Do Elena Kagan and Charlie Crist go to Halloween parties together?
This is clearly a Halloween party — that, or it’s a night out at the filthiest bar we can imagine, where cobwebs cover the back walls…and apparently the maid is too busy dressed up as Tinkerbelle to do anything about them.
We almost think there was a Disney theme to this party…with a drag queen dolled up as Cruella de Vil…the afore-mentioned Tink…and Elena Kagan dressed inexplicably as k.d. lang.
Maybe she’s “the boy from Flight of the Navigator, wearing a suit for the dvd release party”.
High-concept costumes never work.
Kagan seems like a lot of fun to hang out with, though, if she goes to Halloween parties at all. We never trust people who don’t like Halloween, and don’t like going to costume parties and having fun. Even if they aren’t EXACTLY dressed up — since it is hard for people in important positions to get way with wearing costumes in public. They always have to be aware that they’re being photographed, and those photos never go away in the age of Facebook and Twitter and random blogs.
It’s going to be interesting how Kagan handles the next few weeks of her life. Being at Harvard, in Boston, it’s not unthinkable she went to all sorts of events like this Halloween party, and was photographed with all manner of drag queens.
Why are pics of Kagan so close to drag seemingly readily available — when there remains an embargo of shots of Charlie Crist at the Green Iguana in Tampa, Florida, oranging it up in drag himself, like a bad Charlotte Rae impersonator? We know it happened. We know people in Florida not only know it happened, but have the photos. But, for whatever reason, Republicans seem wholly averse to exposing Crist’s reality to the public.
Will it be the same for Kagan?

My vote is for Mike Myers as Kagan (which sounds a great name for the villian in the next Austin Powers). I think it really is Myers with a great makeup job…

Boyz I really hope you are right about Kagan being a wild card. So far today, as more information has come out, I am not encouraged. Kagan describes herself as a lifelong liberal and once said she wanted a more leftist left. That sounds more like Obama’s progressive ideology than I would feel comfortable with.
Unfortunately, having never been a judge before and only practicing law for a few years, Kagan’s record is small. I hope we can learn more about her in the coming days.
This woman should not be confirmed. The only “qualification” she has is the almighty HARVARD.
People look at HARVARD and they go wow, she is qualified to be in the SCOTUS. BS!
I live a couple miles from the Green Iguana in Tampa. I could be wrong, but I don’t think it’s a gay bar.
I womdered about this, too. I previously did an internet search on that bar name, and I could not find any information from anyone that indicates the bar to be gay friendly. If I remember correctly, since my search happened months ago, I think the bar is also a franchise. I also didn’t find anything seedy on the net about it. I wonder if it is possible that the name of the bar that Charlie frequented is incorrect?
You boyz should send the photos to Brietbart…he would probably post them. You could also run it on your site with an essay asking is Crist really a Drag Queen/who is dressed better, etc.
I don’t buy it at all. That would be like saying that any of Obama’s appointments are innocent, accidental.
I’m getting wind that she’s an environmental activist. That would be a convenient thing to have on the court IF cap and trade is passed, when having to deal with those pesky lawsuits that would be forthcoming.
She also consulted for guess who…AGAIN Goldman Sachs. But people are like ‘but she wasn’t involved with investment’…which makes me think of Ayers and the whole ‘we really weren’t FRIENDS’ even though they served on the same board for years and the guy offered up his home for Obama’s campaign launch.
Something stinks with this one, and it’s what we don’t know. AGAIN, putting someone with a tiny little track record that cannot be critized, yet also cannot be examined. Sounds like Obama himself (and look what happened with that!).
Sorry, I’m terribly cynical about this stuff and I don’t like the fact that there isn’t something to point to that shows who she really is.
As to her homosexuality? Don’t give even the tiniest crap at all about that. I don’t care if she does drag or whatever else that could float her boat. I want to know what this person is going to do on the court and this one matters because of her age. If this is a mistake, then it’s not a four year mistake like POTUS, it could be a FORTY year mistake.
I agree. The only thing I’ve read about her that has made me feel even the slightest bit okay is that she worked in the Clinton administration and they are pretty moderate. Otherwise, the most concerning thing I’ve read about is her support of oppressing free speech and her banning of the military from Harvard.
She has had negative feedback from other supreme court justices as well on several topics. I don’t think this will be an easy appointment. The free speech stuff bothers me tremendously as does the anti-military. But there is not much we can do about it. I sure hope no other justices leave during the next two years.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg is not in the best of health.
I think she’s Obama-lite…in the loafers and elsewhere.

The more I see and hear the more nervous I feel about this appointment. She is starting to give me a bad feeling.
I’m now more concerned about Kagan’s lament in a thesis she wrote comcerning why socialism has never taken hold in America. She evidently is fond of it, and therefore cannot be trusted. Her brother was involved in radical causes. I have to wonder how much of him has rubbed off on her.
Probably more than enough. I am wary of her also. I think she’s going to be touble.
For those who are interested, the Hillaryis44 website has a good post up right now with regards to Kagan, and her lack of a personal history. There is even a comparison made to the lack of historical information for Obama. I never expected that type of article from that website since I guessed that the admin there would have been a Kagan supporter. I was foolishly wrong on that.

“…dressed inexplicably as K.D. Lang.” LOL. She would look so much better without the excess avoir du pois, and PLEASE let that hair grow. What is it with the Joe the barber look? And ditch the big floppy poly/cotton blouse worn outside the suit jacket. With a little makeup and style, she’d look fabulous. As for her politics, if she follows the Obama lead, they’re just ugly to the bone, no makeovers there. And as for Charlotte Crist-Rae, he always seems as though he’s somewhere else, even when he’s speaking. I bet if his thoughts were a bubble above his head we’d see a sweeping taffeta strapless, something in a peach or lilac to set off the orange with a gardenia wrist corsage and shoes dyed to match the dress.
