Don’t Miss Your Chance to Be Part of Mitt Romney’s Big Win Tomorrow: do something in your own way to finish strong!

Posted on November 5, 2012 by Kevin DuJan // Breaking News, Featured Content

Have you ever heard of the American Girls dolls?  They’re a big thing here in Chicago, with a giant store on Michigan Avenue that’s a tourist trap and is always crowded.  Apparently, there’s a doll styled after a character from every period of American history (rumor has it that Barack Obama collects them all).

The other day I was downtown and walked by the shop and thought about the people who were there for different important days in our history…the ones who were just regular people who never made it into any books and aren’t celebrated as individuals today.  Those “American Girl” dolls aren’t supposed to be famous people…but just regular girls who lived in important time periods.

You’re living during an important moment in our nation’s history, because tomorrow’s the day that the American people choose to restore our prosperity and destiny instead of siding with the Left in its push to make this a European socialist style country.  Perhaps some day there will even be a doll based on you (that an elderly Bathhouse Barry can eagerly anticipate collecting in his hot-pink nursing home room).

I really hope you are doing something in your own way to help Mitt Romney win big tomorrow, because I want you to be able to look back on these next two days many years from now and be proud of your part in making it all happen.  Please don’t miss this opportunity to join Americans coast to coast in booting Barack Obama from the White House (along with all the Chicago thugs who came to Washington with him). This is like being there during the Revolutionary War…the day before Gettysburg…or being in Times Square for VE Day.  What’s going to happen tomorrow will be epic…and YOU are going to not just witness it as a bystander, but be an active participant in it…in your own unique way.

Here are FIVE WAYS YOU CAN HELP MITT ROMNEY WIN BIG by using your individual talents in a way that you are comfortable with today and tomorrow:

5.  Print out and distribute palm cards in your neighborhood or walk around taping them onto doors so that people know about “The Hope and the Change” being available to watch on Hulu.com today.  Getting as many people to see this movie as possible is a great way to drive votes to Mitt Romney.  Today — Monday 11/5/2012 — is really the last day to be able to spread the word like this and have people watch the movie.  For palm cards you can print out, click HERE.

4. Call up all your friends and family and personally ask them to vote for Mitt Romney.  Make sure they have the nudge they need to go to the polls tomorrow.

3. Go get a big piece of sturdy poster board and make a sign that says VOTE ROMNEY.  Just like that.  Keep it simple.  Use a white poster board with bright RED letters so that it is easy to see.  Outline the letters in black so they stand out.  When you have the sign finished, go somewhere near you that’s safe to stand on a corner and show the sign to the cars that are passing by on the intersection.  You can do this tonight or tomorrow.  If you are free tomorrow in the morning, you can hold up the sign while people are driving to work…or you can do it after work if you get off in the afternoon.  But tonight and tomorrow morning are the best times to hold signs. You might at first think this is silly, but seeing someone out there in the cold holding up a big homemade ROMNEY sign is a huge psychological push to go out and vote Romney.  It tells the people in your neighborhood that “Wow!  There’s excitement.  I better do my part!”.  This can be a BIG DEAL.  It’s scary to go outside and hold up a sign for some people, so don’t do anything you aren’t comfortable doing…but if it’s not too cold out then spending a few hours outside with your family cheering for Romney and hearing the cars honk in support could be a memory you will have for a lifetime.  Your kids will be in their 40s and you’ll be a grandparent and you’ll all say “Remember when we made that sign and held it up for the cars to honk back in 2012 when President Romney was first running…and I think we really helped win that election!”.

2.  Do you like talking to strangers on the phone?  Can you make some calls from home to help Mitt Romney get out the vote?

1. This might be obvious but….GET OUT THERE AND VOTE!

Whatever you choose to do…and however you can use your talents to help Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan today and tomorrow…I thank you from the bottom of my heart as an American.  I think there are people out there right now who are doing incredible things to restore freedom and prosperity to this country.  I think everyone who is part of the Resistance and is working to unseat the would-be tyrant Obama and his Leftist goons are real American heroes right up alongside those who were there in the past when America needed them most.

Thank you…God Bless…and keep up the great work through tomorrow!

Hubby and I going to be poll watchers here in Virginia. Our polls close at 7:00 PM EST, so folks should know results fairly early.

God Bless everyone in their efforts to turn this administration out of office.

I love the historical American Girl dolls! (Even though left-leaning politics has on a couple of occasions sneaked into the books since Mattel bought the company.) I have loved the books and dolls since childhood, and I have seven of the dolls. :o ) They definitely encourage girls to do what’s right, even when it requires bravery, and they inspire an interest in American history in girls.

I tried a couple times, last week and today, to get some candidate comparison materials into the hands of Obama voters at our church’s school. Unfortunately one had already voted and the other refused my materials and said she didn’t want to talk about it when I asked her if she knew Obama was the most pro-abortion president ever. Very sad.

I keep praying, and I was reading some “old fashioned doom antidote” yesterday–the Psalms! Particularly Psalms 1, 2, 10, 11, and 37. Even though we are poised for some great wins tomorrow, not every race will go our way. It is helpful to remember that God will vindicate the righteous in His time, and one day ultimate justice will be done and ALL wrongs will be righted. This truth is all that gets me through some days.

I won’t be able to do the first four, but I’ve already voted, two weeks early, because I’m working at one of our town’s polling places as a checker. My daughter, who isn’t old enough to vote this year, will also be working, as a machine tender. (Here in CT we have paper ballots, hand marked, but run through an optical scanner.)

I figure I’ll be drinking a bit tomorrow night, probably well after 9pm (polls close at 8, but anyone in line by 8 can vote, so we may not be able to run the precinct tally, and break down until 8:30). I just don’t know why I’ll be drinking. Lots of prayers are being said today.

Kevin, I need a little love and a kick in the backside.

I volunteered to make calls – something that is so outside my comfort zone that my heart is racing. I am staring at the computer screen with a phone number from NH – the script is pretty easy. Do you plan to vote? Who do you plan to support? Close:Great! I am actually a volunteer calling from the Romney campaign. The Presidential Election is coming up and we need New Hampshire’s help, so please remember to vote for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan this coming Tuesday, November 6th.

We cannot afford four more years of Barack Obama. America needs a real recovery and your vote will make the difference, so please vote for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.

For more information you can visit RomneyNH.com or call our New Hampshire campaign team at 603-835-4073.

Thank you for your time. This call was paid for by Romney for President, Inc.

Just needed a little encouragement :-) Thanks for being here. I’ll report back later.

I’ve worked in real call centers. What you are doing, Kiki, is so much easier ;) You can do this. Just remember that there are real people on the other end of that line. That’s what I do. Some of them will be nice and some not so nice. I have talked to so many wonderful people that I can easily ignore the people that weren’t nice. Most of the folks you talk to will be polite, even if they don’t want to talk to you. Just take that first step.

Make calls to everyone you know, it is that important, Lets think that we are down 1% in every state and we all need to get 30 people to go and vote Romney.

So every family member, friend, neighbor and facebook or twitter user.
Ensure you get 30 people to vote. This can be done tonight and tomorrow.

Then make signs, go to the polls with a car load of people, and save America. Make it a landslide.

It may not seem like much, but I am contributing to this by teaching my four children to be conservatives. We talk about the election daily, and I am taking my 19 year old to vote. If we all teach our children well, maybe we will not need to have another four years like this again.

That is a LOT! My husband and I worked very hard to teach my son Conservative values, we believed it was an important part of our job as his parents. Every time we went on a road trip, we listened to Rush. There were times when he was in his teen yrs that he balked a bit. But he made it through his college years unscathed! Today, he is 30, a proud Conservative and he will be casting his vote tomorrow for Romney/Ryan. You keep up the good work!

I’ve printed out materials that I’m putting up everywhere I go. You can print palm cards or smaller or larger and tape them up, drop them on the floor, put them on windshields, etc. They say “IT’S NOT WORKING” and the O in not is the obama rainbow. I’ve taped them to gas pumps, inside restroom and fitting room doors. I’ve placed them on shelves and on products in the grocery store and also put them on the price strips at the front of the grocery store shelves. i’ve taped them to the seats of shopping carts. I have a big one that I’ve taped to the rear window of my car.

    Rasmussen October Party Identification numbers:

    http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/archive/mood_of_america_archive/partisan_trends/summary_of_party_affiliation

    R: 39.1%
    D: 33.3%
    I: 27.5%

If the electorate turns out like this, then we’re looking at something close to 1980, I would think. This is up from September’s Republican advantage in Party ID by 3.2% (was 2.6% advantage).

Great, great news. Pass it on!

    Kevin –
People tend to read the most recent post & comments but this e-mail just received from George Allen’s campaign (R Senate candidate in Virginia) is an excellent DOOM ANTIDOTE. ….

One day before Virginia voters go to the polls and Tim Kaine’s campaign has grown even more desperate. Two sure signs of this: new PPP and NBC polls and another Salon.com attempt to inject race into this campaign.

    Polls

First, the polls. Our campaign pollster, John McLaughlin, is one of the best and most reliable in the business. To my knowledge, he has more extensive experience polling Virginia statewide races than any other pollster of either party. As long as he has polled for Governor Allen’s campaigns, he has been accurate to within a few tenths of a point.

We rarely talk about our internal polls, particularly when they are good because activists can tend to ease up on their efforts when we are ahead. I can tell you, though, that at no point in the last two weeks has George Allen or Mitt Romney been behind their opponents. That is still the case.

Why do these public polls show something different?

The PPP poll is a Democratic poll that I understand is paid for by Democratic/liberal clients such as Daily Kos. They are famous for producing these last-minute polls that show the Republican candidate behind. Yet, the Republican wins on election day. It is simply biased. For example, in Virginia they have Democrats at 38% and Republicans at 33%, way below the average for GOP turnout. 27% of those polled are liberal – well above average.

The average of the last 4 Virginia statewide exit polls were 36% Democrat and 37% Republican. If you weight their polls to the average we win by a point. However, we expect the turnout tomorrow to be more favorable than this.

As far as the NBC poll they once again did random digit dial calling. We always use registered voter lists (since they’re the only people who can vote.) They have party affiliation Dem 33-Rep 30. Overall, they have us down 49-46 among likely voters. Yet, among their likely voters they include 3% not enthusiastic to vote at all and 6% not too enthusiastic. (Oh, and certainly the fact that the spouse of a high-ranking official involved in this poll was communications director for Jim Webb’s campaign in 2006.)

Why, then, put out these flawed polls? The answer is simple. If Republican voters give up and stay home, Tim Kaine and President Obama win.

Tim Kaine’s real problem, though, is that neither poll is true. This race is close, but both Governor Allen and Governor Romney are slightly ahead. Thousands of Republican, conservative and Tea Party activists are working hard to get out our vote tomorrow. The results from absentee balloting already show just how much work you have done. By the end of the day tomorrow, all of America will see, too.

    Salon.com

The most visible evidence of the Kaine camp’s desperation is an article posted last night on the Huffington Post, which was pushed around by the ultra-liberal Salon.com. Salon.com seems to specialize in calling Republicans racists.

The article is built around a debate on the floor of the House of Delegates 21 years ago over the former State song. As if that is news.

What the liberals don’t want voters to know is that it was George Allen, as our Governor, who supported and signed legislation that retired “Carry Me Back to Old Virginia” as the State song.

The Kaine camp’s real problem here is that they can’t afford for voters to look at the Obama/Kaine record of the last four years and have any hope of winning. The Kaine campaign can’t afford for voters to look at his support for the debt sequestration deal that now puts 200,000 Virginia jobs in jeopardy. The Kaine campaign can’t afford for voters to look at the Obama war on coal and see that he stands with the President against Virginia jobs.

And, of course, the Kaine campaign can’t afford for voters to look at his record as Governor: proposed tax increases of over $4 Billion dollars including higher taxes on seniors and Virginians making as little as $17,000 a year; over 100,000 Virginia jobs lost during his four years as Governor; college tuition increases of over 30%; closed rest stops and on and on and on.

The other side is desperate. George Allen and Mitt Romney are poised to win tomorrow if we continue to get out our vote .

Now is the time to finish the job. Thank you for all you are doing to make the Democrat’s fears a reality.

Indy – when I went to my county Republican poll watcher training, the guy said ORCA was not an acronym rather based on a certain campaign’s use of a certain animal in a former campaign and that they decided on ORCA because it was the only animal to eat that other animal. I took this to mean the Obama campaign in ’08 (or now?) called themselves sharks? (maybe the GOTV was the sharks?) It made me laugh and showed the mindset of the Romney campaign… Psy-ops! Of the few Facebook friends brave enough to “like” Romney, they are not getting as in your face.

And of all the people in 2008 who were for Obama, many many are being silent.

    Fellow Hillbuzzers:

All of us have done many things to help RR on to victory, and as Kevin says, it ain’t over yet. Each of us MUST do all that we can, in our individual way, to help our guys “over the top”.

Many of us have donated our time, our energy, and our money to help make the RR campaign a success, and it shows.

As we wind down towards election day, I would like to encourage all of us who can to make a donation to Kevin and Hillbuzz. We all know that this is a true “labor of love” for Kevin, but as a long ago song says “love don’t pay the bills”.

Bottom line: PLEASE make a donation to Kevin and Hillbuzz, if it is at all possible for you to do so. Donating money is a quick and easy process….I just finished doing so prior to posting this note (BTW, Hillbuzz DOES require the security code on the back of your credit card, UNLIKE the Obama campaign!!!).

IF we all donate a little bit, that will give Kevin the funds he needs to up the bandwidth for tomorrow, AND help keep us all sane as the day progresses towards the RR landslide we all hope and pray is enroute.

    RR 2012!!!!

It doesn’t have to be a lot – every little bit helps…..

Has anyone read this article by Prof Jacobson about the repeat of Carter vs Election Polls?

    http://legalinsurrection.com/2012/11/a-day-of-meaningless-predictions-and-polls/

I am planning to prey to hours alot in the next 36 hours, to save out country, guide & preserve our newly elected president/vp and their famiilies, and bestow blessings on all americans and good people of the world.

Then serve honey-baked ham while we wait for the words. . .”Fox News now projects Mitt Romney to be the winner and the 45th President of the United States!!!!

An extra dose of DOOM! antidote. We are going to win this if we stay the course.

It’s easy to gloat and laugh at REgressives, to mock them and drink their tears. However, it’s not only classless but counterproductive.

I noticed that many people (not a majority, but a good amount) supported Obama in 2008 in the good-faith belief that he’d be a moderate-centrist, a Bill Clinton without the interns. As we’ve all seen, Obama has been a disaster of monstrous proportions. Many of those moderates and conservatives who supported Obama back then need to be brought back into the fold.

I’ll be happy on November 5th, and maybe even laugh at MSNBC and CNN when they break out the razor-blades. However, by November 6th, I’m going to be getting my resume’ updated and feelers out there for engineering companies, and looking forward to the Romney Recovery.

Funny Kevin should mention standing on a street corner with a big VOTE ROMNEY sign. I wish I could go to Washington DC and hold up a big sign in front of the White House that reads BENGHAZI on one side and has photos of Amb. Chris Stevens, Tyrone Woods, Glen Doherty and Sean Smith on the other. Until something is done about their assassinations, I want Obama to squirm.

I live in a largely conservative area north of Los Angeles, and I can only say that very, very few cars are sporting “2012″ bumper stickers on them, unlike 2008.

I have already voted – for Romney at the top of the ticket and Libertarians or Republicans for the rest. So did my husband. For the first time in her life, my Mom cast a vote for Republicans. She actually met Mitt Romney while she was out walking in Massachusetts – he was jogging at the time – and she remembers him as a very nice man. She can’t stand Obama.

Polls are still tied, but that makes no sense… here is a cool doom antidote for anyone who needs it: http://viralread.com/2012/11/03/ohio-math-numbers-equal-trouble-for-democrats/

I won’t be glued to the TV screen tomorrow, I’m confident Romney will win, but I’ll probably turn it on later in the afternoon and for the first time in probably 10 years I’ll tune in to MSNBC just to watch the talking heads explode… then check into this site to give virtual high fives to all the Romney supporters on here.

Thanks again Kevin for this site. You are awesome! Oh, and I checked out that lasagna pan today… it looks like a great deal, it might be a birthday present this year… :)

I’m going to be an official Romney/Ryan Poll Watcher tomorrow. Even took a half day off work so I can spend as much time there as possible. Where “there” is is still up for debate. Local office reassigned me to a different location, but the main contact with the Election Day Task Force still has me going to my original location. I think trying to get this sorted out will be enough to distract me from the SHARKS and SQUIRRELS running around on TV and the interwebs.

Comment on the American Girl dolls:
4 years ago I was blessed with a beautiful grand-daughter. I wanted her to have a doll from her grandmother. I could not find ONE doll– other than rag dolls made by home industries– that was made in America. Unbelievable to me! Made in China are the American Girl dolls at least when I was looking. I’m so excited for a Romney/Ryan win in bring back some of these wonderful Made in America companies.

FWIW, I bought one of the original American Girl dolls for my oldest daughter back around 1987 – and it was labeled, “Made in West Germany.” (Remember West Germany?) It was well made, though, and I had no complaints.

As for the election …I contributed to the RR campaign, I voted early, and since I’m a Chicago Republican Judge of Election, I will be on duty a-l-l the long day tomorrow. Our precinct is
usually well-behaved (nobody shows up rowdy or tries to impersonate a dead voter, and they’re quick to pull out their ID even when they haven’t been asked for it) so I’m hoping everything will go smoothly.

Strange, but some of my signs got vandalized last night. I replaced them, and added another empty chair just for grins. Sure would like to meet the only Leftist here in Robertsdale Alabama.

Btw – interested in what Bathhouse Barry will be doing tomorrow? Lookit here:
“The Washington Post reports today that Obama will spend his day playing pick-up basketball in Chicago. Sure, there are still millions out of power on the East Coast. Sure, we still have no details on why four Americans were murdered in Benghazi. But, says the Post, this is an Obama election day tradition. And so Obama has called “body man” Reggie Love to put together the game.“
    http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/11/05/Obama-to-play-bball-Election-Day

Never mind about Sandy and all the poor people still without power, water and food, never mind about Benghazi, never mind about still being the official President. A nice get-together with Reggie Love is what he needs …
One wonders if Madame Jarrett told him he could have this date as reward for having been a good boy and having campaigned since 2008 …

I signed up to get 40 of my neighbors to vote, in Douglas County Colorado.
On Friday 65% had voted. This included un-affiliated voters too.
That’s impressive. Now I am going to put flyers on the poll voter doors so they will know where they are to vote tomorrow.
If they’re too lazy to find out where they’re supposed to vote, they’ll have no excuse now. I am even going the extra mile by informing them that in 2010 Michael Bennet won the senate race because on Colorado Republican in each neighborhood failed to vote. That’s how slim the margin was.
    EVERY VOTE COUNTS!

Just got this email from my local Romney volunteer coordinator….

“Thank you very much for your willingness to assist Project ORCA and the Romney/Ryan Campaign. The enthusiasm and support is incredible. However, because of the overabundance of poll workers at your originally assigned precinct, there are not enough credentials for all of our great volunteers.”

Somehow I doubt the Obama campaign has the same problem. ;)

I think I’ll head over to my local Romney Victory Center tomorrow and see if they have any other ways for me to pitch in.

Clear Eyes. Full Hearts. Can’t Fail. One more day, people!
