Pray Without Ceasing

Posted at February 20, 2012 by Esther4HB // Ground Reports, Hillbuzz, Pacific West

If ever our country has needed its people to be praying, and praying hard, now is definitely one of those times! Please join us in coming before the Throne in support of one another.

Prayer Updates:

Baby Astor – Praise God! Astor is now in the process of getting off the morphine she was on while she had those tubes in her from being sedated for her first month of life.  She is having troubles adjusting, and has to be taught the eating instincts she lost while on the tubes.  A speech therapist has to work with her now to reteach her these eating instincts.  Thankfully Astor is 100% regarding her survival. It’s now a matter of recovering from birth trauma. Please remember her family as they deal with the drama and trauma of insurance and seek appropriate care for Astor as she recovers.

Funding for HillBuzz – need at least 50 subscribers more to break even. Here is where I, Esther, make a plea for more of us to step up to the plate. We need faith, for sure, but we also need to be doing the work required. I am beseeching any of you readers who possibly can swing it to either subscribe or make a one time donation. Let’s support Kevin and the Herculean effort that is put into bringing HillBuzz to us on a daily basis. We are all truly blessed!

Please pray for:

* Lucianne Goldberg and her family on the loss of her son Joshua, who died in a fall around this time last year. This is a good reminder to be mindful of anniversaries of losses our loved ones have experienced as well.

* Caro – Husband has been diagnosed with cancer. Had to tell my children (on Feb. 12).

* The family, friends and admirers of Whitney Houston as they grieve her passing. Pray that God continues to use this tragic loss for good as was shown during her funeral service. Let’s also use this as a lesson for each of us to redeem the time, and be doing our best to fulfill our individual purposes in this life in service to others.

*Kevin – I would like to ask you to please pray for my good friend’s Aunt Margie — who is seriously ill and in a lot of pain.

* Vivian – I would like to pray to Jesus, my Lord and Savior, and thank Him for his sacrifice . I would ask Him to keep a hand on Barack Obama and instill within him wisdom and discernment.

* HopeandChange – Pray for our persecuted Christian brothers and sisters around the world.

* tyyyre – Please pray for my sister J. and husband both very ill, son having mental/drug problems and now in jail. Thank you.

* JackDonlan – I know some of you Hillbuzz guys are Catholic. The best prayer is the Holy Rosary, I pray it every day, almost every day.

* The Tamminator – Please pray for the surviving Fogel family members. http://hillbuzz.org/open-thread-whats-on-your-mind-25864

* CTmom – I would like prayer to know if I am supposed to run for office in my town and if so, what that office should be.

* coregis – January 16 I will have to go to jail for DUI; I am grateful that I have never hurt anyone, but I am sick, sad and lonely. I will have to leave my estranged wife and the kids to fend for their own. Please pray for me to give me strength and for my family.

* Sue – My neighbor and good friend, just lost her Dad and Mom is in poor health. Thanks.

* LaBonBon – I would also like to send out continuing prayers for the unemployed (myself included). Especially the older unemployed (myself included) who are at a further disadvantage.

* LaBonBon – My friend Sue F. just had mouth cancer surgery. The doctors removed five teeth and parts of bone. Her mouth is still too sore to talk. She is a wonderful person/friend. Prayers would be much appreciated.

* That we as a nation once again embrace the values upon which this nation was founded.

* That the election process identifies a candidate who will lead our countrymen back to our noblest selves and effectively address the needs of the nation. Recent weeks have proven that this race is far from over, and God has a way of working things out in a most unexpected manner.

* Protection for innocents along the U.S./Mexican border who are endangered by increasing violence there, and is moving further north. More bodies and body parts have been discovered on both sides of the border. It’s a virtual war zone.

* Protection, continued strength and courage for all patriots who are tirelessly working for the good of our country.

If you have requested prayer, we’d love to hear how God has been answering those prayers.

Have a prayer request? Post in the comments section.  If you have left a prayer request recently and don’t see it listed above, please send it again. There were a couple of little hiccups in the last comment section of this topic, and I think we lost of couple. Sorry about that!

God bless!

It has been said that the army of God moves forward on its knees. Thank you for your continued prayers for those who have requested them. Let’s keep it going!

Answered prayer:

Although it was not on our list, over the weekend many, many people have been praying for Bella Santorum, daughter of Rick and Karen Santorum. Please keep Bella and the Santorum family in your thoughts and prayers.

Prayer WORKS

Posted at January 23, 2012 by Esther4HB // Ground Reports, Hillbuzz, Pacific West

Last week we started a segment where interested Buzzers could share prayer requests, pray for others, and share their stories of answered prayer. Here is this week’s update.

Answered prayer:
* BEST NEWS of the week – Baby Astor is home!!! Thank you, Kevin, for sharing this most wonderful development with us. Please continue to keep Astor in your prayers for her to grow stronger. Keep her mom, Darcy, in your thoughts and prayers, too. She is still recovering from an emergency c-section compounded with one of the most stressful months any parent could have.

Please pray for:

* CTmom – I would like prayer to know if I am supposed to run for office in my town and if so, what that office should be.

* MathMom – 50 HillBuzz readers decide to give up one $5 choice each month and direct that $5 to HillBuzz through the Subscription link.

* coregis – January 16th I will have to go to jail for DUI; I am grateful that I have never hurt anyone, but I am sick, sad and lonely. I will have to leave my estranged wife and the kids to fend for their own. Please pray for me to give me strength and for my family.

* Sue – My neighbor and good friend, just lost her Dad and Mom is in poor health. Thanks.

* LaBonBon – Continuing prayers for the unemployed (myself included).

* That the American people wake up to what is happening in our country as it slides precariously toward socialism and (heaven forbid) despotism. That we as a nation once again embrace the values upon which this nation was founded.

* That the election process identifies a candidate who truly has a servant’s heart and has the good of the American people as his/her priority. That this person leads our countrymen back to our noblest selves so that we can address the needs of the nation and heal.

* Protection for innocents along the U.S./Mexican border who are endangered by the increasing violence there, and is moving further north. There have been 4 reported beheadings discovered in various U.S. cities in recent weeks that are attributed to drug cartels.

* Protection, continued strength and courage for Kevin and all other patriots who are tirelessly working for the good of our country.

Have a prayer request? Please share with us. Have a story to share of prayer answered? We’d love to hear about it.

Prayer Changes Things

Posted at January 16, 2012 by Esther4HB // Ground Reports, Hillbuzz, Pacific West

Recently Kevin asked the HillBuzz family for prayers for Baby Astor, Justin’s niece, and her mother, Darcy. Astor was born early in an emergency c-section. She has had some life-threatening issues with her lungs and heart due to her early arrival. I was pleased, but not at all surprised, by the outpouring of love and prayer on Astor’s behalf. I also noticed in the comments section occasional requests for prayers, as well as stories of answered prayers to encourage others.

This got me thinking: what if we were to become more organized in our prayer for our nation, our global community, and one another personally? There is a scripture that says, “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” There seems to be a contingent of prayer warriors in this group who excel in this area. How might God intervene when he hears so many of us beseeching Him earnestly?

Starting this week we will be collecting prayer requests to share with readers. If you post a request in the comments section, the following week we can include it in the post, along with any updates you may wish to share. I truly believe this is one of the most effective action items in which those who choose to do so can participate. After all, we’re pleading our case to the Highest Source available.

Just a few considerations for posting:

* Try to state your requests in a positive manner. For example, rather than asking for intervention to “get so-and-so out of an elected office” perhaps we can ask for the best person to occupy that office.

* If you are requesting prayer on someone else’s behalf, a courtesy call to them might be appropriate. Sometimes we want the help of others, and sometimes we want our trials to remain private. Also, it might be a good idea to keep the identity of others confidential. Identifying an individual’s need without necessarily including their names (unless they ask for it be included) may be all we need.

* Don’t worry about any request being too general, or too trivial. It’s written that the very hairs of our heads are numbered. If God has that kind of detailed knowledge of and interest in us, we can bring anything to Him.

Please keep us updated of any progress when news is available. We love to hear how you and your loved ones are doing. It helps make our prayers more specific, too.

To start out this facet of HB’s action agenda, here are some areas for which we can be praying:

* Baby Astor’s continued positive progress and healing. Support and peace of mind for Darcy and her family during this trying time.

Please add to the list! Here we go . . .

Peek behind the (Laugh)AttackWatch curtain and who do you find?

Posted at September 15, 2011 by Esther4HB // Ground Reports, Hillbuzz, Pacific West

I had a lot of fun yesterday checking in periodically with the train wreck that is the twitter account for AttackWatch. It has been completely co-opted by the right as a tool of derision against Obama and his flunkies, resulting in humor that rivals the best of smart sit-coms like my favorites, “Arrested Development,” or “Modern Family.”

It’s an interesting exercise to venture over to AttackWatch’s website to see just what they have to say. When I visited yesterday I saw three articles on the news feed respectively slamming Glenn Beck, Mitt Romney and Rick Perry. Perusing the articles, I noticed that two of the three sources cited had a fascinating similarity: they can be quickly linked to George Soros vehicles.

RE: Glenn Beck and his “misrepresentation” of Obama’s support for Israel – the source cited is Media Matters!  Media Matters points to interviews with Ehud Barak, President Peres’ comments at a ceremony accepting the U.S. Ambassador’s credentials, a terse statement from Secretary Gates in a sea of testimony from a hearing of the Defense Subcommittee of the House Appropriations Committee, and President Obama’s remarks at an address to AIPAC as proof positive of Obama’s support for Israel. Guess what’s missing? Obama’s statement in May 2011 declaring that Israel should return to indefensible 1967 borders as well as Netanyahu’s public spanking of Obama in a press conference the following day.

And golly gee, didn’t the illustrious Mr. Soros give one million dollars to Media Matters in October 2010? In addition, Media Matters has a very close relationship with the Center for American Progress (another Soros backed organization) and has received further funding from Democracy Alliance (coincidentally also supported in part by George Soros).

RE: Mitt Romney’s “inaccuracy” and irresponsibly blaming Obama for job losses – the source cited is Think Progress! They use Romney’s packet outlining his plans to show how he has falsely accused the One of job losses that should be attributed to Bush. They cite a graph on page 16 of Romney’s packet which shows losses from 2007-2009. However, they dismiss this excerpt from page 15 of the same document: “Job creation and full employment require economic growth. From 1997 to 2000, with GDP growth averaging 4.5 percent annually, the average annual unemployment rate was 4.4 percent. In contrast, from 2009 to 2011, with quarterly GDP growth averaging only 1.2 percent, the average monthly unemployment rate was 9.4 percent. During this period, GDP growth peaked at 3.9 percent for a single quarter before rapidly falling back down to an anemic 0.4 percent and then 1.0 percent in the first and second quarters of 2011, respectively.Such poor growth is particularly striking in the wake of a recession.” How convenient!

BTW, Think Progress is also substantially funded by George Soros.

Like so many other Obama programs, policies, and proposals, one needs only to scratch the surface to find the groundwork has been laid by SorosMonkeys at the bidding of their repulsive Master. AttackWatch is but one of these. And while we can all have a good laugh at what blithering incompetents the Man Who Would be God has enlisted for his evil machinations, let us never forget what his ultimate plans are, and boldly continue to work against them. Let’s make sure we get to have the last laugh!

Ground Report: Sarah Palin in Korea for World Knowledge Forum

Posted at September 14, 2011 by Kevin DuJan // 2012 Presidential Campaign, Ground Reports, Pacific West, Sarah Palin

Dear HillBuzz,

I am currently visiting family in Seoul, South Korea.  While we were out today I saw an ad for the 12th World Knowledge Forum, with Sarah Palin’s picture very prominently displayed near where we were exiting the subway on our way to an attraction.  I took some pictures while we were waiting and did some web based research back at the apartment.  According to the World Knowledge Forum’s website, it is “Asia’s prestigious business forum” and serves “as the knowledge Olympics.”  Based on the schedule, it looks like Governor Palin will be giving an hour long speech on October 11 (look under “Presentations”).  To check out her bio on site, you will need to look under “S” for “Sarah” rather than “P” for Palin (all speakers appear in alphabetical order by their first name).

Hawaii Ground Report: What will Sarah Palin do about debate bias?

Posted at September 8, 2011 by Kevin DuJan // 2012 Presidential Campaign, Ground Reports, Pacific West, Sarah Palin

Dear HillBuzz,

Here in Hawaii, I was wondering this morning what Palin will do about the debates since they are so biased. I figured she’d just throw the bias back in their faces. Soon after this thought I read Breitbart:

http://biggovernment.com/abreitbart/2011/09/08/the-f-troop-how-the-gop-candidates-failed-simply-by-showing-up-at-msnbcpolitico-debate/

I agree with him that by participating, the GOP gives the media respect they do not deserve. Palin understands also that bringing down the Democrat Media Complex is as important as destroying the Cocktail Party GOP.

We know it’ll be an unconventional campaign, so maybe no debates will be part of it. Of course, she WILL debate Barry. Somebody could make a lot of money charging admission to those. I’m afraid the West/Biden debate will have to follow the mercy rule!

What do people think?
