Do unto Bart Stupak what Dan Savage did unto Rick Santorum

Posted on March 22, 2010 by HillBuzz // Hillbuzz

Years ago, gay radio personality and webmaster Dan Savage decided to punish then-Senator Rick Santorum for the bile he spewed at the gay community.

So, Savage coined the term “santorum” as the word for a previously unnamed, brown, sheets-staining byproduct of a certain bedroom activity.  We know many of you are reading this at breakfast, so that’s as descriptive as we will get.  You can Bing “santorum” for more details if you need them, but Savage’s goal was to forever associate the name “Santorum” with the thing he railed against. More or less, it worked, as “santorum” might not be a word you hear all the time in your circles, but we hear it now and again in Boystown, and everyone knows it’s called that because of Senator Rick Santorum.

We need to collectively do the same thing to Bart Stupak.

Our idea, initially, was to coin “stupak” as either a noun or a verb to describe an act of betrayal, Benedict Arnold style.

But, on reflection, we think “stupak” should become a euphemism for “abortion”.

“Stupak Clinics”.

“Teen pregnancies ending in stupaks”.

“Stupaks being performed on millions of the unborn”.

If the conservative/moderate/independent community started using “stupak” to replace the word “abortion”, it would catch on.  At least to the degree “santorum” did.

Every day should be a reminder to Bart Stupak what he did, and the principles he betrayed.  Whenever he looks his name up on Bing — and we have a feeling he’s the type who Bings himself every day, to see how popular he is and admire goofy pictures of himself looking as ugly as he does, because, wow, is that guy ever ugly — he needs to see clearly how his name will forever be associated with what the Democrats did yesterday, in moving to federally fund abortions.

Even those of us who respect a woman’s right to choose DO NOT WANT the federal government funding abortions.  That is not where our federal tax dollars should go.

Stupak’s the man responsible for this funding.

His name is now Mudd in our book.

He’s as vile as any santorum we could ever possibly imagine.

So, let what was done unto Rick Santorum by the Left be done unto Bart Stupak by the rest of America.

The impact on my personal life because of all of this has been tremendous. Why? Because, like most conservatives, my husband and I have been “polite,” and kept the peace among family and friends by avoiding discussing politics as much as possible. No more. Whenever anyone complains, I ask them how that hope and change is working for them. I hold them personally responsible for the mess we are in.

“Even those of us who respect a woman’s right to choose DO NOT WANT the federal government funding abortions.”

This gets right to the hypocrisy of the “pro-choice” movement’s support of Obamacare. A woman’s “right to choose” cannot be reconciled with government takeover of health care. Either you believe we all have the right to make our own choices — including choices about reproduction and health care — or you don’t. The “pro-choice” platform is just a convenient mechanism to use an emotionally charged issue like abortion to generate attention and votes.

I am pro-life, but I have never understood how legal right to abortion = taxpayers should pay for it. We also have the legal right to cancer treatment, plastic surgery and caesarians. This does not mean that everyone else should have to pay for it (well, it does now, if this isn’t repealed).

There are no hospitals who worry about losing federal support because they don’t have an oncology department or an NICU, yet hospitals are forced into providing abortions, regardless of their own board’s views, or they cannot get the federal funding. I’m not thrilled with federal funding for hospitals, but if it is there, it shouldn’t be skewed like this.

Perfect euphemism for Stupak, Boyz. I’ll henceforth use it whenever the topic comes up. Stupak’s mark of Cain! BYW Dan Benishek’s Facebook page now has 12,839 fans. I was so damned mad last night I could barely sleep so I monitored it. There were so many posts and comments in the discussion section about your effort to find his major donors.
I know this is going to sound corny, Boyz, but your post about Eeyores during the Brown election was just the kick in the ass I needed and change my life. It was if you were speaking directly to me. I live in the bluest of blue areas so I’m used to my candidates getting destroyed in every election. My Eeyoreism became much worse after Obama became president and also due to great financial loss in this recession.
In short, I’d lost my will to fight, to believe. That one post changed the way I was living my life and made me see clearly that, even though the chips may be down and the odds long, one must play to win always. To live my life and work politically not with fear of not losing foremost in my mind, but with an eye towards assured victory. Thank all of you for giving me the kick in the pants I needed.

It’s funny how inspiration comes to us… I prayed on Saturday for God to guide me in the fight against those who would undo His gift that was bestowed through the Founding Fathers. I woke up yesterday morning on a creative bender like none other. I’m going in sooooo many directions at once, trying to at least document the ideas coming in. Then the Boyz ask for people to land hard on Stupak and Slaughter, and it fit perfectly with what I was already working on, but without an outlet yet.

The fly in the ointment that queered the whole deal was Pelosi thought she had the votes without him and allowed him to take the fake stand and then realized she didn’t have the votes without him. That’s why they set up the fake EO with Stupak and Obama. Pelosi met with the female Democrats on March 17 to give them a heads up on what the 3 of them cooked up and that it wasn’t real, so they shouldn’t get upset and change their vote

Kneppy (09:18 am ) post has a great idea. Read the following post about getting on Stupak’s website, and consider this as an action plan.
Start following where your local misrepresentative is preparing to speak. If a line forms afterwards to shake said miscreant’s hand, be sure to be the one that makes a quiet show of not doing so.
You can even make a statement like
“I’m not afraid of catching germs. I just can’t shake the hand of someone who refuses to represent the wishes of their constituents.”
It’s much more effective to basically tell someone to f off if you do so with
    civil language and mannerisms.

Judas eStupak sold out to ‘his Messiah, Barrack Hussein Obama’ for 726,409 peices of silver. Given in the form of three, tiny Upper Peninsula Michigan airports. The flight abbreviations of which should now be known as FTS-X or FBG (FetusBeGone).

I plan on using, in every day conversation…starting now, Stupak in the form of ‘ultimate selling out; caving in; bullied into submission.’

“Oh wow, you really Stupaked yourself.” Like ‘s#hitting the bed’ means a wimpy fail; well Stupaking will be like getting smacked…and immediately handing over your lunch money.

I too signed up and friend Dan Benishek, who seems like a nice guy. Since he won’t be able to practice medicine anymore…I perceive his new Congressional gig as one of Barky’s ‘shovel ready’ jobs. Yippee…Mr. Benishek will have a job…and Mr. Stupak won’t.

And in the greatest move YET on ObamaCare Reform…the brave, healthy (for now) lunged, PATRIOT who yelled out ‘BabyKiller’ now must be found.

    Yes.

Like a dog with a bone…the lames are ‘on’ this. They have narrowed it down to ‘someone’ in the Texas (G-D BLESS TEXAS) who dared sully the ‘moment of the Messiah.’

I too want to know who yelled that out…because, somehow, someway, I will promote that man as best I can from here in PA.

A minor but important tweak. Use “Stupak” as a verb, not a noun. As a noun, a girl thinking of having a “Stupak” will never catch on and makes the cause seem shrill, ridiculous and a bit self-mocking. If she’s thinking of “Stupaking” the baby, it leads other avenues where the word can be used and that’s where it catches on. I may have to Stupak this conversation in the bud, if you get my meaning. Stupak that idea, we have another plan. I Stupak the motion. Eventually this all leans to the campaign slogan: “Stupak Stupak.”

Of course the communist HuffingtonPost will attempt to blame McCain.

However, McCain is not the Communist Obama.

He has been a strong voice against this non-Health care scam. He hosts Bill Bennett’s radio show every Friday.

His editorials appear regularly in national publications, and is asked to provide commentary on Fox News and other outlets.

But Dan Savage sure showed him – oh yes he did.
Rick Santorum has been relegated to a life of irrelevance, whereas Savage is universally recognized as a heroic purveyor of smut.

Good show, Savage. Enjoy your health care rationing…and BTW thanks again for the non-entity Bob Casey, King of the cucumber and mayonnaise sandwich eaters.

Terrible idea! Think of all the people names Santorum or Stupak who have absolutely nothing to do with these two. Sorry boys, but this one reeks of high school pranks etc. Last night and this morning I’ve read plenty of ideas to discredit Stupak without harming anyone else by the same name.

Oh, and the bedroom story is gross.

Not sure if this is what you’re looking for, but whenever I hear the name Stupak I thinkn of this dialogue from Witness (Harrison Ford and Kelly McGillis)
    John Book: Schtulpig? What’s ‘Schtulpig’?
Rachel Lapp: On a farm, when a pig is born small like that, it’s called schtulpig, a runt.

I’m thinking: it involves pork and runts and abortion (because runts aren’t generally allowed to live). Not sure how I would work it into conversation, but it might be a good lead-in to political ads.

Here is the thing that is the most mind bogging to me–Liberal dems pride themselves on being the champion of the minorities, they have been exploiting blacks FOREVER! More black babies are aborted percentage wise than any other, Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger advocated abortion to “get rid of the undesirables” and yet 98% of blacks voted for this man. If Repubs and Conservatives were truly racist they would be all for funding abortions! The assploding hypocrisy is beyond words.

This is one avenue that Blacks themselves must address… with a little help from some friends.

Kevin Jackson has been doing that.. but he is a lone voice.

I just tried to google Stupak and the top selection was “stupak baby killer.” One start is to bomb Google with creative stupak search terms. “Stupak baby killer” works, but what should the other top search terms be?

“stupak judas” might be a nice start.

Targeting Stupak is worthy project just for entertainment value alone. And he must lose his seat to a Republican and lose it huge.

As a practical matter, the Dems won’t be the least bit upset to see him go and they won’t expend much effort to save his sorry behind. They would love us to us divert all of our attention to Stupak, Nelson and Blue Dogs whose losses are foregone conclusions. They went into this knowingly sacrificing these people.

Our task is to knock off the easy ones, while achieving high-value trophies. We need more Scott Brown elections.

Just last night, my husband and I were discussing how vile it was that liberals claim to be against hate speech but spew it worse than any other group out there. We talked about how conservative individuals like Rick Santorum, the collective Tea Partiers (“teabagging”), and even Robert Bork (“borked”) have been targets of liberal hate speech.

I’m a conservative and read your blog on occasion. Personally, abortion offends me so much that I just can’t even bring myself to using “stupak” to describe the procedure: it seems too flippant and dismissive of what is going on to that unborn human life. “Stupak” is too cheap in my opinion. Stupak to me represents a treasonous traitor who helped sell his fellow countrymen into bondage to their government.

He sold us and unborn babies for some plane landing strips and cheap airport carpet.
