The Chick-fil-A haters
On any given day (except Sunday), the drive through line at a Chick-fil-A restaurant may be a mile long….at least it always seems to be in Aiken or North Augusta or Columbia ,South Carolina. I don’t mind waiting though because there’s nothing like a Chick-fil-A sandwich. Anyone who says that they hate Chick-fil-A has obviously not had one of their sandwiches, but there are those who truly do hate the restaurant chain and it’s not because of their food. Those haters are the liberals who are protesting the fact that Chick-fil-A’s founder, 93 year old Truett Cathy, is a gracious, generous, Christian southern gentleman with good old fashioned values. For instance, you will never find a Chick-fil-A open on a Sunday. His employees are carefully screened to make sure they are just the kind of person Mr. Cathy wants working for him (cheerful, friendly and courteous). Chick-fil-A always has the cream of the crop of employees in the fast food business. Mr. Cathy gives millions and millions of dollars to an employee college scholarship fund…his employees love him. He’s been honored by the Children’s Hunger Fund, and won the Horatio Alger award and the William E. Simon Prize for Philanthropic Leadership, for his charity.
Mr. Cathy also gives money to such college groups as the Campus Crusade for Christ and nothing gets a liberals panties in a wad faster than to say the “C” word….as in Christ. They are claiming that Mr. Cathy and the entire Chick-fil-A chain are anti-gay…simply because the founder is a Christian. When a Chick-fil-A opened in Chicago last year, protesters from the organization getequal.org began a campaign to “stop the hate” and distributed fliers that called the restaurant “Bigot-fil-A”.
This is hypocrisy…pure and simple. They are protesting against Mr. Cathy just because he is a Christian….not because he said or did anything against the gay community( because he has never said anything anti-gay). Mr. Cathy is a kind and loving man who welcomes anyone into his restaurants and he is very loved and respected…especially in the South. Why is it that if you are a Christian then you are automatically labelled as anti-gay? If you are a conservative, then you are anti-black, anti-Latino, anti-gay etc.
Are the American people going to see through all the smoke and mirrors of the left’s identity politics? Hopefully.
In the meantime…the liberals can keep on protesting Chick-fil-A because that means there’s less people in line at the drive-through at noon.

Did you watch 60 Minutes this past Sunday? Lesley Stahl did a segment on overseas tax havens. I thought she did a pretty fair job of reporting but I don’t think she intended it to come off the way it did. I’m sure CBS was trying to vilify the big evil American corporations (you know….the ones who own all those corporate jets that Obama complains about). They want us to be outraged that these companies are cheating our government but instead, they illustrated the insanity of our corporate tax law. Who can blame these companies for wanting to escape being pick-pocketed by our government? We all get robbed every April 15th and we’d try to avoid it if we could.
We have the 2nd highest corporate tax rate in the world (just behind Japan). Why would any company want to do business here? Why is it so hard for our government to see that if they lowered the corporate tax rate then these companies would come back to the US…….and bingo…..job creation. Instead, Obama is constantly saying “big corporations need to pay their fair share.” We need to allow these companies to transfer their billions back to the US at a one-time low rate (say 5%) so they could then move the companies back here.
Imagine how Obama’s base would howl if he proposed this? They just don’t get it. They just don’t get that these big companies employ thousands and thousands of people…and right now, these people aren’t American citizens….they are the citizens of countries like Switzerland and Ireland. We need to bring these companies back here so Americans can have these jobs.

Obama’s Magical Misery Tour: Throwing America Under The Bus
Maybe it was Sarah Palin’s first One Nation Bus Tour back in May, or her bus tour stop at the Iowa State Fair on Saturday (same day as the Iowa Straw Poll). More likely, it was the media frenzy accompanying Sarah’s every move and hanging on her every word during these family outings.
For whatever reason, Teh Messiah, Barack Hussein Obama, who is a Marxist spendthrift but totally not a Muslim, decided to get out of the swamp that is D.C. in August (and away from his newly announced historically low 39% approval rating).
And he’s doing it in a style befitting someone who is “kind of like a god.” In two spankin’ new “totally not campaign buses” costing the American taxpayer $1.1 million.
Not a campaign trip? Really? Even CBS News admits it.
The U.S. Secret Service has two new buses in its fleet for President Obama to use on his 3-day Midwest bus trip starting today…the buses cost the service $1.1-million. [...]
Mr. Obama today begins a 3-day bus swing through Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois. He has four town hall meetings planned and a forum on rural economic issues.
Although the bus trip has the feel of a campaign swing, the White House is billing the 3-day tour as “official.” That means taxpayers pick up all of the costs of the trip.
When Mr. Obama ventures out on political trips, his campaign or the Democratic National Committee typically pay a small portion of the cost of presidential travel, as required by the Federal Election Commission.
No one throws people under the bus better than Barack Hussein Obama, as evidenced in one of my favorite videos from black conservative commentator AlfonZo Rachel, circa 2009:

Probably not the best time for a pricey vacation.

This probably isn’t the best time for Obama to take an expensive vacation in a very wealthy area like Martha’s Vineyard. After all….the European leaders and their legislatures have all cut their vacations short so they could deal with their economic disasters….and riots. Obama is thinking that the BIG showdown in Congress is over and the debt ceiling was raised and the dust has all settled over Washington so there’s nothing more for him to do. Why not hit the links and the beach? There’s nothing more America needs from him right now that can’t wait for a week or so.
Well…he’s right about that. We don’t need him to do anything more. He’s done enough damage to this country already. He should stay on a permanent vacation. I can’t imagine that he’s going to be enjoying himself too much after all the blows his presidency has taken lately. The one that must really irk him is Friday’s decision by the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. The U.S. Appeals Court for the 11th Circuit, based in Atlanta, ruled 2 to 1 that Congress exceeded its authority by requiring Americans to buy coverage. It’s now expected to head to the Supreme Court for their decision but Obama must be bummed about Friday’s decision. He must also be a little upset that the people of Wisconsin have chosen to keep their GOP controlled senate….a clear slap in the face to the Unions. Maybe this luxurious vacation on posh Martha’s Vineyard is an “in your face” move that says ” I’m the great Obama and I’ll do whatever I want to do. I deserve it.”
I’m not saying that Obama and his family don’t deserve a vacation but they should probably be doing something a little less grand (maybe a few days at Camp David?). Millions of Americans are out of work….the economy is in the gutter….soldiers are dying in Afghanistan and we are beginning to see race riots breaking out all over America (but you won’t see it in the LSM).
So, perhaps a beach vacation is just what Obama needs.
He can now officially bury his head in the sand for a week or so.
(Here’s a little trivia….Did you know that Michelle Obama spent over 42 days on vacation this past year? That equates to once every nine days.)
Research Needed: Can you help identify people, groups, or other entities who have been attacked by gay groups in Illinois…especially by Equality Illinois?
We need some help with research that will be used to expose the hypocrisy rife in the gay community, particularly the one here in Boystown, Chicago.
The Left uses and exploits gays in much the same way the Left uses and exploits blacks. Whenever Democrats need to slander and otherwise malign Republicans, they turn to gays to call religiously affiliated Republicans bigots and accuse them of all manner of discrimination…much like Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Henry Gates, or Barack Obama taking to the TV to rile black people up by claiming some person, company, or even cat or dog is RAAACIST. It’s oft-staged and predictable theater the media loves, so this has obviously been going on for decades now.
The thing is, no matter how much the gay community claims to be victimized by religious people — or by Republicans, whenever it’s close to an election year and Democrats need to damage the opposition by falsely claiming they are bigots — it’s actually gays who invest more time and effort into attacking people who have religious beliefs…most especially Christians.
Do gay activist groups like Equality Illinois condemn discrimination when it’s gays that are doing the discriminating?
Please checkout Equality Illinois’ website, in particular the “Our Mission” section where Equality Illinois condemns discrimination supposedly against everyone in the state of Illinois.
In the past, Equality Illinois has energetically participated in and supported various efforts here in Boystown to attack Republican political figures and Christian family groups as bigots — alleging these people discriminate against gays in the state of Illinois.
Bill Brady, 2010 Republican candidate for Governor, was attacked in this way, with no proof ever offered that he’s a bigot, as Equality Illinois and other gay attackers alleged. Of course as soon as the election was over and Pat Quinn (Democrat) was elected, the crusade against Brady ended. If this man was really a dangerous bigot on the loose in the state, it’s ponderous that Equality Illinois decided to never say another word about the man or his role in Illinois politics.
