I’m in the field most of today trying to find 350 more election judges for Cook County, Illinois. I’m also going to be guest hosting Larry Sinclair’s “Through the Mirror Show” for him from 5-7pm CST tonight. So it is a busy, busy day.
Please help spread the word to all your friends and people on Facebook and Twitter that Sharon Meroni and her group DefendtheVote.com is still looking for 350 Republican election judges in Cook County, Illinois. People can apply to become judges at www.ElectionJudges.US and by calling 312-242-1818.
For some odd reason, I’ve actually had a LOT of resistance from Tea Party groups in Illinois on getting word out about this need for judges. What I’ve encountered from most of the Tea Party “leaders” is that “this is not my county so I don’t care”. Well, it’s your COUNTRY, so you should care. I never realized the extent of territorialism with the Tea Party set. Maybe it’s just a few bad apples, but I don’t understand an attitude like that. The other thing I’ve heard from them is that “our members are all in other counties”…but they don’t make the next leap to see that while this may be true, surely SOME of those people have friends or relatives that are in Cook County and could become an election judge. I’ve said this before but it needs repeating: I love Tea Party Americans…but I am not a fan of the organized Tea Party “leaders”. I think a lot of these people are on power trips and really aren’t all that interested in doing anything on the ground and in person. Someone once explained it to me that people only have so much “juice” associated with them…and that if they use up that juice by asking people to do things, then they won’t have any “juice” in reserve. Some people are reluctant to get involved in a search for election judges like this because that means they can’t hold that “juice” in reserve for something else later. I really don’t understand or like games like this.
If you’ve got juice, use it before it spoils. Do something good with it. That was the whole point of the Tea Party when it first started…before various people acquired email lists and decided they were more important if they kept their “juice” in reserve. Not a single Tea Party group has stepped up and give any help to this search for election judges, which is interesting to me. I’ve also personally spoken with a lot of people who style themselves as “political leaders” here in Illinois and they wouldn’t help either. One of them actually said, “I just sent out an email blast a few days ago and I can’t send out too many”. Since it’s not like this would cost him postage, he’s afraid of losing his “juice” too.
But then there are people on other sites who I have personal issues with and who have issues with me…but they are helping like crazy. So this kind of thing really shows who is in this to make a difference and defeat Obama and the Left and who sits on top a Tea Party mailing list but doesn’t want to “juice-out” by helping.
This stuff gets mighty fascinating sometimes.
Tomorrow is the last day we can find people to become judges. Do you have any creative ways to make one last push on this?

Here’s a fun game to play today. I want you to do this for yourself so that you can see that the results are replicated pretty much no matter who tries it. Look for articles about the Obamas or the Romneys on entertainment, celebrity, and pop culture websites. Here are several to try this with:
Use the search function on each site and just type in either “Obama” or “Romney”. See what comes up, then click on some articles.
Read the comments on these sites (where people not very attuned to politics post their remarks). It’s shocking how little support Barack Obama has and how angry people are at the Obamas just about everywhere they are mentioned.
This is interesting because people who post anonymously online are generally in the “youth demographic” that Obama is supposed to win by a huge margin…and yet these people take snipes at him and openly mock Michelle’s lavish spending and her school lunch jihad.
It’s pretty fascinating.
THIS is why Obama is doing so many appearances on The View, Letterman, etc. He’s lost THESE PEOPLE. He’s become a joke to the people who don’t care about politics and who now resent the luxury the Obamas live in and flaunt so openly.
Obama is trying to win these people back. But it’s not working.
