Defend the Vote is an organization here in Illinois founded to empower citizens to protect the integrity of elections.
Shockingly, many Americans believe “somebody” is making sure the Left doesn’t tamper with elections results, using Big Labor, the Black Panthers, or other George Soros-funded goon squads to commit massive voter fraud. The unions in particular are engaged heavily in election tampering, since the unions need to elect Democrats to office so Democrats can ensure the unions bleed taxpayers for as much as possible in various union contracts.
Illinois is arguably the most corrupt state in the union when it comes to elections.
If Defend the Vote can audit the election process here in the belly of the curropt-o-beast, then perhaps we can be a test case for the rest of the nation to follow to TAKE BACK OUR ELECTIONS from the Leftist crooks who have gamed the system.

By now you’ve probably guessed that I’m a libertarian, and I have a “policy crush” on Ron Paul. I love, love, love him. Unfortunately, he’s a better candidate on paper– in the many, many books he’s written on the economy, foreign policy and sound money–than he is in the age of TV and the 24-hour news cycle. He’s whip smart, and has enormous integrity. But slick, he is not.
So while Ron Paul will always be my first choice in terms of policy, when it comes to charisma and crowd appeal (and the ability to make Lefty heads explode), I’m a huge Sarah Palin fan. And an even bigger Allen West fan.

I honestly think we’re looking at an unbeatable GOP ticket here. And though I don’t agree with Sarah Palin 100% on the issues, I would nonetheless sleep soundly at night during the Sarah Palin presidency, knowing that the person in the Oval Office truly and deeply loves America, always has, and always will.

Can you imagine the contortions the Left and Lamestream Media (redundant) will have to go through to criticize this pair–the first woman presidential nominee and the first black vice-president nominee of a major party?

Today, Sarah Palin announced a bus tour called The One Nation Tour, organized as a “soft launch” to her Presidential campaign that will allow her to test fundraising, messaging and audience response to her candidacy without the expense or paperwork of forming an exploratory committee or subjecting her prematurely to onerous McCain-Feingold (irony alert) campaign financing and reporting laws “to educate and energize Americans about our nation’s founding principles, in order to promote the Fundamental Restoration of America.”
That sound you just heard was Chris Matthew’s head exploding.
The second sound was a semi-conscious Mittens Romney impacting the chintz upholstery on his fainting couch.
We can’t tell you what that smell is, but it’s coming from the “opposition research” trolls in the basement of the White House.
Palin’s rockstar-style tourbus, decked out with traditional American iconography such as the Constitution and the Liberty Bell, will kick off the tour in Washington, D.C. and continue throughout historic sites in New England.

Our nation is at a critical turning point. As we look to the future, we are propelled by America’s past. There’s a TV show on SyFy or one of those other networks called “Warehouse 13″, about a massive storehouse of the world’s most interesting and often magical antiquities. The show’s based on a premise that there was a “warehouse” in every great epoch of history, where treasures were secured from looters and political instability. Once an empire or nation fell, or was on the verge of collapse, a new “warehouse” would be built in another part of the world, wherever the balance of power shifted. The current “warehouse” is in the United States, hidden away in a nondescript building that’s supposedly an IRS file storage facility.
Egypt’s actually building an impressive new museum in part of the Giza pyramids complex that will be much more secure than the current Cairo museum, and much larger too. It will be a massive warehouse for all the Egyptian antiquities currently scattered around the country or hidden in government basements because there’s no display room.
However, it’s still frightening to think of all these treasures — which belong to a culture now gone, usurped by Islam long ago — precariously kept anywhere in a country that could descend into the chaos it’s facing right now.
Or, worse, if Egypt goes the way of Iran or Taliban-held Afghanistan, and is taken over by a fundamentalist Islamic theocracy, then what would happen to all these treasures if the Islamists decide one day to destroy them all — the way the Ayatollahs destroyed Persian relics and the Talbian smashed Buddhas in Afghanistan because they were not Islamic.
Looters actually attempted to break into the Cairo museum during the chaos that’s overtaking Egypt. The army stopped them.
This time.
Another show that’s been on the air recently is “The Walking Dead”, where the world is overrun by zombies and major cities are besieged by these mindless killers who pour across bridges, through tight streets, and descend upon all in their path hungry for blood, guts, and destruction.
That’s what shots of all these Muslim Brotherhood revolutionaries remind me of, especially in scenes where they’re pushing towards buildings, trying to get in, to kill everyone inside in the name of Allah.
Zombies hitting the streets, with the army stepping in to protect mummies from them.
Reality is stranger than fiction sometimes.

Great Merciful Zeus, there is an Islamic Revolution underway in Egypt and security forces have abandoned Cairo
This is absolutely horrifying.
The secular (albeit dictatorial) government of Egypt is now on the verge of collapse — as security forces abandon the capital of Cairo.
No doubt, part of why this is happening is that Muslims worldwide know Obama is sympathetic to whatever they do, and with the Left in America controlling this country now, it’s a ripe moment in history to repeat the Islamization of the 1970s under Jimmy Carter. A weak, foolish US president back then is echoed today by a weak, deceptive president in Obama…whom I have a very hard time imagining crying any tears over a secular government falling to Islamists.
Tunisia first, and now Egypt, becoming Islamized is an absolute horror show we will be dealing with for decades to come.
If you never got a chance to see the Sphinx and Pyramids, there’s always video of them on YouTube from other people’s vacations to live vicariously through, because you will not want to (or possibly be allowed to) go there again for a very, very long time (as in, you’ll be able to see Persepolis on the same trip as Luxor).
It feels a little like that moment in Star Wars when the Death Star fires on Alderaan and all Princess Leia could do was watch.
Another country falling to the medievalist evil that is Islam.
