Great Merciful Zeus: Michael Moore calls this “the final year of Obama’s presidency”.

Posted at October 25, 2011 by Kevin DuJan // Political Figures, Political Figures - The Left, The Left

This is a big deal, I think, because it’s a threshold the Left has never breached before in my knowledge: Michael Moore calls this “the final year of Obama’s presidency”.

Previously, people like Moore on the Left have always referred to this as “Obama’s first term”, implying he is guaranteed for re-election in 2012 (or, even, for as many years as he wants, Constitution be damned).

When I read the headline about Moore criticizing Obama as a colossal disappointment, I assumed Moore would still be using the Left’s chosen convention that “this is the final year of Obama’s first term”.

That’s not how Moore couches things, though. He talks about this being the “last year of Obama’s presidency”.

This is important because it means the Left has already resigned itself to defeat in some measure.  That does not mean 2012 won’t be an epic battle with the Left mobilizing its goon squads like never before to secure Obama that second term…but it does mean that those on the far Left won’t have their whole hearts in the effort as I would have expected.

If the Left does not believe Obama will win in 2012, that could mean wealthy Leftists like Moore in Hollywood keep their pocketbooks (or in Moore’s case, his orange-Cheetos-smudged purse) closed and don’t go out of their way for the Obama campaign.  They’ll still make their required appearances, of course, just as they did for John Kerry, Michael Dukakis, Walter Mondale, and Jimmy Carter…but they won’t be too visible since they don’t want to be tainted by Obama’s loss (or blamed that they got in his way).

I’m stunned Moore is at this point this soon.

He really has given up on an Obama victory.

That means it’s even more important to ensure someone other than Mittens Romneycare becomes the Republican nominee because now is not the moment in history to serve up a mediocre “Obama-Lite” when even the most ardent Obama acolytes from 2008 are betting so soundly against him.

JustiaGate: The Obama Regime’s Latest Scandal Revealed

Posted at October 24, 2011 by Kathleen Gee // Alinsky Methods, Political Figures, Political Figures - The Left, The Left
Barack Hussein Obama Shakes Hands With Moammar Gadhafi Before Gadhafi Outlived His Usefulness

Obama Gladhands Moammar Gadhafi In Happier Times H/T SocialStudiesCanada

A valued Hillbuzz commentator noticed that terrorist and dictator deaths during the Obama Regime seem to occur when Teh Won most needs to distract the sheeple from his latest scandal.

Perhaps this week, it’s JustiaGate: apparently a deliberate attempt to make it difficult for journalists and voters to examine the issue of natural-born citizenship as it related to both Barack Hussein Obama and John McCain during the 2008 campaign.

As explained in this article from The Examiner,

Someone was incredibly busy in June 2008 working on an illegal front invisible to the public; searching and altering Supreme Court Cases published at Justia.com which cite the only case in American history - Minor v. Happersett (1875) – to directly construe Article 2 Section 1′s natural-born citizen clause in determining a citizenship issue as part of its holding and precedent.  In this unanimous decision, the Supreme Court defined a “native or natural-born citizen” as a person born in the US to parents who were citizens; a definition which excludes from eligibility both Barack Obama and John McCain.

Emphasis added. H/T Alert Reader cate007.

Will the scandals never end?

Go Bama! Roll Tide! DOJ trying to stop Alabama’s immigration law.

Posted at October 7, 2011 by Bridget // Climate of Hate, Domestic Policy, Hillbuzz, Illegal Immigration, Political Figures, Political Figures - The Left, The Left, White House Policy

Sorry about the football reference.  I’m a big Bama fan.

Fox is reporting that the Department of Justice, at the request of Obama, has filed an appeal to block Alabama’s new immigration law.

The Obama administration asked an appeals court on Friday to block the enforcement of Alabama’s strict immigration law — widely considered to be the toughest in the nation — arguing it invites discrimination against foreign-born citizens and legal immigrants and is at odds with federal policy.

What federal policy?   You mean the one that the government won’t enforce?  Oh, they must mean the federal policy that is to “look the other way and allow millions and millions of illegal aliens to flood over our border so that they can take advantage of our country and push us to the brink of bankruptcy.”

Alabama is ignoring the appeal.  Woo Hoo!

The Justice Department’s appeal said parts of the law conflict with federal rules, and that “attempts to drive aliens `off the grid’ will only impede the removal process established by federal law.” It also said the legislation could impact diplomatic relations with foreign countries.”Alabama is not in a position to answer to other nations for the consequences of its policy,” it said. “That is the responsibility of the federal government, which speaks for all the states and must ensure that the consequences of one state’s foray in to the realm of immigration law are not visited upon the nation as a whole.”

What?  Did they just say that this legislation could impact the diplomatic relations that we have with foreign countries?  Really?

Did Eric Holder and Obama worry about diplomatic relations when they authorized Fast and Furious…allowing hundreds of assault weapons to walk into Mexico so that Mexican citizens could be murdered?  I bet that did wonders for our relationship with Mexico.

You would think that the Justice Department would want to lay low right now and NOT get involved with anything Mexican but I guess this is the obligatory liberal pro-illegal game plan so Holder has to get involved.

God forbid a rogue state like  Alabama would actually want to try and defend it’s sovereignty.

Go Bama Go!  We’re with you 100%

Fast and Furious: White House still behind Eric Holder

Posted at October 6, 2011 by Bridget // Chicago Politics, Hillbuzz, Illinois Politics, Political Figures, Political Figures - The Left, The Left, White House Policy

I feel like these Fast and Furious posts are beginning to be weekly (sometimes daily) briefings….things are happening so quickly.  Yesterday at a press briefing, Jay Carney made it perfectly clear that the White House continues to support Eric Holder and maintains that the AG isn’t hiding anything…that he didn’t (nor did the White House) know about the details of Fast and Furious.

(The Hill)“The president believes he’s an excellent attorney general and has great confidence in him, and we absolutely know that the testimony he gave was consistent and truthful,” Carney told reporters at a press briefing.

If this were any other Administration, the AG would have turned in his resignation by now…if for no other reason than to take responsibility for their team.  If something bad happens in your department on your watch….it’s your responsibility.  Eric Holder acts as if the Department of Justice has nothing to do with the ATF.   Alberto Gonzales turned in his resignation to President Bush for something far less scandalous than Fast and Furious.  So why does the White House continue to back Holder?  Probably because they really need him to oversee the 2012 elections.  How else are they going to get away with voter fraud (think Black Panther voter intimidation)? Voter fraud may be the only way that Barack Obama will remain in the White House.  They know they have a very dear friend and partner in crime in Holder….one who can mysteriously make voter fraud complaints disappear (even with video tape evidence)….one who can mysteriously make military absentee ballots disappear.   I have always thought that Holder is just holding his breath and stonewalling the investigation to get through the 2012 elections where he is praying for a congressional democratic takeover.   Then he can throw the Fast and Furious  investigation out the window because he will be able to control what gets investigated and what doesn’t.  Hey…who knows…they may even be able to continue with Fast and Furious and get the gun control legislation that they want.   The sky would be the limit… which scares the hell out of me.

This is all just my crazy theory.

What do you all think?

Many “Occupy Wall Street” protesters aren’t really protesting.

Posted at October 5, 2011 by Bridget // Alinsky Methods, Climate of Hate, Hillbuzz, Political Figures, Political Figures - The Left, The Left

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3Y9CARUwio&feature=player_embedded#!

The guy in this video calls himself “The Lotion Man” (yuck).  I haven’t been paying much attention to this whole “occupy Wall Street” protest that’s happening because I think it’s a planned diversion to what’s really going on in Washington…mainly…Fast and Furious, Solyndra, Lightsquared and the Chicago style thuggery that’s occupying our White House.  If the Obama administration can divert the nations attention away from the shenanigans going on in Washington, then we will move on to other things.  Historically, the American people do suffer from attention deficit disorder but there seems to be a never ending stream of evidence of corruption.  It’s like Christmas morning every day…something bright and shiny in every new document that Rep. Issa discovers.

While watching the above video I realized something. Most of these protesters have no clue what Wall Street is all about.  I bet most are just there because it’s their day off and they have nothing else to do.

Here’s a likely conversation between 2 of them….

One of them probably said to another “Hey, what are you doing today?”

 The other said “Nothing much.”

“Let’s go down to Wall Street and hang out and see if we can get on TV.”

“Oh, cool!”

“We’ll need to make a protest sign so we’ll get noticed.  What are they protesting?”

”I have no idea but we can go on Youtube and find out.”

”Good idea.  This will be fun.”

This “lotion man” isn’t really protesting anything…or at least he really isn’t protesting Wall Street.  He’s just there to get his 15 minutes of fame and to plug his YouTube channel (The Lotion Man….please don’t give him any traffic…he gives me the creeps). I wonder if he was paid to be there?  I wonder how many of these people are getting paid to be there? I bet the poor gentleman who he’s verbally attacking just happened into this guys freakshow.  There are probably only a hand full of “protesters” that are actually protesting Wall Street…the rest are just there because they want to be on camera.

This creep in the video made one statement about half way through the clip that caught my attention…

” I got off drugs.”

I think this just about sums up most of the “protesters”.

Addicts.

Fast and Furious: Holder’s house of cards is starting to lean.

Posted at October 4, 2011 by Bridget // Hillbuzz, Political Figures, Political Figures - The Left, The Left

Mr. Fast and Furious

Reports are out this afternoon (via Hotair)  that the House GOP are calling for a special prosecution to further investigate just how much AG Eric Holder knew about the Fast and Furious operation.  House Judiciary Chair Lamar Smith (R-Tx) has sent a letter to Obama (today) asking for a special prosecutor to investigate Holder’s May testimony in front of the Judiciary Committee and whether or not he committed perjury.  During his testimony, Holder claimed that he had never heard of Fast and Furious until around April of this year but new evidence has surfaced (in the form of memos… dated July of 2010) that shows that Holder was notified of 1,500 guns that were supplied to Mexican drug cartel members.  There is also evidence that Holder was given weekly briefings (for over a year) on the program from the National Drug Intelligence Center.

Oh wow!  We’ve been waiting for this.

What will Obama do?  Will he grant the request for a special prosecution?  This could lead to bigger and badder things for his administration because who knows what kind of other incriminating evidence this special prosecutor will find.  Fast and Furious may lead all the way up to the Oval Office.

Can Obama get around this somehow?

Plenty more of this to come….

Obama’s biggest base of support comes from the Muslim community.

Posted at October 2, 2011 by Bridget // Hillbuzz, Identity Politics, Political Figures, Political Figures - The Left, The Left, Unveiling Islam

Obama's very own fan club

Obama has lost support from many of the people that helped elect him in 2008.   When he took office in January of 2009, he had a 92% approval rating among blacks, 75% among Hispanics and a 58% among whites (according to Gallup).  Since then, his rating has steadily declined thanks to an abysmal economy and sky-high unemployment rate…especially among the black community.  He’s been a big disappointment among Latinos because he hasn’t shoved immigration reform down America’s throat (yet) and many of the young white ideologues who voted for him in ’08 have moved on to other things…mainly trying to find employment in this horrible Obama economy.

There is one group that is still very much in love with the chosen One.  Muslims. Pew Research Center did a survey last month that showed that 76% of Muslim-Americans approve of Obama (only 15% approved of President Bush).  Why the love affair?  According to the survey, many Muslims see Obama as one of their own…1 in 10 believe that he’s a Muslim while 1/3 say they don’t know or they refused to answer. He’s also the president of BIG government which is just what the Muslim community is all about.  In fact, they would like to see Obama push for an even BIGGER government.  They are big fans of entitlement programs and have very little interest in such things as capitalism or freedom.  I’m sure that throwing Israel under the bus repeatedly has helped boost his standing among Muslims as well.

So…Obama may very well continue to make history…

The first black President….the first Muslim President and…

The worst President in American history.
