I think that the statements made yesterday by both Donald Trump and Barack Obama were pretty hilarious. If you watch their body language it is very obvious that Obama is furious and very uncomfortable talking about the birth certificate issue. He always gets that smug and condescending look that suggests that he is above everyone else and he must set us little people straight before he can do more important things….like play golf. He tries to appear very self confident but he tries too hard and instead comes off as being defensive and unsure. I do not think the White House expected Trump to handle the release of the certificate the way he did. I think Trump was brilliant yesterday. Whether you like him or not, the fact that he takes credit for forcing Obama to release the document makes him the winner and Obama the loser. One thing can be said about Donald Trump…he does not care about political correctness and he’s not afraid to step on toes. I think the White House doesn’t know how to handle Trump and this clearly makes them squirm.
So…how does Obama do damage control and boost his image?

I so agree with your assessment Bridget. I didn't see bo speak about this because I refuse to watch and listen to him because he's so condescending. It is clear that the wh does not know how to handle someone who is obviously not following the playbook of PC. The way to they will try to respond is to make Trump look like a racist. They're working 24/7 on this issue to come up with something. But, I think Trump is ready for that and his reaction will be something the wh will not be able to handle. I am convinced that bo will handle this issue as he typically does. He's angry and his thin-skin will get the best of him. Even with all of this time to prepare for this moment, the so-called long-form fake is still obvious. Trump's strategy might be to push all of bo's buttons and watch bo respond. That is a show that I would pay to see.

This is being used to marginalize us. We have soooooo much more to hammer Barack with,like ALL of his bad policy decisions. All we need to do is use his own words against him. If we keep on with the birther issue the voters who don't pay as much attention will just over look what we are saying later. I really think that we need to pick our battles wisely because this presidential campaign is going to be a rough ride. I worry whether it will even happen.

I was wondering the same thing about the President and the tornado damage. As my husband says,the areas hardest hit are mostly Republican so he won't be "campaigning" there. Is it sunny in DC? He's probably getting in a round.

Yes, you're right. At the end of his "investigation" Abercrombie cited he was told there were some "notations" in the registrar's file regarding Obama's birth but he didn't say anything about a BC being found
exactly…and for a while there they also claimed that his short-form was "the" birth certificate and that there was no long-form…whatever. I didn't believe anything they said before and I don't believe anything they say now. That's the problem with lying.

Trump has also mentioned the Tony Rezko issue. This was the real estate deal that Rezko (a convicted felon) did with Obama getting to buy his house in a very sweet deal and Rezko being allowed to provide sub-standard housing to those in Obama's congressional district. In 2008, I thought this issue would be a deal breaker for Obama but alas, the left media would not touch it. But Trump knows about real estate and knows Obama did something underhanded while pretending tonot know about it. Also, Trump has gone so far as to say Obama did not write his book, that Bill Ayers did. Most people however do not realize that the place of birth of Obama, if it was in fact Hawaii, does not matter, since he clearly now admits his father was born in Kenya, East Africa, which immediately makes Obama ineligible to be president, something he wilfully and knowingly lied about to the Ameridan people. And the DNC was complicit in the deception, something most of us here know all about.
You are correct, the fact that the father was born in Kenya means that he is a dual citizen and therefore not eligible to be President. The message that you need to get out is that NBC means two parents, not an underage girl who had a baby in Hawaii.

Well……..first….there is two reason why Obama waited so long to release his BC. One that he committed fraud and second that "an" old memory prevented him not to. Let me see, in 2008, the old homosexual Larry Sinclair was making alot of noises. Embarrassing Obama and he won't stop neither. Now, if you were Obama, would you have released his BC with the name Sinclair on it? I don't think so. He probably believed that this would have "stirred" the old blow job in the limo to the surface, which, by the way, was fair to bring up (the republicans brought up Monica) and maybe Hillary Clinton would have won. But, the liberal media wouldn't bring it up, would they? So, here we have a man who we don't know if the Sinclair name was the reason or he just stole the information from a dead person like his social security and we have a illegal President governing us. take a long hard look at the top of the alleged document. That did not come from any bound volume but they made it look that way. I am not an expert at anything other than not being very good at making digital copies of documents, and knowing what they look like when they are scanned and the outcome is BS

Guys, it's not a fake. The layering is simply what a high-quality scanner does, it wasn't put together from various sources. Going on about it being a fake makes us look bad. Try this: imagine if Sarah Palin released Trig's BC, and the "Trig Truthers" reacted like this, calling it a fake. Seriously, think about it. We now have the short-form, the long-form, two contemporaneous newspaper accounts and several people who knew or saw BO as a baby in Hawaii. He was born in Hawaii.
Much better questions to ask: why does he have a Connecticut SS#? How did he go to all those elite Ivy League schools and what were his grades like? On what passport did he visit Pock-ee-stahn in the 80s?
how can a scanner layer a document? it is essentially a high quality snapshot or replica of the image- a fancy schmancy copy machine. layers are parts upon parts in a digital work that enables someone to manipulate the image to the desired effect. i admit, i am no expert in geekspeak or computer programs, but i have played with photoshop enough to understand that much.
i have a very nice office scanner at home and it has always given me flattened images, not layered, until i have duplicated the layer. i have also worked for a photo company where i scanned and restored images on 1/4 million dollar machinery and yet, they were still flattened images until the layers were duplicated and whatnot.

I can confirm as a graphic designer that, although a scan is a flat image (usually something like JPEG or TIFF), PDFs are not flat. Opening up any PDF document in Adobe Illustrator, even scans of flat images, are layered documents. Why? Because your PDF writer (either Adobe, or one of the open-source ones) are converting the original file into PostScript, and that's just how it works. They're usually just random groups and masks and stuff.
I have to say though… President Obama is really good at delivering hilarious one-liners. Very entertaining.
I agree with the questions you ask in paragraph 2. It is not just the BC and how long it took to conjure up a document for the public, it's *all* the documents that have been sealed. Why is it that this man's paper trail is so impenetrable? Why all the idiosyncrasies? Why is it such a big deal to allow access to them?
My concern with the release of a BC is that O's camp will use this as an excuse to continue stonewalling for the rest of the docs. "You people are never satisfied!" "It's racist to ask for these." "We've been through this all before and look where it got us." "The POTUS has more important work to do (translation: golf, Oprah, weekly WH parties, endless vacays)."
My hope is that the American citizenry will continue to ask the pertinent questions about this man's documentation, despite the scorn and mockery from the Left. There comes a point where the name-calling becomes meaningless and persistence will pay off. We know this guy will relent eventually — he always does when push comes to shove. Personally, I wonder if the birth certificate he released isn't the one from before he was adopted. That could partially account for why it took so long for him to produce it – it would have been sealed when he was adopted and the new certificate listed his stepfather as his father. If that's the case, his legal name could still be Barry Soetero (sp?).

the "document" that has been released raises even more questions. It is supposed to look genuine, but there is sufficient about the document to believe that it is a forgery. It is not the real deal in my view.
There are certain anomolies that need some form of clarification before one can accept that piece of paper as the real deal. It even looks fake and yes that was my initial reaction, it is another fraudulent document. This document is missing the seal to show that it was released by HDOH and that is only a starting point.
The layering on the document points to something that was built up that is supposed to be "The Certificate" Things like signatures that could have been clipped from one document and used in this document spring to mind.
Also, this document does not explain why Barry claimed that he and his mother could not prove any claim on the estate of Barry Sr. If this was the correct document then what he had stated is a lie, or it could be that this document is a forgery.
It is hard to take seriously a man who says we need to get serious and then moments later flies off to Chicago to film and episode of the Oprah show. Like telling a kid to stop swearing because, damn it all to hell, swearing is wrong.

Look in the drop down menu for Face the Nation and make a comment. We have to go right back at the media when they decide to circle the wagons to protect Obama. In my comment I told Schieffer that he and the rest of the media have done a great disservice to this country by constantly protecting Obama and never asking him a hard question.
I would also ask if we are in fact not equal under the law? One should never fear challenging any authority on issues without being called an inflammatory name. As a non-white man, I would be disappointed if someone didn't want to ask me questions for fear I would call them a racist. We are free to question and should be protected even from the likes of the media.
I want to know two things:
1) Obama's apologists always claimed that the only reason he refused to produce his birth certificate was that there was something "embarrassing" on it. What exactly IS this mysterious "embarrassing thing"? NOTHING on yesterday's piece of paper could possibly be construed as "embarrassing".
2) When is the document going to be forensically analyzed? I believe I've read that Donald Trump will demand that it be submitted to an independent forensic document examiner, but I've lost the link.
Without forensic analysis, it's nothing but toilet paper. Only the very gullible will accept such a controversial document without any analysis whatsoever. I refuse to believe that all Americans are that stupid.

The document was put through a forensic document examiner, but that's not the point. Most rational people never really doubted Obama's citizenship, until it seemed like he refused to show any documentation of such. This should have been done in 2008, not three years later.
