DOOM ANTIDOTE: Massive Blowback and Backfire to Obama’s Lena Dunham Ad. “Just like the Fonz, Obama went from Mr. Popular to Jumping the Shark”.
Yesterday, “The Tamminator” posted the pro-Obama Lena Dunham ad “Your First Time” (see above) and I commented at the time that I thought it was disgusting; immediately I assumed it was either a parody or an unsanctioned ad made by an amateur Obama supporter. I’d never heard of Lena Dunham before and actually thought it was Sandra Fluke in the video. I was stunned to learn this was an OFFICIAL OBAMA CAMPAIGN ad that’s actually hosted on the official Obama YouTube channel.
I’ve been telling you for a while that the very best way to tell what regular voters think in this election is to not pay any attention to political sites on either side of the aisle and to instead monitor entertainment websites (since the general public is not spending time where WE would normally go every day…but they are logging a lot of hours on EW.com or People.com). Check out the comments being left on this article about the Lena Dunham ad that was posted over at Entertainment Weekly’s website.
* UPDATE: Checkout the parody that Steven Crowder did of this. It was so ripe for parody, and echoes a lot of what people are saying about the ad on EW.com *
Man alive, this has really blown up in the Obama campaign’s face because this ad has caused a virulent, negative reaction amongst people who are generally very pro-Obama at EW.com. Here’s just a sampling of what they’re saying:
This ad makes me very uncomfortable.Bad judgment by the Obama campaign. I don’t want a President who jokes about being “eye candy” for the women on the View, or who stoops to calling Romney a b***s****er to a Rolling Stone reporter so he can appear to be cool.Just ugh.
Quite possibly the creepiest Presidential ad I’ve ever seen. I thought it was a joke, or maybe created by a weird supporter, until I saw his logo at the end. I can’t believe the President actually put out something so undignified as that. Wow.
What is it with the Obama campaign constantly sexualizing women?? I’d like to think there’s more to me than my reproductive system, thanks very much!
This is one of the most stupid ads I have ever seen. The Obama campaign truly is patronizing and belittling women. Don’t they realize it will back fire because so many of us are sick and tired of people telling us what to do and how to think. Who is running that campaign anyway?
This Obama campaign ad is degrading to women. Let’s get the young female vote by telling them to vote and relate it to a sexual experience…. think of Obama, doing it the first time.
Well, we see how the Obama/campaign look at women… just a piece of a$$. Wow. Let’s don’t talk to young female voters with an intelligent message… let’s talk to them like they’re horney females. And if they are horney females, they will fall for the message that Obama is looking out for them with abortion rights and paid for birth control. Now get out there and go screw the world! Gee, thanks Mr. President.
As in everything Lena Dunham she wants you to ignore her utter hypocrisy in clearly being too lazy to vote the first time she could have in 2004.
Typical Lena Dunham. Lazy. Not bother to do with you should. Demand other people do it. Sexualize yourself. Act like a bratty little girl. Produce a bad result in your field (i.e. television show, now commercial). Scream sexism. Then wait for the press to cover it and start crowing about how that shows everyone loves you.
When will she just go away already? And when will Hollywood and the entire press stop spinning for her? Seriously who does she know and who is bribing who to keep this charade up?
He’s pandering to youth for votes. Gross. Twenty and under will find this “cute” and it just goes to show how our society is being flushed down the toilet with all this “me-ism” and “ultra” feminism mentality. It’s sad to watch young women fall for it. I’m 36 and I know the young girls who will fall for this crap. America cried feminism in the 60′s and men stopped opening doors for us. Chivalry is all but dead. Wake up women. This is an insult.
Just like the fonz Obama has gone from mr. popular to jumping the shark. This is the moment that it happened, mark it down boys and girls.
If you don’t spend a lot of time on EW.com I think you need to know that the average age of a commenter there is between 18-25 or so. There aren’t a lot of people on those boards who are over 30…and fewer still over 35. I would bet that People.com has a slightly older crowd (maybe 40-50 year olds). EW.com is mostly a site for kids in college and in their first jobs post-graduation. For the last four years, the place was intensely pro-Obama until about June or July of this year when I noticed a marked change. Nothing bad about Obama at first, but the most rabid defenders and verbose Obama apologists or praisers started disappearing.
Then, around the time that the “You Didn’t Build That” comment happened, I noticed more people actually criticizing Obama and mocking what he’d said about small businesses. Few chimed in to shout down the critics, which is night and day from what used to happen in the past. Criticizing Obama would not have been allowed two years ago. Four years ago your comment would have been scrubbed by moderators. But this summer, people started being able to openly mock Obama without consequences.
After the Denver debate, the Obama supporters completely disappeared and have not been back.
But pay attention to that last comment up there, the one made by “Jeff Postman” where he said that this Lena Dunham commercial was the moment that Obama officially jumped the shark; I think he’s right.
For those who don’t get the reference, “Jumping the shark” is an idiom related to the show Happy Days…and specifically an episode in one of the later seasons where Henry Winkler’s character ‘The Fonz” went to California and entered a water skiing competition…in which he had to jump over an aquatic pen with a large shark in it. It was a two-part, cliffhanging episode that cut-off right as Fonzie was hurtling through the air, leaving the audience to gasp for breath and wonder if he’d be okay. At the time the show aired, people of course loved it and were excited to see if Fonzie would survive his encounter with Jaws.
Many years later, “jumping the shark” became one of the very first Internet memes when a TV writer used the idiom to describe the moment that a previously good show went bad and started to seem ridiculous to even its biggest fans. A more modern version that you sometimes hear is “nuke the fridge”, which is a reference to the last Indiana Jones movie in which Harrison Ford climbs into a Frigidaire to survive an atomic bomb test.
Note that the Obama supporters over at EW.com believe that his campaign “jumped the shark” with this “Your First Time” ad. This is a very big deal.
I also find it fascinating that the female EW.com commenters are horrified by how Democrats keep reducing women to walking vaginas and sex addicts. Very few people who comment on this site are conservative, so if the remarks being left on this Lena Dunham article are indicative in any way of how the Obama target demographic is responding to this ad…then this thing is going to one day be studied in political science classes as perhaps the biggest misfire of all time.
Women are literally running away from Obama in disgust over this ad. To motivate the base to vote, Democrats thought the only card they had left to play was to reduce women to sex-crazed vagina monsters and scare them with lies about Romney/Ryan wanting to take away their ability to kill any babies that might be growing in their wombs after all the sex they were having with strangers. This ad was meant to appeal to young women who love sex and hate babies and who were delighted by the celebration of killing little babies that Democrats hosted in Denver back in September.
This was all Democrats had left…and it blew up in their faces.
It’s truly stunning.
********************************************************
I’m marking 10/26/2012 as one of the big moments in this campaign because of the Lena Dunham ad’s blowback against Barack Obama and I think I’ll officially say that, yes, this was the day that Obama jumped the shark and lost his cool to almost all the 2008 Obama voters.
I think Romney won the election on 10/3/2012 at the debate in Denver; in my opinion, he was always going to win but he just had to prove himself to voters and show that everything the Obama camp had been saying about him were lies. He did that, and I think he became the 45th president in all but the formalities at that point.
I think before that the Democrat convention in late September alienated a lot of people…with the screaming, the yelling, all the Spanish-speaking, and the endless stream of women depicted as sex-crazed vagina monsters who’d take to the stage to celebrate killing their babies. I’m still so horrified by this because when I was growing up having an abortion was something a woman was ashamed to do…and only did in the most rare and extremely upsetting of circumstances. Killing a baby was a serious thing, and it was not done for fun or just because a woman could do that and no one had any ability to stop her. I’ve had two friends in life who had abortions (back in the 90s) and both of them, to this day, think they made the right decision (one was a medical reason and the other was because of a rape) but still carry that “What if?” in their hearts and souls wondering if it would have been better to carry the child and give it up for adoption (in the case of the rape survivor at least). I’m ashamed of the Democrat Party for attempting to paint killing babies as “no big deal” or even a rite of passage for a modern woman. These people are sick and evil…and I think Democrats will eventually see that the Charlotte convention permanently estranged many people from the party who do not approve of this new attitude towards abortion as “something fun to do” or an acceptable form of birth control.
In July, of course, Obama said his infamous “You didn’t build that, somebody else made it happen” garbage.
Oddly enough, I don’t think Americans have really reacted much to the Benghazi terrorist attack…but I do think whatever advantage Obama may have had from being the president when Osama bin Laden was killed was wiped away by Benghazi. People know there’s a coverup of some kind, and they know that Obama is not telling the truth, but the general public is not inclined to know the details. They do see, I think, that incompetence is involved. I’ve read on EW.com before when someone mentioned “Well, he killed Osama!” and someone else will add something to the effect of “Yah, and then he let our ambassador get killed in Libya”. So it’s a wash for Democrats.
None of the attacks on Mitt Romney have worked because villainizing him for being rich is asinine political strategy in a country where everyone wants to be rich…and people don’t much like seeing rich people persecuted because they don’t want that to happen to them one day when they win the lottery or become big movie stars (or insert their own version of the American dream). Romney and Ryan come off as nice men…and HOT too. They are easily the best looking presidential ticket I’ve ever seen…and even gay guys I know on Facebook who’ve been taught to hate Republicans have been forced to admit that, yes, they’re two good-looking guys. They are hard to demonize because they’re not just good looking, but they are actually good guys in their hearts too. We are lucky to have them as the next President and Veep.
The mocking of Mormons didn’t happen…which I think is in part because if Democrats would have started that then there’d have been a full expose on Jeremiah Wright and the Trinity United Church…so I think religion was a truce between the campaigns. I love how every attack on Mitt over his taxes or investments or this latest Gloria Allred nonsense with the Staples’ founder’s divorce sank like lead balloons.
Democrats really had nothing that worked…and there’s no time left to try something new.
All the Left can do is pump out rigged polls and claim that “Ohio is too close to call!” so that conservatives cower in fear and are crippled by anxiety instead of finishing strong and doing everything they can to make this the biggest defeat that Democrats have ever suffered in history.
Seriously…just LOOK at the comments being left on YouTube for that Lena Dunham video. READ THEM. This is the official Obama YouTube Channel and those comments are being allowed to remain there…and most of them say that this video has creeped them out and that they won’t be voting for Obama because of it. And his own staff is not removing those comments from the Obama channel…or closing down comments so no one can leave more.
This really reminds me of the last days of Saddam Hussein in Iraq, when he was giving orders to units that didn’t exist anymore but his propaganda minister, Baghdad Bob, kept going on the air to pretend that no American troops were anywhere nearby and that Iraq would be victorious in battle always.
Folks, this is what Chris Matthews is like at this point.
This is Rachel Maddow right now.
This is everyone like Allahpundit, Erick Erikson, or Ben Shapiro who you see on conservative sites writing things like “Romney might still win!” or “The unions are going to give Ohio to Obama!” or whatever these Tokyo Roses are going on about today, based on rigged polls that the Ministry of Truth has given them (and then they stupidly accept that propaganda as fact and scare the stuffing out of people by writing more of that Eeyore or fear porn garbage these three have become famous for in the last month). Fear porn drives a lot of traffic to their sites…so that’s why the three of them engage in this. It’s just a shame that a lot of good people are subjected to emotional terrorism because HotAir, RedState, and — sadly– even Breitbart are pulling this crap.
I swear to you: Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are going to win…but it’s just a matter of determining how BIG a win it will be. I think it will be by a margin of at least 70-80 EVs but I dream about it being much, much higher. ”Catastrophe for Democrats” higher.
******************************************************
Have you seen what UnskewedPolls had up yesterday?
They have Romney winning the election with 54% and a total of 359 EVs to just 179 for Obama. I think we can honestly make it this big of a win if we keep working hard. If you follow the link to Unskewed you’ll see that it has some heart-stopping shockers for Democrats, with Obama losing Michigan, Minnesota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, New Mexico…and coming damn close to losing Maine, Washington, and New Jersey.
The only states really safe for Democrats are California, New York, and Illinois. Everything else is dangerously close to slipping away from Obama as well.
THIS is what Election Night is going to look like for Democrats, folks:
I wish I could find a clip of what happens next…because people are running around the Death Star screaming, on fire, and the ceiling’s falling apart and robots are beeping and whirling to get out of the way. That’s totally going to be happening at the DNC Headquarters…here in Chicago at the Obama campaign’s HQ…in the White House…and in the studios of MSNBC and CNN. The New York Times newsroom will look like this. The assemblage of Obama supporters at McCormick Place in Chicago will look like this. It is going to be a destructive and well-deserved nightmare for all of these people.
I am going to love every minute of it.
That’s why I want to work hard between now and November 6th so that a scenario like that described at Unskewed polls really does happen…the absolute worst-case-scenario for Obama and the Left…a complete and total meltdown and annihilation coast to coast where these lunatics even lose Pennsylvania, Oregon, and Michigan and come damn close to losing Oregon, Washington, and New Jersey too.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO TODAY TO HELP MAKE THAT DREAM A REALITY?
This is an Open Thread (but no less than ten people will still leave comments saying “I don’t see an open thread today”) so please add anything important and interesting that you see out there online today.
Honestly, it would be a huge favor to all of us if you could leave a comment today telling us how you think YOUR state will vote and what YOUR friends and neighbors are telling you on the ground where you live. There’s never any word limit here because I personally can’t stand that a lot of people today want everything to be 140 characters. I love hearing people’s personal stories and knowing what’s happening in their communities wherever they are.
I especially want to hear from people in the following states:
* Ohio
* Pennsylvania
* Michigan
* Minnesota
* Oregon
* Maine
I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that UnskewedPolls thinks that Romney’s going to win PA, MI, MN, and OR (and come really close in Maine). That’s going to take a little bit of time to soak in for me. This is uncharted territory for a Republican. Could it really happen?
I will tell you that Romney will definitely win Ohio, and I think it will be a Romney 54% to Obama 46% win…not even close. With that Romney wins the presidency.
But winning those other ones above would completely obliterate the Left. There would be no way for them to cling to power in the aftermath of such a colossal loss. THAT is the kind of win I want to see.
Can anyone shed any light on if this will be happening?

Thanks for this Kevin. I saw this at Ace’s place and FR, but your analysis is far, far more in-depth. It gives us all hope, I think, when we see 18-30′s blowing back on this. Not just for this election which I believe with you is a done deal, but for our future. It will be interesting to follow the polling after this sinks in.
In the back of my mind, I have a thought that the Obama Junta will attempt to “Benghazi” this and call it a “right-wing” trick of the VRWC.
Good luck to us all.
Downstate Illinois mini ground report! My community has come alive with RomneyRyan signs. I have seen ZERO Obama signs this year, and only a few bumper stickers and they are old ones.( When I can I stick a Right to Life handout under wipers.)
I conducted a word association survey (per HB suggestions) on Sunday. I still need to report fully on that, sorry! But the overall, when asking description for Obama or Biden was negative and VEHEMENT. Benghazi and the debates are brought up as factors, time and again. The word, “liar” & “incompetent” trending.
A highly visible corner property on a highway here…the farmer placed 2 hay wagons with huge signs stating” SHOVEL READY JOBS AHEAD…” When you got about 1/8 mile past he had constructed a GRAVEYARD with HUGE shovels and HUGE sign reading..THE AMERICAN ECONOMY UNDER BARACK OBAMA. I’ll try to get some pictures!
A week ago an adjacent county had a GOP rally for a few locals etc. They reported record attendance, and veteran GOP supporter said, ” I haven’t seen turnout and support like this in my 40 years!”
4500 RomneyRyan yardsigns were requested in ONE WEEKEND.
Whenever I initiate discussion, i.e. ‘ are you registered to vote’, ‘ what do you think about Mitt Romney’ etc..I am met with positive comments about our Country, the Romneys and many thanks from these people to me ” for what you are doing”.
I have been able to register 3 new voters, and convince several others to change their vote from Obama to Mitt. All by just getting out there and talking talking EVERYWHERE I CAN.
I must admit, it seems to be easier talking to some of these LEFTISTS lately. My Leftist boss told me yesterday, he’s on the fence. I asked, “Do I have a CHANCE to convince you?” He said, “YEP” So, I’ve got some convincing to do today!! Over and out.
Good luck !
And Thanks!
It is the same in my state of Colorado. I have seen 2 bumper stickers for Obama in the entire year of 2012. Meanwhile, it takes 15 minutes for me to drive from my house to my parents’ house…and I counted 9 yard signs and 2 bumper stickers for Romney when I drove over there a few days ago. So, 2 Obama supporters in almost 11 months, vs. 11 Romney supporters spotted in 15 minutes.
I have two friends who say they “think” they will vote for Obama but they are “not sure.” I have not met one single person yet who is starry eyed over Obama like they all were in 2008. This, people, proves to me beyond a shadow of a doubt that Obama is going down big time in 2012. Even with all the people acting like he was Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior in 2008 and outspending McCain at an enormous rate, I think the national vote was 53% to Obama. There is absolutely no enthusiasm now so you can only imagine how low his number will be.
To expand upon a comment at EW.com, would Obama have been proud to have one of his daughters make this campaign ad? If not, how could he be proud that the daughter of someone else made this ad on his behalf?
This ad is not about voting. It’s about weak and immature minds being manipulated into believing that there is something wrong with them if they aren’t doing what everyone else is doing.
The messaging used in this ad evokes the fears of every caring parent that their teen child will succumb to peer pressure and be manipulated into becoming a sexual conquest for the “cool” kids at school. How this can be seen as a positive for Obama’s campaign is utterly beyond me.
It’s about weak and immature minds being manipulated into believing that there is something wrong with them if they aren’t doing what everyone else is doing.
An excellent observation. The pressure of youth – we all feel it to varying degrees – to be cool. Laughable, as I look at it now yet, very real not so long ago.
…and despicably predatory.
You’re right, mp. This ad is very exploitative.
I want to discuss this ad a bit more, as someone who has a solid background in propaganda and marketing techniques.
There are two goals in this ad. The first is to manipulate young women based upon their burgeoning breeding instinct. That is, tap into their ‘boy crazy’ hormones that they are still adjusting to in their late teens and early 20′s.
This is done by linking sex with Obama. Obama then becomes the (fake) means of fulfilling the breeding instinct. This is very basic stimulus-response stuff geared towards what is often referred to as the “Lizard Brain” of humans. That is, the most emotion-based, rudimentary aspects of our brains.
Here, the stimulus is the breeding instinct, of women. And what the ad is telling you is that if you vote for Obama, you will be fulfilling that sexual instinct — possibly even for the first time. What a thrill!
The second aspect of the ad is what you mentioned, mp. The effect of peer pressure. The “everyone is doing it” aspect.
The reason why mass movements of all types — think Hitler, Stalin or even Putin here — seek to enlist the young is that the young are the most manipulable. They have the least real-world experience, but are full of energy, hormones and fear. They are Walking Lizard Brains just waiting to be hijacked.
Left-wingers always target the young. They have to, because people who are older know too much to fall for their childish, fanciful, utopian gobbledygook.
This ad, as has been pointed out by others, is either deliberate self-sabotage of the Obama campaign, or, as is more likely, an act of complete and utter desperation.
The one thing any good propagandist or marketer knows is that the more subtle your message is, the more effective it will be. And so, the more obvious you are with what you are trying to do, almost certainly the more desperate you are. This ad is hit-me-over-the-head-with-an-anvil obvious. It’s shoddy, pathetic. Desperate.
What this ad tells me is this — the Obama campaign is in such chaos that they are trying anything to secure younger female voters. As in, they are going to need a legion of younger female voters to offset the drubbing they are going to take with middle-aged and senior voters. This ad is like a Scandinavian warrior of ancient times blowing a horn for reinforcements in a one-sided battle that is being lost.
Like that horn blowing, this ad is trying to seek assistance. But what it actually signals is pending, inevitable defeat.
“..walking lizard brains waiting to be hijacked”
Exactly. The thing that would have been a fail with me, and is with my daughters and her friends– Obama’s not attractive . Wouldn’t want to have sex with him, let alone risk breeding. And from a socio-biological perspective, he has no other redeeming features to make up for his lack of immediate physical beauty– not strong and warrior like, not smart, etc. I know not all women look at him this way, just saying why it wouldn’t have worked back then for me,and wouldn’t for my college aged daughters and friends.
For the record, I don’t find Paul Ryan attractive either (reminds me of my nephew). But Allen West would be a go, and surprisingly– I think Mitt’s pretty hot,and I have this weird thing for Bobby Jindal (now that’s embarrassing– isn’t it- but he has a beautiful complexion, great hair, and he’s smart– a little too skinny, but that’s fixable) .
I agree, Orthoi. Obama is not attractive. I may not be the perfect judge of that, as a heterosexual male, but he does not seem to me to be an attractive male. He’s skinny, insecure and arrogant.
I think Mitt is much better looking than Obama. Better face, jawline, bigger and accomplished. And you know Mitt is loyal, not doing whatever behind his partner’s back.
As a 26 year old heterosexual female, I can tell you, Mitt is 100x hotter than Obama. Obama might be male, but he is not a man. He is a spoiled little brat who probably throws things behind closed doors when he doesn’t get his way. Plus the things about stature (Obama is scrawny while Mitt looks like a real man), the success story of Mitt from nothing, his obvious adoration and devotion to Ann, etc…it’s very easy to see why women prefer Romney. Bottom line, Mitt is a man, Obama is a boy.
i have been suffering from obama-trauma for the last 3.5 years….every poll up or down sets me on fire, and coming to your site brings me PEACE. THANK YOU …from liberal california. VOTE NO on all props except 32 vote yes
Well said, Delane. This is about the only place on the web that calms my nerves and gives me hope that all is not lost.
WOW, I just watched the first video and to be honest, so that you don’t think I’m totally lucid, I must forewarn you I have had a whole bottle of wine, but I have to say this video is disgusting and degrading to women and whoever does not recognize that is a total moron. One thing that really bugs me is after all these years that I have been a woman on this planet, after all the hard fought-for and won progress in the movement for equal rights, this young woman named Lena Dunham makes a mockery of those of us who actually paid the price for her success as a human being and as a filmmaker. SHAME on you, Lena Dunahm!!! SHAME, YES SHAME! I would say something drastically offensive and vulgar but Kevin would block me. So just consider it said and know that this young woman has a lot, A LOT to learn. Voting for a presidential candidate is nothing like having sex for the first time. Is this what we’ve come to as women, that we get our power from our elected officials? What is wrong with Lena Dunhan, what is wrong with her that she’d let herself be used as such a clueless and useful idiot? I recently saw her movie TINY FURNITURE in which she starred and wrote and directed. All I can say is her character who had sex in a drain pipe in the cold wintery backdrop of an industrial park is more admirable than the person who claims losing her virginity is akin to voting for Buhrock Obama. One day she will regret making that video for the Obama campaign, oh dear God, I hope she does. Please let there be hope for this woman! If my g’daughers come to my house with Lena Dunham videos, they won’t be watching them on my teevee. Oh, one more thing, Mr, Reba, don’t tell me how much promise this filmmaker has ever again.
One more comment, WHAT I HAVE LEARNED FROM READING HILLBUZZ.ORG – males, gay, hetero, young, old, in between, all love and relate to sci-fi. After raising all boys, can I get a freaking break? HUH?
Can I just say – ROTFL! And I totally agree. Ahem, back to politics now.
Kevin knows I love him.
Interesting comments pertaining to this over on Legalinsurrection.
“DemNoMore says…..The Daily Caller has a post up revealing that in 1999 when he was in the Illinois State Senate, he did not vote for a bill to “protect rape victims from having the details of their cases revealed publicly.” He voted “Present.” http://dailycaller.com/2012/10/25/flashback-obama-broke-with-colleagues-voted-against-protecting-rape-victims-in-99-state-senate-vote/
Obama is presently hitting Romney over the head with Richard Mourdock’s comments about abortion in cases of pregnancy resulting from rape, which, unlike Akin’s, were completely twisted and misconstrued. But Mr. I’m-So-Concerned-About-Rape-Victims wouldn’t even vote to keep the records private for them. I’m stunned. What kind of sick person would refuse to support this? I can’t think of even one reason someone would not support the bill. Any woman who thinks Obama holds any feeling toward women other than contempt is badly mistaken.”
Also someone over there commented on these tactics. Evidently polls are showing that these last minute desparate, last ditch insane campaign ads by Obama are making more Republicans resolve to go and now vote for Romney. Whereas the ads affect on Dems is about zero.
At first, I thought the whole present voting thing with this…..president. (I’m trying to be civil) was simply out of laziness. As I ponder the whole Obama Narrative®, I think that he was “advised” by those that groomed him to vote present, as often as possible, so as to not have a definitive track record. Leave him a blank slate (more or less), push the Dreams of somebody else’s Father book to woo the moron masses and play the race card to the hilt. The stars aligned, in the perfect storm of 2008, and presto.
And what a devastating storm it’s been! We’ve been living in a perpetual state of emergency ever since, and I PRAY that the voters come to our rescue on Nov. 6.
Obama voted “present” 129 times as an Illinois senator. He also voted “present” on partial birth abortion. He voted present on anything where he thought a real vote would would hurt him in future elections. NPR and Factcheck.org gloss over it by saying it was less than 4% of the votes taken while he was in the senate but they fail to mention he was absent most of the time. Some months he missed over 70% of the votes. So when you add that to the 4% “present” votes Obama only took a stand on about 1/4 of the bills while he was in the Illinois senate.
His handlers made sure that he never took a stand that could be used against him on his pathway to the White House. We should have seen it then, it was painfully clear.
Didn’t Obama pretty much vote “Present” on every bill, except the one that would permit hospitals to save infants who were born alive during an abortion? On THAT one he voted to kill the babies. I think even way back then he was trying NOT to go on the record as supporting or not supporting anything but baby killing so it couldn’t be used against him during his inevitable presidential campaign.
This man is a stain on the history of this great country. Please, God, let the national nightmare end. Please give Mitt Romney a clear and decisive victory with a mandate that will allow him to bring our country back from the brink.

“when he was in the Illinois State Senate, Barack Obama voted to deny basic constitutional protections for babies born alive from a failed abortion. Not once, but four times”
Yes. Barak Obama aggressively fought for the right of abortion doctors to toss a living breathing infant that survived an abortion into a hospital waste bin. I did my own research on Obama back in 2008 when I was still a democrat. It was his only legislative accomplishment as an IL state senator as he voted present on most issues, he fought aggressively against The Born Alive Infant Protection Act. This really turned my stomach and because so many of my democrat friends anf familiy didn’t give a rats ass about it, it was then that I realized I don’t belong in this sick perverted party!
Random thoughts:
So this is what happens when a candidate cannot campaign on his record?
Just when you think you’ve seen and heard it all, along comes voting as losing one’s political virginity. Wow. Just wow.
Lena Dunham is too young to have sold her soul to Barack Obama. This video will haunt her the rest of her life. What a foolish decision. The Obama Kool-Aid must be as intoxicating as it is toxic.
As per my latest blog post here, there’s something even more stupid from a practical point of view:
http://www.conservativecommune.com/2012/10/i-remember-my-first-time/
So, let’s say it really is your first time to vote. Will you be able to? Is this ad too late?
I checked it out, and in many of the “swing states”, voter registration is closed. It definitely is in Ohio. The few states with open registration still are not swing states at all, except maybe for Iowa and NH.
So they try to entice a bunch of young women to go vote, but they’re not going to be able to….
…to mix metaphors, Obama will give them electoral blue balls.
And to top it all off, he copied the ad tram one by Vlad Putin. Talk about flexibility.
“From” not “tram”….stupid autocorrect.
Is Putin his ‘mentor’? Makes you wonder how ‘flexible’ they get??
Obama looked deep into Putin’s eyes….
Obama thought it was LOVE!
But Putin knew….
He was just Putin….
Here you go Kevin, here’s a video for the current DNC reaction. It even has Jan Carney doing his best to calm the mob.

Keep an eye on that hurricane/nor ‘easter that is incoming. Check in with your election officials if you’re in the targeted states and make sure they have contingency plans, because even though the election is two weeks away, it can take a while to get the power lines repaired if there’s been a good amount of damage.
Here’s a great website that tracks weather and they work with students in high schools and colleges to put together weather forecasts, and I honestly think they do a much better jobs than those weather folks on the news.
http://www.footsforecast.org
“Foot’s Forecast LLC is a weather forecasting, decision services and opportunity- building company headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland. Since January 2004, our members have provided public and client-focused forecasts for everyday weather and high-impact events. With 70 forecasters and meteorologists in 25 U.S. states, and even a developing team in the British Isles, our team works the weather with you, at your location.”
They have FB pages that you can add to your wall so you can get regular forecasts for your area. I just can’t stop praising them high enough.
Awe geez, just had a nasty thought. Comrade Zero and his minions will lobby to keep the polls open for another day(s) allowing them to slam more “dead” votes in.
REBA you are a hoot! Yeah, sorry about the sic-fi thing. Men are simple and women are complex. Give us something with explosions and noise and we are happy.
I like explosions and noise…
I live in Wisconsin. About 2 miles from the downtown, and 6 miles from the inner city. I live behind a park and daily walk my dogs with the other neighborhood owners/dogs. Those that are known Democrats are very quiet. Those of us that are independent and Republican are animated. We all figured out that we best not talk politics after the Walker recall election it nearly tore our neighborhood friendships apart. Instead, what we’ve all resorted to is the “war of the signs”. Many are pro Romney, some are pro Obama. Now it’s a bit more: my husband put a lawnchair in the front lawn, created a sign saying “Sede Vacante–this is Current Administration”. We’ve had people come to our door who know Latin, and say that was great. Or people who look clueless. Oh well. We have Paul Ryan who we know is truly good and decent and HE is going to carry WI if not Romney directly–if that makes sense. People are sick of unions here, and many are not stupid to know that Obama’s administration and the continuation of this insanity will cripple the U.S. to something that is not America. We managed to fight the unions during Walker’s recall election, we still have it in us to fight now. Romney/Ryan2012!
Who in the Obama campaign is stupid enough to think women are this shallow? They need to be fired and then put on a watch list. Didn’t they learn anything from the “Vote with your lady parts” ad? The comments around the internet are hilarious. This ad is going to cost them big among 20 somethings because it’s going viral.
I could only bear watching about half of that tattoo’d speed freak’s “ad” before shutting it down. She just put another hole in The Good Ship Lolipop…
O supporters will find a way to rationalize voting for him, even if they don’t like his policies…telling interview here
http://www.ihatethemedia.com/obama-supporters-actually-hate-obamas-policies?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+ihatethemedia+%28I+Hate+the+Media%29
Time to start using this line on the Obamabots.
“If you can’t see the desperation in having every campaign appearance include a rock concert. You probably would think the last four years were brilliant.”
Alicia Keys is campaigning in North Carolina today.
Kevin, I just happened up on your site recently and really enjoy it. You tell it like it is. Thanks. I live in a very red district in Georgia. I voted early this week and the line was horrendous. I think that means a lot of republicians are voting early. Yeah. Also, I think the DemocRATS are hurting themselves with these obsene ads and comments. Even most democrats do not want a president who uses the BS word to describe his opponent or a president who is on drugs. Suppose the president is high as a kite on cocaine when that 3 a.m. call comes in….on second thought, maybe he was.
Sounding the alarm already?
http://pjmedia.com/weathernerd/2012/10/25/hurricane-sandy-could-seriously-disrupt-the-election/
When O loses, will he blame Sandy?
Looking forward to the great Democrat Demoltion Derby. It will be an orgy of self destruction as they realize they are in shambles for generations and the hoax they perpetrated on a gullible American public has been revealed. Obama was abysmal in all three debates. He equates rudeness and arrogance with strength. He is a weak and pitiful being. I will never forget what happened in Libya and the more that is uncovered the uglier it will become. He should be pressed to testify about his cover up and motives.I thought presidents who lie are impeached. Why is he retiring like a king when he should stand trial for treason. As for his latest ad, what can we expect from a man who is called Bathhouse Barry. I wish someone with a camera had him on tape busy in the White House “working: at what he does best. I dont want him to go off into obscurity, I want that member of the Muslim Brotherhood fully exposed. Okay and just because I am so livid, he and Michelle are the most graceless, tasteless and unattractive pair to ever inhabit that house on Pennsylvania Avenue. They have withered hearts and corrupt souls. Never again!
Two points about impeachment:
The House indicts – the Senate function as court, and needs a two-thirds majority to convict. Now count how many Dims there are in the Senate …
Second point: The congressional impeachment/trial system is only to kick people out of office. BUT – the Constitution says that impeachment processes do not preclude prosecution according to the laws of the republic -hence (and given the fact that the Senate is still lousy with Dims), the most promising way of getting a semblance of jusice, is to get reliable people into the system, and _then_ to go ahead with investigations, and whatever follows from there…
I went over to the link at youtube. Looks like they’ve started taking down comments that disagree. Only 12 comments at present.
This ad is like voting for Barry….your gonna get phucked and a double dose when you get your bill for “free Obummer” care young punks … And wonder what all the fuss was about double penetration nights then having to go to the Dr. To get some cure!
I just went to YouTube to read some of the comments (Friday a.m.). There were only two pages worth of comments (second page only had 2 comments), and the majority of the comments were positive.
So was there some scrubbing going on last night? Maybe so, but no one has taken down the video yet.
I bet Rush BLAST this today, and so he should!
Yes, I just checked it out – and nearly all the comments are positive. Many are kinda creepy too. I left one early today, it simply said “CRINGE” – and that is not in the thread.
So I left another in moderation, with many more words – I am certain that will not be approved through. Pretty sad when the obama campaign has to stoop to moderating comments that are not supportive to a commercial which is demeaning to young women.
They should just pull that offensive piece of vulgarity.
It’s an ugly ad, “acted” by a unattractive buck-toothed he/girl, with the most ludicrous verbal imagery that could possibly have been used to insult the intelligence of young women.
yes, they scrubbed them. All negative reaction gone…but look at the likes vs. dislikes.
The far left are imploding now and this ad proves it. THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHY this ad will backfire for them. They will not understand it.
You know why?
In their circles, 100% of their peers, the people they talk to, identify with, they ARE sex addled walking vaginas, diddling each other endlessly, aborting their fetuses on a regular basis, and buying the birth control like it was candy.
To them, they can’t comprehend why ALL women don’t have the same concerns.
THEY THOUGHT THIS AD WAS GOING TO RESONATE WITH ALL YOUNG WOMEN.
To them, even the CONSERVATIVE women are secretly sex crazed nymphomaniacs and this WOULD REACH THEM…
Sorry, folks, pornos are not documentaries.
I first saw that video floating around Twitter, and it quickly built up steam and folks were genuinely horrified. It seems like a parody or something a deranged fan would do.
But everything about OFA has been creepy. Those gross pictures with words written on the person’s hand, the obsession with abortion, and now this. Someone on Fox&Friends this morning said this stuff isn’t even small-ball politics. It’s mini-golf. It’s grasping at straws.
My dad, who had been a bit of an eyeore, has come around. He doesn’t see how this will be close.
Speaking of, a bit of a PA ground report from my dad…
Yesterday, one of our neighbors was having work done by PPL (the electric co.) and had to run lines under our property. Being a gentleman, instead of just ripping up ground, he found my dad (who is obsessed with his lawn and was mowing it for the last time), and asked him. They walked over to the area where the work would be done, which is where we have all of our political signs.
“I like your signs,” the PPL guy said. So this got them to chatting about the election. The PPL guy mentioned knowing a bunch of union guys (Yellow truck drivers, I believe, so likely Teamster) who are all fired up to vote for Romney/Ryan, in spite of what their union “betters” believe.
Then the PPL guy goes on to mention a stop he made a week ago. The customer was a black man who started engaged him in political talk. “So, how about this election?” Not wanting to offend the man, he gave a generic answer, only to have the guy launch into an angry tirade against Obama saying how they need to kick him out of the White House on November 6.
Sure, these are just a couple of anecdotes, but this is Northeastern PA, Luzerne County, and I think it says a lot.
There are hardly any signs for Obama. I’ve seen all of 2. My neighbor to the left and across the street. There across the street neighbor is a hispanic family, who are very nice, and I think took the sign to humor the other neighbor who is, as my dad calls him, “a contrarian.” (he compared him to Ron Paul voters.) I think he’s just a retired teacher, a completely indoctrinated by the unions leftist. Regardless, that’s all I’ve seen. All over town, my neighborhood, it’s Romney/Ryan.
Oh, and Team Romney is going to kick butt on election day. I did the conference call for the Election Day Task Force last night and there were over 5000 people on the call. They had over 10000 people sign-up in the last two days. Their plan is reportedly far more technilogically advanced than OFA’s. Don’t believe the lame hype about OFA having a better ground game. Between the incognito efforts of the Tea Party and the hyper organization of the Romney/Ryan team, Republicans and Conservatives and the like have this covered.
I envision creepy David Axelrod coming up with this.
Hi Kevin,
Thanks for all the good work! Your sight is fabulous and I recently hit your tip jar.
I’m from NJ and I can tell you that NJ is definitely in play! The Romney campaign called me yesterday for a donation. I told them not to ignore NJ, because the Tea Party is VERY well organized here and with Christie as our Governor Republicans are VERY motivated. In fact, we can hardly get Romney/Ryan signs here. The campaign told me that the demand is so high, that they’ve run out of a lot of stuff–buttons, bumper stickers, lawn signs, etc.
What really convinced me that NJ is hotly in play was the Chik-fil-a incident over the summer. The Chik-fil-a Paramus Park (huge mall in the north of the state) had 3,000 people waiting in line. That’s Bergen County–which is solidly blue.
It will be a beautiful thing to see NJ turn red for the first time since the early 90s…and watch all the leftist’s heads explode…
The more I see this video, the more it pisses me off.
I am from Michigan and I worked in the auto industry right out of college. I was one of 20 women in our building that employed close to 350 people. I was harassed DAILY, but I did my work as best as I could, fought the harassment with humor and earned respect in my position. I was also promoted very quickly because I was a darn hard worker. You had to be very tough to work in the automotive industry as a woman – constant harassment. Boy, could I tell you some stories….
This woman demeans every woman out there – diminishing us all to uteri and vaginas. I fought hard against that when I was working (I’m raising kids now) and that was REAL harassment – not this “I want my birth control free” crap.
I am so angry about this I can’t even focus on what I want to say. Maybe I’ll be more clear later when I calm down.
Someone over at Ace mentioned this a week or so ago:
“The country is currently being run by liberal college students”
It’s really as simple as that. The grown-ups are all out to lunch.
Isn’t it interesting that this ad came out the same day CNN published this study about ovulating women & voting? http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2012/10/26/cnn-publishes-then-deletes-story-that-says-ovulation-affects-if-women-vote/
These people insult intelligent women and it is a joke; anyone succombing to this moronic manipulation belongs to this weird, odd group and they lack self pride and recognition of being a truely, independent, intelligent modern woman.
Kevin – first and foremost I love you and all you do. We’re totally friends like that. (I especially love your writing about the great city of cleveland; although i’m from nj I grew up and still am a huge browns fan and have been going to cle at least once a year with my dad for a game. I love the town and its people and your heartfelt writing about it never fails to bring a smile)
If you want footage for what happens after the death star gets hit, I suggest the part in Space Balls when the big flying statue of liberty is about to explode, and everyone is frantically running for the escape pods, including the circus clowns and dancing bears. I think that should sum up the dnc on nov 7.
keep doing what you do!
This is something that needs to be passed along to everyone you know. I know this will make a difference in the hearts and minds of anyone still considering voting for obama.
I watched this last night on the Beck show. It’s an interview with Charles Woods, the father of Ty Woods who was one of the Navy Seals who was killed in Benghazi. The father was talking about what happened at Andrews Air Force Base when his son’s body and the others bodies were brought back. You are NOT going to believe what happened. This interview reveals unbelievable information, utterly disgusting information. It also reveals that what obamma said during the second debate when Candy and obama joined forces to lie that obama said Benghazi was a terrorist attack is an absolute lie. Pay attention to what Hillary said to Charles Woods. Furthermore, you can’t even begin to imagine what that dirtbag Biden said.
FYI, Charles Woods is going to be on Beck’s radio show today, I believe during the 3rd hour which is 11:00 a.m. EST. Please check this out and pass this along. This could really be a game changer.
http://www.theblaze.com/stories/joe-biden-to-father-of-former-navy-seal-killed-in-benghazi-did-your-son-always-have-balls-the-size-of-cue-balls/
An article on Breitbart claims that the CIA post in Benghazi called for help THREE times during the attack. This gives credence to the rumor that the death of the ambassador was an Obama political ploy gone bad.
http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Peace/2012/10/26/Report-no-gutsy-call-in-Benghazi
Each time they were told to stand down.
Obama’s base is too ignorant to realize the incredible insult he bestows on women. Anyone with some knowledge of history would immediately think of the Droit du Seigneur, the right of a noble to take the virginity of his serfs’ daughters.
So we now have this president asking our young women to prostitute themselves for him…
Everyone needs to go to this link to hear Beck’s interview of Charles Woods. He’s the father of Ty Woods, the Navy Seal who was killed in Benghazi. The interview is about what transpired when the families of those slain were returned to Andrews Air Force Base where they were met by obama, Biden, and Hillary. You are not going to believe what you hear. It is despicable. make sure you listen to the whole thing and fyi, Charles will be on Beck’s radio show this a.m. during the third hour, 11:00 EST. If word of this gets out I guarantee the obama supporters will be sickened by this.
http://www.theblaze.com/stories/joe-biden-to-father-of-former-navy-seal-killed-in-benghazi-did-your-son-always-have-balls-the-size-of-cue-balls/
I would have punched Biden right in the face for that comment.
Does anyone else think we are living in upside-down world?
In Washington State there is an initiative on the ballot for gay marriage so that is what will rally the base—because it isn’t Obama. I live in Seattle and I don’t even see half the Obama bumper stickers I saw in 2008. Ironically, I see more of the 08 vintage stickers than the 2012 ones. Yesterday I saw a neighborhood storefront plastered with FORWARD and Obama signs and it was a place related to health insurance biz—so vested interest in Obamacare.
Seattle has been known to steal elections, so it will be up to “anywhere but Seattle to make it big enough so they can’t cheat.
I’m in Eastern Washington and have not seen one Obama yard sign. I have seen a few Obama 2012 bumper stickers. I have my Romney/Ryan yard sign out and it has not been disturbed. We are a pretty conservative area, and I only hope we can outnumber the leftists in the Seattle area.
When Franken “won” the Minnesota Senate race by finding new ballots until he had enough, I called it “pulling a Gregoire.”
I’ll never forget how Gregoire was rallying some supporters after the first recount, and she noted how small the margin was (having shrunk since the first count), and she said, “We can make up that difference!”
I think those were her exact words, and they were quite revealing. Even if she didn’t exactly mean to say they would “make up” votes, the idea was the same: Another recount was a way to find the needed votes, not discern the actual will of the voters.
I think you’re right about most of what you’re saying, Kevin. I’ve seen a lot of politics in my day and I thought the last four plus years had topped it all, but this summer has been an eye-opener. I sure looks like the dam is breaking in a big way against Obama. I mean when you see people on various sites media or entertainment sites defending Palin’s recent comments about Obama’s lies and there’s a strong suspicion that they ain’t conservatives or even right leaning in any shape or form… well, let’s just say a major shift is happening.
People are absolutely fed up with all of it.
The creepiest thing about the video… Obama apparent wants girls young enough to be his daughter to contemplate sex with him
TGIF! totally agree that the Lena Dunham ad is the sinker for obama’s campaign. i can’t wait to see the polls show the effects of this ad & then watch the desperation escalate. obama will be remembered not only the worst US president but also as the record setter for the worst campaign trainwreck in history. I’m fortunate to live in a red state, but we have our share of wackos too. not sure how far this story got, but in my state, some obama supporter vandalized her car & lit herself on fire suffering burns on 60% of her body saying it was a hate crime because she was wearing an obama t-shirt. police quickly investigated the incident and informed the public that the “victim” was definitely not wearing an obama shirt nor was there ANY evidence to support ANY of her claims. i can’t wait til nov 7th!
Kevin: That unskewed polls poll is very encouraging. I so wish you could infuse some of your optimism via osmosis or something, to my husband. I too, (especially after Scott Walker’s recall win here — 7 points as opposed to his 5 point win in 2010) think Mitt Romney will be our next President. Not sure about Romney winning in Wisconsin, but Ohio will more than make up for our 10 electoral votes.
As for this Lena Whatshername, I feel sorry for the future mature woman she will become — a mother who has to endure the shame of being the actress that made this ridiculous commercial in 2012.
Mom in Wisconsin
Kevin, thanks for the link from Unskewed polls. Wow! Would that be wonderful or what? I would have thought Romney taking Michigan would have been out of the question, but with the Detroit News endorsing him, and the Free Press going against the union-sponsored constitutional amendments there, it may be possible. Perhaps that would give Michigan’s governor the courage to pass right-to-work legislation and get Michigan’s economy going again.
I’m going to be up there next week, so I’ll send ground reports.
I also think the turn in Iowa is great! The Des Moines Register was clearly ticked by the White House calling and telling them that their long phone interview with them had to be off the record. I don’t know what he said, but they obviously don’t want anyone else to know. Way to give Romney the endorsement, Barack!
If you want to seal the deal for Romney in Ohio, please get this info out to anyone/everyone you know in Ohio. this needs to be part of their ground game.
Jeep, an Obama favorite, looks to shift production to China.
In another potential blow for the president’s Ohio reelection campaign, Jeep, the rugged brand President Obama once said symbolized American freedom, is considering giving up on the United States and shifting production to China.
Such a move would crash the economy in towns like Toledo, Ohio, where Jeeps are made and supplied, and rob the community of the economic security they thought Obama’s auto bailout assured them.

Oh, BTW: I think you’re thinking of “Space Balls”, with the robots running around in circles, bumping into each other. “Space Balls” is my all-time favorite comedy movie. Mel Brooks is a hoot!!
Good Morning, Kevin!
I just saw this ad this morning and it’s kind of insane. And inane. Creepy too. I really cannot believe this is an official ad, not something some ‘helpful’ celebrity put together.
My state is Arkansas and they will be going hugely for Romney, but that’s no surprise. What I found interesting is that last time around I saw a fair number of obama signs in my neighborhood, this year all for a long time all I saw were signs for the local mayors race/city council/the occasional state rep. I didn’t see ANY signs about the national candidates until a week or two ago when two or three Romney signs popped up. A few days later one Obama sign popped up. That’s it. If you weren’t looking carefully, you wouldn’t realize a national election was even happening!
John from New Jersey:
I live in Central NJ. I drive everyday on service calls.
In 2008:
The Obama/Biden signs looked like the poppi fields in Wizard of Oz.
Fast forward 2012:
I have seen 1(one) Obama/Biden Lawn sign.
More thoughts:
My town is completely run by Democrats (pop. 20,000), our Mayor was a delegate at the DNC in Charlotte this past August and he DOESN’T have a Obama/Biden sign.
There is not one sign in my whole town other then a Ron Paul Sign.
I think that everyone here is keeping their power dry.
We have a large Asian Indian population (7000) and I know many of them, they are business conservatives.
I honestly think that our town will go Romney/Ryan this year.
I just recently found your site and I love it. Finally somebody who gets it about conservatives being negative – we get enough of that from the left why should we do it to ourselves? I wanted to share with you what my daughter brought up two days ago as it really struck me odd that I hadn’t noticed. We live in Georgia which is considered Democrat most of the time but we live in an area that is very Republican. What she noticed and commented on was that there were very few political signs out and about, and by very few I mean almost none. Not sure just what that means but it does seem odd. I lived in a largely black middle class neighborhood and I know that most are not voting for Obummer. I voted two days ago and there was a 45 minute wait to vote early, other areas have had 2 hour waits. I believe like you that Romney will win and bigger than anybody could imagine. I think people are sick and tired of his antics and desperation which this ad shows. Thank you for your common sense which isn’t so common any more.
Kevin -
How do you KNOW when you’ve made the Big Time as a conservative blogger?
….when Michelle Malkin steals your ideas:
http://michellemalkin.com/2012/10/26/my-first-time-the-democrats-lady-parts-jump-the-shark/
I sent the link to this video to some women I know who have daughters in Catholic School. I encouraged them to send the link to everyone they know who has daughters – especially daughters in Catholic School. One thing that is frustrating these women this election cycle is the number of Catholic women they know who are still planning to vote for Obama. Maybe this will push them over the edge to either vote Romney or not vote.
Every potential voter of EVERY age should know about this video – it might just be the final nail in the coffin for anything that remains of Bathhouse Barry’s dubious prospects. I plan to casually bring it up, in all its disgusting detail, to anyone with whom I happen to – even peripherally – talk politics, in these final days before the election.
Feed the landslide….
checking in from Minnesota Kevin – have seen SEVERAL more Romeny signs in my well traveled perimeter in Dakota county – the one neighbor that had bathhouse Barry sign took it down…maybe they wised up?
Going to participate in a Romney Sign Wave tomorrow on very busy overpass – looks like the turnout will be huge – I was even thinking of calling the local teevee station but they probably wont come – oh well!
BTW – my hubby and I were talking about Peggy Noonan this morning and I was saying how much I couldnt stand her and he was kind of defending her when lo and behold he read your STELLAR article on miss Piggy – my hubby is addicted to Hillbuzz now!
ROMNEY iin a LANDSLIDE! take that to the bank!
Well you can take my word for it, after many door knocks and phone banking Virginia will go Romney and IMO it will go 5 points Romney, they say Leesburg and Prince William are the “deciders” well they are ROMNEY all the time, Northern VA is still 50/50 because of Arlington and Alexandria but the other two counties will swamp Obama’s 50 and run the table for Virginia! btw I believe the final outcome at the end of the day will be 61-39!
Here’s where I admit that I had no clue where the phrase “jumped the shark” came from. I learn so much at Hillbuzz.
I knew this ad was bad, but in a campaign that has been this below the belt, however gross, I just saw it as MOTS. This is indeed obscene and revolting, but so was that ad where the man claimed Romney ‘killed’ his wife, or all those mendacious misrepresentations of Romney’s business life, the distortions about his taxes, etc. It’s ALL grotesque – every bit of it.
I think the Mormon attacks will soon be coming out – and already has at some sites, legalinsurrection.com has a story out on it. The ‘tolerant left’. Jerks and hypocrites. Hello – the Constitution says ‘there shall be no religious test’. Guess there is no part of the Constitution they won’t ignore.
But I am relieved to see that there is finally a line they can cross that their own can discern as LOW and crass, just like I have over every nefarious move Obama has made for years.
Ummm…. who the hell is Lena Dunham? Is she related to Obama? Wasn’t that his mom’s maiden name?
Presley, I was wondering the same thing.
“Had Obama done this (and I cast no aspersions as to why he might not have…I’m not HillBuzz, after all) he would undoubtedly have heard the classic Nicks song “Gold Dust Woman”. And he would have learned a couple of things that would have served him well in the closing days of this campaign.”
http://minx.cc/?post=334265
Just saw this. The least he could have done is to put the link to your article in the word “HillBuzz”
Beck just had the father of the Navy Seal who was killed, on his program. He read him literal breaking news, something about “the seals were told to stand down”. Everyone has to hear the father’s response.
I had a real shock here on the west side of Cleveland, OH the other day, when I saw a car that had a “NOBAMA” license plate. Not just a sticker, a license plate. Someone paid up the extra fifty dollars for a vanity license plate here in Ohio to use it as a campaign sign. Unfortunately, I was driving alone, so I couldn’t get my camera out and take a picture while driving my own car.
So does this mean Sandra Fluke is Barack Obama’s vestal virgin?
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-10-25/u-s-east-from-washington-to-nyc-at-risk-from-hurricane-sandy.html
I’ve been telling people for years that I would swim across a river of razor blades and rubbing alcohol to vote this guy out…now it looks like I’ll be swimming flooded streets and parkouring over fallen branches, overturned cars, and telephone poles. Why doesn’t my stupid state have early voting? Ugh!
Whatever this storm brings to Virgina will not make any of us conservatives stop our trek to the voting booth, lefties on the other hand will expect others to take care of their vote for them. They will look at the weather and roll over and go to sleep, they are lazy by nature!
They should have at least gotten a girl who looks like a girl to do that ad, not a girl who could pass for a 14 year old boy. But then again, obama does like the boys.
Chicago Teachers Union Rank-and-File Reps Refuse to Endorse Obama
http://townhall.com/columnists/kyleolson/2012/10/25/chicago_teachers_union_rankandfile_reps_refuse_to_endorse_obama
I live in Pennsylvania and I hate to admit it but I know plenty of people who voted for Obama in 2008. I speak to these people on a very regular basis and thus far I have found that only two of those people will be repeating their error of 2008. The rest, for the most part, are going to stay at home and not vote rather than voting for either candidate. My take is go ahead and stay home. That is the same as a vote for Romney/Ryan. The Ministry of Truth is ignoring the fact that PA is very much in play and will, in my humble opinion, end up in the Romney/Ryan column on the evening of Nov. 6. If you see PA going that way you can count on a stunning victory for Romney.
I showed that video to my 17 year old daughter, and she was horrified that the leader of the free world would put out that kind of crap. She said “So this is what the left thinks of women”. Yep.
It’s desperation, pure and simple. But so stupid. It’s almost as if they are intentionally throwing this thing away.
I’m in Southern Nevada and the signs for Romney v. Obama are about 3:1 – this would be in the Vegas-Henderson area, there are more Obama signs in McMansion areas and also houses with unkempt yards. Yard signs are more 2:1 in nicely kept tract house developments. New Romney signs spring up daily. Most of my Democrat friends show a high expectation that Obama will win, they still think that he’s doing a great job, and Benghazi is a big deal because Romney made it one. Their views are reflected in a typical comments section of Huffington Post. Thankfully, I have other things to talk about with these friends. And thankfully Nevada only has 6 delegates and terrible voter turnout, but that may change.
Voting and sex do have ONE thing in common:
Sex with the wrong partner very often can be a cause of lifelong shame and regret.
Voting for the wrong candidate very often can be a cause of lifelong shame and regret.
I said this in a previous post on this video, but I’ll repeat it because I think it hits the nail (not to brag)- this is the true War on Women- the left sees women as just walking vaginas. When I think of women I know who will be voting for the first time, I get more angry about this video. The left feigned outrage when Rush referred to Sandra Fluke as a slut. Understandable, but this ad implies it about all women. NOW- ARE YOU THERE? HOW ABOUT DROPPING THE LEFTIST IDEOLOGY ONCE AND DEFEND ALL WOMEN?
Brief words from Cincinnati- I’m seeing more Obama yard signs in the last few weeks. Not to be an eeyore or the like, and it really doesn’t alarm me much- I take it as a sign that Democrats are getting more enthusiastic after the debates than they were before. When I canvass, we contact voters who are weakly affiliated Repubs or voters who vote irregularly. They’re mostly for Romney, and seem very fired up.
In Ohio so far….
Democrats – 220,000 fewer early votes from 2008 numbers.
Republicans- 30,000 more early votes from 2008.
250,000 difference in our favor.
Obama won Ohio in 2008 by 260,000 votes.
275,000 views on youtube but only 13 comments? I think they’re scrubbing a lot of the comments.
I would die of embarrassment if that girl in the ad was my daughter.
This ad has lit a firestorm under a lot of people. It’s not just women who have been degraded, but the beauty of procreation.
Thank you for your efforts. For mine, not just blogging about all this, but supporting my friends on facebook and other places who are assaulted and abandoned every day for speaking up against the regime.
Posted this earlier here, but it seems to have disappeared. When I went to YouTube this a.m. to read the comments, there were only two pages worth and the second page had only a couple of comments on it.
So maybe some of these were scrubbed overnight?
I sure hope Rush blasts this in his program today!
Did you all know that one of the characters on the show, “Girls,” is NBC news anchor Brian Williams’ daughter, Allison Williams? YUK. And another one, Zosia Mamet, is the daughter of playwright, essayist, screenwriter and film director, David Mamet. David Mamet’s daughter being involved with this poor copycat version of “Sex In the City” I can understand. Isn’t he the guy that came out with some flimsy, brain-dead, lame excuse for supporting Obama recently (can’t remember what it was, it was so lame) but man, Brian Williams’ daughter? Jeesh. I guess good ole Brian and wife Jane Gillian Stoddard didn’t do such a good job raising little Allison…..Otherwise she’d have chosen her associates and professional projects a little better. But, then, what can you expect from a bunch of leftie parents? Especially when one that’s employed by NBC! That little girl giggle at the end of the ad really turned my stomach. Yeah, man, we really take you seriously, little airhead girl. You’re really gonna make it in this world. NOT!
Brian Williams and his compatriots in the State Run Media are nothing more then small Hollywood stars, it started with Cronkite and his “superstardom” they stopped being journalists in the 60s and started being media “stars”. Cronkite ended up on an episode of Mary Tyler Moore, if the internet was around then we could have called out the end of journalism in that moment.
David Mamet came out as a conservative. No way would he support el jefe. His article: http://www.villagevoice.com/2008-03-11/news/why-i-am-no-longer-a-brain-dead-liberal/
He changed his mind when he started reading conservatives like Thomas Sowell. He also wrote an excellent book on his conservative transformation called “The Secret Knowledge.”
His book is excellent! Everyone must read it. He is a gifted writer and articulates his transition from leftist to conservative brilliantly.
Last night I went to have a look at her wiki page. I quoted the “parent pedigrees” but I still could not figure out why the royal carpet was rolled out for her. You just filled in the blanks. I wondered why this girl, when there are so many other smart people, was allowed to build that and others weren’t. On her site are a laundry list of nominations etc. Realize now she’s got connection in the media glitterati
Also, put out a lot of questions to the 18-30 group, wondering if they’d seen the ad and what the thought. So far the feedback is “ugh, she’s a hipster, wish hipsters would go away” as the central theme along with “it’s lena dunham, everything that comes out of her mouth is bizarre” but in an annoyed fashion.
Other feedback I’m getting is that this age group was disappointed that the third debate went the way it did. They aren’t saying they like Mitt, they are saying they wished he’d fought back and that this might have been his only chance to bring up libya with the president and he failed”. Of course, the “he’s going to win” theme was stated after this but I was kind of surprised this came out, that they seem to on some level know about it. I think this group right now is very confused.
I’m just reporting the feedback. Kevin I am hoping you will interpret it for me and give me some advice on how to respond.
black redneck – thank you for pointing out my error! Yes, you are right: David Mamet did indeed change his mind and become conservative. I made the mistake of confusing him with David Lynch, filmaker, television director, etc. He DID come out with a really bizarre reason for supporting Obama. You can read about it here:
http://www.flavorwire.com/338540/read-david-lynchs-exceedingly-lynchian-obama-endorsement.
Thanks for the links to Mamet’s essay and his book. I will check them out.

Operation: Crush the Popular Vote for Bathhouse Barry
My ground report is for California. As HB says, if you are reading this, then you are the resistance. I’m asking Resistance members behind enemy lines to step up and take action. We may not be able to stop Bathhouse Barry from winning CA, NY, or any other lefty stronghold but we CAN depress his popular vote numbers. AlGore and the other lefties whined endlessly about the “unfairness” of AlGore winning the popular vote and losing the election. You can bet that they will use this meme against Romney to declare his win “illegitimate” and claim that his win does not give him a “mandate” to repeal ObamaScare, etc. They also use this meme to trash the Electoral College and to get states to pass laws to allow the winner of pop vote to get the EC votes (regardless of the actual results of the state vote).
Recently, I had an intriguing article about polling and election projection. Let’s say that Bathhouse Barry won 3 million more popular votes than John McCain in 2008. I just sort of assumed that the 3 million votes were spread out (somewhat evenly) over all 50 states. Wrong! The writer pointed out that more than 1 million of those votes came just from California because El Jefe won 55% – 45%. So if BB got more than 1 million extra votes from CA and 1 million more from NY then we Resistance members CAN have a significant impact. I believed the GOTV effort was pointless in CA until I realized that the Resistance in CA and NY are behind enemy lines and we are the only ones who can do this job. And I knew that I was not alone in CA because of two significant events this week.
1) I was driving on the 405 freeway near west la, Santa Monica which is crazy, lefty territory. I saw graffitti on the freeway that said in big red letters “Obama-nomics = Trickle Up Poverty.”
2) I went to a rally last saturday in San Diego titled “Stand up for Religious Freedom.” There were rallies held in 130 cities across the country to stand against the HHS attacks on religious freedom. There were about 200 – 300 of us standing in the rain listening to the speakers. That night on the news, I heard about dueling rallies. The first rally was against Romney in La Jolla (which I had not heard of before) and there were about 15-20 people at the beach talking about Romney don’t like poor people (which is funny considering how expensive La Jolla is). Then they switched to the rally I attended and I realized that we had 10x as many people at our rally and the local press was giving more time and attention to the antiRomney freaks.
So let’s GOTV in CA and NY (insert Howard Dean Scream). Here is a link to CA maps showing how a majority of our counties are red (conservative), Barry’s election was a fluke, and l like the detail of the 2004 Bush v Kerry map. The lefty votes and illegal immigration vote in San Francisco and Los Angeles counties may give the state to Bathhouse Barry, but we can certainly drag down his popular vote numbers and destroy the meme so that Romney can fulfill his campaign promises next year.
http://springtimeofnations.blogspot.com/2012/09/south-california-statehood-movements.html
black redneck,
Thanks for your message. As a Republican in CA, I’ve often felt my vote was merely symbolic. Now, I can take pride in being part of the “resistance”. We are, indeed, behind enemy lines. That being the case, we can be very, very effective. I’ve put up lawn signs in my yard, and have signed up for Romney’s election day task force. I’ve already cast my absentee ballot for Romney. I’ve taught my high school kids how to counter their leftie teachers’ rhetoric in class. They have friends who join in with making fun of Obama and complain about how Obama’s continued policies will be passed on to them, by no fault of their own.
Stay strong in Cali BR, know you’re not alone. We’re fighting the good fight here on the leftie-coast!
Is it just a coincidence that they use a girl for this ad whose last name is Dunham- same as bathhouse Barry’s mother?
Makes it seem somewhat…incestuous….no?
Kevin, first let me say how much I enjoy your “in your face” humorous, yet insightful commentary. I don’t remember how I stumbled upon this site-but love me some daily Kevin!
-I am in southeastern Michigan-in the middle of the tricounty auto belt and union stronghold. It feels very different here than the 2008 fanaticism I was surrounded by then. Romney signs outnumber Obama around me though overall signage is down for both sides. The super O supporters have descended to full on anger filled rampages on the boards I’ve been posting on with your tips. (never did that before your encouragement to engage, so thanks for that)
Additionally, I have a son and sister who work in a GM plant and are union members. They report that support is down for O in the plant and that’s apparent because there is just a small angry group spewing hatred for Romney supporters. The majority of employees are being quiet about the election-which they claim is a sign that they’ve switched their support to RR.
How I wish Romney would come to Michigan. I think it would have a huge impact. Just for fun I like to mention O is taking their vote for granted, after all he hasn’t bothered to show up and thank them for supporting him. That gets some blood vessels bursting.
I still think Romney can take Michigan!
I live in Marquette, MI, in the Upper Peninsula. Here in town there are WAY too many obama signs. As much as I love this town, there are too many university professors around here. But there are a few Romney signs, and more and more are popping up. We have one in our yard, along with an empty chair. Yesterday another Romney sign showed up at a house up the street from us. Yay!
Once you get out of town, there are TONS of Romney signs, and a lot fewer obama signs. So it’s looking better once you get out of Marquette.
My husband was talking to another Romney supporter who knows people who plan to vote for obama. He said they told him they didn’t finish watching the debate on Monday night because obama was losing, and they knew if they watched to the end, they would end up voting for Romney. As he said, “What can you do with people like this?!” Oh yeah, they’re all on welfare and food stamps, too. It figures.
“The Democratic Party urgently needs your help. We’re just weeks from the most important election in a generation and every single thing Democrats like you and I spent a lifetime fighting for is on the line. Republican Super PACs are pounding President Obama and Democratic candidates with millions of dollars of vicious attack ads. And, they could tip the balance of the election for Tea Party extremists. That would be a disaster for America and we can’t let it happen. We must close the funding gap, It’s up to you and me to make this happen. Please rush an emergency contribution right away while there’s still time. President Obama needs a new Democratic Majority to get America moving again.”
Just for fun, who wrote this letter, guess?
(I’m going to put the link to the article in the next box, so the link won’t give it away)

Having lived up in the Northwest in Southwest (Clark County)Washington State- I Still have family and friends there who have said that their vote will go to Romney/Ryan!…….So with this I have a good feeling about Washington going RED this election cycle. If you can break the hold on the Tri Counties…Snohomish- King- and Pearce counties…Everett-Seattle-Tacoma areas) you can flip the State.
Remember that the current Gov. Gregoire was given the seat through fraud and cheaters.
Thanks Kevin for your continued hard work. I have passed your website to family memebers and hopefully they will pass it on to their links.
I live in Ohio and saw Mitt Romney in Cincinnati yesterday. The setting was a manufacturing warehouse and the place was packed. I was really encouraged to see a lot of young people there (people in their 20s). The lady sitting next to me introduced herself and told me she was Jewish. She was probably in her 70s. She said she voted for Obama last time but now she is scared to death and is voting for Romney. She is very afraid of what would happen to health care if Obamacare is not repealed. She also was upset about the way O has treated Israel. She said many of her friends feel the same way and are voting Romney.
Governor Romney gave a great speech and spoke from the heart. I was struck by how genuine he came across. He said this country is in trouble, but he is ready to enact big change to turn this thing around. I believe him and the crowd did too. R/R2012!!

Contrast the “first time” ad with Ann Romney on Rachel Ray’s show talking about feeding the Romney clan. Here is a woman who is confident that her husband loves her and values her highly, just for her. She says he told her when she first diagnosed with MS that he didn’t care if they had to eat cereal and toast the rest of their lives so long as she was okay. She says that was when they first started eating Costco broiled chicken (one of my fave’s too) because she wasn’t well enough to cook dinner many times. I have to say as a woman Mitt Romney’s appeal to me is, in part, that he loves his wife, deeply and forever. I’d rather be someone’s beloved wife than someone’s plaything for a night.
Just heard Bruce Springsteen is doing a concert here in Pittsburgh tomorrow. (dont ask me how I missed that news). Tomorrow afternoon he’s doing a special “get out the vote” event for obama and you can get free tickets from any obama campaign office. Now wouldn’t it be great to go get a bunch of tickets and simply toss those tickets in the garbage. Wouldn’t it be great if Springsteen shows up to an empty house!
That’s the style Carlene, that’s the style!
I spent a lot of my life in the upper great plains, where people vote democrat a lot not because the democrat party represents their values, but they still believe democrats are for the little guy and they MUST have the farm programs and isn’t it so great that our senators bring home lots of federal dollars to our state…and have never stopped to think how democrat policies hurt them or looked at what the democrat party truly is or what they truly stand for. This is why MN votes democrat and why until the tea party, all of ND’s senators and rep were democrats for many years, and why MT elects democrat senators and governors and Tom Daschle came from SD.
But the tide is starting to turn and I’m guessing ads like this won’t sit well with folks there. True, MT, SD, and ND are safe Romney, but there might be downticket effects as people become more disgusted with the democrat party. Barack Obama and his cabal of radical leftists have pulled the curtain back on the democrat party for some of these folks, and ads like this won’t help. And with critical Senate races in MT and ND, this is a good thing for our side.
My son was asking me about all the D reps/Senators from your area, and I told him, “I really don’t know.” Now I have an answer, Thanks, and I hope you do see downticket effects. I’m hoping we see it for Tom Smith here in PA.
I’ve been saying for weeks that Romney will win Michigan. He’ll also grab Wisconsin, Iowa, and Colorado.
While I’m not as optimistic as “unskewed polling”, I do think that we’re looking at Romney getting at least 300 EV.
This may be called a “Doom Antidote”, or maybe a Ground Report. You decide.
Let me give you a background on one hobby of mine. I collect lapel pins. (You know, those pins that you see in souvenir shops and other places.) My first pins were my Girl Scout ones, but I have been collecting them since I was in college. I used to wear my favorite ones on my coat while at college. One day, well after I graduated and got married, I realized I had enough to place them in a board – about twenty of them. My wonderful hubby found the black covers for some old big speakers, cut it in half, reinforced the black cloth on it and made it the perfect board to place my pins as I added more into it. I used it for many years, until I had reached the point in which the board was just too full to add any more. I bought a 20 x 24 art canvas from my local Hobby Lobby, my hubby spray-painted it black, and then I added all the pins. They’re on display at my house.
But guess what? I always find more pins. People give them to me, or I buy some. I could only fit 154 pins in my old canvas: I now have 160. My niece saw my pins at home and sent me a few from her trip to Disney World. That’s how I knew I needed a new canvas. So, I went back to Hobby-Lobby and bought it. My wonderful hubby spray-painted it black, again.
And then, I took the liberty to add a couple more pins to my collection, especially because I knew they were going to be, shall we say, historic. I went to the RR campaign store online and bought a couple of pins. I ordered them on Tuesday, 10/16. Free shipping, guys. (Take advantage.) When a company offers free shipping, the order takes about seven business days. They can charge a little more and that’s how they cover it. So, the RR campaign store did that. No problem, I said.
The pins haven’t arrived yet. I’m getting a bit antsy about it. I checked my e-mails to see if they had sent any messages regarding my order that I should know about. Nothing. But I found the order confirmation. I read it from top to bottom, and then I discovered this:
“Recent high demand”… Hmmmmm…
Is it “recent” as of October 4th? That was the day of the first Presidential Debate… The day in which the entire Nation saw The One for the total Emperor with No Clothes that he truly is… and saw Mitt Romney as the Poster Man for Total Sobriety. The Nation was able to see that they had for President an Empty Chair, a Petulant Boy, when they could well have The Grown-up And Sober Man in charge.
I figured the RR campaign store had stocked with lots of campaign items to sell, and thought they would have enough until November. I don’t believe for a minute anyone at the RR online store expected to see demand for their products rise as it has for the past three to four weeks. They have been caught short.
Now compare that to the news that The One’s online store has been having a Clearance Sale – 30 percent off lots of items! – and you begin to get the picture here.
The One has the designer purses – literally. Big names in fashion design have made items to sell at The One’s online store, probably at the behest of Ana “Cruella De Vil” Wintour. Yet, they can’t sell their stuff – and now are begging their supporters to clear their inventories? Yet, the RR campaign store can’t keep up with demand!
This is telling.
The RR campaign knows the laws of economics – unlike The One’s. (Of course, The One just said this week that he never was good at math). That is the root of the problem. They never were good at math. Leftists (Communists) can argue against “the One Percent”, “the wealthy” and Capitalism all they want, but they cannot win in the battle against the one thing that always seems to escape them: MATH. MATH is the reason Obamacare is going to send this nation into the abyss. MATH is the reason why we have a sixteen-trillion dollar debt that we don’t know how to get out of. MATH is the reason why they got as scared as Dracula to garlic the moment the announcement for Paul Ryan – Mr. Math, the one man who has argued successfully against The One before 2012 – was made.
MATH is the reason why The One is not going to win this election. They though they had the consumers for their fares, but in this horrible economy, even their own supporters can’t afford the designer wares. But people can’t get enough of Romney and Ryan!
This is how I know The One is not only going to lose – he’s going to be so humiliated that his fate afterwards is going to be worse than Jimmy Carter. The One is going to be sent packing so monumentally, it is going to be taught in Poli-Sci courses at colleges across the country for the next sixty years. And I will enjoy it when I hear those professors fess up to their role in supporting a man who got so creamed by the American Electorate that they had to spend the next year apologizing to everyone who told them just the opposite.
Rommey/Ryan are going to win by a total landslide!
I predict that all of Bathhouse Barry’s merchandise will end up at the cheapest dollar stores in the not too distant future!
Even then, I’ll pass on it. Can’t stand the idiot and don’t want him staring at me again (’cause you know anything regarding BB MUST have his face plastered all over it–ick!).

Saw an official of the Texas government on one of the cable outlets. He basically said they aren’t welcome in his state, a kind of “don’t mess with Texas” statement.
Wish Christie and Cuomo would have officials step forward and do the same.
Apparently, Obama has decided that the best way to spend his money is to buy ad time on the SyFy Channel. It was on during Nightmare on Elm Street 5, if I recall correctly at around 11:30a. It wasn’t the First Time Commercial, but it was about his jobs pamphlet.
Kevin have you seen this? Apparantly the left is sharing some more of its” tolerance” in Wisconsin. This poor guy was on the recieving end. http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/10/25/Another-WI-Beating-This-Time-a-Gay-GOP-Worker-Hospitalized-in-Brutal-Attack
I saw it yesterday. The kids a real fighter, he was taunting his attackers on facebook from his hospital bed. The next time they come after him I hope he has a couple of Marines backing him up.
Hi Kevin. First time post, regular reader since your open letter to George W. Bush in winter of 2009. Minnesota here and just want to let you know that Romney has bought advertising time here. I haven’t seen that many Obama signs here, Bumper stickers are about 1 in every 50 cars on the road and parking lots. More of the vote No on the marriage amendment on yards and bumpers instead. Though I still think Minnesota is a long shot. No republican president has one MN since 1972. And we all know how that went…lol. By the way, love this site!
You can make some of your own campaign stuff here: http://www.itsnotworking.net
Signs are good in Buffalo Grove. Four more Romney signs this morning. Drove through Kildeer and was blown away by thirty-two Romney signs and NO Obama signs.
I am from PA and will be a Poll Watcher the night of the election. Ed Rendall was the former Democatic Mayo and Governor until Republican Tom Corbett was elected in 2011.
Ed Rendall was on the news stating, that if we (Dem’s) don’t get out and vote, the Republicans will sneek over the finish line with out us ever knowing about it. I have never seen him so scared since Philadelphia is mostly Dem’s and never had to worry about PA going for a Republican President.
GO Romney/Ryan!!
A president of the United States was vilified for Iran-Contra. Now we have Syria-al Qaida will the press care?
If these articles in the Canadian Free Press and Front Page Magazine are correct the Obama administration just broke a mess of international agreements and allowed four americans to die in Benghazi to cover it up the illegal movement of arms to Syrian rebels.
So the CIA operational headquarters in Benghazi was destroying only the antique and broken weapons confiscated in Libya . Anything that worked was being shipped to the Syrian rebels. When Russia informed the Obama administration that this activity was being monitored, was destabilizing the middle-east and they were going to take it to the UN the operation was shutdown.
Follow me because this gets real weird – During the attack on Benghazi agents at the CIA Operational Headquarters request to go to the aid of the conciliate multiple times and were ordered to stand down. If fact when Woods and Dougherty and two other who have not been named they were acting against orders.
So ask yourself what is a more logical reason for al-Quida to attack Benghazi? A stupid movie that nobody saw, or shutting off the supply of high tech arms to the Syrian rebels.
And if you are still with me……Was there a better way for the Obama administration to destroy the evidence and get rid of the witnesses of the Benghazi operation than to do nothing during the attack?
http://frontpagemag.com/2012/dgreenfield/benghazigate-we-know-now-who-gave-the-order-not-to-protect-the-consulate/
http://www.canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/50586
If what I surmised here is true you have the CIA and the Obama administration were both involved in the movement of arms in violation of US and international law to al-Quida backed rebels in Syria and possibly the sacrifice of four americans to cover it up.
Here’s the audio interviews with Charles Woods, Navy Seal Ty Woods father. Very sad. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/joe-biden-to-father-of-former-navy-seal-killed-in-benghazi-did-your-son-always-have-balls-the-size-of-cue-balls/
I hope Mr. Woods realizes why the Obama administration trie to convince the American people that a silly obscure video produced by an American Coptic Christian was a fault for the deaths of 4 Americans in Behghazi. Obama’s regime is trying to get Americans to submitt to UN global laws that would restrict our freedoms such as our freedom of speech. The UN is trying to inact a global ban on the Chriticism of Islam. In the past the Obama media has been sucessful in blaming Christians who were only practising thier right to expression for the insane acts of inbreed troglodites in the Muslim world that are so insucure with the lie that Muhammed is a prophet of God that they go into a violent rage whenever anyone questions it.
I called the White the State Department and my Senators and Rep to let them know that the American people know what the Obama regimes agenda was in blaming an innocent Coptic Christian for doing something that is always tolerated and even funded by my tax dolars if it involves disrespect of Christianity (such as “The Piss Christ.”
“And his own staff is not removing those comments from the Obama channel…or closing down comments so no one can leave more.” –
Here’s my crazy conspiracy theory on that: They know he’s going to lose, so they’re creating their own scapegoat. They’ll say, “It wasn’t Obama’s record or his capability. It was that stupid ad that Lena Dunham did. Ya, we kinda approved it, but that was just one little misstep, and it came back to bit us big time, and it’s not fair. But for that, Obama would have had a second term and would have gone down in the history books alongside Lincoln and FDR.”
Here’s what is happening in Pittsburgh, Co-worker got a call from her husband. He was so excited. He has 2 tickets to see Bruce Springsteen tomorrow at Soldiers and Sailors hall. Apparently Springsteen is opening for Obama tomorrow at a rally. She said even though she is not going to vote for Obama this was a good opportunity to see Springsteen live! How many people are going to see an Obama rally because Bruce Springsteen plays for free?!?!?!
The Obama campaign has started to run ads in…..Minnesota?
Yes, folks the home of the Minneapolis RED Star Tribune is now in play.
Southern Alabama/Pensacola Update: Not one Obama sign during 28 mile drive to work. Signs seemed to “double” overnight for RR. Someone also copied me, there is an empty chair on the driveway.
Kevin,
Also checking in from mn (obviously) but let me go through a list of why I think R/R could win in MN here in 2012.
State isn’t as blue as people think, we had a R governor here from 2002-2010 (T-Paw) and came within 8000 votes of getting another one here in the 2010 landslide.
Norm Coleman should still be Senator from here, Franken simply stole that election in 2008, found 1000 votes to go from down 745 on election night to ‘winning’ in court by 312.
We have the strongest 3rd party out of any state in the union (Jesse Ventura was governor from 1998-2002) which mean when Leftists do win its typically with a pluarity somewhere between 42-45% at most sometimes even down in the high 30′s.
There are 2 constitutional amendments on the ballot this time that will definitely increase the voter turnout on our side, gay marriage and voter ID. The social conservatives will turn out for the gay marriage amendment and that will probably be the difference in the election, plus dems here are really demoralized. They also think the senate seat is safe, Amy Klobuchar has no record and is up in every poll by at least 20 points, if they aren’t careful she could be in for a very unpleasant surprise on November 6th
And finally I just heard it on the radio today, Romney just did a massive air buy here in MN. I gaurntee that someone read that unskewed polls site or they had internals that they are within striking distance (5 points or less typically).
I had kind of an interesting observation the other day. I took a walk around St. Paul neighborhood and swear some of the Obama signs are not as plenty since the last two debates. There seems to have been more signs put up before then. The voter ID is really important to get voter turnout. We should never have gotten Al Frankin as senator. We do have a lot of voter fraud in this state.
Another note…..If you plan on voting on election day, wear your I Voted sticker proudly on your lapel or sweater. This might motivate people to get out and vote. Everyone wants to be included in the wave.
I think Obama is trying to lose the election. He’s in over his head, he is being criticized (which his ego can’t handle), the job isn’t fun anymore (people actually have the nerve to expect him to work and not vacation) and the surf from Hawaii is calling his name. Why else would he approve this stupid ad…….I hope the people in this country grant his wish on November 6th!
Question:
Have anybody been able to find out more about that “the white back in the white house” incident ? (I mean the obviously staged incident with a guy posing for photographers with a t-shirt inscribed “put the white back in the white house” – it happened about the 14th (or so) this month.)
I would be very interested in finding out whether anybody have been able to id the guy – and, of course, who was the photographer ?
PA report. Took a day off from school today to shop and make cookies. Ended driving from Northeast Philly out through Abington, Willow Grove,Elkins Park,Cheltenham. These were neighborhoods that were all heavily plastered with Obama signs in 2008. There were five or six blocks coming into Willow Grove– nice big suburban houses with several cars in the drive– where if you spit you’d hit an Obama sign.On those blocks.NOT ONE Obama sign. A few for local races, and even one for Romney-Ryan.
Overall– there were some signs for local races, and for US rep. None for Bob Casey, but a good number for Tom Smith. And a lot for the former military pilot running against the Dem rep. But signage out there was way down, and is non-existent in our neighborhood (besides some union hall oldest passes on his bus ride to martial arts class which has a huge Obama sign), and there were a lot of Obama signs. This is a middle-lower middle class mixed race neighborhood,so I think the enthusiasm isn’t there.
We saw more Obama signs down in Elkins Park/ Cheltenham, but only about five, and there were at least an equal number of Romney Ryan signs– which is just short of a miracle.
and now this…

Both electoral maps have MN going for Romney! w00t
I have only been around the metro area, which I think is a good sign that there aren’t as many signs. Yards were covered all over everyone’s yards in 2008 and bumper stickers covered most bumpers completely. (Obama signs that is). Romney/Ryan signs are a rarity unfortunately.
This weekend I am going to a tea party rally and will take a ride around other parts of the suburbs. My fiance said there are a lot more Romney/Ryan signs west of the cities.

Geez, with this and the butter bust being rolled through the streets of Chicago like they roll saints in processions, they have gone out of their minds.
He’s doing 8 states in 48 hours. He can do that, all airspace clears for AF 1. The Romney campaign can’t do that.
I think Lena Dunham might be rebuffed as she pulls the handle for Bathhouse Barry, I don’t think his heart is in it for any women! His first debate was a testament to this! It was his anniversary and all he had on his mind was he had to make Michelle happy! No wonder he couldn’t keep his mind on silly politics, that and his handlers wouldn’t let him have his customary upper.
Oh, and this about Bengazzi, I would like to see proof positive when and what Obama et al received about the infamous video. I’m betting they knew about it ahead of time and not to let a good opportunity pass, figured ‘if any situation arises, blame the video’. (Alinsky rules) Everyone is hung up on the timeline of the drones and the conference calls but no one is asking ‘when did they become aware of the video?’ I might even go further to say they had a hand in making sure that video was available to use. Not very many people even knew of its existence!
BENGHAZI
It has now been confirmed by several websites that there wasn’t just a drone in the sky above Benghazi during the attack, There was also an AC-130U Gunship also known as Spooky. The AC-130U is designed to eliminate infantry and armor with accurate and intense firepower. The CIA have already confirmed they had laser “painted” the terrorists attacking the conciliate. An AC-130U could have stopped the assault in a matter of a few seconds without risking the lives of the staff. It’s that accurate and that deadly. There is no excuse for what happened. It could have been stopped in multiple ways. Either the White House acted as inept cowards or they achieved the result they wanted.
Apparently General Ham was going to ignore the order not to send help and was going to send a rapid response team anyway. He was instantly relieved of duty, according to this. I haven’t seen this anywhere else, but here’s the quote from http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2950882/posts It’s in the second post:
““(The) basic principle is that you don’t deploy forces into harm’s way without knowing what’s going on; without having some real-time information about what’s taking place,” Panetta told Pentagon reporters. “And as a result of not having that kind of information, the commander who was on the ground in that area, Gen. Ham, Gen. Dempsey and I felt very strongly that we could not put forces at risk in that situation.”
The information I heard today was that General Ham as head of Africom received the same e-mails the White House received requesting help/support as the attack was taking place. General Ham immediately had a rapid response unit ready and communicated to the Pentagon that he had a unit ready.
General Ham then received the order to stand down. His response was to screw it, he was going to help anyhow. Within 30 seconds to a minute after making the move to respond, his second in command apprehended General Ham and told him that he was now relieved of his command.”
Kevin, this is my first comment though I’ve been reading for a while (love the site & your voice, it’s so engaging!), but you’ve specifically asked for folks in Ohio to talk, so…
Last week I drove from my home in central OH to Morgantown, WV. Interstates truly put me to sleep and offer nothing to photograph, so I took old US highways (50, 22, etc) and state routes. During my 5 hour drive to and 6 hour drive back, I counted roughly 14 homes/businesses with O signs…and at least 100 homes/businesses, probably more, for Mr. Romney. In coal country in particular, the “Stop the War on Coal! NO OBAMA!” signs were nearly as numerous as the trees.
I’m not sure who is being polled, but they must only be canvassing big cities like Cinci, Cleveland, Columbus, and even some of the smaller ones sure to go for O, such as Zanesville (where I saw 3 of the 14 O signs), to get these numbers. If Ohio went for Romney, I would not be surprised; students here on the OSU campus are also very active for and excited about Romney.
Also, FWIW, when I was in WV, I saw not one Obama sign. Not ONE in a big college town (and a state with an unjustly poor reputation).
*continues praying and volunteering*
Keep up the great work, Kevin!
The Obama camp can’t even get it right when they steal an idea. The Lena Dunham commercial was a bad take-off on one urging women to vote for Vladimir Putin. But Putin’s is witty; Obama’s made me want to wash my brain.
Putin commercial link below:

The rate of abortion among women in Russia is alarmingly high. I guess that this ad is not just an ad for the Obama campaign but also an ad for Planned Infanticied which steals tax payer dollars to accomodate whores like this Dunham chick. Abortion is a multi billion dollar business and is even more a part of Obama’s corporate statism than Solyndra.
Desperate dems resort to desperate measures. They will do anything to win.
The head of the House Democratic campaign arm this week proposed a constitutional amendment that would give the winner of the popular vote in the presidential race an additional 29 electoral votes.
Rep. Steve Israel (D-N.Y.) did not offer an explanation in the joint resolution filed in the House for why he was proposing to change the way elections in the U.S. are decided.
Under the Constitution, the candidate who wins at least 270 electoral votes wins the presidency, regardless of the popular vote.
The prospect of a split between the popular vote and the Electoral College usually provokes cries of abolishing the Electoral College completely, but rather than simplifying the process, Israel’s resolution would add an additional level of intrigue to the electoral puzzle.
Swing states would retain their importance in the Electoral College, but the additional 29 delegates awarded to the popular-vote winner would fundamentally alter the focus of the campaigns. Candidates would have to target voters in states they have no chance of winning, as well as in states they have no chance of losing.
One of the primary criticisms of the Electoral College is that it puts outsize importance on the horserace aspect of the election in the battleground states even as voters in the majority of the country tune out. If Israel’s amendment were to become law, voters in deeply blue and -red states would still have to participate in the election to secure the popular-vote prize for their candidate.
Most analysts believe the 2012 election will be decided by fewer than 29 Electoral College votes.
The timing of the resolution from Israel, the head of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, is curious since there is increasing speculation that for the fifth time in history, the 2012 presidential election could result in a split between the popular vote and Electoral College decision. And in this case, most of the speculation has been that President Obama might win the Electoral College while losing the popular vote.
According to the RealClearPolitics average of polls, Mitt Romney has 47.9 percent support nationally over President Obama at 47. But the Obama campaign has consistently touted its “wider path to victory” through the Electoral College, and the president appears to have a small lead in the handful of battleground states whose Electoral College votes will determine the outcome of the election.
Several U.S. races have ended with the runner-up in the popular vote winning the Electoral College.
A split most recently happened in 2000, when Republican George W. Bush won the most electoral votes but lost the popular vote to Vice President Al Gore.
If approved, Israel’s measure would apply with respect to any presidential election held after a one-year period that would begin on the date of its ratification.
The amendment must be ratified by three-fourths of the states to become law.
Here’s the text of the measure:
“In an election for President and Vice President, after the popular vote has been counted and electors have been appointed in each of the several States and the District constituting the seat of Government of the United States, each State and the District shall report the total number of popular votes cast for each of the candidates … The candidate receiving the largest percentage of the total popular vote as reported by the several States and the District shall receive 29 electoral votes in addition to those cast by the Electors chosen by the several States and the District. These votes shall not be considered votes cast by Electors and shall not affect the total number of votes necessary to constitute a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed.”

Just watching the rally Romney/Ryan held in Colorado the other night was amazing. People are fired up. They want a leader, not someone who admits to “leading from behind.”
Americans like the number one position, even if the Marxist in the White House finds it so offensive he feels he needs to apologize to the rest of the world. It’s time for a change, and anyone with half a brain recognizes it. Even if they don’t particularly know Romney, they will vote for him just to get Obama out of town.
I come to this site whenever I need a lift (thanks, Kevin).

Breaking news on Benghazi: the CIA spokesman, presumably at the direction of CIA director David Petraeus, has put out this statement: “No one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate. ”

Can you smell the sulfur? Bill Clinton is laughing at Barack Obama right now.
OK, that leaves only the President of the United States or USAFRICOM as the ONLY, repeat ONLY places that could have issued a stand down order to the CIA Operations Headquarters. Hillary is going to walk away from this clean. Now it’s down to either the POTUS or a ringbanging general.
I LOVE STEPHEN CROWDER!!!
His parody of the Lena Dunham video: http://www.caintv.com/CrowderparodiesLenaDunham-643
(I’m sorry if it’s been posted before – I haven’t seen it here yet, so if it is, my apologies).
Friends never apologize.
I never care if something is posted more than once.
Just don’t ever start anything off with “This is off topic but…”, use the word “liberal” when you should be saying Leftist, or call political writers “bloggers” and you’ll be fine always.
Really, I react to that word “blog” like I’d react if someone called me a fag. So don’t ever say that about any writer online. Have respect for the work that people do, even if they’re writers I don’t like I would never call them “bloggers” anymore than I’d call anyone a fag or a n***er. They are just not nice words.
Kevin, you would be so proud of me. I no longer say “that word” – at all! I’ve got my hubby (who is so not political) to start calling them out as leftists.
I’m as meek as they can be (been told I’m quiet as a church mouse), but I’m starting to speak my mind. Boy, is it EVER freeing to do so!
(An aside – the other day I told my kids to pour a liberal amount of chocolate on my ice cream and my 13 year old said, “Don’t you mean Leftist, Mom?” I just LOVE that kid!)
I took a button from the MRC that was given to me during a Ted Cruz rally here in TX, which says very simply, “Don’t Believe The Liberal Media!”, X-ed out “Liberal” and changed it to “LEFTIST”.
Says it better.
I am not on the east coast, so I am unable to get a true sense of this pending storm’s seriousness. I have wondered. Do you think some in the media are using this story as a way to keep Benghazi out of the news?
Big Hell Yeah! They are going to do anything they can to make this story die.
Have a very conservative friend who is a very good amateur meteorologist- with a much higher rate of accuracy than Weather Channel or Accuweather… and he’s calling for “Mid-Atlantic Hell Storm” which is his highest warning. Told me to stock up on food, bring the wood in,and be prepared to lose power in Philly. He called that huge blizzard we had a few years back before any weather service– so I take his forecasts seriously.
That said– someone somewhere (probably here at Hillbuzz because we’re all so brilliant) was saying how the Left will blame an Obama loss on Sandy. Well,it would be poetic justice, wouldn’t it. An administration who pushed the meme that its opponents were waging a war on women while coming out with videos like “first time” being done in by a female named storm.
Sandy Duncan?
Hasn’t that poor woman suffered enough?
The first thing I thought when I saw that horrific Lena Dunham video was “some cute youngish gay man needs to do a parody”. Steven Crowder did and it is a hoot. “You want a man who gives you free stuff”…

Thanks for all you do to keep us sane and hopeful. God bless you!

He is at freepac in Shaumburg, IL
Charlotte, North Carolina. Definitely a different mood than in ’08. I’ve actually seen several RR bumper stickers in the last week or so. You have to understand that even though I would have loved to put one on my car, I can’t afford to have it repaired and I need it to get to work, so I opted for discretion.
Don’t really like, but understand. We wouldn’t dare to put a Romney sign in our yard or a sticker on our car. We get dirty looks due to the Afghanistan Veteran sticker.
Benghazi is burning hot, we need to help keep it in the news cycle. If you see it reported anywhere take a minute to comment or recommend it. The more the story gets bumped the worse it gets for Obama. Trust me he wants this to go away and his friends in the press will try to help but if it’s getting hits it’s in their greedy interest to keep it alive.
How convenient for Obama!
Every vote is supposed to count, so when a U.S. transport aircraft was destroyed in a fiery crash in Afghanistan last week, military officials began trying to track down mail ballots believed to be on the plane.
One of the destroyed ballots had been sent from Bexar County to a deployed service member, a search of local records determined Tuesday.
Officials want to make sure all service members who requested mail or electronic ballots get one in time to participate in the Nov. 6 election, so “we put another ballot in the mail today (Tuesday),” said Bexar County Elections Administrator Jacque Callanen.
“I think it’s really cool that they’re going through these lengths to tell us” about the mishap, Callanen said, adding that only one Bexar County ballot was lost in the crash.
According to an alert received by the Bexar County Elections Department from military voting assistance officials, the crash of the transport plane at Shindand Air Base in Afghanistan destroyed the aircraft and the 4,700 pounds of mail it was delivering to the combat zone.
Military officials weren’t immediately sure if it was carrying ballots, so they issued the nationwide call to local election officials to see if they may have sent ballots to a ZIP code serving three installations in Afghanistan — Camps Shindand, Farah and Stone, also called Herat.
“If you have sent any ballots to the ZIP code 09382, we recommend you attempt to contact the voter and resend a new ballot, as the first ballot may have been destroyed in the crash and fire,” the alert said.
———————————
If you know anyone serving in Afghanistan please inquire with their county elections office to insure that another ballot gets sent ASAP.
And UN inspectors will be coming to our country, the oldest democracy in the world to monitor our elections?!?!? Unbelievable!
In 2010 NY state failed to meet the deadline for getting absentee ballots to our service people over seas. The Left is evil and will do anything to cheat to win. Obama never won an election without cheating. But the NAZI dominated UN will be all about getting Obama reelected. After all they are tired of the US being the most powerful and prosperous nation on Earth and so is Obama.
I have to thank you all so much because I’ve never seen anything Steven Crowder has done, besides the Mr. America thing, and he’s brilliant. We really, really need more like him on the Right.
Kevin, can you explain to me why the Romney campaign is using the word “change” in their messaging now? I just don’t get why you would go within 10 feet of that particular wording, since everyone still thinks of “hope and change” with Obama (and not in a good way at all). Here’s a tweet from Mitt tonight that’s very typical also from the Ryan account and the Romney/Ryan campaign account:
“The American people want to see big changes. And together we can bring real change to this country.”
They have signs that say, “Real Change, Real Recovery.” I think the “Real Recovery” is awesome and saw some banners in pics from an OH rally tonight that featured only that phrase. But could you give some insight into why they would opt to have “change” anywhere in their messaging? Thanks so much!
Kevin
You said you wanted to hear from people in Pennsylvania. I live in Philly and as I like you worked for the Hillary Clinton Campaign (God Forgive me) and then the democrats for McCain Palin campaign before I finally left the whore party to and started voting like the decent conservative woman I am, I do have a skill for getting people to open up to me about their political feelings. I just don’t see much enthusiasm for Obama. Many minorities in Philly are small business owners and are realizing that Obama is no friend to small business.
I wanted to bring up Dr. Kermitt Gosnell, the abortion docotr in Philly who killed a woman and went to prison along with some of his staff. Some of you will remember this story from a few years ago. As the Obama administration proves time and timea again that they believe that birth control is totlaly the responcibilty of the woman and that women should be as slutty as posible so that men can have thier way with them wothout having to worry about any natural consequences lile a child, it might be a good time for conservatives to point out that abortion kills women too. Because apparently the left doesn’t give a dame about the innocent fetus or even infant it kills.

I understand all the positive vibe from Hillbuzz but people, please don’t take your eye off the ball. We have to fight until the bitter end. We cannot allow ourselves to be complacent with our “positive thoughts”. We’ve read the ground reports and we all know the polls are shifting our way but we do NOT know the many tricks the cockroaches on the dark side will use to steal this election. Please do not sit back and rest until we are victorious.
I’m sorry if I’m a downer to all of you but I will not apologize. The results of this election are far more important than worrying about offending anyone . We are literally fighting for our lives.
I said in a post here a couple weeks ago that I’m absolutely dedicated to this fight. My husband’s family has been here since the beginning. They fought in the revolution and every war since then. My own parents barely survived the “death camps” of WWII. My dad is gone but my mother still trembles and cries when she talks about how much it means for her to be here, here in the United States of America. The first thing my parents did when they immigrated was to learn the language, take citizenship classes, and become legal citizens of this great country. They have treasured that citizenship their entire lives.
I have a daughter who is about to graduate college and a son who is a freshman in college. I owe them the country that my husband’s ancestors fought for and my parents proudly sought citizenship in. I have taught my children their incredible history and it is something they will proudly pass on to their own children. I can’t fight back the tears as write this because it means so incredibly much to me.
As I said earlier, I apologize for being a downer. I’m a mom who’s been wrapped up in her kids lives so much that I’m not into all the terminology that you like to use here. I don’t know for sure but maybe I’m an Eyeore. As far as I am concerned this is soooo much bigger than me, than you, and even Hillbuzz.
I won’t bore you with my posts here anymore. I just really don’t want any of you to sit back and think this election has been won for Romney. You have got to get out there and do whatever you can because you have got to know that the dark side is doing their absolute best.
Please do not sit back and rest until we are victorious.
I’ve tried to get the below info out to everyone because I think it’s a free, great campaign tool for everyone.
You will find FREE, printable compaign stuff here: http://www.itsnotworking.net . Please use it and spread this website around to your Tea Party, 9-12 groups, etc.
Just wanted to say that in Colorado, the Republican party is phoning Republicans reminding them to vote and asking if they’ve mailed their ballots in yet. We have mail in ballots in a lot of places. If they have to leave a message for you, the party is asking for a return call if you have mailed your ballot in. Looks like they are in the process of election validation and keeping track of how many voted for Romney. This is good and proactive. You know Democrats will try to cheat because that’s just who leftists are.
I am in Colorado as well, I have filled out my mail-in ballot already (for Romney and every other Republican on the ballot of course). It’s sitting sealed on the side table next to my front door ready for me to take it to my Town Hall which I will probably do tomorrow as I’ve been working during business hours this whole week and Town Hall is only open during business hours. So no worries, we’re all voting! It’s just we Republicans are busy working during the week to support all the Democrats on welfare.
Of the people who have already turned in their votes in CO, Republicans already outnumber Democrats by the thousands. This isn’t even counting the Independents vote, which we know always break for the challenger in these races. I’m 100% confident Romney is taking Colorado.
Regarding cheating, thankfully we do have some in the state watching out for that this time. 441 people recently found to be ineligible and removed from voter rolls in CO. Almost half a million were found ineligible in Ohio and removed from the voter rolls. I imagine the Democrats are too scared to cheat to the point that it’d tip the scales in their favor this time. They would need to cheat with millions upon millions of dead people and that’s not something you can do discreetly.
I live in Minnesota and in my own personal poll, Romney is winning by 100%. Seriously. I now absolutely no one who is voting for Obama and in 2008, there were about half of my circle of friends who were voting Obama no matter what I told them or what articles I sent. They have had way, way, way too much of Obama. Most say they cannot stand him and they use the word disaster a lot.
Up until a week ago, a very good friend of mine was going to vote for Gary Johnson. We have had several nasty facebook battles over this and I told him that I would hold him personally responsible if we got stuck with Obama again.
Well, last weekend I saw him at church and he told me, “Hey…I am voting for Romney. I have to vote against Obama and after watching the debates, I am starting to like Romney. He has shown himself to be aggressive and I never expected that.” I asked him if he thought that Romney was a man of good character and he said, yes, he did see that he is.
He was the last to crossover and he was a rabid Ron Paul supporter. Honestly, i know no one who will be voting for Obama this year. No one. I would love to see MN go red and I believe it is possible, even though Romney-Ryan have not come here for a rally, which was very disappointing to me because I would love to see them, I think they very well could win MN. I will be happy when I can see President Romney here sometime during the next four years.
BTW, Michele Bachman is struggling. We cannot lose her in the house. My boyfriend has been campaigning daily for her and he said it doesn’t look good and the campaign is worried. If you can help her in anyway, please do. We had redistricting here which was (purposely) done to hurt Bachman’s chances.
That parody of the ad is spectacular. It’s funny.
Earlier today I said I’d tuned into Rush to hear part of a call and I thought that Rush didn’t realize what was being said in that call. But, after the fact he must have realized he put the transcript here:
http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2012/10/26/are_some_in_the_chain_of_command_still_haunted_by_carter_s_failed_rescue_in_1979
Jim Hoft has the original story about this and the link to Rush, but when I went back for the link he had this too, so after your read this you can scroll down to read the other one:
“BUSTED… Former Top Defense Official: If Obama Gave Order to Protect Benghazi Heroes There’d Be Paper Trail (There Was No Order)

http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2012/10/obama-is-busted-former-top-defense-official-if-obama-gave-order-to-protect-benghazi-personnel-theres-a-paper-trail-video/#comments
I live in a suburb of Philadelphia, and I’ve been saying for months that Romney is going to win Pennsylvania. My street is literally lined with Romney/Ryan signs. When I drive around, the Romney signs outnumber the Obama signs, at least 10 to 1. Even a rabid Democrat in my neighborhood who puts signs up for every election, even non-presidential years, doesn’t have an Obama sign.
The Republican voter enthusiasm is infectious.
On the other hand, here’s an anecdote illustrating the lack of enthusiam for Obama. I was at the post office and overheard the postal worker who is BLACK say that he was having trouble getting a hold of his mother on the phone, because she would not answer the phone if the caller i.d. read that it was a U.S. government number. She thought it was the Obama campaign calling for volunteers and money. He just shook is head and he wasn’t going to volunteer this year.
Also, my daughter works as an intern in D.C. and she overheard two black workers in the mail room of her office talking about high gas prices and wondering out loud if they would come down when Romney became President. Not if he became President, but when.
Another update on Minnesota. I have been doing some campaigning for some local candidates and Kurt Bills (running against Amy Klobuchar). What the volunteers are finding when they go door knocking, is that people ask what party they are with. When they say, “Republicans”, people tell them, “Good. I will not talk to democrats”, or something similar. From what I hear this is happening all over the state. People do not even want a democrat to come near them, but truly want to talk to conservatives about jobs, the economy, gas prices, etc.
I was doing a lit drop yesterday and it was a beautiful day. Most people were not home, but I did meet three people out raking leaves. All were very happy to see us out and all three said they are voting Republican all the way. One guy said he moved here from California and did not like that the party affiliations are not usually on the literature so a party chairwoman had a great chat with him and explained who all if his candidates were and what party they were affiliated with. He said he was relieved because he is a conservative and wanted to make sure who the “good guys” were.
I really liked this specific knowledge on ads and I’m just constantly seeking for unique creative concepts such as these. I intend to learn alot more from your blog page and look forward to viewing more about advertisements.
