Oh Happy Day! GOP keeps control of Senate in WI
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvkzWoiNSDo
The Democrats needed 3 seats to win back control of the Wisconsin senate. They got 2.
Here are the ones the Republicans lost….
Democratic state Rep. Jennifer Shilling of La Crosse, defeating incumbent Republican Sen. Dan Kapanke, who had been in the Senate since 2004. The other Republican ousted was first-term incumbent Sen. Randy Hopper of Fond du Lac, defeated by Democrat Jessica King, the former deputy mayor of Oshkosh.
The BIG race that the Dems. really wanted to win was the Darling (R)- Pasch(D) race. Alberta Darling is a very outspoken supporter of Gov. Scott Walker so the unions were out in full force to try and oust her….they didn’t.
There’s a recall election next week for 2 Democrat Senators in Wisconsin. That little weasel Bob Wirch and Jim Holperin. We need to work on getting out the vote to oust these two. Wouldn’t that make a big statement…”yeah, you won 2 seats back last week but we picked up 2 this week.”
I’m waiting for the inevitable legal challenge from the left. The “they stole the race from us” routine. I watched MSNBC last night (as much as I could stomach) and Chris Matthews, Ed Schultz and Rachel MadCow all were red in the face with excitement….claiming that this is the beginning of the 2012 elections and Wisconsin is a harbinger of things to come for the Republicans.
Well…things are looking good.
“The idea that a capitalist country can support a socialist welfare state is collapsing before our very eyes”
Please read every last word of Janet Daley’s new column in The Telegraph.
What’s happening all around us right now really is the collapse of the entitlements system that emerged after WWII and metastasized in the 1970s and 1980s.
The Democrat Party will fight this tooth and nail, because Democrats need those entitlements to keep paying various factions of the Democrat Party for their perpetual loyalty.
The Labor Unions in this country must be gutted, particularly the public unions that drain local budgets and funnel tax dollars straight back to the Democrat Party, which then uses these campaign contributions to keep hold of power and extend the grasp of Unions further.
It is a vicious cycle that’s ruining this country.
Daley writes about how entitlement programs have destroyed Europe. While things happened differently here, we’re in the same place essentially.
The Cocktail Party GOP establishment has been terrified for decades of confronting Democrats head-on about all of this, since the Cocktail Party fears the bad press these battles will bring. Democrats will savage everyone who tries to eliminate entitlement programs…or even better, dissolve entire Departments of the federal government to save money.
That’s what needs to be done.
Only people who are willing to fight THIS fight should even be considered as 2012 presidential candidates.
We have really come to this point.
It’s not going to be fun for any of us to deal with, but we now have no choice but to handle it.
GREAT MERCIFUL ZEUS! Audit reveals MASSIVE voter fraud in Illinois elections!
Defend the Vote is an organization here in Illinois founded to empower citizens to protect the integrity of elections.
Shockingly, many Americans believe “somebody” is making sure the Left doesn’t tamper with elections results, using Big Labor, the Black Panthers, or other George Soros-funded goon squads to commit massive voter fraud. The unions in particular are engaged heavily in election tampering, since the unions need to elect Democrats to office so Democrats can ensure the unions bleed taxpayers for as much as possible in various union contracts.
Illinois is arguably the most corrupt state in the union when it comes to elections.
If Defend the Vote can audit the election process here in the belly of the curropt-o-beast, then perhaps we can be a test case for the rest of the nation to follow to TAKE BACK OUR ELECTIONS from the Leftist crooks who have gamed the system.
PLEASE read Defend the Vote’s latest press release detailing efforts to audit Illinois’ election process and hopefully you’ll get some ideas on how YOU can get a ball like this rolling in your own home state.
Labor union lawyer, Thomas Geoghegan, says that things built in the South are inferior.
This story really gets my hackles up. In yesterday’s Wall Street Journal, labor lawyer Thomas Geoghegan wrote an article about why Boeing is making a drastic mistake by moving their Dreamliner plant from Washington state to South Carolina. The title of the article is….
Boeing’s Threat to American Enterprise
When major firms move to the South, it’s usually a harbinger of quality decline. Why let that happen?
Quality decline? Really? So this elitist union lawyer from Chicago (yes, Chicago) is saying that here in the South, we are stupid idiots that don’t know how to build anything and that Boeing is jeopardizing safety by moving the plant to South Carolina.
He goes on to write” Why is Boeing, one of our few real global champions in beefing up exports, moving work on the Dreamliner from a high-skill work force ($28 an hour on average) to a much lower-wage work force ($14 an hour starting wage)? Nothing could be a bigger threat to the economic security of this country.” Well….another name for “high-skill” work force could be “overpaid- with- big- fat- benefits- packages” work force.
There are a number of companies that have moved to the South not only because of the Right to Work law but also because the cost of living is lower, it’s a friendly place to do business and…we have just as high a skilled work force as elsewhere in the country. BMW has a plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina… Kia Motors has a manufacturing plant in West Point, Georgia…Gulfstream builds business jets in Savannah, Georgia… and the F-22 Raptor is built by Lockheed Martin in Marietta, Georgia. The opening of these plants has had a very positive impact on the local economy and I haven’t heard anyone complain about “low quality”.
I know I’m just being thin skinned because I am a Southerner and I know that Mr. Geoghegan is nothing more than an elitist union lawyer dweeb that answers to the union thugs.
I encourage you to read the entire article….and make sure that you read the almost 700 comments at the end…..
I’m not the only one that is riled up.
The real meaning of May Day isn’t so sweet
I like to think of May Day as something sunny and colorful and Spring-y but it’s quite the opposite. May Day is actually a day to celebrate labor….as in labor workers, labor unions and workers rights. It began back in 1886 as a tribute to the people involved in the Haymarket Affair, a three day general labor strike that took place in Chicago. During the strike, police opened fire… killing 4 people… so a rally was called the following day at Haymarket Square in protest of the killings. During the rally, a riot broke out resulting in at least a dozen deaths, including a policeman. Eight people were arrested during the course of the riot and a sensation trial took place. The eight defendants were tried for their political beliefs (pro-labor). 4 of the defendants were convicted and put to death by hanging….thus creating the Haymarket Martyrs. May Day has become a day not only for pro-labor demonstrations but also for pro-immigration demonstrations. Today, May 1st, 2011, there are many protests scheduled to take place around the country…both pro-union and pro-immigration.
How can we counter protest?
We can make our voices heard by showing our support for the Right to Work Bill. Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC) introduced this bill back in March. It basically protects workers from being forced to join unions. Many states have become “right-to work” states meaning that the workers are protected by law from being forced to join a union. You can see if you live in a right to work state by visiting the National Right to Work website. Needless to say, the labor unions HATE these laws.
Rand Paul was one of the senators who sponsored the Right to Work Act. He is asking Americans to sign a petition that will be sent to your senator and congressman so that you can let them know that you do not welcome the union thugs in your state.
I’m signing this petition. Are you?
I think this should be a RED TEAM ACTION ITEM.
Have seen “Atlas Shrugged” three times in theaters now…and love it more each time

I don’t want to write a review of “Atlas Shrugged”, the film or the book, until more people have seen them…and until I have reread the full book again myself.
But I wanted to tell you that the first filmed production of Ayn Rand’s work is so interesting and inspiring I have now seen it three times, with three different sets of people, and every time the audience cheers out loud as Dagny Taggart dresses down the communists, fools, union goons, and corruptocrats plaguing her drive to successfully run her family’s business.
There are two scenes in particular you will love, I hope, as much as I do: when Dagny eviscerates a union goon and when she puts her idiot, Obama voter brother in his place.
The union goon walks into Dagny’s office and she promptly tells him to get out. He gins up the usual union threats against a business, and Dagny tells him to shut up and lets the thug know she will not be bullied and that this will not be business as usual appeasing the unions. Dagny tells the union to, essentially, commit anatomically-impossible acts upon itself…while the audience HUNGERS for corporate executives nationwide to “Go Rogue” like Dagny and tell the unions plaguing them to do the same.
And then there is how Dagny handles her idiot brother…the sort of “big thinker” who would have bought into all of Obama’s hopeychangey hooey and who still pulls the Democrat lever in elections without realizing the ultimate disastrous personal and economic consequences of those decisions. Dagny walks in on the fool playing with a model train set in his office, during the middle of the day, when he should be working. She unplugs his toy, then berates his stupidity and tells him what she is going to do to fix his mistakes.
THIS is how Americans coast to coast need to “Go Rogue” when dealing with both the Left and the Cocktail Party GOP establishment.
Unplug these fools from their sources of power and influence.
Take away their toys and tools.
Demand actual grown-up solutions to the nation’s problems, administered by grown-ups, with hard work and determined thought involved.
I left the theater every time I have seen “Atlas Shrugged” with two things in mind:
(1) working towards taking away the Left’s, the unions’, and the Cocktail Party GOP establishment’s stranglehold on this country and…
(2) making more people see it is time to stand up and become Dagny Taggarts in their own way.
The way people like Governor Sarah Palin and others do.
It isn’t easy. It takes guts. We certainly know what we are up against.
But the country we love is worth it.
QUESTION: Have you seen the movie yet? Did it inspire you?
ACTION: How do we foster a nationwide Resistance to the Left and its allies by encouraging an uprising of millions of Dagny Taggarts coast to coast?
What think you?
California teachers union pledges support of convicted cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal
We shouldn’t be surprised by this story but it still makes my blood boil that the California teachers union is supporting this cop-killing monster. The California Teachers Federation has just adopted a resolution that supports convicted cop-killer and death row inmate Mumia Abu-Jamal.
Here’s the story…
The California Federation of Teachers — a branch of the AFL-CIO — has adopted a resolution at its annual conference supporting convicted cop-killer Mumia Abu-Jamal, the Daily Caller reports.
From TheDC, which notes that Abu-Jamal is now being called a “journalist:”
Among the resolutions largely pertaining to education and collective bargaining rights was Resolution 19 – to “Reaffirm support for death row journalist.”
“Therefore, be it resolved, that the California Federation of Teachers reaffirm its support and demand that the courts consider the evidence of innocence of Mumia Abu-Jamal,” the Committee Report reads.
Mumia Abu-Jamal, a former member of the Black Panther Party, was convicted of shooting, multiple times, Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner in 1981. He reportedly confessed to the crime and was given the death penalty.
Instead of recognizing Abu-Jamal’s conviction, the federation believes he is innocent and a civil rights hero.
“Mumia Abu-Jamal has for decades as a journalist fought courageously against racism and police brutality and for the human rights of all people and has taken strong stands in support of working people involved in labor struggles and in support of well-funded, quality, public education,” the resolution reads.
But not everyone is convinced.
“Somebody should tell the California Teachers Federation that this is over, he is in jail, he is going to stay there,” Daniel Flynn, author of “Cop killer: How Mumia Abu-Jamal conned millions into believing he was framed, told TheDC. “You have numerous eyewitnesses saying Mumia did it. You had ballistic evidence – Mumia’s gun at the scene was consistent with the bullet used to kill Faulkner. Mumia admitted after the fact that he did it.”
That doesn’t matter to the CFT. “The delegates decided it was time to reiterate that they supported him due to the irregularities that they felt had taken place during his case,” a spokesman for the organization told TheDC. He went on to say that the CFT takes positions on a variety of “social matters.”
Former Green Jobs Czar Van Jones is also an Abu-Jamal supporter.
Why on earth would a teachers union get involved in a death row case?
Shouldn’t they be concerned about educating the kids of California?
Obviously they’re not.
