A Personal Anecdote on How Easy it Is To Vote As Dead Person

Posted at February 17, 2012 by Kevin DuJan // Alinsky Methods, The Left

Yesterday, I had lunch with a group of Tea Partiers out in Palatine, Illinois while continuing research into two important projects dear to me (stopping the Marxist indoctrination in Chicago Public Schools and preventing voter fraud).  I was impressed by how passionate this group of people was, and how invested they are in doing something about ballot tampering, malfeasance with electronic voting machines, and other avenues of voter fraud here in Illinois.

During lunch, the topic of the dead voting in states like Illinois came up — and I suggested that everyone start seeing themselves as vote defenders and slayers of zombie voters.  Wouldn’t it be great if the next time you’re at some event, and someone asks you, “What do you do?” you answered with “I stop the dead from voting”.  Then, instead of having a conversation with a stranger about people you might know in common in the accounting or lion taming fields (depending on what you “do” as a day job), you could talk about stopping the dead from voting in American elections.

Thinking about all this, I realized that many years ago, in the 1992 elections (before I was old enough to vote), I was offered the opportunity to illegally vote in Cleveland, Ohio but turned it down because I knew it was wrong.

This happened at the polling place for my neighborhood, when my mother and grandmother went to vote and I came with them, but stood to the side.  While they were behind the curtains in the little booths set up in the grade school auditorium, the woman working the table (in this very heavily Democrat district) motioned for me to come over and asked me if my name was “Joseph”.  I told her it wasn’t, and that Joseph was my grandfather — who had been dead for many years.

Since Joseph was still on the voting rolls, the woman said “It’s a shame that vote’s just going to waste…why don’t you go vote for Clinton too, like your mom and grandma” and she encouraged me to sign the book as my grandfather and vote for him as if he was still alive.

I wanted to vote for Clinton — and would have if I had been old enough — but I didn’t want to impersonate my grandfather and sign the voting book in his name and take a ballot.

However, I was encouraged to do just that and could have easily gotten away with it.

This anecdote is a unique situation since I just happened to be there, no one was watching this woman (who clearly wanted Clinton to win Ohio and was doing everything she could in the race to make sure as many Democrats as possible voted…even the ones who were dead), and there were three people registered with our same last name and only two of them showed up to vote that day.

I can’t tell you how often something like this happens — but I have to wonder if this is still going on in Ohio, since there doesn’t seem to be any more barriers to such voter fraud today than there were back when I was in high school.

Have you ever had an experience like this, where someone offered you a chance to vote for a dead person?

KOMENIZE: The Tolerant Left Invents New Word to Celebrate Its Perceived Victory for Abortion

Posted at February 4, 2012 by Kevin DuJan // Alinsky Methods, Featured Content, The Left

[ Click above to embiggen: The Tolerant Left invents new word: to komenize ]

Today I spotted the first usage of the word “komenize” — which the Tolerant Left has coined to describe targeting a charitable organization that does something they disagree with in an orchestrated and sustained effort to annihilate its fundraising efforts.

It’s debatable whether this is what’s really happening at the Susan G. Komen Foundation right now, but it’s a great example of how effectively the Tolerant Left commandeers language and how quickly it manipulates zeitgeist and culture for its own aims.

Conservatives are incredibly foolish to cede ground to Leftists on anything — but that’s exactly what conservative writers and pundits do every time they use the word “liberal” to describe a “Leftist”. That’s like calling a cockroach a “hug-a-bug” or saying “undocumented worker” instead of the more accurate term “illegal alien” (or, even better, the portmanteau of “crimmigrant”).  There needs to a new word invented for how monstrously stupid it is to ever agree to the Tolerant Left’s favored verbiage and say “Pro-Choice” instead of what it really is — Pro-Abortion — when Leftists go out of their way to say “Anti-Choice” instead of “Pro-Life”.

If you don’t pay attention to this deliberate wordsmithing, please start.  And never say “liberal” or “Pro-Choice” ever again in relation to politics.

The Tolerant Left is masterful at shaping language, which in turn shapes thought, which is a means to nudge the ball a little further down the field in the culture wars.

Conservatives just never seem to learn, and forever (and very stupidly) keep parroting what they hear the fools on television or the radio say — which almost always plays right into the Tolerant Left’s greater strategy.

Today, Lefties are angry at Google for being part of a Tea Party event that’s being planned somewhere or another…and so the Tolerant Left has activated its networks and has set the Alinsky Death Star to “komenize” Google.  This is technically misusing the newly-minted “komenize” term, since Google’s not a non-profit and does not rely on charitable donations to survive.  A better example would be something like Penn State’s development office that I’d argue self-komenized by being so involved in the child abuse scandal that’s crippled its fundraising and endorsement efforts.

It’s hard to determine what words will catch on and have real staying power.

Here at HB, we coined the term “Cocktail Party” for the GOP establishment back in 2010 — which is something I’m very proud of because it’s a great reflection of the fact that this permanent political class is very much the mirror-nemesis of the Tea Party, and the term also works on the level of conjuring an image of the cocktail parties that members of the Republican establishment forever haunt.

We’ll see if “komenize” has similar legs…but it fills a need for a word like this, because every few months some nonprofit does do something that upsets a group of people…and a boycott of some kind is organized.  But, boycotts are most associated with not buying products from someone, not aggressively intimidating people to stop making contributions for fear they’ll be attacked for supporting that group.

“Komenize” does a good job of capturing that so we might just see it enter the zeitgeist’s collective dictionary any day now.

**********************************************

UPDATE: I wanted to bump this comment left by Neil to the front page because I have never heard this expressed better.  It’s so good I need to turn it into a graphic:

Just when you think the Left couldn’t be more evil . . .

Let’s recap: A organization that kills innocent human beings for a living, along with its radical supporters, were so offended by the elimination of a voluntary contribution by a non-profit dedicated to curing breast cancer that was a whopping 0.07% (that’s zero-point-zero seven percent — less than one tenth of one percent) of their annual budget that they set out to destroy the non-profit, all the while claiming that they weren’t the ones politicizing the issue and that they were being bullied. And the Leftist media supported them all the way, including hiding the Planned Parenthood CEO’s lies about them doing mammograms. Now Komen is distrusted and disliked by both sides.

The only good news is that others will think more carefully before getting involved with Planned Parenthood. Oddly enough, people who kill babies for cash have some unpleasant traits.

Remember: whenever you use the word “Pro-Choice”, you are helping the Tolerant Left’s PR efforts that promote the killing of babies.  Whenever you call Leftists “liberals” you help mask just how evil these people are.  Please stop helping them in this way if you disagree with what they do — and please start emailing any conservative writers you see who use the term “liberal” and draw their attention to what they are really doing every time they use that word.

Have You Seen This? Bill Maher Advocates Socialism By Comparing It to NFL Football

Posted at February 2, 2012 by Kevin DuJan // Alinsky Methods, The Left

Sports analogies are almost always lost on me because I have never been able to sit in front of a screen watching millionaires running around on a field playing children’s games.  In full disclosure, I also can’t make it through two full acts of a Broadway musical either (I like leaving at intermission and seeing the second half another time if I’ve gotten comp tickets). I’m not a big fan of watching people doing things when I can be doing things myself, unless I know the people who are on the stage or field and I am actively cheering my friends on.

But, I posted the above football-related video because I think you really need to start wrapping your head around the reality that the Democrat Party is now full-on Socialist.  Unapologetically so.

This was not the case until 2008 — prior to Barack Obama taking over the party, there indeed were socialist elements in the DNC, but they were always like crazy uncles in the attic banging pots or your least favorite in-laws who come to holiday dinners and ruin good times by talking about how “communism has just never been implemented correctly”.  Ugh.

I was a Democrat until 2008 because the party used to keep the Socialists and outright Marxists in the back room and the Clintons yanked the DNC to the more or less center; it’s no-holds-barred in Democrat ranks right now, as evidenced by how gleefully and openly Democrat Party shill Maher advocates socialism in this video.

I think I need to start repeating this in almost every post I write, but if you are someone who ever uses the word “liberal” to describe these people you really need to start slapping yourself across the face so that you will stop.  These people aren’t “liberals”, they are “Leftists” — STOP using their friendlier-sounding chosen term. Calling a Leftist a “liberal” is like calling a cockroach a “hug-a-bug”; this is a deliberate attempt to make something offensive seem more appealing to people who don’t pay much attention to what’s really going on.  Put another way, I’m sure you don’t use the Leftist approved term “undocumented workers” to describe the people who flagrantly break US immigration laws…because I bet you call them either “illegal aliens” or “crimmigrants”.  If you are someone who won’t say “undocumented worker” then why on Earth are you ceding ground to Democrats by calling them “liberals” the way they want you to?

Every time you say “liberal” to describe these clear and determined Leftists you are inching the ball down the field a nudge to their clear benefit.

MYSTERY: Why Did Gabby Giffords Really Resign Her Seat in Congress?

Posted at January 22, 2012 by Kevin DuJan // Alinsky Methods, The Left

Here’s something mysterious for you to ponder — and please chime in with your own theory below — in the wake of Congersswoman Gabrielle Giffords resigning her seat in Congress:  why did she do it, and why’d she announce it now?

No matter how incapacitated she still is, Giffords could have been a sitting Congresswoman for the rest of her natural life if she’d wanted that — because there is no one in either politics or the elite media who would have dared to raise a word of criticism about her (or question her ability to hold her seat).

I’ll take it a step further and say that Giffords could have been the next Senator from Arizona, and she’d have won the election without having to do much in terms of campaigning — there’s that much goodwill for her from her survival of the January 8th, 2011 assassination attempt made on her life.

Ted Kennedy remained a United States Senator for several years after he was physically unable to do the job. Similarly, Robert Byrd was propped up and wheeled around the Senate for several DECADES after he was able to even form simple sentences in public.  Neither of these two men were forced to resign because of their inability to function any longer.

Giffords seems nowhere near as disabled as Kennedy or Byrd were — so why is she leaving Congress?

The only thing I can think of is that this is coming 100% from Gabby Giffords herself and the Democrat Party has nothing to do with her decision.  I have been repeatedly told that Giffords is “the real deal” in politics and that she went to Washington to actually work hard for her constituents.  Unlike Kennedy or Byrd, she was not there to enjoy the lavish perks of office-holding but was instead a Member of Congress to serve her fellow Arizonans. Unable to properly do so, Giffords is leaving the stage.  It is my most sincere hope this remarkable woman returns to elected office at some point in the future, when she feels she’s ready.

I wonder, too, if Giffords wanted to leave politics for a while so that the Left can’t use her shooting to gin up emotion in the coming elections.

Here in Chicago, I was appalled by something that happened just four days after Giffords was shot in Tucson, Arizona last year:  the gay bar Sidetrack here in Boystown played a 12-minute clip they produced in house that featured a bloody, torture porn video showing Governor Sarah Palin, her husband Todd, and all of her children (including toddler Trig) being assassinated Romanov-style with assault rifles in the woods. Sidetrack’s co-owner, Jose Pepin “Pepe Pep” Pena controlled the VJ booth and made the personal decision to play this bloodbath…on the first Thursday after Giffords was nearly assassinated on that immediate Sunday. After showing this clip, Sidetrack showed a montage of other gruesome deaths in horror movies with an end card asking “Wouldn’t you like to see this happen to Sarah Palin?”. The message was clear: Sidetrack called for violence to be committed against the Palins as retaliation for the assassination attempt on Gabby Giffords. To this day, Sidetrack has never apologized for running this clip or addressed the fact that this bar is the leading driver of anti-Christian, anti-conservative, and anti-Republican hatred in the Chicago “gay community”.

As you well know, Gifford’s shooting was co-opted by the Left in their attempt to make political hay out of what happened to her.  As you’re also aware, the general public has a very short attention span and memory when it comes to current events.  In January of 2012, I bet only 25% of the public actively remembers that Giffords was shot and almost died in January of 2011; an even smaller fraction of people know her shooter was a politically unaffiliated man with severe mental problems who nursed a personal obsession with Giffords.

The Left frequently exploits the public’s amnesia and disinterest in facts and crafts the narrative it needs to push whatever’s on the Left’s agenda today.

I’m told that Sidetrack keeps playing those torture porn videos maligning the Palins in a way that encourages people to think that conservative politics had something to do with Giffords’ shooting.  The Left saturates the public with images like this that rewrite history and stoke emotions.

Since “Hope & Change” won’t work again in 2012, Barack Obama’s relying on a strategy of “Occupy & Persecute” and the Left will rev Leftists up to answer that call with irrational demonstrations of emotion in the coming elections — since there’s no rational, logical, argument possible for awarding Obama a second term.

I honestly believe Gabby Giffords doesn’t want to be a part of this. So, she’s leaving office now and forcing a special election so that the Democrat Party can have an opportunity to field a candidate for her seat — and no one can say she left anyone in the lurch.

It really appears she didn’t want to give anyone the ability to use her as a pawn in the “Occupy & Persecute” Obama 2012 re-election strategy.

What’s your take on her resignation?

“Racism” Officially Jumps Shark Courtesy of Eric Holder

Posted at December 19, 2011 by Kathleen Gee // Alinsky Methods, The Left

Yeah, that’s right, Eric.

You’re being persecuted because you’re black, not because you’re corrupt, unethical, and criminally negligent, and oversaw a program that killed 300 Mexicans and Border Patrol agent Brian Terry, and then lied to Congress about it.

Justice Dept silent as Holder charges critics with racism

Attorney General Eric Holder accused his growing chorus of critics of racist motivations in a Sunday interview published in the New York Times. When reached by The Daily Caller Monday morning, the Department of Justice provided no evidence to support the attorney general’s claims.

Holder said some unspecified faction — what he refers to as the “more extreme segment” — is driven to criticize both him and President Barack Obama due to the color of their skin. Holder did not appear to elaborate on who he considered to make up the “more extreme segment.”

“This is a way to get at the president because of the way I can be identified with him,” Holder said, according to the Times. “Both due to the nature of our relationship and, you know, the fact that we’re both African-American.”

[...]

Holder’s accusations come as resignation calls mount from a growing list of 60 congressmen, two senators, every major Republican presidential candidate and two sitting governors, spurred on by the congressional investigation into Operation Fast and Furious.

[...]

Holder has said he was unaware of the operation, despite having been sent several personal memos from his top deputies and assistants. The memos contained intimate details of how Operation Fast and Furious worked. “This investigation [Fast and Furious, which is named earlier in the memo] — initiated in September 2009 in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Phoenix Police Department — involves a Phoenix-based firearms trafficking ring headed by Manuel Celis-Acosta,” one such memo that Holder was provided reads. “Celis-Acosta and straw purchasers are responsible for the purchase of 1,500 firearms that were then supplied to Mexican drug-trafficking cartels. They also have direct ties to the Sinaloa Cartel, which is suspected of providing $1 million for the purchase of firearms in the greater Phoenix area.”

Call Scholastic and Ask for An “Editorial” to Be Noted That Complains About Occupy Wall Street Article in December Scholastic News

Posted at December 9, 2011 by Kevin DuJan // Alinsky Methods, The Left

Michelle Malkin busted Scholastic for distributing Leftist propaganda to school children in the latest issue of Scholastic News, which went home with grade schoolers this week.

The article in question is called “What is Occupy Wall Street?”; it appeared in the December issue of Scholastic News in the section called “New Shorts”. Please read Malkin’s take on this here, as she does an excellent job of noting the whitewash Scholastic chose to give the Occupoopers (failing to report on the rapes, drug use, vandalism, deaths, and other crimes committed in the Occupooper camps).

Malkin has asked readers to call Scholastic and complain about this Leftist indoctrination in the classroom (since Scholastic has chosen to heap praise on the Occupoopers, while repeatedly showing scorn for Tea Party Americans):  the email and number she gave for Scholastic is: bookclubs@scholastic.com or toll-free at 1-800-SCHOLASTIC (800-724-6527). They are available Monday – Friday: 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Central Time, and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m

However, I called Scholastic and went through their Customer Service and found a better way to voice complaint about this indoctrination in Scholastic News.

What you really need to do is to ask to speak to a Customer Service Supervisor and have that person write an internal “Editorial” to Scholastic management in their customer complaint computer system.

I spoke with Supervisor Nicole Whittington on the phone, who was very courteous and professional to deal with — her direct line is 417-455-8421.  She has the ability to create an “Editorial” in the Scholastic system that would register your complaint about this matter.

The more people who call, the more “Editorials” will be written so that Scholastic executives get an idea of how truly offensive this Occupooper propaganda truly is.

Full disclosure:  I’m in my mid-30s and, until today, had incredibly fond memories of Scholastic.  When I was in grade school, the nuns used to hand out the Scholastic Book Club catalogs every so often; I believe these came out four times a year.  I always saved up my Christmas, birthday, or “just because” money so that when the catalogs came out I’d be able to pick out some books (or fun things like stickers and posters) and order them from the Book Club.  It would be a few weeks before the loot arrived at school, where the nuns would distribute the goodies; this was exciting because I never knew what day the things would arrive, and it was such a fun surprise when the stuff would get there.

I also remember the Scholastic News reading materials that we’d get every month or so; at my school, we used these in reading class and always had to write essays answering questions about these “News” items.  I never remember any sort of Leftist indoctrination back then. Typically, the “News” items were innocuous and nonpolitical in nature. A lot of them were about animals, people winning marathon races, a tall building being completed, etc.

I am horrified that Scholastic is essentially giving William Ayers run of classrooms coast to coast by turning Scholastic News into Occupooper propaganda.

If you are a parent, or know of any parents you can inform about all this, I highly encourage you to stop making any purchases from the Scholastic Book Club.

Call the principal and teachers of your children’s school and tell them you do not want Scholastic News or other free Scholastic-provided material distributed in your child’s schools.

Call Nicole Whittington at Scholastic Customer Support and ask her to complete an “Editorial” noting your outrage over this Occupooper propaganda:  417-455-8421
