see the beautiful woman that you have become.
Warmest Wishes for all your future endeavors,
Allison

Bristol, I couldn’t be prouder of you if you were a member of my family. You worked hard, you shocked everyone with how far you came, and you did it all with grace. I really can’t express how excellent you were, and how much I loved watching you and Mark grow closer as friends. I’m actually getting a little teary-eyed with pride thinking about everything you accomplished.
Love to your whole family. If Tripp learns anything from his mom, he’s going to wow ‘em at high school dances one day.
Thanks so much also to Kevin and the rest of the Buzz boys for “organizing” us all, and for once again calling the left out on their hypocrisy!
Dear Bristol,
Thank you for entertaining me. It was wonderful to see how you grew in confidence and grace. I enjoyed almost all of your dances (the monkey suit dance not so much), but I was especially moved by your dances on the 15th. Your waltz touched my heart. Thank you for opening yourself to us. And just keep dancing through whatever life throws at you.
Thank you Bristol!!!
Now let’s all focus on Sarah’ new book
Yup! Got mopine today! Gonna read it as we travel to see family tomorrow!
Ok, weird. mopine= mine. Don’t know how that happened.
Dear Bristol, what you gained in vitriol from the rabid left, you gained ten-fold amounts of admiration from the 79% of us who think they are a$$holes. You may not have won, but, we did give them the middle finger.
Like your mom, you are destined to be a star.
Dear Bristol,
I think you shone like the Times Square ball! You were sweet and honest the entire time … your personality came through brightly and, I’d say you are one of the truly sweetest people! Even in what must have been often a very distressing situation, you never let any ugliness boil up in you. You were nice to everyone and I do believe America has a different impression of you now.
You did a lovely job there on dwts … week after week, doing your very best. We loved watching you! Please tell your mom, dad, brothers and sisters, there are a TON of us in the southern 48 who love them. We are thinking of and praying for you. God bless the Palins!
Thank you Bristol for continuing to help expose the rabid Left and their meltdown over you. You did great so hold your head high!
Dear Bristol!
Your last dance was amazing and you are an amazing young woman. You will look back on this in 20 years and be so proud of yourself. Experiences like you have you have pulled yourself through in the last years many young women go through everyday without the media and haters and it makes them stronger. You are us. We are proud of you like we are proud of your Momma! Whatever happens tonight, no one can take your spirit away from you. Shine on!
i agree the last dance was a just wonderful..it showed all the hard work you must have put into it..we’re all so proud of you..now go on to a wonderful future, i do believe this will open many doors for you!
Dear Bristol, congrats! Well done, sweet girl! You have done yourself, and your family, proud! You danced your heart out. You danced for all of us in flyover country. And to all the cruel, nasty people who so viciously attacked you and even threatened your life–well, they have exposed themselves for the black-hearted evil people they truly are.
Dear Bristol,
You’re young and beautiful. I hope this experience opens new doors for you and gives you the confidence to charge through life knowing you can accomplish anything you put your mind to.
Your example of handling pressure and adversity with grace will inspire many of the young women you speak to as an activist.
You can leave with your head held high and, hopefully, no regrets. Well done!
Hey Bristol you rocked the house. Thanks for entertaining us and showing your strong Alaskan grit! Love ya!
You did so well….we are so proud of you. What fun you must have had and you are soooo much braver than most of us out here. Loved your last dance and the spunk you showed. You did better than the Judges seemed to think at times. You know in your heart you did an amazing job!! Loved the way Kyle showed his support..I’m sure you did not see that but it was apparent that he liked you guys. On to bigger and better things and know we all love you.
Dear Bristol,
Let me tell you darlin’, I don’t watch DWTS, I
don’t vote online or phone in votes.
When I came to Hillbuzz and checked out what
Kevin and his buzz followers (great people)
were planning for you, I was ALL IN!
You worked hard,did a fabulous job (Mark,too)
and showed people what CLASS and CHARACTER
look like. Everyone here loves you and you made us proud. Thank you and much success in all that
you do.
Bristol:
I never watch the alphabet channels, or vote on the phone or online. But for you I did all three. You demonstrated so much grace under pressure and you are a role model for young women everywhere.
I had a blast both watching and blogging, it was fun.
Godspeed Bristol!
Same sentiments here, Bristol.
You did yourself and your family proud!
Dear Bristol,
You are an inspiration to so many. You displayed great courage by your determination to dance when so many hateful people were against you. You shall always have this memory of the day you decided to take a leap of faith. Love to Mark…what a guy!
You did good, kid!
Dear Bristol,
You did good and it was obvious to us that you really did enjoy yourself while learning to dance inspite of your shyness! Mark did a wonderful job of bringing you out of your shell. This is the only DWTS my family has watched and millions will remember it because of you and the attention your presence brought to the show.
The lyrics of Leann Womack’s song, I Hope You Dance, come to mind. May your life be filled with much more dancing.
CarolynT
Dear Bristol,
Each person ahead of me in this thread expressed beautifully what I am thinking.
I will just add that I really take my hat off to you. You did beautifully!
I could never get out there in front of all of those people and put up with all of the ‘opinions’ of people I neither knew or respected.
I never watched DWTS before and won’t again. I did watch all of your shows and supported you all the way through. Thank you for all of your hard work and grace.
I am a great admirer of your family and really appreciate all you are subjecting yourselves to for the good of the country. I really think Sarah has redirected the whole conversation, depth of thought and extent of action for many Americans. I became aware of her shortly before she was tapped for VP. Was SO hoping McCain would choose her. Made everyone at work aware of her and was shouting on the rooftops when the announcement was made. She gave me and many, many others the knowledge that we were not alone as common sense conservatives. And that the whole country had not gone to hell in a handbasket. I will be forever grateful. I do believe that she is the only one I see with the ability and integrety to be the President that can get this country on the right track. I think Mike Pence would be a good VP. John Bolton for Sec of State. I really like Jim DeMint, but we need him in the Senate.
Sorry, enough about politics!
Very proud of you, Bristol, and all of the progress you made. You are a beautiful dancer and beautiful representation for America.
– D’Lynne
May God bless you all!
Dear Bristol,
Like you, I am American Indian. We Lakota (called sioux) believe that it isn’t so important where you’re from as it is where you’re going. Sure, you’ve got a great family, but what matters most in determining how your life will unfold is how true you are to your own heart, and how strongly you follow it.
Tonight, and throughout the whole DWTS show, the world got to see you more than they ever had, and were directly comparing you to professional entertainers. Your heart and courage were equal to their prior training and dancing skills.
As long as you remain true to your heart, your future will be bathed in spiritual blessings from GreatFather and EarthMother, (or whatever name(s) you call The Creator).
Blessings on your path,
Toksa ake, Newt, le miye lo.
(Until we speak next, I’m Newt, I speak only for myself.)
Dear Bristol,
Loved watching you this season. You were amazing.
My favorite dance EVER with DWTS (and I have watched every season) was your Passion of Christ waltz. In a few short weeks, you learned to express the grace of God through dance.
When the judges said there was “something special about you” . . . it was the sweet aroma of Christ. You were His Grace in motion.
Continue to dance. You have a gift.
Hug Mark for us all . . . he was a perfect partner.
Here is a link to the song Hallelujah performed by a trio of girls from North Pole, Alaska. It’s on Dance Bristol Dance facebook page and it is beautiful. I don’t know how to embed so hopefully linky will work.

Dear Bristol,
You have done a wonderful job through it all, and have shown such class, maturity and grace. As a former dancer, it was great fun for me to watch you grow as a performer…and you really, REALLY did! Your waltz, especially, blew me away. The emotion and passion in that number and your genuine connection with Mark was SO moving…I was breathless, and THAT was the night you became a dancer. Job well done, Hun. Be proud.
Bristol, if nothing else, please keep Mark in your life. He is so good for you, and you for him as well. You two have a special bond that is a joy to witness. You have been through quite a lot together, and have supported one another unflinchingly. He cares deeply for you as I am sure you do for him. Dont let that go.
You are the winner in our eyes. Hold your head high…you have a new found confidence that is beautiful to see. Congratulations!
~Nicole
Dear Bristol:
We are all so very proud of you! May the LORD continue to bless you!
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
Praise the LORD!
Sing to the LORD a new song, And His praise in the congregation of the godly ones.
Let Israel be glad in his Maker; Let the sons of Zion rejoice in their King. Let them praise His name with dancing; Let them sing praises to Him with timbrel and lyre. For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the afflicted ones with salvation.
Let the godly ones exult in glory; Let them sing for joy on their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, To execute vengeance on the nations And punishment on the peoples, To bind their kings with chains And their nobles with fetters of iron, To execute on them the judgment written; This is an honor for all His godly ones.
Praise the LORD! Psalm 149

Dear Bristol,
Your gracefulness, graciousness and genuineness (especially in comparison with all the drama queen ‘acts’ at DWTS) is just great and is way beyond your years. You are in a class of your own. (Mark, you were pretty awesome, too)
You won in the minds of people, because you don’t need that mirror ball trophy to know that you won in all the ways that truly matter. You showed people that you will not
be intimidated by vile comments, vitriol, even death threats. And just by being you (they’re going to criticize anyway, so I might as well dance) shed light on the Left’s crazed frenzy over a show on TV without realizing the irony and hypocrisy of their ignoring and promoting “vote early and often” in real elections, in the process.
Thanks to you too, Kevin for continuing to let that message be heard in as many outlets as you could, in spite of the LSM’s efforts to try to shut you up.
We are really proud of you, Bristol and your bravery, perseverence, hard work ethic and your cheerful attitude in the face of adversity. So keep going, young lady. You won the hearts of America and we wish you the very best in everything including completing your formal education, continuing to be a great mom and success in all your future dreams and aspirations!
Dear Bristol,
I’ve never watched DWTS before this season, and I probably won’t watch again. The only reason I watched this season was to see you. You didn’t disappoint. You worked so hard and danced beautifully. I hope this opportunity blessed you as you blessed us with your spirit and determination. You rock girl!
We are all proud of you and I know your family and friends are too. Mark was a splendid partner for you. He is a rarity in Hollywood; not only talented, but caring, patient and a genuinely nice guy.
I have an idea – I’d love to see you both dance together again. How about at your mom’s inaugural ball?
All my best to you and your beautiful son!
Dear Bristol,
You are completely adorable, a joy to watch. I alsonever watched DWTS and probably won’t again…I am very proud of you. You seem very mature and sure of yourself compared to these divas. Keep being you and good luck in your next venture!
Thank You Bristol for your bravery to get out and learn how to dance. To me, that is what the show was about, not who already is a professional.
That is why I voted for you. It was fun to see you grow as a dancer week after week and break out of your shyness.
Hold your head up high! You deserved to be in the finals on your dancing ability alone. Keep on dancing!!!
Thank you to Mark also! He is quite a man! My favorite Pro from now on.
Dear Bristol,
Thanks for dancing your heart out. I think you simply glowed every time you were on the floor Tuesday evening – you looked like dancing had become second-nature to you, and you were there with joy and a sense of fun.
As to the haters? No amount of darkness can extinguish the light of a candle. The candle always wins. And a candle can light other candles, and they can light fires that push back on the darkness until everyone is in the light.
You, dear young woman, are that first candle.
You have won hearts by your sweetness and determination. You have demonstrated what a work ethic is, and you didn’t “go Hollywood”, unlike a certain young man who will live in ignominy until he pulls his head out, gets his GED, and gets a job.
I’d never watched DWTS, and probably never will again. But you made it a great show. Thanks for that. And thanks for standing up tall and speaking to young girls about the difficulties of being a single teen parent. You’ve taken lemons, and made lemonade!
Dear Bristol,
You are Life and Love personified!
You are Life because you are authentic and genuine. You are yourself and aren’t afraid to be that wonderful person you are.
You are Love because you don’t hide your Life from others. Against strong criticism you laid it on the line week after week. You didn’t hold back. You were placed in a position of influence and you used that platform as a witness to what life can be like for a genuine, caring person.
A lot of people didn’t get it. A lot of other were threatened by your “Light,” preferring to scurry back into the darkness over being warmed by it.
Jesus says that we are the salt of the earth: tasty, flavorful, valuable. That is our “core” quality, and you have it.
He went on to say that we are light of the world, that each of us has influence of one kind or another. You put your “light” on a high lampstand and illuminated a whole lot of people.
Our “core” added to our “influence” gives us true PASSION. (Not the fake kind that’s nothing more than arousal.) That definitely came through when you waltzed to the song from the Passion of the Christ.
Just remember that passion is spelled:
Pass I On
And that’s exactly what you did for the past 11 weeks.
Life and Love,
LYW
Bristol,
I never watched DWTS so faithfully before but I did this time and voted for you and Mark religiously. I’m so proud of how you handled yourself during the show and was happy that you got so far. You looked like you were having fun and that’s the main thing. Your Chicago dance was my favorite. Just between you and me, I’m 50 and have never seen Chicago either. Anyway, just wanted to congratulate you on getting to 3rd place and handling yourself with such grace and dignity.
Dear Bristol,
I was so proud of you last night. So proud I got teary-eyed. As much as I loved watching you dance this season, your last dance last night gave me chills. It was then I realized that how much you have grown as a performer and a person. If anyone at that point who said you did not deserve to be in the finals still thought so, then there is something wrong with them. You showed such skill and grace and beauty. I cried.
But more than the dancing, you showed such incredible courage. Such courage that you taught me something. You taught me so say from now on, “what the hell, I might as well dance”. I will bring that quote with me for the rest of my life. And whenever I am face with a fear of what others may thing or just a fear of failing, I will say for the rest of my life, “I might as well dance”. Thank you for showing me and millions of Americans too afraid to act or to stand up to others, that they too have it in them to be courageous. You are every bit your mother’s daughter when it comes to courage. Your whole family has taught me so much in the past two years.
Thank you to you and your whole family for changing the way I look at myself and the world.
God Bless you!!
Well done, Bristol! Come on down to Texas–we’ll teach you the Texas Two Step, Line Dancing and the Cotton Eyed Joe–Country and Western dancing is the people’s dance–all the way relatable!
Sneaking in a note to my cousin-sister Sarah and brother-cousin Todd:
Another core Lakota belief is that GreatFather and EarthMother make no mistakes. Your DNA, your date of birth, everything about you two were put together on purpose, so that you would be exactly who you are and need to be at our part of the great time-line.
You must press ahead, ignoring your doubt, trusting that GF/EM knows how your hearts and minds work, and how you will decide, given the challenges you face.
The Christian Bible (linking to Bristol’s DWTS) “Your steps are prepared before hand, that you should walk (dance) in them.”
Do what you feel you must do. Ignore your doubt. Complete your journey to your destinies.
I honor you in your walk.
