Class vs Crass: A History of First Ladies
Lou Hoover was proud of her country her entire life, not just when she was being lavished attention as First Lady, or when her husband was winning presidential primaries and elected office. Lou applied her intellect towards learning Latin and Mandarin Chinese, which served her well as a representative of the United States abroad in China while her husband was posted there in foreign service.
The current First Lady, Michelle Obama, despite being lavished every opportunity and award imaginable, never bothered to learn a foreign language (though she and her husband both frequently chastise the majority of Americans for not speaking a second language). Quick to tell others their souls are broken and in need of repair by her husband, Michelle is happy only when given a platform to rail against the country all of her First Lady predecessors have loved with all their hearts.

It’s a small thing but I thought it was tacky to dye the WH fountain green on St. Pat’s Day.
That was Big MO’s idea.

I started it during the campaign, and ended it when the Utopias took the White House. Oddly, Michelle suddenly found America an okay place to live once the suffering masses were no use to her and their grievances became a distraction from her shopping sprees.
HB, here’s something else for ya: I read on the Fox News ticker a few days ago that Michelle and Barack Obama gave 15,000 from their personal account to Haiti disaster relief.
FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS.
When they were millionaires before winning the election and being treated like royalty on a daily basis.
One more time: FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS.
Others pointed out, he won 1.4 million in his Nobel Prize. 15k is a few coats and a couple of pairs of shoes. It’s not even a trip to Copenhagen….. Not even flight to Hawaii….
They are CHEAP!
Yeah, I wondered about the prize money, too. These two are disgustingly cheap and greedy. It’s shameful. But they, of course, have no shame.
I read somewhere online that DiCaprio gave a million dollar donation. $1,000,000.00 versus $15,000.00 –
What bothers me most about the Obamas is now that American taxpayers will be subsidizing their lifestyle for quite some time. They have spent their lives leeching off others and now after they leave office will continue to enjoy the perks of the office and knowing the two of them, will probably demand more and because there are still kook (intentional spelling) aid drinkers out there, will demand high speaking fees and the like. I find it funny that Obama has not turned over his Nobel Prize money yet (which he was not supposed to accept in the first place). They are a disgrace to this country as a whole and black people in particular.
I would like some situation to arise that will the allow the American people to just kick them out of the White House and they have to live in shame under a rock and never be heard from again.
Remember that scene in the Ten Commandments where Ramses I won’t allow anyone to ever mention the name of Moses–after 2012, erase all records and never let the name of Obama be spoken again. And, if it must, let it be in ridicule and synomous with failure.
If Chicago thinks that Utopia will return to the city and bring in tourism, they’re out of their minds. Chicago is only “fly over” country, and it served a useful purpose. Good points about the Nobel Prize money.

As much as her arrogance is offputting, her lack of manners dispicable and her style atrocious what I find to be the most disturbing aspect of the First Lady is there is absolutely no glimmer of love in her eyes. Not a trace.
Mrs. Bush and Mrs. Clinton are natural and genuine in the warmth and compassion they feel for their families and fellow citizens of the United States and the world. Mrs. Obama is cold not to mention mechanical in the way she interacts with others.
Granted Nancy Reagan really wasn’t all that warm and fuzzy of a personality but she was crazy in love with her husband since day one.
Even if you dismiss the snide comments and greivances, this woman comes across as unfeeling and without empathy…two very critical aspects of a functioning human being’s make up.
I was appalled to see Michelle on TV yesterday for an “ad” telling us to be generous to the people of Haiti. The American people are ALWAYS the most generous people in the world. For the telethon on Friday night they raised $58,000,000 (probably not all American $$ but I guess a large portion was) as well as millions/millions more coming from Americans to various charities since the disaster began. Also so many Americans are wanting to adopt Haitian orphans and taking people in to their homes. I found it kind of offensive for her to tell us to be generous to Haiti. It’s in our nature as a country and individually to be generous when a disaster hits and we don’t need MO to remind us about that. I wonder what her real agenda was?
