Class vs. Crass: Michelle Obama and Jimmy Fallon Roughhouse and Play Tug of War Inside White House
Seriously.
This really happened. It’s not photoshopped or anything. Michelle Antoinette Obama really had a play date with TV star Jimmy Fallon, where the two of them treated the interior of the White House like a playground at recess, yanking on ropes, rolling around on the ground, and conducting themselves with absolutely no awareness of their surroundings.
This is the part where I normally take something off-putting, ridiculous, or terrible that Michelle Antoinette has done and compare it to the class other First Ladies have shown throughout our country’s history…but I can honestly say that every woman who’s served in this role before Michelle Antoinette has refrained from tugging on ropes and rolling around on the carpets like this inside the people’s house.
There’s a perfectly good (and immensely expensive) wooden jungle gym that the Obamas had installed at the White House (on your dime) for their daughters — which would have been the appropriate venue for this horseplay.
There’s also White House fitness facilities where shenanigans like this could occur.
If it’s something that regular people wouldn’t be screwing around with inside their homes, then Michelle Antoinette shouldn’t be doing it in the temporary, free public housing unit she’s occupying until next January.
In fairness to her, I think she looks absolutely fabulous in this picture — she’s wearing one of the really expensive wigs and it’s nicely combed, her outfit is appropriate for what she’s doing (even if the thing she’s doing is inappropriate in its venue), her clothes are the correct size and flatter her, and the colors she’s wearing complement her. If this tug of war had been done outdoors, it would have been a home-run, fun, photo op.

Who is out of the picture at the end of the rope on Chelle's end? It falls around Fallon's feet (sorry for the gross alliteration) — the rope heading out of the frame — has me thinking Photoshopped.
Where were her handlers? Sleeping on the job? This is a ridiculous photo op for what? Immaturity.

So they couldn't take this circus act to a school gym? Not sure who I'm more disappointed in, Fallon or the First (not such a) Lady ? This is just not proper indoor behavior in anyone's house

It's so much worse than the bits and pieces I've seen in news clips. In fact it's heartbreaking to see our beloved White House treated like that. I've been done with Fallon since his treatment of Bachmann, this clinches it.
Ack! The woman's stomach sticks out farther than her boobs, and her thighs are wider than her shoulders. This is not a fitness fanatic by any stretch of the imagination. And those fake push ups? Anyone can do those. I'd be willing to bet if she touched her nose to the floor, she wouldn't be able to lift that overweight carcass even a couple of inches.

Kevin – dude – are you kidding? Did you review the long clip where she is standing sideways? Her giant ass sticks out, the disparity between her bust and her gianormous ass is readily evident, and from the side, with that belly pout thing and giant ass, she looks like kangaroo
I only see her in this picture above — and from this angle she looks great (for her). Fashion is relative. I have such a low expectation for her in terms of looking appropriate that I am thrilled by how well she is styled in this image. She almost looks happy to be there too. Maybe that track suit thing doesn’t work from other vantage points, but in how she’s staged in this image she looks fabulous.
In fact, I’d say it’s the second-best she’s ever looked in any picture I have seen her in. The best she’s ever looked was at Halloween when she dressed up as Catwoman the year they invited Johnny Depp and the Alice in Wonderland actors to have that lavish party at the White House. The Catwoman outfit fit her nicely, was appropriate for the occasion, and she smiled the whole time she wore it.
It's an official WH photo release and probably photoshopped, airbrushed and filtered. It couldn't be released without MO's permission unless it was perfect. Kev, you're sweet to find something nice to say, but don't let the Obama WH cloud your vision.
Note how the rope is taut behind her – someone else is helping her tug or it's tied to something, otherwise it would fall loose as it does at his end. More fakery. And those boots! They must make quite a racket when she walks.

Yeah, I knew it was the official WH photo release, and it's all most people will see. So typical, LOL.
When I was younger, I wasn't allowed to jump on the bed in my own house, I wasn't allowed to run in the church building, and I was on notice to be on my good manners when visiting in someone else's home — this included relatives. Pictures of me playing tug-of-war in the White House would have probably punched my ticket for the afterlife a bit early had it happened when I was small. Now that I'm older, I hope that I would have the sense not to do something like that without having someone to tell me not to do it.
A grown woman who is the First Lady of the United States, who attended an Ivy League school and received a law degree, who passed a bar examination, who worked as an executive for a hospital, and who is the mother of two youngish children should know better than to roughhouse in a museum/residence. And if she doesn't, her mother, husband, or someone who cares about her should have taken her aside kindly and told her better.
Yes Lady H, the White House is a beloved and treasured historical monument. Try doing a potato sack race in any Smithsonian museum, or for that matter, a museum in any city, country, state or country and see how quickly the guards escort you OUT.
Either she is deliberately insulting Americans or she is appealing to the immature, disrespectful, hate America crowd. Never have I seen anything like this. The usurpers must GO!
