We have yet another situation where the current Attorney General, Eric Holder, has abused the Justice Department to serve the political ends of the Democrat Party.
In this instance, the Justice Department is raiding Gibson Guitars because the company is not a large contributor to the DNC.
C.F. Martin & Company, a competitor of Gibson, is a large contributor to the DNC. That protection money has kept the Holder Justice Department from harassing them, even though they use the same rare woods that Gibson uses.
The difference? Gibson doesn’t pay large contribution amounts to the DNC for “protection” from raids.
We warned America back in 2008 when this site first started that if Chicago went to Washington and took up residence there at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue that the kinds of extortion schemes common here in Chicago would go national.
And that’s exactly what’s happened.

Illinois is going to DOUBLE it’s road tolls statewide.
Way to hamper the economy even further.
Instead of raising fees, why not cut the pork barrel, union-rewarding projects that are not needed.
Even better: how about eliminating some of the “supervisors” on road crews?
Have you observed this in your state? It’s endemic to Illinois: one man, usually very young, works on a road, using a machine of some kind. Another man stands, watching him. A third man watches the second man. From inside a truck parked adjacent to all of this, an older man watches the first three. Another guy stands outside the truck, leaning against it. Sometimes, there’s another guy in the bed of the truck, weighing it down so it does not float away. Unless, of course, that guy is on break.
How much money is wasted a year through union jobs like this, or on roads that are purposefully built to fall apart in three or five years so the unions can rebuild them again?
Instead of raising tolls, why not trim some fat?
I know…I know…it’s Illinois, so that concept is ridiculous.
So better question: why does the public at large stand for this?

Prepare yourselves for the shocking news you are about to hear, but the Illinois Policy Institute has concluded that…brace yourselves…high taxes equal massive job losses.
In other news, going out into the rain without an umbrella equals getting wet…eating the menus Michelle Obama prepares for the White House equals getting fat…and saying one thing but doing another makes you a hypocrite (see: Ben Cohen, and come to think of it, Michelle Obama).
The graph above really shows it all: when Illinois decided to ramp up its taxes yet again, employers started shedding jobs to compensate.
Democrats have bankrupted the “blue states” by ratcheting up taxes every year, to keep paying for more and more entitlement programs and bribes to unions, so these groups can continue to keep the Democrats in power.
The end result is that not only are state treasuries drained dry, but the businesses that existed in the state are forced out because of the high taxes that prohibit them from staying in business.
When Democrats destroy one state, like California, and things start to fall apart there, the most Leftist of their elite emigrate to neighboring states (like Colorado, Nevada, or Texas) and start trying to raise the taxes and increase entitlement programs there.
It’s a cycle that needs to be stopped, because it sure can’t carry on forever if we want to have a country left.

Increasingly, people here in Chicago believe Barack Obama will screw over the Democrat Party in the 2012 election and unceremoniously decide he won’t seek re-election if he accepts the fact he will not win the race.
Obama is as vain as a peacock and characteristically disloyal to anyone but himself. Throughout the entirety of his cloaked in secrets life, he has never put the needs of anyone before himself, what he wants, or what could best aggrandize him. He wanted to be president not to serve the country, but to fly around on Air Force One, burn through taxpayer money in extreme luxury, and play as much golf on vacation as possible.
With a Fremd like this, America needs no enemies

Radio host Megan Fox has been featuring segments on her show investigating the Marxist indoctrination being slipped into lessons at William Fremd High School in Palatine, Illinois.
Social Studies Survey teacher Jason Spoor has proudly featured Karl Marx and Che Guevara as “history heroes” on the “About Me” page that Fremd provides for him on the school’s official website.
Marx and Guevara are sort of school mascots at Fremd, with absolutely nothing in Spoor’s teaching materials indicating in any way that these two were responsible for the deaths of untold millions of innocents (one through his delusional writings and the other for putting those writings into brutal practice).
In light of the riots that devastated London, where it seems a generation of British children was indoctrinated by the Left to demand everything from everyone never expecting to do their part for society, it’s important for you to start asking what, exactly, public schools in America are teaching YOUR children, grandchildren, and neighbors.
William Fremd is just one high school, in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Apparently, it’s not even the most Marxist public school out there, but it’s one that’s come on our radar because of The Megan Fox Show.
Today, I’d love to ask your opinion on part of Jason Spoor’s economics lesson…where he teaches his students the following definition of economics:

a social science concerned chiefly with description and analysis of the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services
There is nothing in there, anywhere, about economists specifically working to end hunger or crime, or for economists to “understand if a tax cut will really help society and how much?”.
I really wonder, though, whether this stort of garbage is being taught in London, too, where the “youth” that riot do so because they were taught to believe that “economists” were working hard to end their hunger, poverty, and the rest…but the “youth” didn’t believe all of these miracles were coming quickly enough, so they marched out into the streets to take whatever they felt owed to them, Marx and Guevara-style.
Just how much of this kind of thinking is being indoctrinated into the minds of high schoolers in the United States in places like William Fremd High School by teachers like Jason Spoor?
Those of us without children in public school might hesitate to get involved in school board elections, and might never think to investigate what the public schools are teaching, but YOUR tax dollars are funding the education of “youth” who reside in YOUR communities…and take the lessons they learn in classrooms like Spoor’s and apply them to the real world when they graduate.
The London riots should be a wakeup call for all of us.
Those “youth” had to get their ideas somewhere…and it sure looks like that somewhere was the classroom.

Five-time Democrat candidate for statewide office in Kansas, Fred Phelps, owner of the Westboro Hate Circus
Surprisingly enough, something good happened in Illinois yesterday, when Governor Pat Quinn signed a new bill that strengthened the existing “Let Them Rest in Peace” law in our state.
It is now illegal to disrupt a veteran’s funeral in Illinois; any protests aimed at the deceased must happen either 30 minutes before or 30 minutes after the funeral, and protestors cannot come within 300 feet of the funeral service.
Governor Quinn boldy defied the Democrat Party in protecting veterans’ families like this, since “Let Them Rest in Peace” laws were prompted originally by the actions of Democrat activist Fred Phelps and his Westboro Hate Circus.
Phelps is a five-time Democrat candidate for office in Kansas, where he repeatedly ran for both Governor and Senator as a Democrat. Phelps’ family has been longtime supporters of Al Gore as well.
It’s horrible that Phelps’ actions over the last decade or so — in disrupting funerals and attacking mourners — have gotten to the point where legislation is needed to specifically address his Westboro Hate Circus like this, but I’m glad to see Illinois removing Phelps’ ability to take his show on the road here.

Have you ever found an easy to use list of states where Phelps and others like him are prohibited by law from disrupting funerals?
If there isn’t protection for mourners where you come from, this could be a good cause for you to get involved in to ensure police have the ability to protect these families.
Mobs of black youth hunt white people in Wisconsin — the same thing’s been happening here in Boystown for a few years now
Drudge Report has quite a few stories up today, about mobs of black youth deliberately hunting white people in Wisconsin. The black youth are clearly racially motivated when committing these crimes. They are deliberately seeking out white people to beat, rob, and come close to killing.
The same thing has been happening here in Boystown for four years now…ever since The Center on Halsted opened on the strip of bars, restaurants, and shops that make up Boystown’s main drag. “The Center”, as it’s known in the community, was a hair-brained idea conceived by a group of well-intentioned fools who actually live nowhere near the neighborhood. But, they thought they should build a “community center” in the middle of Boystown, and then direct that Center to perform “outreach programs” to “disadvantaged youth” in the Southside of Chicago (quite a hike from Boystown, actually…about 40 minutes spent on the train) to bring those “youth” up to Boystown to hang out in the Center.
