Creating this new site, and moving two years’ worth of posts, images, and comments, has been incredibly time-consuming, and thus expensive. Our new web hosting environment offers high-speed file transfer and some very sophisticated security features–also expensive.
Hosting the site on WordPress.com was free. We suddenly have a big pile of bills that the site will have to pay every month. Eventually, ad sales should cover these costs. But for now, we could really use your help to retire this debt and pay our ongoing expenses.
