DAILY DOOM ANTIDOTE: Solid proof Obama is planning a concession speech event for November 6th Election Night — 10/18/2012 –
[ Barack Obama is deliberately choosing to cloister himself in one of these fortress-like buildings cutoff from the public on Election Night this year...which is a far cry from the Grant Park victory party he planned in 2008 in the heart of Chicago where thousands were encouraged to worship him like it was a triumphant cult rally ]
[ If you remember, the 2008 Obama victory party was held in Grant Park, where the Obama cult declared him to be a living god-king who would lower the oceans, patch the whole ozone, and deliver hope and change and unicorns to everyone. Nothing so grandiose and extravagant is being planned for November 6th, 2012...for good reason ]
I’ve written before about the fact that Barack Obama was not planning another big Election Night victory party in Grant Park here in Chicago like the spectacle he put on in 2008, because no one I know in the Parks Department or in the event planning community had anything on their radar for Grant Park that night. Because of the permitting and union rules that plague any event in this City (which wouldn’t be waived even for Obama, due to liability and insurance issues the City would face if anything went wrong and permitting was not followed to the “T”) we would have known a few weeks ago if Obama expected another win and was going to celebrate in Chicago again. That massive Grant Park victory rally took a while to plan and involved far too many vendors for anything similar to be replicated this year without people already knowing.
I’ve suspected for some time that Obama was going to plan for a concession speech on November 6th, but last night final confirmation arrived in the form of leaked news that the Obama election night event is being staged in private McCormick Place, not a big public setting like Grant Park.
Let me put this as clearly as I can because it’s crucial: if Democrats really thought Barack Obama was going to be reelected, then they would have planned a massive rally in Grant Park again; the fact this is not happening is proof that, despite what you hear coming out of the Ministry of Truth that is the national media, the Democrats really do not expect Obama to win this election. Campaign operatives in Chicago are, thus, making appropriate preparations for his imminent defeat.
Instead of Grant Park, Obama’s apparently going to have his election night event at McCormick Place…the convention center here in Chicago.
Let me explain a few things about McCormick Place that you could intimate from the photo above:
* it’s separated from the City by highways and is hard to reach by anyone traveling on foot from the various “El” trains that service Chicago…which indicates this event is not intended for throngs of Obama supporters.
* there are no buses that readily service McCormick Place like they do Grant Park…so once again, this event is not being planned for the public to come and celebrate with Obama.
* McCormick Place is completely indoors and is a venue that Democrats can easily control in terms of the camera angles and stagecraft of the event…which is a big deal because losing campaigns choose small, isolated places to hold concession speeches while winning candidates are feted on election night in, well, places like Grant Park.
I was an event planner here in Chicago for several years before the 2008 presidential campaign. I planned events in McCormick Place for various trade shows; it’s a building designed with flexibility for downsizing an audience if the need suddenly arises so that the participants do not feel lost in too much extra space. There are modular walls that achieve this, with dividers capable of cutting a space in half…and then in half again…if that’s what needs to be done to make a sparse crowd seem bigger for cameras.
Despite being within sight of the Museum Campus and Soldier Field, McCormick Place is a fortress-like island surrounded on most sides by freeways or railroad tracks (with the lake on the other side). This is where the G-8 summit was held, so the dignitaries could be isolated and kept as far away from the public as possible in downtown Chicago. Because the only realistic way of reaching McCormick Place is by taxi (or car, if people drive themselves) this is clearly not a place Obama would be holding an election night event if he really thought he was going to win the election. How on Earth would his throngs of supporters be able to reach him if he won and the event was held here of all places?
McCormick Place is not a spot to hold a victory rally, folks…but it is the ideal spot to give a concession speech.
Take a look at that photo above again. The place sits on the highway. After the results come in, Obama just has to deliver his concession and then he’s in his car and on his way to his house in Hyde Park while Mitt Romney takes the stage in Boston as the new President-Elect. The highway that runs through McCormick Place leads right to Hyde Park…it would be less than a three minute drive for the Obama motorcade after they leave the convention center to head home and sulk.
I just don’t know any way else to put this, but planning his event at McCormick Place instead of Grant Park again (or another high profile outdoor venue like the Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park, for instance) is a tacit admission that the guy is going to lose and will have an early bedtime on Election Night in Hyde Park at the Obama/Rezko Mansion.
Great Merciful Zeus and Sweet Whitney Houston, this is a shocker because even if he remotely expected to win he would have at least scheduled something in a fancy hotel in downtown Chicago that the public could be a part of. But that’s not what they are doing: they are deliberately having his Election Night party in a place that prohibits the public from congregating easily.
I think this might be a way to avoid riots or other public disturbances from the Obama cult here in Chicago…because if they aren’t encouraged to assemble anywhere here on November 6th, then they won’t be assembled and ready to riot. That might have happened if they had the event at a hotel in the Loop…and it would have definitely have happened if they did a big Grant Park event.
But McCormick Place diffuses all this. It’s isolated, remote, and pedestrian-unfriendly.
The perfect place to discourage disappointed supporters from gathering with an easy escape route for Barack and Michelle to their Chicago home when it’s announced he will no longer be the president.

That place *does* look like a fortress. I’ve planned events as well, and the flexibility of those “walls on wheels” is very handy for sizing up or down. Gonna be a sad night in Chicago for the Left.
Thanks for your analysis, Kevin.
I have to say this does look like a fortress. Kind of the way the military bases are set up. Jutting out on the water with limited access. Having some familiarity with Chicago security I am struck by the bunker like nature of this set-up. 2nd command post if you will. Hugo Chavez style elections come to mind.
Forgot to tell you this. We live on a short street. Two campaign signs finally went up today: one Obama, one Romney. We drove all the way to our county Republican office to get a yard sign and were aggravated that they were closed even though a bright neon Open sign was shining in the window. But tomorrow the Romney signs will take the lead because we *will* get a yard sign up.
It seems rather strange that the Obama campaign would choose such a venue. Very curious. From greek columns to rock star sized crowds to this. Makes no sense.
Yes. I’m in marketing and event planning, too; optics matter. Makes perfect sense – your conclusions are spot-on. I’m encouraged to see selection of a remote venue, situated to prevent formation of crowds, etc.
Great insight on this, will send this link out. Really enjoy your work.
Although I’ve seen only one Obama sticker in Auburn, WA…and a few R&R ones, Washington is probably toast (pure blue). But I think I’m going to still make some home made signs in support of R&R, I think they speak louder than the campaign ones.
0_0

I am also in WA. But further south (South Hill)
Been seeing many more R&R signs here.
We may be blue now but just maybe we can get to purple this time.
Blue or red – gets decided by the actual vote numbers…
So even if your state is likely to be an uphill battle, you can’t exclude the possibility of red, what with the O’s being depressed by the situation, and especially if we can mobilise our side.
So we all have a job to do (obviously with due deference to each one’s individual situation)…
Oh, and: Thank you for your contribution in this battle!
I Bellevue, I am seeing 5:1 Romney signs & stickers, including mine!
We are only 20 points behind, according to the last poll I saw.
Our friends in UT stuck an empty chair in their front yard with no sign and no explanation but gosh it speaks volumes!
This is a really interesting analysis, Kevin, and thank you for posting! I watch a lot of the news on Fox (and check out CNN and MSDNC fairly regularly to keep up with what they are saying at any given moment). Listen to as much talk radio as I can and read online, and I still had no idea about this until you posted.
It does seem rather unlikely he (or any candidate) would just want to celebrate with their own people and not at least a decent chunk of “normal people”, so to speak. The only other explanation I can think of for this is it’s a security issue (i.e. an indoor facility is easier to secure). But that doesn’t make much sense either, given the fact that he has outdoor rallies all the time. It’s really interesting to think about, and I hope it is as good of a sign as it seems.
I am in VA. Not in the burbs of D.C. but in another population heavy area. Lots of Obama yard signs last time and some McCain signs. This time, I have seen very, very few Obama signs. Not many Romney signs either in individual yards, but tons of the huge banner type signs for Romney on busy roads and at businesses. I’ve seen a decent number of Obama bumper stickers, but far less than last time. Virtually no Romney bumper stickers. Our campaign HQ has been out of them for months, finally got a few in last week, but they were gone almost instantly. So I think that’s more of a problem of lack of supply than a sign of anything. It took them a ridiculously long time to get yard signs in as well, which was frustrating.
All that said, I think (hope?) ultimately VA goes to Romney. Defense is a major issue here, because so many folks are military or related to military. If the military’s budget is slashed like the Dems want, the VA economy will be in big trouble. We are doing better than many states as of now because we have a good, mostly conservative governor (McDonnell). Obama being reelected would be disastrous for us.
I’m in Virginia too, was driving by George Mason University the other day and the neighborhoods around the school had about a 15:2 ratio in favor of Romney/Ryan signs.from what I could count.
Funny thing is Obama spoke at George Mason on 10/5, and he’s RETURNING on Friday, 10/19. Don’t know what he’s expecting to gain by going back.
I think he likes to go there on Fridays because it is close to home and they have a nice small venue for him to perform in.
It’s almost impossible to get R/R yard signs here in CT unless you buy them yourself online from the campaign. We’re trying to convince them that CT may not be as solidly (D) as it was last time, but at only 7 electoral votes, we’re not that important, sadly.
Same here in NJ. I finally broke down and bought them with my last donation. Now I just hope they get here before the election is over!
We have refused Romney signs and bumper stickers out of fear of vandalism. A lot of my friends have said the same thing. Really, do you watch your car every minute?
I have a Romney bumper sticker and a lovely key scratch down the side of my van….in Oklahoma which voted solidly against Obama in ’08. I can only imagine one’s hesitation to have stickers in states with larger numbers of Obama supporters.
In CT Seeing more R&R than McCain but sill alot of Obama.
Could he be planning to steal the election and thus expect riots for that reason. Could also be why he chose a remote spot.
Thanks for your input VAgirl! I am in FL and R/R yard signs out number BO signs 35 to 2. I went driving around last week and did my own polling, that was in a six block radius and included two businesses. Yesterday I had a couple in a truck in back of me at a traffic light take pictures of the rear of my SUV. I have two anti-BO bumper stickers and a R/R sticker. They told me they were putting the pic on internet to go viral! This is happening everywhere here in FL. I constantly get honks with thumbs up for my bumper stickers while driving. So cool! I think this article is absolutely correct. BO is toast and he knows it. CAN”T TAKE AMERICA DOWN. Can’t be done. Good job to all you Patriots for fighting the good fight. No stopping until Nov. 7th! God Bless America – Land that we love. Stand beside her and guide her forever!!! Go Romney/Ryan!!!
Kevin, I am from Sweden and this is the first time I write here although I go here often, I like your well written, informative articles. I read about your healthproblems in the previous article and I wish you well so very much. I hope you can keep on with this blog for a very, very long time.
Kevin –
Would greatly appreciate your take on this article:
http://theulstermanreport.com/2012/10/17/alert-white-house-insider-bin-laden-version-2/#comments
I think this is nonsense.
I hope you are right. Other sites reported prep for a Libya hit. It is not out of the realm of possibility he strikes Libya for commander in chief points.
If so,will the public buy it? It is so obvious to us that this is a wag the dog scenario but having made hundreds of voter calls over the years I am never surprised by what the public believes, ever.
I hope you’re right Kevin. It might be fear porn, but Obama may want to do anything to stay in power.
As if an “October Surprise” will fix the economy and suddenly pay down the national debt and create well paying jobs. People are hurting and afraid for their and their kids’ futures and no foreign policy “surprise” will fix that. They’re not suddenly going to be hungry for Obamacare because of anything that happens overseas to make BO look heroic.
Sorry, I had to vent.
You are right if all were logical in any election.
A “rally round the flag” and MSM 24/7 “isn’t Obama masterful and what a leader”, paired with “how dare you criticize in time of crisis” could easily swing those that wallow in the “undecided” category.
If this group had any understanding of those issues to begin with this race would have been over months ago.
Three words: Obamacare Obamacare Obamacare. It scares the h*** out of voters.
Kevin, the rumors are in fact flying around on the subject. I read, watch and wait.
I agree that it seems to be nonsense. Besides if he did it, then he would create a major incident by such a move.
Excellent and logical, as always! Thanks, Kevin; I shared this on Hype and Fail on Facebook, where we point out the FAIL in this administration (and our government in general) every day. Come visit us!
Minor typo, Soldier Field – Despite being within sight of the Museum Campus and Solider (SOLDIER) Field, McCormick Place…
Interesting bit of information. I think their party on 11/6 will not be very happy. I may not love Romney, but we will crawl through broken glass to elect him on 11/6. I do not know if we can turn MN Republican, but we are going to try like all get out. From Romney – Ryan to the county supervisor and judges, I will be voting conservative.
And I am respecting Romney more and more as I see him without the MSM distortions and the older distortions by his primary rivals.
Good luck, and I hope you find a fun party on 11/6 to celebrate your successful work.
I live in Vote Betty! Say no twice! central and while there are a ton of political signs, there are only a few presidential signs.
Reagan took 49 states. MN voted Fritz. I don’t know what would’ve happened if the D was from some other state.
Nan,
I live in the same area. I’m voting for Tony Hernandez and “Yes” 2x. Ask your local Neo-Marxists why they aren’t voting for Tony. Maybe they’re RACISTSSSSS?
Is it possible that the venue was chosen because Obama will say that ” The Election needs to be investigated” rather than that he won or lost. Sorry to be a conspiracy theorist but I think this will held up in the courts for months because of voting fraud-such as what happened with Gore and Bush.
It’s kind of amazing that THEY are the ones who perpetrate voting fraud,THEY are the ones who stand in the way of meaningful election standards, and THEY are the ones who will likely tie the election up in court in the event that the votes they bought and paid for are not enough for Barky to win.
they will not be able to scream fraud if there is a landslide.
They tried that in 2010. A few people lost their seats because they did not anticipate what happened.
Here in my home town in very blue Middlesex County New Jersey, I have not seen one Obama/Biden sign.
Even our Mayor, who was a delegate at the DNC doesn’t have an Obama sign on his lawn.
Everyone is RUNNING from him!
I hope you’re right Kevin, I really do. the Soetero idiot has to be defeated and evicted in 3 weeks!
I was driving thu MD for work this past week, and I remember in 2008 I saw all these Obot signs everywhere, MD is pretty blue from what I understand. I saw all these other signs, “Vote no on Q7″, “Vote yes on Q7″, lots of “vote no Q6″ , lots of Hoyer signs.
I’ve just seen a few Obot signs, they are the kind that say “2012″ but not “Obama” and the small kind that have 2 wires at the end and you stick into the ground, while at a traffic sign, I happened to right along one of them, and it has an upside down smiley face spray painted on it. Kinda of stunned me, because this was in Upper Marbalo, black population is high for this county.
I have seen some sticker of Obots, but nothing to the level of 2008. MD will go blue, also I see all these “Ben, my friend” posters everywhere, for Senator Ben Cardin. but no Obama signs next to it.
I hope they kick out Ben Cardin, they have this really awesome repub opposing him, Dan Bongino, he used to be a former SS for Barry Soetero.
Does anyone know what exactly Romney is planning? And don’t the candidates generally plan large outside events, even if there is no way that they are going to win. I distinctly remember McCain having something outside in AZ, and there was no way in hell he was going to win after the entire financial system nearly collapsed in mid September 2008.
Kevin is right.. McCormick just seems like an odd choice. I went to a huge career fair there called NSHMBA about two years ago today when I was getting my MBA and can tell you that the only way to get there is via taxi. It is meant to be accessible to people driving from the airport for conferences, not to downtown itself.
What an excellent way to start my day-great analysis Kevin.
So some polls were done of the early voters in Ohio. 56% of them identified as part of the Tea Party. I need to look for more details on this poll (found it at Battleground Watch), but if true that already spells disaster for Obama.
Also Bruce Springsteen is now giving one hour performances before Obama rallies. He needs others to draw his crowds?
He keeps speaking at universities and while Romney and Ryan keep creeping deeper and deeper into blue territories like Toledo, Obama hasn’t dare set a toe outside his deep red areas.
I am curious in regards to your comment above. I take it your not a fan of the WH insider stuff then?
We need Ohio like Obama needs Reggie Love. If Obama looses there his chance of recovery becomes really sketchy. I hope all the early voters know the war isn’t won after they vote. We all need to stay focused and secure every vote we can.
Bruce Springsteen gave a huge free concert for Kerry against George W. Bush. I remember because I hated Bush then (I now no longer give my hate to people, like Obama) and the picture of the huge crowd, it took up an entire page of the NYT, gave me hope Kerry would win. We all know how that turned out!
I am not saying this will turn out the same with BHO. Just saying free concerts do not always indicate the candidate (Like John Kerry, BHO) will win.
Kevin,
Obama is in Manchester NH ts morning. I really don’t understand the point of bringing him back into a state with 4 electoral votes! Anyone have any thoughts?
GBC
I was thinking that he needs the eastern-most states to be blue to prevent voters in the other time zones from seeing that it’s a lost cause. Just imagine how demoralizing it would be for west coast Obamabots if places like NH, VA, FL and PA were red (I know, PA is just a tease).
Fear GBC, pure fear. He knows he’s losing and trying for every last electoral vote he can get. If he was sure of NH, why go there?
Desperation!?!?
I’ve gone to a convention for the past 8 years at McCormick Place. Kevin is spot-on about how isolated the place is and how it’s so unfriendly to pedestrians and the general public. There is ONE hotel that connects to it. The attendees of our conference always stayed at either the conference center hotel or the Sheraton or Hyatt downtown; if we stayed off-site, we were transported by bus to McCormick because it’s impossible to walk there (and quite dangerous.) Even though I’m familiar with the lay-of-the-land downtown, I honestly would have no idea how to safely walk to McCormick.
It’s indeed a fortress and a huge complex. Our meeting would have anywhere between 2-5,000 in attendance and because of how things can be configured as Kevin described, it always felt relatively the same.
This is super cool news indeed.
Michelle headline on Drudge claims they will party hard on Nov 6th. I would love to see her face when the news that the country has rejected the pair of them. Am also hoping to see Chris Matthews. Might not stay up that late but will try. Am praying for God to have mercy on us and grant us a loving leader as President. The contrast when Romney takes office will be clear to even the blindest leftie. I get information from Hillbuzz that is ahead of all other sites. Thank you Kevin and Tam.
Actually she said November 7th. Maybe she meant they would be partying hard in Hawaii…hahahaha.
The “party hard” part is still accurate if you consider binge drinking ‘partying’. Can’t imagine how they don’t both go on an almighty bender once the results come in. Part of it anger/disbelief, part probably relief that even the pretense of doing the job can be let go now.
Obama is buying radio time in Minnesota. PPP poll has Obama only up 5 in Washington. MAYBE, MAYBE Romney will get as many EV’s as Obama got in 2008.
I wonder if the fortress like quality means they are planning some ‘occupy’ events? We’ll see…
Makes all the sense in the world. If Obama thought he was going to win he’d prepare a place where he could be worshiped by his “followers.” From the way you described the place, it’s like he picked a bunker.
I am so looking forward to his concession speech, it will be the first time I ever watch a complete speech of his. I’ll probably be giddy with joy.
Ralph
Like Hitler’s bunker? heh
Somehow a “concession party” doesn’t seem like it would be a whole lot of fun. What does one do at a “concession party?” Cry on each other’s shoulders and whine about those dumb voters who don’t know what’s good for them?
Yes, that’s some “party,” I tell ya! Couldn’t happen to a better group of people!
I literally cannot imagine Barry giving a concession speech.
Whining, yes, and saying that the forces of racism and reaction have reared their ugly heads again … or something. But a goodbye-and-good-luck sort of thing?
I imagine him standing at the microphone, stumbling over words, repeating himself, until Valerie takes the mike away from him and says something like, “The President thanks you all for coming; good night, the exit is that way.”
Trouble is – even if he loses, we’re still stuck with him until January 20. Is he going to spend the last ten weeks playing golf and hiding from reporters?
How about reading something from the teleprompter.
Great reporting! Thanks for making my day Kevin.
Well, I sure hope you’re right about this. All I can say, is don’t get cocky, as Glen Reynolds says. We thought the Supreme Court was going to strike down obamacare, and we got a rude shock. Remember that these people are pros at stealing elections. I’m praying this country comes to its senses and votes the marxist-in-chief out.
Still too many obama signs in this town, but they finally got Romney yard signs in at the Republican headquarters, and we have one of the four I’ve seen here. No bumper stickers for either candidate, although we FINALLY got our Veterans For Romney sticker, which is prominently displayed on our truck. Apparently the supply of yard signs and bumper stickers is low.
(Insert graphic – Kevin Bacon as Chip Diller shouting “All is Well” at the end of Animal House.) In an effort to head off panic the Obama campaign has sent forth Jen Psaki to try and keep the sheep in line. Her message is anything but convincing. Tell me if you agree,
—————————–
Jen Psaki in The Hill:
Look folks. It’s tight.
It will be in every state we’ve all pored over and turned over in our minds instead of sleeping…scheduling trips for Obama and Biden nightly, “…and if Jill Biden hits the Denver suburbs….”
And yes, if either campaign pulls out of any state or makes a sudden play for a new one…that’s a tell.
Btw…to hell with national tracking polls…where the candidates GO and spend time tells us more. And the state poll averages of course. But we all know that now.
Obama shows up in PA or Michigan — trouble.
Romney shows up in North Carolina and Colorado…trouble for him, etc…
And Gallup sucks.
———————————
Is that the worst Rah Rah message ever?
People in the leftist bastion where I work have been a lot quieter since the first debate. I don’t know if they are bottling up some of their enthusiasm because they have an idea of my political leanings now or if the thrill is mostly gone. They will still vote for him, but the most vocal out of the group is more excited about an entertainment event that is upcoming in the area.
I thought the last debate would have the chance of revving them up as these are pretty hardcore supporters. I heard nothing yesterday. Like I said, their vote is determined, but the lack of excitement makes my life easier and is encouraging regarding the outcome.
My comment may have been eaten by my own web browser (that dingo ate my comment!) so I’ll post again.
I did hear a little bit more today from the leftist O-bots in the office who were carrying on about the election. I have not been seeing enthusiasm because there *isn’t* any enthusiasm. They are just one stage above being Eeyores. One of them hadn’t bothered to change their voter registration to this state yet, so they can’t vote at this time in these elections. If they were excited, they would have done that quickly.
They are angry. The most excitement that I saw out of any of them was a snippy promise that they were going to bring in donuts to celebrate on November 7th.
They specifically said that they “hate Romney”. One of them related a story about how some woman in a store wouldn’t have had anything unless she got it off of the back of the speaker’s grandparents. Ridiculous.
They went on to down a guy in a political commercial who was “acting like he was in a Negro spiritual” because he was in a commercial promoting what his (white) boss had done for him. Never mind the fact that his white boss is a doctor who still accepts Medicaid patients and the fact that his boss is running against another white guy.
Basically, these leftists are only voting out of an insane hatred for Romney, because of the “free” goodies to those who live off of the government (never mind the fact that these voters had to work their way into the positions that they have to get the money to have the nice things that they possess), and because of Obama’s skin color. It’s really vile to have to listen to these sorts of things.
Personally, I plan to come to work on the 7th with a smile on my face and a song in my heart. I’ll be having one of those donuts too if they actually bring them in.
Wow! That YES We DID! poster, that I never saw before, just sends chills up my spine! How absolutely creepy!
On another note, I went up to our local Republican Headquarters the other day to get my Romney/Ryan yardsigns and bumperstickers. We are in the middle of a very blue traditional Democrat (union) area. This headquarters had bricks thrown thru their windows twice in 2008. I am in Western PA. They just got their Romney yard signs in last week. But…although a lot of people have stopped in to get them, many more (my daughter included) are afraid to put them in their yards for fear of retailiation. That is why I hesitate to put on my bumpersticker because I have to drive thru some areas that aren’t exactly receptive to Republicans.
I mean, when one of our local police officers had a Republican sign in his yard in 2010, he was told to take it down because it was the Democrats who got him his job. Have to stay on the plantation or your job is in jeopardy. If you are a tradesperson in this town, you had BETTER be registered Democrat if you want to see any work come your way. But, once in the voting booth…..38% of voting registered Democrats in this town DID NOT vote for Obama in this year’s primary.
Has anyone noticed the O-logo this year? On yard signs, bumper stickers, t-shirts – a ridiculously small font Obama-Biden on a vast field of blue. Almost like the message is being whispered in a hushed, embarrassed voice. Or like two little bitty men trying to rule.
Kevin, from your lips to God’s ears on this one.
Your thought process makes sense. Being as arrogant as Obama is, you would think he would be doing the flashy party thing, to thumb his nose to the world, we won, you lost moment.
When they start ordering black balloons and black crepe paper , like they do for the 40th birthday parties, we should pay attention.
Spot on Kevin. Thought your earlier observation @ lack of booking leading up to election was cogent as well.
Kevin you are better than Sam Spade or Philip Marlowe. The last piece of the puzzle and it makes perfect sense.
You are a modern American Patriot. And in the traditon of patriots past, you are eloquent.
Team Romney is doing same, no public victory planned at a hotel for all to go to… it is a closed event with campaign workers and staff only…..
I think this is so volatile and FBI, Secret service want tight controls for riots, etc.
I am not taking that as an indicator BO thinks he is losing.
He is desparate for sure; but he still is in there and we have to vote …. VOTE HIM OUT NOW.
Thanks you for this wonderful news – brightened my day considerably!!
I’d bet money that they instead go straight to the airport and spend most of their final days traveling. Gotta squeeze every last dime out of the taxpayers.
I saw somebody else comment about this picture Paul Ryan posted a few days ago on Facebook. I wanted to second their sentiment. HUBBA HUBBA! Work it, honey!
http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/547046_166731003450684_748175713_n.jpg
LOL, I love how both the men and women appreciate the physique…
“Let’s get fiscal!”
Kevin,
Wondering what your take on this is.
http://www.buzzfeed.com/wiowsa/one-of-your-presidential-candidates-isnt-being-ho-4afz
Inner city Indianapolis is solid blue when it comes to Fed reps.
Reports of signs for the dem senate and house reps in yards, but
without Obama signs. Westside – where I live I take different routes to each place I need to go. Have yet to see an Obama sign. I would think that some of the people from 2008 would have kept their signs and put them back up as soon as was legal.
All signs are in limited supply compared to 2008 for both parties.
Makes sense. I’m sure President Obama realizes he’s in a much more difficult political situation now than he was in 2008. Very much more difficult.
OMG, Kevin! You are the best!! Excellent work!! Thank you! I feel better now that they have no plans of stealing the election which was bugging the back of my mind.
woooohoooooooo!!!!
I am working for Romney in Boston and I have to be the by 5 am to check in with FBI, Secret Service and it is still an undisclosed location. I will not know it til the end.
I will not be able to say where it is either. Even campaign offices are not clearly identified here in Boston. It is called a campus and there are no signs that it is Romney offices either.
David Paleologos from the Suffolk Polls told me riots are expected.
It is very sad that this man, obama has put so much hatred and fear into the citizenry of this country.
He was never transparent, nothing about him or his platforms were transparent and he fostered fear and distrust by his actions.
No one knows anything legit about him. He is too secretive and he is a MANCHURIAN PRESIDENT.
All of Mitt’s supporters who are not volunteering but were at the victory party after GOP primary cannot celebrate with him.
It will only be his staff, volunteers like me who are vetted for sometime now and advisors. NO one from the outside gets in; it is a fortress also. Only FBI and SS know location of Romney’s election day site.
As Kevin mentioned, riots are unlikely, so I’m doubting this story. It strikes me as conspiracy momgering
I say let them riot, they only screw themselves by doing it – the irony of the Rodney King riots was that by torching their own neighborhoods they accelerating commercial flight out of the area which resulted in poorer conditions post-riot. Real smart cookies those rioters are.
The riot risk may be miniscule, but the SS does not take chances with such things – hence they would tend to take things more seriously than they are likely to be…
So I can actually understand why the security staff would want such venues chosen for the election night – what somewhat surprises me, is that the O’ camp is (seemingly) going along with this carefulness.
Yes, it’s sad, baffling, infuriating — that an exceptionally fine and accomplished man (as I’ve come to see Romney) is being painted as a cold, heartless demon and/or an incompetent fool, while the devious, untalented, soulless narcissist is still viewed in some quarters as a leader of rare genius and virtue.
How can so many be so blind?
Does anyone know Boston plans? I was wondering what they’re doing in contrast.
This is great news, but let’s all go vote like our future depends on it. Take nothing for granted.
BostonRN
What is your ground report for Boston? My instincts tell me Kevin is right, but my inner eeyore is brewing. Jacksonville has almost zero Obama signs. We have seen under 12 bumper stickers. I am a public school sub so I drive through all the neighborhoods.
But if I am reading this right, both campaigns are taking measures to be very secure and discreet. This may actually be a national security measure and not so much a campaign directive. For that reason I wouldn’t read too much into the facility that Obama has chosen.

Maybe he’s afraid of patriots rioting when he steals the election….
This may have been addressed before and if so my apologies in advance but here goes. When do you think that Obama may have come to the conclusion that his reelection chances were remote?
The reason that I ask this is because his campaign hasn’t acted like one that anticipated victory for months but rather would take a win if they got it but was essentially apathetic either way. Or have they known for a long time that his reelection was unlikely, especially given the massive losses during the 2010 cycle? 2010 would explain his haste to pass as much as possible since he knew that the American electorate didn’t want it but being an “ends justify the means/by any means necessary” kind of guy he went ahead and rammed as much through as possible.
My gut tells me that Obama mission from the beginning was to institute massive govt growth in order to usher in a new age of “social justice” and with the Obamacare and Dodd/Frank now law 90% of what he wanted to accomplish was on the books. Hence, his apparent apathy in terms of a second term agenda – basically he doesn’t think he’ll win and even if he does, he’ll spend the bulk of his time at his new Hawaiian villa.
This conspiratorial but I wonder if the various forces that shape American politics let it be known that and second Obama term would not be, shall we say, “welcome”.
Had to come on and post this when I saw it- in two rooms on the bottom floor of my dorm, there are Romney/Ryan signs posted prominently in the street-facing windows. There were also some very vocal Romney fans at the debate-watching party the other night, including someone who yelled out “You lie!” after Obama’s closing statement.
(Of course, there were also the people who whooped out “Yeeaaaahh…” every time Obama accused Romney of lying, and “Get ‘im, get ‘im, get ‘im” every time he stood up to respond. I guess they considered it an useful contribution. I considered it making fools of themselves.)
Also, I was just home for fall break (southwestern PA) and was seeing far less Obamanation than four years ago. Even very public areas that always sprout signs for all candidates for everything seem to be lacking O signs this time around. On top of that, most of the R&R signs are pretty clever. My mom’s favorite is the Jewish “Obama? Oy vey.” My favorite is either the “OOPS” with Obama ‘O’s, or “Save the coal: Fire Obama.”
delicious!
Leavenworth seems to be much more appropriate and he wouldn’t need his fleet at all, surrender to the MP’s, be deloused and showered, and indicted within the hour…easy- peasy!
“cutoff” > “cut off”
“whole in the ozone” > “hole in the ozone”
Nice post. Do you know where Romney is holding his victory party? It would be nice to contrast the venues.
Not one Obama sign up at all in Boston and this place 4 yrs. ago, tripping over them… NOT one. Newton, Cambridge the same and I mention these places as they are leftie kool aid drinkers.
Obama had to PAY for his volunteers here this time around.
At least Mitt does not have to pay for his volunteers.
Obama running ads on Lifetime and CNN late at night.
Why? I thought he had MA in the bag? Why waste money on tv ads?
Mitt won’t spend a dime on ads in MA.
The people know him and it is time to forget that he would not run for another 4 more yrs. He was darn good as gov. and put us back in the black from the RED we were always in with the democrats.
Obama had a lead in june of 32 points over Mitt. It dropped to 15 in Aug. and NO one will say what it is anymore.
I do NOT do polling anymore; last time I did I was calling Newton, the biggest leftie city in the country. It was split 50:50.
Before that, no one was saying Mitt for POTUS.
ME is going RED, that means NH will too.
People in MA if they want to keep their dignity better vote for Brown and Romney.
Warren and BO are both frauds.
Obama is spending the Boston market because New Hampshire sees them.
Regarding riots, I do not think blacks will riot … absolutely not.
David Paleologos, Suffolk Pollster told me there may be riots and it does not matter who wins. You have weird haters out there, esp. on the left who are putting up death threats to Mitt right now.
These are the extremist from Occupy peoples who tried to blow up bridges a month ago, of course, the MSM will not cover that too much because Occupy is associated with the democrats like BO and Warren who claim they started it all, esp. Eliz. Warren.
There are real haters out there and that is why these victory or loser parties depending upon the winner are all closed and will be in lock down mode.
From your mouth to God’s ear. I believe your instincts are right. We have to do better and Romney is the person who can turn our economy around.
No ideal on Romney’s location … it is being picked by FBI Boston and Secret Service. I will know last week and I and the vetted people will be setting up … NO outsiders!
Sad, that the elderly who went to Westin Hotel during GOP victory party will not attend this one…. it is only staff, vetted volunteers, Romney family, Ryan and family and lots of Secret Service, FBI.
This was never done before, John Kerry had the Copley Place Hotel and it was open. There is HATRED in the air now.
I believe BO has caused more hate and division in this country amongst Americans than any other person sitting as POTUS.
However, Lincoln governed under challenging times….
Still not telling me why they’re so nervous. They released where Barry is going to be on Nov. 6. and he is still the sitting Pres. Plus, the Secret Service was perfectly fine with a black Pres. elect addressing a crowd in Grant Park in 2008. And crazy racist lone gunman scenario would have caused riots.
It just strikes me as odd that the Secret Service would suddenly be more concerned about violence this year than in 2004 or 2008. No one said boo about Obama appearing in Grant Park in 2008 despite the fact that racist nut killing the black Pres elect had to be a nightmare Secret Service scenario.
Rich:
I think there was an underlying feeling after 2010, there would be a loss. Obamacare and Dodd-Frank are in place which will completely socialize this country and usurp what we are originally about and ironically, Eliz. Warren wrote much of these bills.
She is a phoney and a very dangerous woman.
Dodd and Barney Frank never worked in private industry in their lives; they are political hacks who know nothing about business.
Romney wants to get rid of it all, all of it and the democrats know this and they are fighting hard for a victory because all of their marxist works will be undone.
What we have to fear is all of the new executive orders BO will write after he loses and that is trouble right there. He intends to overload Romney with a mess and burden him so much that he does not get to Obamacare and Dodd-Frank soon. Remember, they are time dated to take effect.
Rich: you nailed it in your post, I am in agreement with everything you state.
Everyone, remember that Obama has far more money than Romney but I do not believe he can buy this election.
All the money is from foreign sources and no one knows who or where. I blame the GOP for not being more diligent on this one as they knew in 08 he was pulling this stunt.
We have NO idea what foreign countries, peoples he is obliged to … we do know that BO rewards those that pay.
Look at the green energy companies … all paid for by BO campaign contributors. You have to Pay to Play with this WH… very very dangerous for America.
Oh man. I’m getting in so late on these comments nobody will see mine, but oh well.
What I’m wondering: What is Romney doing to prepare for his ACCEPTANCE speech?
Kristin, I’m one of many that read ALL posts. If you take the time to post, I make the time to read.
There’s Romney campaign insiders that follow HB, so I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough.
As we used to say in Intel work, one piece of info adds to the path, but 10 pieces makes a trend.
But I think your on to something. Good work. Ever think of doing intel analysis as a career?
Your my first read each day.
Hi Kevin;
Could it be for safety purposes? O will be quite a target if he squeaks through this one. Perhaps the Secret Service thought he would better protected in the convention center.
E
Kevin,
I just have a hunch he’ll never spend another night in that Hyde Park home. Especially on election night! Ugh! That would be liking taking a huge step back for him.
A positive polling story over at Ace of Spades. I feel the pro-Romney energy out there!

There is SAMCOM listed on their website from Nov. 4-7. It is not small, but a step down like from Mile High Stadium to the Charlotte Convemtion Center
Drudge has a link to an article at Politico. Apparently the school the first children attend was evacuated due to a suspicious package but everything is ok now.
http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-TV/2012/10/18/Clinton-It-Is-True-Obama-Hasnt-Fixed-Economy Ooopsee! Is this the beginning of the Clinton drip, drip, drip that Kevin has been referring to?
Oh. My. Goodness. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/2012_elections_electoral_college_map.html
Officially shows MI in the tossup column. Speechless here…
Here’s a link to the gateway pundit. He has the video of Clinton that rush brought up at the end of his program and everyone is whispering about:
http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2012/10/bill-clinton-romneys-argument-is-true-obama-hasnt-fixed-country-its-not-fixed-video/#comments
same story but different link:
http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/bill-clinton-romneys-argument-true-were-not-fixed_654893.html
I laughed when I saw what Clinton said. Talk about some doublespeak of sorts
On top of that Diane Feinstein also dropped a tiny bomb today.
Reporting from about an hour north of NYC in the Hudson Valley:
No Obama signs, or bumper stickers, a bunch of Gadsen flag stickers on cars though, and some mocking Obama, usually the one with the letters of his name going down that say One Big A$$ Mistake America. The only political signs I see are for local races, and most of them are supporting Republicans.
Since this is the open thread, first, I just read on Breitbart that Romney leads in the Real Clear Politics estimate of Electoral College votes:
http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/10/18/romney-takes-electoral-college-lead-for-first-time
Second, to state the obvious, Kevin has been far ahead of the curve on this. Truly he has led readers in a correct and positive direction. I salute him. In fact, based on his writings and links, a month ago I bet a co-worker $5 on Romney. Every day I see that money becoming more and more mine. And before anyone else says anything, I already donated $5 to Hillbuzz.
Finally, an Eeyore who has gone unmentioned is Paul Mirengoff at Powerline. The Powerline boys used to be my 2nd-favorite site. I encouraged others to use them as news source. Mirengoff’s drumbeat of pessimism at last provoked me to delete them from my favorites. Like Noonan, Will, et. al., he deserves to be taken to task when Mitt Romney becomes President-elect.
I never watch “the five” but happened to see it today. Dana Perino didn’t want to jinx romney as she’s expecting an October surprise. And Beckle was very mean spirited. He stunned his other panelists into “well all rights” when he showed a picture of mitt romney’s california house and said it was one of six and described an elevator that brings the cars from the basement. It’s the newly built house. But it came out so catty, it made you disgusted that Beckle would stoop that low particularly since they say he built the house cause the climate is good for Anne’s health concerns.
“Barack Obama on Benghazi: ‘If four Americans get killed, it’s not optimal’”
“President Barack Obama, during an interview to be shown on Comedy Central, has responded to a question about his administration’s communications after the Benghazi attack, responded by saying: ‘If four Americans get killed, it’s not optimal.’”
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2219867/Barack-Obama-Benghazi-If-Americans-killed-optimal.html?ito=feeds-newsxml
Blowing four years and billions of dollars on vacations, golf and your political buddies isn’t very optimal.
Getting an american ambassador and three others killed because as president you are stupid enough to trust bloodthirsty killers is a national tragedy.
My god this guy is such an ass.
Looks like Obama may have just cost himself a couple of million votes. Twitter is burning up with the reaction to his stupidity. The video has just disappeared from the web. If anyone finds it record it. We need to rub some noses in it.
Well, to be fair, it could be due to incompetence.
Ground report from Metro Detroit: My Jewish (a Democrat demographic, otherwise unimportant fact) podiatrist told me he is very passionate about voting President Obama out this year. He explained to me that the AMA endorses Obamacare, but it only represents 13% of the nation’s doctors, and most of those are family practices that believe they will benefit from the new healthcare law. Unfortunately he will be laying off two of his nurses in January when the new regulations will further diminish his medicare payments by another 24.7% (I believe that is the number he used). He will also stop taking medicare patients. Multiply THAT by all of the doctors’ offices throughout the country!
I am a government employee who works in Detroit and I find that most of my union coworkers are still lovin’ the Kool-Aid. However, I agree with your previous “Thinkers” comments about strong mammas, and I do believe that the hardworking black women are not as supportive as they once were. I also have a black male friend who told me last week that he is voting for Romney. He does not see any value in President Obama.
Here in Michigan there are five ballot proposals aimed at rewriting our constitution – ensuring public sector bargaining rights forever, prescribing to clean energy standards within a certain timeframe, requiring homecare workers to be unionized, requiring a super majority vote to raise taxes, and requiring public approval through the voting process prior to building new bridges. The bridge proposal is bought and paid for by a rich gentleman who couldn’t get his bridge built (Canada will not deal with him), and is now getting union support even though the desire for a new bridge was originally a Left effort that our new Republican Governor happened to agree with, so he wheeled and dealed with Canada and the Feds for a great matching fund program, thereby squeezing the rich gentleman out. A sixth proposal is aimed at stopping our Governor from appointing emergency financial managers to oversee poorly-run cities.
Our state is very much Left, but there are kinks in the armor. The Democrats despise our new Governor, even though he is not Old Republican… he lives outside of Ann Arbor and has probably supported more Democrats throughout his life than Republicans. I don’t see Obama signs or bumper stickers anywhere, and Mr. Romney was, after all, born in Detroit. One can only hope that we are able to deliver on election day.
I agree with you 99.9% except for the fact Metra Trains go right to the door of McCormick Place. I also wonder if the DNC doesn’t have the money for a fancy downtown hotel?
I don’t think most Metra trains go there. If you come from the western suburbs, you come in through either Union or Ogilvie. I think the northern suburbs come in through Union station while most of the south suburbs come in through LaSalle. From those stations, the walk is a pain and the buses are annoying.
Also, anyone driving in is going to have to pay a fortune for parking at McCormick place.
Honestly, I’ve been to McCormick Place about 15 times in the 7 years I’ve lived here in Chicago.
13 of those times I just took a cab because I couldn’t figure out how to get there by train. When I say train, I mean the “El”, which is our “subway”. There is no station convenient to McCormick. I guess I could get off at either the Roosevelt station (by Museum Campus) and walk the equivalent of probably 10 blocks or I could get off at the ChinaTown station and walk about 10 or 11 blocks…but the ChinaTown stop is located in a spot where I don’t know if I could get across the freeways and railroad tracks on foot to reach McCormick.
Twice, I actually walked to McCormick Place from near the Shedd Aquarium where I had gotten off a water taxi from Navy Pier. It’s about a 25 minute walk and goes around Soldier Field and Northerly Island…and then there’s McCormick Place.
This sucker is ISOLATED. They built it so that the only reason you are anywhere near the place is if you are going there specifically. It’s like the Sears Tower or something that’s sitting right in the middle of lots of other things, so you can just walk past it and say “Oh, there it is”.
There’s just no way for people who live in Chicago to get to McCormick easily.
And there are not enough cabs to transport people wanting to go there if Obama was really having a victory party there. That’s WAY too many people to be trying to take cabs there.
And the people who would want to go to this can’t get there on foot easily…and the wouldn’t be riding Metra trains.
For those who don’t live here or know, Metra trains look like Amtrak trains (kind of) and they go to the suburbs. The “El” trains look like subway trains and are just in the city.
Chicagoans who do not live or work in the suburbs almost never ride Metra trains and often have no idea where the stations are located.
The Metra Station: McCormick Place Station:
23rd St. between King Dr. & Lake Shore Dr.
Chicago,IL
I took this to Auto Show twice from Homewood, IL.
The Metra downtown “hooks up” with the CTA downtown. It’s not isolated. Also the Convention Center is huge, the largest in the US. Your correct about everything else. I thought Grant Park in November was stupid in 2008. Chicago in the winter? Perhaps the Demon-crats are trying to avoid a 2011(like) Snowmageddon?
Uh, November in Chicago is gorgeous. It’s not winter. You realize that winter starts on December 21st, right?
I don’t know what dimension you live in, but I’m actually on the ground here in Chicago.
The majority of Chicagoans do not ride Metra…and they do not “hook up” with Metra via the CTA (subway). That doesn’t happen for most people. Commuters do it, yes…but the people who went to the 2008 Grant Park rally are not Metra riders. They are people who ride buses and the CTA. They are not people who know how to “hook up” to Metra to get the McCormick. They would not be doing this by the thousands.
November 4th, 2008 was a warm, gorgeous night here in Chicago. I remember clearly what I had on…a button down shirt and a sport coat. I did not need a heavier coat. People walked around in tee shirts.
Unless the Chicago that exists in your alternate dimension is in the Arctic, it’s not “winter” here yet and McCormick Place is not being chosen “due to weather”.
That’s the lie the media told when Obama moved his Convention speech indoors in Charlotte…on a gorgeous, clear, warm night in September. He did it because he could not fill a big venue.
McCormick Place is designed to be as big or as small a space as they need it to be that night…until Grant Park, which would require throngs of cultists to fill.
Do you not know how a Convention Center works and that it can be divided up easily using moveable walls? That’s the whole point of a Convention Center…this flexibility on what it can host.
Been to a couple of comic conventions at McCormick Place. Can be a bit of a hike getting from point A to point B if the shuttle drop off is not the same building as where your event is, but beats being out in Rosemont all to hell. I’d say some of the retailers in McCormick are nervous if Obama loses. But if you expect the potential for Thunderdome, best to have it contained in one spot.
GROUND REPORT: Had to take my Aunt over to Barnes in St Louis for a check up today. SW IL/STL Sign & Bumper Sticker Count: Romney signs – 5 (1 yard also having a “NOBAMA” yard sign), 1 Obama/Biden sticker on the back of a Toyota as we were leaving Barnes, In the area of Barnes & SLU a corner lot had a bunch of Dem signs (The largest being for Clairebear w/ what I thought was a big sammich but what turned out to be a so-so attempt at a silhouette of the state) – very obvious by its absence, no sign for Obama among those statewide party candidates. Makes one wonder if the campaign not lending support to House, Senate and statewide candidates isn’t starting to bite Barry in the butt.
Fort Worth zero yard signs in my neighborhood. Almost half are decorated for halloween so people are feeling optimistic as that is like an invite to 300 kids to knock on their door Oct 31st.
I haven’t seen a sign or a billboard that wasn’t for a local race.
Of all the campaign mail I have recieved, I have only one Romney bumper sticker It merely says Mitt. Very cool!
I’m from the Chicago area as well and that does make sense. It is also easy to close off I-55 if needed. It is odd that he wouldn’t go to to a hotel. Going to McCormick Place is a pain and you do have to drive in bascially during a Tuesday rush hour to get there (unless you take in the train and get a cab). I predict riots in Grant Park when he loses.
I think the state Democrats are laying low this time, possibly preparing for a Hillary run in 2016. Hillary is from Park Ridge.
Here in Sacramento there are only a few Obama signs up throughout the city and the neighboorhoods. In my area four years ago, a man had a huge sign with flowers decorated all around it….nothing this year.
I am originally from Chicago, and I have to say that McCormick Place is large and only accessible from I-55 and not the public transportation so this is the perfect place for a concession speech of some kind and not a victory celebration.
RRummors of Gloria Alred to throw onecof her famous harpoons to derail the election with some sort of fabrication seem to spreading. The LEFTISTS will say and do anything to win . Good luck to us all.
i confused the photo with the current location for “the walking dead”.
or maybe not.
Down along the gulf coast of Louisiana, we have hardly any Tee-Vee commercials that are “approved” by Obama and even less from Romney.
I have literally seen ZERO Obama signs anywhere, however I have seen many Romney signs.
It almost seems the only election on the horizon, is the Congressional Race between two Seated Republicans due to re-districting…..
This is only my personal opinion, but after the crippling Drilling Moratorium placed by Obama has destroyed even the smallest of chances he may have had to carry the vote.
One must think Obama will be defeated in a huge way on 11/06/12 and all parties believe this to be true.
In this area, you would have been hard pressed to find homes in reposition, but now there are many, many! We are NOT better off than we were 4 years ago!!
Thanks for your analysis Kevin. I think you are spot on.
In our retirement neighborhood of about 500 homes south of Houston, TX, there are a slew of Romney/Ryan signs and 5 Øbama signs. One neighbor counted on her daily walk. Our street met for National Night out a couple weeks ago and everyone who came was solidly behind RR team. The Øbama house on the corner didn’t dare send a delegate I guess. Unless Øbama solves a lot of the worlds problems by election night, I will bet on his needing the fortress cut down by half and half again for his parting comments.
Posted your link for reference of what I’ve been saying also on my blog to Democrats.
http://codyjudy.blogspot.com/2012/10/lost-democratic-party-game-on.html
Here is another take on it: http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2012/10/17/obama-expected-to-hold-election-night-rally-at-mccormick-place/
It seems overall a general security issue and just a precaution if the weather turns. In Florida during the DNC they had to change things because of the weather. There’s a saying in Chicago: If you don’t like the weather, wait 10 minutes. It can go multiple ways that night. McCormick place happens to be the largest convention center in North America and can hold at least 10,000 people, usually more. That doesn’t seem like a place to hide out and give a concession speech. It is bigger than the Grand Ballroom at the Hilton which would only hold about 3,000-3,500 in standing room as a guess since it seats 2,400. It seems the choice was based on logistics and procedure for keeping the President of the United States safe rather than a political maneuver.
I was born and raised in Chicago. McCormick Place is NOT pedestrian-friendly. There is no way to walk there – unless you want to walk a LONG distance. Additionally, the traffic will be horrendous for anyone attempting to get there. For popular events like the annual auto show the traffic is always a nightmare. Additionally, no one will even know what time to show up for his speech. It may be easy for Barry and the Secret Service to get in an out, but it won’t be easy for the average Obot.
I live in Issaquah Washington and work in Redmond Washington. All I see are Obama stickers out here.
I do wonder if Obama really wanted to win. His handlers (Jarrett, etc.) wanted him too. It seems Obbie likes to play. He is not what I would call a hard worker. He plays hard and is skilled at organizing when he has the right people to organize, but he does seem to have a lazy streak. He should be out of the White House for his crimes and in prison, along with his cohorts who got him in our White House.
