1018pm CST: Barack Obama declared the winner by FOX News — 2012 OFFICIAL ELECTION RESULTS WATCH THREAD
What: This is the official 2012 Election Results Watch Thread
When: 4pm CST – midnight (or longer) on Election Day 11/6/2012
Format: This is a live transcript for history of the Election Results as they were reporting on MSNBC on Election Night
Below you will find my live coverage of election night, as the results start coming in. I’ve been up since 9am covering everything MSNBC did today. You can find the first part of the coverage HERE.
400pm CST — MSNBC is reporting that Barack Obama is spending time with Reggie Love right now at the East Bank Club, “playing basketball”. I swear that’s not a joke. They’re really talking about him and Reggie spending time together on Election Night as a tradition. Isn’t that something you have with your wife (or boyfriend)…an intimate tradition like this? WEIRD. You’d almost think Obama was gay or something (wink).
Chris Matthews’ Hardball is starting soon. Everything before this was just the warmup. I have been waiting for four years to see Matthews meltdown when Obama loses.
Okay, so Chris Matthews is on there and he has that Chuck Todd with him (the one who looks like he’s been eating Spaghetti-Os out of can without a spoon and got sauce all over this mouth). There’s another guy wearing purple (who for once is not Prince). They’re talking about turnout, and Chris says that “Democrats always win ground game!”…which is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. This is something you hear every 4 years, but Mitt Romney has been planing run for President for 8 years. Do you really believe he didn’t think “Oh, I should get a ground game because the Democrats always have a good ground game”. The whole point in running Romney is that he is a master organizer, so this is just stupid.
While the three hens are bickering on the tee-vee, I want to update you on how awful it’s been to watch MSNBC all day. That Martin Bashir show that was on from 3-4pm CST was the worst and most hateful hour of tee-vee I have ever seen. It was like a scene from 1984, where the Ministry of Truth railed against Emmanuel Goldberg for an hour…but it was Martin Bashir saying how evil Mitt Romney is. Not a word about why people should vote for Obama…just that Romney is evil and racist and cruel and crooked and hateful and whatever you fear most. It was CRAZY.
Throughout the day, Democrats have kept pushing that:
5. Barack Obama has already won so they should just call the election now. The only people who are voting against him are racist and everyone loves him, so this election was a waste of time because Romney is evil and a racist.
4. When Obama loses Ohio it is because of voter fraud…and then they spend 20 minutes talking about how Republicans are stealing votes and suppressing turnout to steal the election. Because they are evil!!!!
3. Paul Ryan was a bigger disaster of a VP pick than Sarah Palin and everyone hates him and no one thinks he is hot and he has a big nose and is a poopy-head.
2. Republicans never never win an election again because of black people and Hispanics who have taken over the country and control everything now, so white people have to suck it.
1. Nate Silver is a prophet and if you do not agree with his projection that Obama has a 90% chance to win then you are a witch who must be burned!
It’s the dumbest stuff I have ever heard, but I can see why the members of the Ministry of Truth believe all this. They have worshipped Obama for four years now. They don’t believe the Tea Party was real. They really think the only people who don’t like Obama are in the klan. The only way Obama loses is, thus, through voter fraud…which they are priming the pump to accuse everyone of.
Chris Matthews is going on right now — at 413pm CST — saying that his brain can’t see any way for Romney to win.
They are saying that the reason Romney was campaigning in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania was because Ohio hates Romney because he is rich and they don’t want to vote for their boss! And so they say that Romney then started grasping at straws because people hated him everywhere he went.
All of this is nuts, folks. It is pure propaganda and the opposite of reality. Now Robert Gibbs is on and says “Romney would have won if he had picked Chris Christie as his VP”. Gibbs is bragging that he got to meet Bruce Springstein and got his autograph and a hug the other day. Chris Matthews gets SO JEALOUS hearing that.
Earlier in the day Rush Limbaugh read one of my essays on Obama planning his Concession Speech for McCormick Place instead of the giant staging area of Grant Park. Rush found it interesting — as do I — that Obama decided against having a giant rally in Grant Park like he did in 2008. Why hold the election night event in the fortress-like convention center that’s cut off from the city by a giant highway and is MUCH harder for people to get to than Grant Park? Makes no sense…unless Obama knew they would not be celebrating and would instead be giving a Concession Speech to a small crowd.
419pm CST — John Nichols from The Nation is claiming that Obama will win Ohio because “Romney is a liar!” and that people in Ohio hate him. I just can’t imagine Ohioans voting for Obama again. I’m from there…and was born and raised in Cleveland. Ohioans are just not Leftists. They don’t vote radicals into office. Back in 2008, they enjoyed being part of the hopeychange fad and they voted for Obama…but he only won by 4%. Since then, Ohioans voted out Democrats from the Governor’s Mansion, Secretary of State, and Attorney General positions. They replaced these people with Republicans. Why? Because Ohioans did not like what Democrats did from 2008-2010. Ohioans also voted against Obamacare and authorized a ballot initiative to exempt Ohio from the Obamacare mandate. What happened between 2010-2012 to make people in Ohio suddenly want to trust Democrats and vote for Obama again? That’s madness.
Ohio’s a state that elected George W. Bush twice recently…and it was actually hard for Ohioans to vote for a Texan, with the twang and all. It will be much easier for these people to vote for Romney because he talks like Ohioans and he seems like a nice man who knows what the heck he’s doing. There is just no logical reason to believe that suddenly Ohio is a Leftist state and that Ohioans want the Left to control the country. With the hopeychange fad gone, Ohioans will go to Romney. There just aren’t that many Leftists in Ohio to give the state to Obama again.
When MSNBC talks about Ohio, it’s like they are describing a BizarroWorld version of my home state that’s totally unrecognizable to me.
Breitbart.com’s reporting that Ohio voting is up in Republican counties like Geauga and down in Democrat counties like Athens. It’s up by HUGE numbers in the Republican counties, since all the people who sat home in 2008 have roared back…and Democrats are just not as enthused as they were doing “Hopeychange”.
For the Ministry of Truth to be right about Ohio, we’d need to believe that America really has been transformed into a Leftist majority nation that wants the government to intrude deeper into our lives. That would completely ignore not only the 2010 elections, but also the June recall effort of Scott Walker in Wisconsin (where Democrats and the unions were soundly defeated).
As a son of Cleveland, I just don’t believe Ohioans want socialism and think Obama should have a second term. Ohio took a chance on him…and he failed…and now they will fire him and hire Romney instead.
If Ohio really is a swing state and is not a new Leftist bastion like Illinois or California or New York, then there’s just no way for Obama to win Ohio. It makes no sense when Romney’s winning big with Independents and Republican counties are outperforming Democrat ones in turnout.
430pm CST — they are talking about Dixville Notch now, the little place that votes at midnight.
Eugene Robinson is on and they are going on about race and things again. I am so tired of hearing this garbage.
Then something interesting happened: they started talking about how President Romney would be in office, and they were saying “Oh, he won’t be that much different than Obama because Congress never wants to get anything done and he won’t have more success than Obama”.
It felt like they were starting to enter into ACCEPTANCE a little bit in the stages of grief. They were trying to rationalize that “this election doesn’t really matter because Romney will just be the same”. It was strange. This happened from like 430-446 in that segment.
First time I heard them do this all day.
440pm CST — Chris Matthews now talks about “voting irregularities!”. He’s showing a voting machine in Pennsylvania on YouTube that shows a machine changing a vote to Romney when she tries voting for Obama. This is the big conspiracy on the left today….and on Facebook the lefties I watch are saying that Tagg Romney is doing this. Like he is behind the building with a remote control changing the results.
Reince Preibus the RNC Chair says that he expects the election to be called for Mitt Romney at 1030pm. I’ve noticed something today: all the Democrats who come on look like death and the Republicans look calm and confident. Everyone is trying to earn their pay by saying what they need to say, but when Ed Rendell was talking earlier about Pennsylvania he looked FREAKED OUT. Rendell was the longtime Governor of Pennsylvania and I think was Attorney General or Philly Mayor before that. He’s a big friend of Hillary Clinton’s. Normally, he is full of buster like a thunderstorm…but he was sedate and looked small today. Maybe he is just getting older or is sick…and he looks like he may have lost weight. But he just didn’t chew up the scenery like normal.
Are you noticing anything like this?

They’ve got that Tamron Hall doing exit polling. As she’s talking Chris Matthews is saying that “it was a brilliant strategic move to make Hillary Clinton his running mate”…and he talked for a while, but then realized he meant to say Secretary of State. That happened at 603pm CST.
He then said that if Hillary was not SOS then Bill would not have campaigned for Obama. THIS IS SO STUPID. Bill had to help Obama or he’d be blamed for the loss. Blacks would have been furious. The Clintons do what they need to do to be able to have blacks in their corner for 2016.
Chris Matthews is a fool.
Rachel Maddow is hosting this thing and I never realized she look so much like Matthew Perry from Friends. I almost thought it was him.
WARNING!!! MSNBC is starting the exit polling freakout game. DO NOT BE FREAKED OUT.
They are playing games now to affect the votes out west.
DO NOT GET FREAKED OUT!
Drudge Report is playing games with you right now. He is engaging in fear porn. Remember that Drudge wants to boost his web traffic today. He wants to make this the biggest day ever for Drudge. So he is going to tease and toy and freak you out. My advice? Don’t go on Drudge Report.
Breitbart is under control today with no fear porn. HotAir is actually under control too. Do not go on Drudge because he will just terrorize you emotionally tonight…because he can!
513pm CST — MSNBC is broadcasting from BizarroWorld. They said the biggest things in this race were:
* Romney said 47% and everyone hated him after that
* Romney lied in Ohio and Ohio hates him now…we’ve never had anything like this in history, he lied so much
* Romney also said let Detroit go bankrupt and he proved he is evil
— Do you see how this is BizarroWorld? none of these things were the important things of the campaigns —
* Romney left “Chris Christie” at the altar and would have won with him. Paul Ryan was a terrible VP pick, worse than Palin! (They are saying this right now, at 515pm CST).
* Romney has been in a dance of death since last week
* Paul Ryan was a zero as a running mate and is a poopy-head stupid face.
* Al Sharpton says that Romney is just weak and everyone hates him and he’s a racist too, and everyone hates racists
* Occupy Wall Street showed everyone that Romney is the personification of unfairness
* Romney said that Detroit should drop dead (Al Sharpton said this).
* Obama won relation when he brought Hillary in and they united the party (that never happened…and Hillary people from 2008 still hate Democrats for yanking the nomination from her…uh, that’s the story of my life!).
* Steve Schmidt (McCain campaign manager): Says that Romney was just a terrible candidate and was unprepared to run for president. He had the tax problem and it made Hispanics hate Romney. Romney will get only about 20 Hispanic people toll voting for him.
* Romney did lousy in the debates.
* Rachel Maddow: Paul Ryan lied at the convention speech and then they shrank him. They sent him to Alabama and South Carolina and they disappeared him because everyone hates him. They should have picked Chris Christie as VP.
* Steve Schmidt — who looks like a discarded Cabbage Patch Kid — says that they should have picked Rob Portman as a running mate.
* Some other fat person said that they should have sent Paul Ryan to Wisconsin and had him win his state.
* Al Sharpton says that black are angry and are going to vote more than ever for Obama because they see that Romney is evil!
GEESH…this is all so nuts.
It’s the opposite of reality.
Everyone on this stage is mentally illl.
— THANKS SO MUCH to those who hit the tip jar. If you notice the site moving faster, we were able to bump up the capacities a few times so it’s moving much faster. Could not have afforded it without you, so THANK YOU. I think we’ll be moving smoothly. That rush of readers from Rush knocked us on the ground for a while…but it was a good thing —
A FEW WORDS ABOUT MATT DRUDGE:
The reason he screws with you on nights like tonight is because he can. Drudge is gay, and is a prankster. Think of him as a big brother who likes to hold you down and dangle a spider over your head to make you squeal. It’s fun for him. He’s a showman like PT Barnum. He knows Romney will win, but he’s teasing you and will build the excitement like a drama queen.
Don’t go on Drudge Report tonight. I will be looking at it all evening and I will tell you anything you need to know. But spare yourself Matt Drudge’s drama. He’s a nice guy and great at what he does, but man does he like to screw with people’s emotions.
I love that Romney campaign party is cash bar. I love that he’s not providing them with alcohol. I love that.
To have a sober president again will be amazing. And not just one who gave it up…but one who never even drank. I love that.
Life is so much better without booze, it really is.
Said the guy who is celebrating tonight with Vernors.
Do you know the movie Child’s Play? With the Chucky doll that came to life?
Steve Schmidt looks like a Cabbage Patch doll come to life. He really does.
And he talks like he’s got half a sandwich in his mouth.
I can’t stand John McCain and everyone from his campaign. The only good thing John McCain ever did in his life was to elevate Governor Palin to the national scene.
532pm CST — Polls close in my home state in an hour.
Half an hour until the polls close in Virginia.
Please consider saying a little prayer for our country right now. All we can do is pray that voters were smart enough to see that America would not exist as we know it if Obama had another four years.
I am visualizing every saint, angel, and soul I’v ever known swooping down from Heaven to make the numbers go up and up and up for a President Romney.
I picture all of our great presidents intervening with energy to direct the election to their chosen successor, Mitt Romney.
Please pray for our country in your own way too, if you are so inclined.
Again, do not trust Drudge. Drudge plays games. Do not go on Drudge.
Jon Nolte at Breitbart.com has a results thread going. He’s a safe writer. He does not push fear porn that I know of. If you need to check results every few minutes, John Nolte is doing a good job without freaking anyone out.
544pm CST — I have a friend in McCormick Place right now. That’s where Obama is having his Concession Speech. It is nearly empty in there. People are on edge and “look like they are going to throw up”.
Not much going on there. No energy.
547pm CST — this is nonscientific, but every Democrat out there speaking tonight looks like they are going to throw up too. A lot of people are emailing in saying that Bill Richardson looks green. Now, he might have eaten too many curly fries at Arby’s on the way in, but I think he knows what’s up.
The tension is thick.
MSNBC is filling time until Virginia’s polls close. When Romney wins it, Maddow, and Matthews, and Alex Wagner and those people are going to FLIP OUT.
How many ways can I describe these people looking sick?
What are the symptoms of a heart attack in case I see them in Matthews and need to cal 9-1-1 in New York for him.
At the bottom of the screen, they have some results coming in.
Indiana = Romney, Kentucly = Romney, the vote totals are just 1% at 552pm CST.
Some obnoxious guy that looks like Tim Russert’s son Luke but it’s not is talking. He’s a snarky and obnoxious guy. The Left probably loves him.
He did a recap of how terrible and stupid Republicans are so that lefties can feel superior to all of us.
553pm CST — it’s a commercial break, so let’s check to see what the Left’s doing on Facebook.
Tracy Baim, a gay activist who works for the Windy City Times, is saying that if Republicans win then this will happen to black people:
Here’s what the Left-Leaning Liberal Ladies are saying:
Click above to embiggen: they are asking each other what is the last nail in Romney’s coffin.
600pm CST — Virginia still too close to call
Romney wins INDIANA
Romney wins KENTUCKY
Obama wins VERMONT
Claiming it is too early to call Georgia (weird!)
South Carolina too early to call
Romney 19 EVs, Obama 3 EVs.
602pm CST — So far MSNBC is not freaking out.
Okay, Chris Matthews look like death right now. Earlier he opted not to guess who would win.
Rachel Maddow looks like she has no idea what’s even happening. Matthews is white and pale and sweating.
I know you are feeling tense right now.
Just breathe deep and trust in God and the good of the American people.
We are in this together.
Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can’t Fail.
609pm CST — Maddow is saying that Virginia is becoming more diverse and that is bad for Republicans because Republicans are only the party of white people.
They are really pounding that home.
I know it might sound stupid, but I almost can’t believe it’s really election night. It has been a LONG FOUR YEARS of so much weirdness. I never thought we’d get here. We’ll finally know the future of our country tonight.
You know what’s weird? They are not using donkeys and elephants as symbols…they are using the “Eye of Obama” logo and Romney’s “R”.
No donkeys and elephants anywhere.
Did you notice the conventions were like this too?
Does anyone know why they stopped using the party symbols?
Lookit those loons at “Being Liberal”:
They are saying that Romney’s Ohio votes should be taken away from him “for cheating”.
They are really working hard to spread that meme.
618pm CST — Chris Matthews just said that “if Mitt Romney wins it is only because of racism”. He then accused Romney of running an vile and racist campaign.
635pm CST — STILL TOO CLOS TO call in Ohio. Friends of mine on the ground in Cleveland say local news is reporting HIGH voting in the Cleveland suburbs and low turnout in Cleveland itself, which would be for Obama.
Only state Obama won so far is Vermont.
Romney just won South Carolina.
Al Sharpton is so stupid. He keeps saying that nobody liked Paul Ryan.
Rachel Maddow says that “Romney lost Ohio because of that commercial!”.
The prep story for when Obama loses Ohio is that Romney stole it with voter fraud.
Ohio will come down to my home county.
So Clevelanders will decide this.
Clevelanders are actually a lot like me.
If you like that, then Cleveland is a paradise you need to discover!
Abbey on the ground in Cleveland says that the local news looks sick on tee-vee. They are upset. They want Obama to win, so them being upset is a good thing.
643om CST —
Cleveland city of light, city of magic…don’t fail us.
I just don’t see how the people I grew up with would want another four years of Obama just two years after booting out the Democrats from statewide office. It makes no sense. I just don’t see how Obama would win Ohio. I don’t see how Cleveland’s suburbs support him.
These are my friends and family and teachers and ex-boyfriends and acquaintances and coworkers etc. I know these people . They don’t want to see America fail. They would doom us to another Obama term.
650pm CST — Romney wins Georgia. NOTE: Nate Silver said Obama would win Georgia.
It’s not called yet, but in the scroll it has Romney ahead in Virginia.
Also, it’s just a little percent in for every state, but Romney is winning by large amounts in Indiana, West Virginia, etc. So it would be BIZARRE for Obama to win Ohio. I’d expect it to be super close in Indiana if Obama would have a real chance at Ohio.
Check this article out:
650-724pm CST — the server is being crazy, we’re overloaded. Charlie Crist is accusing people of voter suppression. This guy is such a sleaze.
Waiting for the panhandle to come in.
From what I am reading, Romney wrote no concession speech but Obama did. Romney confident of Florida and Ohio wins.
728: Charlie Crist says that Republicans engage in voter suppression. He is orange and has a giant blue Obama sticker on him. He wants to run for Senate as a Democrat against Rubio. We really need to go after this guy in the future.
Chris Matthews is saying “Voter suppression” every 15 minutes.
It is deliberate…to lay the foundation for the lefties to use this as an excuse for Obama loss.
Sorry if the site is having trouble loading…it is being swamped.
732pm CST — Arkansas is for Romney.
Chris Murphy won the Senate race.
This was a surprise, because I thought McMahon would pull it out.
Charlie Crist, man. What a skeeze. I can’t get over what a lizard he is.
Karl Rove is saying Ohio, Florida, and Virginia look strong for Romney.
I know that Mitt Romney wrote no concession speech but Obama did. I know that Democrats look like they are going to throw up and Republicans are being calm. Chris Matthews would not be talking about voter suppression every two minutes if he thought Obama would win.
Matthews also would have declared Obama the winner on his show when he was asked to make a prediction and he didn’t. That should tell you something.
While they wait for results to come in, people are talking about what they are going to do tomorrow. I’m going to get a bunch of work done that’s piled up the last few days while I’ve been focused on the election. I also want to make sure that every terrible thing Democrats did in this election is documented.
740pm CST — Tamron Hall has more exit polling.
Exit polling is bunk.
She’s talking about Hurricane Sandy now. They love taking about Hurricane Sandy.
Do you see how Minitru comes up with something and then wants to push it.
They keep trying to make a big story about Chris Christie hurting Romney. They are doing this to damage Christie going forward. They want Republicans to attack Christie and start a Republican civil war.
This is because Democrats will have a civil war come November 7th between the Clinton Restoration and the Obama Remnant.
Minitru wants to start a similar war in the GOP.
This is what they do.
744pm CST — Chris Matthews is claiming that the Ohio secretary of state is too partisan. This is more laying the foundation for Obama to lose Ohio. Ken Blackwell, former Ohio Secretary of State is talking. He’s saying that Matthews is nuts.
Folks, I know you are stressed out, but my home town of Cleveland has got this for us.
Cleveland will not let you down…it will not give the Democrats the votes they need to win the state and Romney will take Ohio and the presidency.
Believe in the Cleve.
Believe in the Cleve.
Believe in the Cleve.
746pm CST — 749pm CST — this will be on YouTube, folks. Chris Matthews is getting into a nasty argument with Ken Blackwell. Al Sharpton is trying to gin up trouble too. It’s over early voting. Wow. That got NAStY. Matthews, Maddow, and Sharpton along with two other guys were yelling at Ken Blackwell and Blackwell yelled back. They were accusing him of suppressing votes and attacked him because the current SOS Husted cut back the early voting hours. Sharpton said that was racist.
At 751pm CST Chris Matthews said again: THEY SUPPRESSED the VOTE IN OHIO! He keeps repeating that every 5-10 minutes now.
He is doing this deliberately.
Coming up next is the batch of states with Wisconsin and Michigan. I really think we get a win in Wisconsin.
If there was ever a year we could get one, it’s this one. It makes no sense that Scott Walker won the recall but Romney won’t win the presidency.
So far we have had no surprises. All the really interesting races are being held back.
I think this might be for drama’s sake.
Remember: news is a business. They are making decisions on what states to call and which ones not to. Polls are still open on the west coast and in the western states. They won’t want to reveal Obama has lost until those states close so that it does not collapse his support there.
800pm CST — Romney wins Texas, Obama gets NY, Romney gets LA and KS…Obama got New Mexico easily. Romney gets Nebraska, at least 4 of votes there. North Dakota Romney. South Dakota Romney. Wyoming is Romney. Romney leads Arizona but too early to call. Obama lead-in Minnesota.
OH, VA, NC, NH still close to call but Romney leading more or less.
Missouri has Romney in the lead but too close to call.
New Mexico is officially as safe for Democrats in the future as Delaware is. That’s one I expected. Not sure why that is, but it is.
Michigan went to Obama…Wisconsin too early to call and Colorado too close to call.
Racine Wisconsin ran out of ballots and lines are too long.
Romney’s in position to win Florida, Virginia, Ohio, and Colorado.
805pm CST — Chris Matthews says “the polling has been really good!”. None of the swing states are called yet. Matthews is telling people to stay in line.
811pm CST — UPDATE: Cuyahoga County’s votes are in for Ohio….so that was the big area that Obama needed to win the state. It did not give him enough to sustain him for a win. The republican counties in Ohio are still coming in. The panhandle of Florida is not in either.
815pm CST — Obama won Pennsylvania.
It’s official. Pennsylvania is not a swing state ever. If it did not go Republican this time, it never will. It is the big tease state.
It is not going to go Republican for a very long time if this year it didn’t go to Romney.
821pm CST — Stephanie Cutte in Obama headquarters is talking. They show the campaign office behind her. They don’t look excited or happy…they look terrified.
Don’t believe the bluster on tee-vee…look at their faces. No smiles….they are staring at screens and are shaking.
826pm CST — Romney takes lead in Florida!!!!!
832pm CST — Wisconsin goes to Obama.
That is disappointing. It was a dream to win that state. This means that Wisconsin and Pennsylvania and Michigan can never be considered swing states.
833pm CST — Sherrod Brown was just declared the winner in the Ohio Senate race.
UPDATE — looks like we’re suffering some kind of a hack or other problem. It might be our servers or someone might be up to something malicious. It’s 930pm now and we’re still waiting on Ohio. All of the big Democrat strongholds are in.
Be calm. Deep breaths.
This is much closer than it should have been because Americans do not understand the dangers of unlimited spending and big government. Which is scary.
But I believe Romney will win Colorado, Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida and be our next president.
942pm CST — Arizona goes Romney. Nate Silver said that would be an Obama pickup.
The big takeaway so far folks is that the Left is much more powerful than we ever thought.
Americans either don’t see, or don’t mind, the Left’s control of Democrats.
That’s scary…because it means that things have not gotten bad enough for people to want to oust Democrats as they should have.
This puts us on the road to Europe and means we have much, much much more work to do than we thought.
Have faith. Be calm. Breathe deep.
It’s in the hands of God and the voters.
But, the Left is FAR more powerful than any of us realized so the years ahead will be tough.
The election really will be close, but Romney will win.
952pm CST — Minnesota goes to Obama
The big questions to see resolved now are if Nevada and Iowa are really permanent Democrat states. Is Iowa really a Democrat state, or did it get swept up in the Obama fad 4 years ago?
Does America really want four more years of weirdness and suffering?
It’s a bizarre and unthinkable thought.
A friend has told me she thinks this will all end up in courts.
So we might not really know the result tonight.
1000pm CST — Romney wins North Carolina
Romney wins Idaho
Obama wins Washington and Hawaii
Obama wins California.
They didn’t call it, but Obama will win Oregon and Romney will get Alaska.
George Allen lost the Senate race in Virginia, but Romney has a slim lead there.
10007 pm CST — Missouri for Romney
1014pm CST — Barack Obama has won Ohio, and with it reelection.
This is stunning. Absolutely stunning.
Hillary Clinton’s Remarkable Knack for Being in the South Pacific Whenever Democrats Are Going to Have A Terrible Day Back Home
Though I will never vote for another Democrat as long as I live because I just won’t ever again trust that party with the presidency, I’ll always love Hillary Clinton for the mind games she plays with Barack Obama right under everyone’s noses. During the 2008 campaign there were stretches in the primaries where I’d actually see her in person three or four times a week, and I’d get to observe her unguarded, interacting with her friends, and showing off her sharp and biting sense of humor. She loves screwing with people…and has a golden peal of a laugh that reverberates in a room like booming church bells. She’s hilarious and cutting…and expertly carries grudges.
The woman also has quite the knack for being as far away from Washington, DC as humanly possible whenever anything bad is about to happen to Democrats. Have you noticed this?
* November 2nd, 2010 — While Democrats were being roasted by voters stateside in the Midterm elections, Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton was dancing by a fire in Papua New Guinea having a pig roast on the beach. Laughing and smiling and laughing some more. I wonder what she named the pig before they cooked it?
* September 4-6th, 2012 — During the bizarre yelling and shouting and baby-killing festival of anger that Democrats held in Charlotte, North Carolina (but called it their quadrennial “Convention”), Hillary was in the Cook Islands near New Zealand, having a wonderful time in tropical temperatures and smiling behind sunglasses…having nothing to do with the mess Democrats were making for themselves back home.
* November 6th, 2012 — When Barack Obama and Democrats go down in defeat in the general election, Hillary will be in Perth, Australia enjoying her distance away in the Southern Hemisphere.
With Hillary Clinton there are no coincidences.
On November 7th, after Obama and his acolytes are defeated, Bill and Hillary Clinton will launch the Democrat Civil War for control of the heart and soul of the party. The factions of the Clinton Restoration and the Obama Remnant will jostle for the reins, like the Lion and the Unicorn quarreling all over town. We all know how that turned out, too. The next four years will be mighty interesting as magically all sorts of evidence drops showing that Barack Obama was personally responsible for what happened in Libya…and that Obama actually ordered no action be taken to rescue Ambassador Stevens and the others that were killed. Just watch…once he’s out of office and no one can blame the Clintons for “ruining Obama’s chance at reelection!” then all sorts of interesting things will leak (maybe even through WikiLeaks) the reveal Obama to have been up to all sorts of odd things in Libya that blew up in his face. The Clintons hold grudges, mean business, and want to reconstitute the Democrat Party around its former moderate/centrist “Democrat Leadership Council” heart.
It’s going to be a sight to behold, even if I think Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are going to do so well in their first term that no Democrat will be elected to the presidency for many, many years to come. That means Barack Obama and those on the Left who pushed Hillary aside to deny her the chance to become our first female president will be on the receiving end of more than just mind games in the years ahead.
I know that many of you take every opportunity afforded to bash Hillary Clinton because it’s an old habit…but you can disagree with or dislike a person while still appreciating the complicated and not-at-all-coincidental things she does to even the score with her nemeses.
There’s never been a character in American politics quite like Hillary Clinton…and she’s definitely not done with Barack Obama yet.
As he says Goodbye to his presidency, Hillary’s saying G’Day to Australians far, far away…and loving every minute of it!
LIVE! Transcript of Election Day Coverage: Monitoring the lies the Left is telling all day today and creating a historical record of dirty tricks they’ve played
What: Live transcript of Election Day coverage
When: Tuesday November 6th, 2012 from 9am – 4pm CST.
Format: Monitoring the various lies, fear porn, and other apocryphal freak-outs the Left pushed on the public all day for the expressed purposed of demoralizing and depressing Republicans
As a public service, I’m going to camp out here at Buzzquarters all day today and monitor everything the Left attempts to do during this election to freak out Republicans and score psychological-warfare points for Barack Obama. I’ll be tuning into MSNBC for most of the day to see what crazy things the pundits there are saying…and I’ll also be watching a select few lefties on Facebook to see what they’re sharing post-wise there.
Some of the groups/people I’ll be keeping tabs on are:
* Anne Rice on Facebook (the woman who used to write vampire books I liked when I was in college, but then she went batty)
* Tracy Baim on Facebook (a lesbian columnist here in Chicago who is actually a nice person…and I’m watching her to see how things are being spun to the gay audience)
* France 24 on Facebook (to see what the French press — who LOVE Obama — are saying all day)
I’ll also be watching other lefties who live in Chicago and other major cities to see how they are reacting throughout the day. I invite you to use this thread to add insights of your own as things start to unfold.
This post will be active and updated regularly until about 4pm CST or so, at which time I’ll start a new one that will be for the RESULTS as they start to roll in. But this post will be for the morning and afternoon coverage before we actually get into the results. I want this to be a historic record of all the mind-games and psych-outs the Left pulls on Romney voters all day…so that maybe in future elections people can anticipate what the Ministry of Truth and lefties on the ground will do and we can all spare ourselves the emotional terrorism by simply realizing that for every election the Left engages in these psychological campaigns…and for some reason Republicans always are affected by it when they should just expect this stuff all the time and largely ignore it. Since we’re never going to change the Left’s behavior, we should start augmenting our responses to them.
Especially if you are someone who lets emotional terrorism and fear porn get to you.
Remember: if you spot someone pushing fear porn today, yell “SHARK!” and then point on in comments that whatever story they’re forcing on readers is fear porn that should be ignored. We are not allowing anyone to scare the bejeebus out of people today just to drive traffic to their websites or win bets with buddies that they could freak the most people out with false stories on election day.
*****************************************************900am CST 11/6/2012 — Okay, so this is strange for me to be watching MSNBC. I feel like I am staring into a window into an alternate dimension, like on the show Fringe on FOX. All of these people they have on are kooks! Back in Cleveland, we would have said they are “damn skippy”. I don’t know a lot of their names because I haven’t watched tee-vee in three years, but I know Chuck Todd because his ginger goatee makes him looking like he was eating Spaghetti-Os out of a can and it left a ring around his face. A blonde woman who looks like a transvestite with severe Susan Powter-blonde hair is with Joe Scarborough, who I think is disgusting. Steve Schmidt, the man who bungled McCain’s campaign and looks like one of the pedophiles busted on Dateline, is also on. James Clyburne is there too…who looks like Mr. Toad from the Wild Ride at Disneyland.
NBC has painted their skating rink at Rockefeller Center to look like a giant map of the US…and I guess they are going to have schoolchildren color in the states red or blue when people call the states. I hope they are Eskimo children who are used to coloring on ice, because otherwise that would be really cold.
Joe Biden has announced he is running for President in 2016. As he said this, his wife Jill laughed and laughed, like it was the funniest thing she’s ever heard. This so reminds me of my boyfriend Justin and me. Whenever he says something oddball I laugh and shake my head and say, “Oh, Justin”. Jill’s totally saying, “Oh, Joe”. It’s hilarious.
Haley Barbour was just on as a guest and he looked like a stock Republican villain from a bad tee-vee movie. Man, that man has some honey-coated marbles in his mouth…and boy is he STUPID. I’ve actually met him before when he did some fundraising thing here in Chicago and I think he’s a nice man…but he was stupid in person too. And his hands are sweaty. Barbour’s going on and on about how he thinks Hurricane Sandy helped Obama because “that was big storm and it scared the people and those peoples don’t want no more storms so they gonna vote Obama cause he is against the storms”. It’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard anyone say on tee-vee.
Let me tell you this so that it’s clear, because MSNBC is really pushing this “Hurricane Sandy helped Obama!” business…because this is just not true. People can see that New York and New Jersey are suffering and the Democrat-controlled government is incompetent. Minitru is saying that “the storm helped!’ because this is what Democrats do…they will keep saying the opposite of reality because they hope stupid people will just start believing it. Like, if it’s raining they will keep telling you that it’s not and eventually you might be hypnotized and think it’s bone dry out….I guess…if you are stupid. But I think Minitru buys its own hype because they really want Obama to win, and they are desperate to have any excuse to say he will win. The only thing they have is this Sandy thing. Let me tell you something: Sandy Duncan did more good for Obama than Hurricane Sandy did. It’a absolutely absurd to think that the incompetence and chaos in New York and New Jersey is going to help Obama. That’s absurd.
910am CST — there’s a very racist black woman on the show who I don’t recognize…she just keeps saying “this is a very diverse coalition and President Obama cannot lose because Mitt Romney does not have as much support as President Obama”. She’s a black supremacist, clearly. And she has no idea what she is talking about.
MSNBC keeps saying “Obama has a better chance of winning this thing because the American public has loved what he has done and we’ve had a demographic change and Hispanics will decide the election…so Democrats will win the elections from now on because of Hispanics”.
That’s just not true, folks. It’s just fear porn to freak you out. If Democrats really had a demographic advantage and would stay in power forever….then what the heck happened in in 201o>
Steve Schmidt is such a pig. He’s on there saying Obama will win…boy is he fat. His cheeks are so puffy and he has one of the goatees like Chuck Todd that make him look like he was eating creamed mushroom soup out of a can without a spoon, because his goatee is gray while Chuck Todd’s looks like spaghetti-Os.
I keep trying to find the racist black woman’s name, but they don’t show it.
Holdup, it’s Melody Barnes. On her business card it should read:
915pm CST — Rudy Giuliani and Howard Dean are next up. They had Newt Gingrich on for like two seconds before, which to me wasn’t even worth waking up and getting dressed to do a show…if you’d only be on for two seconds. What’s up with that? Maybe Newt just likes riding in town cars to go to the tee-vee station. There’s a lot of free pop to drink in the green room while waiting for your segment too.
Minitru’s Lies About Ohio:
Okay. I’ve identified one of the big lies that MSNBC is telling today, and it’s about Ohio. They’ve got Steve Schmidt and Bob Shrum on right now and these two clowns (who both presided over losing campaigns) are saying that Romney will lose Ohio because Ohioans don’t like rich people. Schmidt said that people in Ohio don’t like voting for someone who is like their boss and that people in Ohio want the government to be more involved in their lives.
Now, I was born and raised in Ohio. In Cleveland, to be specific. There is no hatred of rich people in Ohio’s culture. People don’t hate those who are successful…but instead Ohioans WANT to be successful themselves and kids dream of growing up and having a business and getting rich. Ohioans value success and give merit to those who get ahead in life by working hard.
So Schmidt, and Shrum and these other guys have no idea what they are talking about regarding Ohio. The other thing that they don’t like to talk about is that Occupy Wall Street tried to blow up buildings and bridges in Cleveland. That’s when Occupy Wall Street actually collapsed as a movement, because Democrats realized they could not be directly connected to domestic terrorists. This is important because if MSNBC is claiming that the reason they think Ohio will go to Obama is because Ohioans hate the rich then these people don’t have any idea how horrified Clevelanders were by Occupy trying to blow up my home town.
These people are clueless and out of touch on MSNBC.
925pm CST — they are now claiming that “Hurricane Sandy and early voting have won the race for Obama!”…but that’s nutty. Democrats are down 57% in early and absentee voting in Chicago. CHICAGO, folks. In Cleveland, there’s a huge decrease in voting for Obama there. MSNBC Is just putting out propaganda today to make the Left feel better so that nationwide the Left doesn’t just stay home…which they would do if MSNBC was telling the truth.
MSNBC is also saying Obama will win Virginia, which is not true. All those people whose jobs depend on the military there…why on Earth would they vote for the man who wants to gut our military and take away their jobs? That’s just foolish.
There’s a very snotty black guy with glasses on next to the transvestite blonde. I don’t know his name, but he’s claiming that the only people voting against Obama are racists. Once the racist black woman left the screen, they brought this guy on. Since they weren’t on the show together, they could be the same person, Michael and LaToya Jackson style.
930pm CST —
Drudge is reporting that the Black Panthers are attempting voter intimation in Philly today…and that some judge tried to eject the Republican poll watchers and replace them with Democrats. I mention this because the Romney campaign’s lawyers swooped in and got a court order to reinstate the poll watchers. One of the reasons I came around to Mitt Romney and why I actually love the guy at this point is that he is smart and he surrounds himself with smart, relentless people. He is in complete command of his campaign and is not allowing Democrats to get away with anything like McCain did. There is no pussyfooting around here.
I really want to take this moment to debunk the fear porn about Democrats “stealing this election” through voter fraud…but I paradoxically want to acknowledge that voter fraud is being committed right now. There’s jut not enough of it going on to make a difference in the presidential race because Romney will win big today. You might be freaked out if you are listening to MSNBC because they keep saying “it’s close, and trending towards Obama!” but they are just lying about that because they don’t want to see the magical black man defeated.
This election will not be close and there is just no opportunity to commit as much voter fraud as Democrats were able to push in the past. There’s a few reasons for that, but chief amongst them are:
1. Republicans control key positions in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Wisconsin, and other states that make it much, much harder for Democrats to commit voter fraud than they did in the past. Just think about this for a second. I actually had to spend an hour with Justin today because his mother CarolAnne called at 5am and had him in tears, freaking him out because she heard on the radio that “Democrats are going to steal Ohio with voter fraud!”.
I actually feel very blessed that CarolAnne is a part of our life because through her I get to know every crazy fear porn theory that’s being floated without ever having to listen to Alex Jones myself. And in talking Justin down off the ledge every morning (and then at night, after his mother calls for her daily three hour chat with him in which she scares the bejeebus out of her son) I get to think about all the things I can write here for you to counter the fears you might have. So, I always have to be on my toes 24.7 with this stuff and I am constantly looking for hard evidence that CarolAnne is just being freaked out by fear porn again.
I have no better counter to the voter fraud fears than to ask you, ‘If Democrats are so good at voter fraud in Ohio, then why on Earth didn’t they use it in 2010 to keep Ted Strickland as Governor and to maintain the George Soros-sponsored Secretary of State and Attorney General they used to have there?”. It makes NO SENSE to think that Democrats weren’t able to use fraud to hold the Governor’s Mansion, SOS, and AG positions but are now suddenly so powerful with the fraud that they can steal this race when there’s a Republican in all those positions. That is just not reality. Don’t let the fear mongers scare you with this! They are telling you there’s a Megalodon shark in your bathtub…but trust me, it’s okay to get out the Mr. Bubbles for a soak because there will be no fin in that water.
2. The Romney campaign has in place a team of rapid-fire attorneys who will thwart any funny business…AND Romney has a network of people to cover any attempts of fraud as they happen and get that info out the world. There are so many people today who take a camera with them everywhere and always have their cell phones with them. There is no way that any funny business goes unreported…and there’s no way that Romney allows this stuff to happen. You need to remember that McCain had just given up his campaign in September of 2008…so he didn’t even try to win. Mitt Romney is commanding this race and will win big time.
943am CST — Former Governor Strickland is on tee-vee lying now. He’s claiming that Obama is getting 2/3 of the votes in early voting. That makes no sense. The entire panel on MSNBC is saying that “Mitt Romeny bumbled and didn’t try to get early votes out so he will lose”. Just think about that for a minute. Mitt Romney has been running for President for 6 years. Ohio is a state that every presidential candidate since 1960 has won if he won the White House. It is absurd to think that Mitt Romney was not planning for six years to take Ohio. MSNBC keeps saying “Democrats have the ground game and Republicans don’t”. That’s just not true.
Steve Schmidt is saying “Obama has big rallies and they take people to vote after the big rallies. And they have Stevie Wonder and Bruce Springstein bringing people in to vote”. What they don’t tell you is that Stevie Wonder held a concert in Cleveland for Obama to get people to vote…and 200 people
955am CST — I’m looking around the web and of course MSNBC is not reporting that Independents are breaking for Romney by 15%…so there’s just no way that Obama wins, folks. No matter what the fear porn pushers say. It just makes no sense to think that if Independents are going big to Romney, and that Republicans are crawling over broken glass to vote Obama out of office, and Democrats are less enthused than in 2008 that Obama would win. That’s just stupid.
MSNBC is pretending this is a majority Leftist country, but it’s not.
Oh…another thing I want to tell you…so I did a lot of calls over the weekend and Monday to former classmates from high school and college who live in Ohio who still go to church with their families. ALL OF THEM who went to mass on Sunday said their priests told the parishioners to vote for Romney and to vote AGAINST Democrats because of Obamacare. That was something like 20 parishes across Ohio. My friends in other states say the same thing happened there. And I know it happened here in Boystown in Chicago because my neighbor goes to St. Mary’s on Belmont and east of Halsted and she said that the priest said to vote against Obamacare too. So if this is happening in so many places then I don’t see how people in Ohio vote for Obama over Romney. Not everyone will listen to their priest, but I think they’ll at least stay home on election day instead of going out and voting for Obama. If you are not Caatholic you might not understand Catholic guilt but it is a powerful thing. When I was a kid and the priest told us not to see certain movies, my parents wouldn’t take us…and to this day I won’t even watch those movies because I’d feel bad because Father Rapheal told me not to watch that violent stuff.
1000am CST — Romney’s going to hold his penultimate campaign rally in my hometown of Cleveland. This makes me so proud. The people of Cleveland are voting against Obama. Romney has a very real chance of winning Cuyahoga County, which should be a Democrat stronghold….but the suburbs of Greater Cleveland are voting against Obama. I am so proud to be a Clevelander on any random day, but especially today…because Cleveland will help put Mitt Romney over the top. My friends from high school and college in Cleveland are doing their part to win this for America’s Comeback Team. I feel like it’s the Return of the Jedi movie and all those different people from all those different planets are on the bridges of ships in an epic battle against the Death Star…and I get to represent the City of Cleveland here on the political stage and do my part to get the word out that Minitru is lying and Ohio will not be going to Obama. City of light, city of magic that is Cleveland…and Clevelanders are helping to liberate the nation I love from the Obama debt star.
I am so proud.
MSNBC keeps saying “it’s demographics versus enthusiasm and there’s no way Democrats lose on demographics”. This is WRONG. It’s just not true that we have reached a point where Democrats will win every election because of “demographics”. This is fear porn. If Chuck Todd was right, then Democrats would have won in 2010. And they lost BIG.
The reason that MSNBC gets this election so wrong is that they won’t admit that Obama’s election was really based on the hopeychange fad. It was a pop culture fad that swept the nation and that fad ended in 2010. The fad is gone. The cognitive dissonance relates to the fact that MSNBC and the entire Ministry of Truth believe that 2008 transformed this country into a permanent Democrat majority. They are sticking to that. I personally believe — and keep telling you — that 2008 was a cultural fad like the Cabbage Patch kids, pet rocks, New Kids on the Block, and Beanie Babies. That is why Obama will lose big: he is a fad that passed.
1010am CST — One of my friends sent me this photo. She’s out taking her little baby for a walk and she added a Romney/Ryan sign to her stroller. I love it:
Speaking of little babies…the MSNBC buffoons are arguing with Rudy Giuliani.
I don’t know who the Tranny is who sits next to Joe Scarborough, but it’s hilarious to me that a woman would CHOOSE to look like a drag queen or transvestite. She keeps saying “Hurricane Sandy won the election for Obama!”. She is told to say that over and over again.
Let me tell you a little secret about doing tee-vee. I had to do a lot of local news spots during the 2008 campaign for first Team Hillary and then McCain/Palin. Every appearance, I had three things I needed to say in my 30 seconds or whatever and I would talk about those three things no matter what I was asked. Because my job was to just repeat our current talking points. That’s what Tranny is doing for Obama on MSNBC, even though she’s a cohost of the show. She just wants to convince people that because there was a hurricane that Obama should be reelected…so there will be no more hurricanes. It’s so strange.
Guiliani tries telling her that New York and New Jersey is a disaster area and she points outside to Rockefeller Center and says, “It doesn’t look that bad! It’s all fixed!”. Giuliani has to remind her that the damage was done to Staten Island, which people can’t see from Rockefeller Center. “Oh, no one cares about Staten Island”. Giuliani tells her that he would not have been elected without Staten Island so he cares about it. Tranny tells him he is crazy.
THIS is what the Left watches on tee-vee and believes all day.
1020am CST — Chuck Todd says that Obama will not concede tonight…that he will drag it out until noon tomorrow “if he loses”.
Now they have on some jackass with weird glasses and white hair who says we need to get rid of the electoral college and have a popular vote. The Constitution was designed with a purpose and should not be changed. These guys on MSNBC say “The Constitution no longer works and must be updated!”.
They’re also trotting out those old cliches about “this has been the most negative campaign ever!”.
Y’all know they say that every four years, right?
It’s just something that dummies say…like “I voted for the lesser of two evils”. No, you are an unimaginative person who just parrots what you hear other buffoons say. Next. you’ll be quoting song lyrics. “I believe the children are our future. Let’s teach them well, then let them lead the way”. Scarborough would probably stand up and slow-clap like in a John Cusack movie because he thought it was so brilliant.
It’s only been an hour and a half of watching this and I feel like it’s been 15 hours.
1030am CST — Kelly O’Donnell is reporting from Columbus Ohio. She used to be a reporter in Cleveland on WKYC, the NBC affiliate. I don’t remember what happened to her exactly, but something bizarre happened with her family one year and then shortly afterwards she left Cleveland. It involved her brother and her father and either a car driving through her house or someone breaking in to murder them or her brother went nuts and tried to kill them. Something like that. It was so strange…and then after that she went to NBC national.
It’s fun to see old Cleveland local people on the national scene. There’s actually a really cool local anchor named Ramona Robinson who is in Cleveland who I think should be on the Today Show. She is so nice and is like the Princess in Cleveland, but in a good way.
1036pm CST — Okay, I just did an Eeyore/Fear Porn check and the only fear porn today is people saying “Brad Thor says that Obama will declare himself the winner before the polls close and scare people!”.
This is hard for me to comment on, because I know Brad personally. He is a friend of a friend and is an awesome guy. I love his books and when I was doing Tea Party events and things with the Chicago Young Republicans a few years ago I’d see him all the time. I think he’s great.
But he has a new book out right now.
The timing of him making the news right now with fear porn is interesting.
If I didn’t know him better I’d wonder if this was a way to make people Google the new book.
I don’t think Brad is like that, because his books sell well enough to not need this…but it’s still strange. I’ve never seen him do anything like this before and would be surprised to learn he did this just to sell books. That is not like him.
1039am CST — Howard Dean is on MSNBC telling people that if Obama loses it is because of voter fraud. Dean FLAT OUT SAID that the only way Obama loses is because of voter fraud and harassment and voting machines not working. He said this at 1040am CST. Someone please get that on YouTube.
This is strategic.
They know Obama is going to lose, and they are setting up the excuse for him losing.
Remember that Dean and Howard Brazile were the ones who took over the Democrat Party, ousted the Clintons, and installed Obama in power as their figurehead. Dean and Brazile plotted this takeover since 2004. So, Dean is now saying this stuff about Obama only losing due to voter fraud because he wants to use this in the Democrat Civil War when the Clintons come out and argue that Democrats need to move to the center and that Americans Repudiated the left when they voted Obama out. Dean and Brazile will lead the Obama Remnant faction and will argue that voter fraud cost Obama the election and that the Left’s ideas are still popular.
This Lion versus Unicorn war between the Clinton Restoration and the Obama Remnant will rage for the next four years. You are witnessing the beginnings of it now.
Mark. My. Words. This is what they are up to.
1050am CST —
Okay, someone just commented on another thread that Ohio Governor Kasich said, “God gave us pollsters to make the astrologists look credible”. I love that.
Another person asked me for some tunes to listen to throughout the day. Here are a couple of good ones to crank up if Minitru gets you depressed at any point. They’re all from my childhood in Cleveland, a town that everyone always counted out and mocked and bullied (much like Minitru treats conservatives). These songs are defiant…and they get my blood pumping:
America totally kicks a$$.
1100am — Someone just let me know that Allahpundit from HotAir is in career-salvation mode…saying he’s been wrong and that Romney will win. Well, then what the heck was the point of Allahpundit freaking everyone out with fear porn for the last three months? He’s counting on people being so happy Romney’s won that they’ll just forget about he emotionally terrorized them every day with his Eeyorism and fear porn. I really hope you don’t let him get off the hook without professional consequences for deliberately freaking you out all this time just to drive up web traffic for HotAir.
Don’t let the people who’ve been yelling SHARK! all this time walk away from the beach without at least a severe burn for their actions…so that they will think twice about playing these games again.
Okay, a new show is on now on MSNBC…and it includes Chris Matthews. THIS is what I have been waiting to see…Mathews make an ass of himself and freak out on tee-vee.
There’s a Filipino woman in purple with a severe punk haircut talking…and she just said that “Romney is doing campaign events today and that shows he’s desperate because he should have ended his campaign last night”. Then they showed Michelle Obama being angry somewhere, saying “This is my husband’s last campaign”. It sure is. Thank God.
Chris Matthews looks like a prissy sissy in pink. I can say that because I’m a gay guy who sees a sissy and calls him out. Chris Matthews is saying that Mitt Romney looks pessimistic and looks like he is losing. What alternate dimension is HE seeing things from? Once again, MSNBC tells you the opposite of reality. Since it’s really OBAMA who looks desperate and sullen and accepting of his defeat…they instead say it’s Romney who looks like that.
Prissy Chrissy the Sissy is yelling now and saying that anyone who votes for Romney is stupid and anyone who votes for a third party is stupider, because we have two choices. Pick one.
I really think Chris is going to have a heart attack tonight. He’s already looking like he’s having palpitations.
There are three other people on the dais and I don’t know who any of them are.
Chris Matthews at 1108am CST just said that if Obama loses it is because of voter fraud and that Photo ID is wrong and that we should not have any checks on voting. We should make voting easier and anyone who wants to vote should be able to.
The Filipino woman says that “demographics are against the Republican party and whites are dying out and so Republicans will not be winning elections because we are becoming a majority minority country”. “There are not enough white men left in the country to win the presidency”.
This is wrong…because they are once again assuming that 2008 was “transformative” and was not a fad. I keep telling you this is where the disconnect is. The Ministry of Truth believes that 2008 was the year that minorities and college aged voters became the majority and that therefore Democrats will be in power forever.
In reality, Obama won because of two things:
1. Conservatives sat home in 2008
2. A lot of white people wanted to see a black president and felt good about helping Obama back then and giving him a chance; they were preconditioned to want a magical black person to be the president to solve all our problems.
Here in 2012, two things have happened:
A. Conservatives are crawling over broken glass to vote
B. White people are perfectly fine with firing Obama since he did not do the job he promised he’d do.
As for the demographic stuff, the reason the Left sees things like this is because they are an identity-based party while Republicans are an ideology-based party. So, Democrats believe if someone is gay, black, Hispanic, Jewish, a Muslim, a woman , etc. that they must vote Democrat. Whereas, Republicans believe anyone who believes in small government, free enterprise, and fiscal responsibility should vote Republican.
See the difference?
Now, which party is REALLY open to expansion in the future? The one that’s based solely on peoples’ identities (which can’t be changed) or how people think (which CAN be changed)?
The fact is that there is a HUGE demographics crunch coming for the LEFT and they know it…that’s why they needed to rush a lot of crazy stuff through right now. Conservatives are outbreeding the Left, with most lefties not having children (or aggressively aborting them). In a few years, conservatives (who are already the majority) will be an even bigger majority. The Left doesn’t want you to believe this.
But it’s true.
1116am CST — Dan Rather said Romney will win. Peggy Noonan is saying she saw some yard signs somewhere. She doesn’t remember where, but there were a lot of them. She thinks that might mean something but she can’t figure out what.
Honestly, who is this Filipino woman in purple? She is ANNOYING. It’s pure MiniTru propaganda. Like, if you filmed a version of 1984, this would be a woman who would be reading the “news” there.
Ben Smith is on now. He’s talking about Nate Silver and how he’s saying there is a 90% chance of Obama winning.
I want to tell a store about Ben Smith. He used to be at Politico but I think he was fired…and then he landed on BuzzFeed. In 2008, he quashed a story about Barack Obama and Michelle having Bill Ayers babysit their children. I was actually involved in that story. The McCain campaign here in Chicago got me to find a girl who used to teach the Obama girls swimming lessons…and she reported that Bill Ayers used to pick the girls up from lessons some time and bring them home. Ayers was authorized to do this. Ben Smith wouldn’t write about it unless he got the permission slip for Ayers to pick the girls up. We had two swim instructors who would go on record (under aliases) to say that Ayers was picking up the girls and babysitting them. But Smith knew the story would hurt Obama and so he would not write about it.
It was stunning.
1120am CST — the panel is saying that Nate Silver is right and there is no way Obama loses. The woman in purple just said, “There is a 100% chance of Nate Silver being right”. Another nasty woman, a Hispanic, is saying that “There’s no way Obama loses! Nate Silver is math. He is not wrong! Math is not wrong. This is science!”.
Not Purple Filipino woman is saying that “the Romney campaign is collapsing because Chris Christie did not go to an event last night”. A British guy said that “Romney is desperate because he is not on tee-vee right now. They are trying to turn this around and they are losing because they are doing events today.” He has a very hoity-toity accent, like a high school student who is doing a British accent for a bad version of an Agatha Christie play.
I actually have a friend who is traveling with Romney’s plane right now and he assures me that Romney will win.
The panel is saying “all candidates who lose have big crowds and pretend they have enthusiasm”. I really wish they’d tell us who these people are so I can get their names so you could see how stupid these people are.
1125pm CST —
The Hispanic woman is named Karen Finney. The British guy is Richard Wolfe, I think.
Karen was saying “Republicans are in major CYA mode and are going to have to justify this humiliating loss. They are blaming Chris Christie and Hurricane Sandy and they will never win the white house again because of demographics”.
They keep repeating the same lies.
1135pm CST — Ed Rendell is on.
This guy is fun. In 2008, I went on a tour of Philly gay bars with him during Hillary’s primary campaign. He was a big Hillary supporter.
MSNBC claims McCaskill will win in Missouri but I don’t think that’s true. It makes no sense that Missouri will go to Mitt but that people would vote split and keep ObamaClaire. They also claim that Elizabeth Warren will win in Massachusetts, but I don’t think that’s true either. Have you SEEN Scott Brown? Man, people will vote for him because he’s hot. There’s no way that women who voted for him last time leave him…and no way that guys who voted for him will defect to Warren. It’s stupid to think he loses.
That Karen Finney is nasty AND stupid. She just keeps saying, ‘I heard that Republicans don’t like working with anyone and they are the Tea Party and the Tea Party is racists”. Rendell is saying that Casey will win in Pennsyvlania. I think that Casey will lose the Senate seat. Pennsylvania is such a tease…but honestly if it will ever go to Republicans then it’s going to be this year.
Rendell is lying like a rug right now. He claims that “Black turnout will be bigger than 2008! They are angry that racists have been opposing Obama! They are angry at vote suppression! They are all turning out in bigger numbers than in 2008!”.
How is that possible?
Black turnout was the highest ever in 2008 when they were electing the first black president out of racism. Does Rendell really think people will believe that blacks are more motivated to re-elect Obama than they were to elect him in the first place? That’s just nonsense.
They keep showing shots of Romney’s plane at Hopkins International Airport in Cleveland. Biden’s plane, Air Force Two, just landed and is nearby. Both are doing events in Cleveland.
If Obama was going to win this, they’d be doing events in Charlotte, Tampa, or Richmond today. Not in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
And if Ohio, not Cleveland…which is Democrat turf. Romney is taking the fight to the Left and it’s Obama playing defense…but if you listen to MSNBC, it would seem the opposite. PURE PROPAGANDA!
Whoever this host is — the Filipino woman in purple — she just called the Republican candidates “a clown car with no wheels attached”.
Listen folks, this is not a news channel. Do you see that, right? This is the Democrats’ propaganda channel. This is alternate reality tee-vee just to entertain and comfort the Left. They’re spending a whole ten minute segment mocking Herman Cain and Rick Perry. It’s like watching a video of old people falling down stairs and breaking their hips…and lefties are laughing.
Actually here in Chicago there is a bar called Sidetrack that’s owned by Art Johnston, who is a gay activist here who introduces himself as “the Harvey Milk of Chicago” (what an ego!). At his bar, he plays a video of an elderly woman being raped by a large dog…and all the gay guys in the bar are encouraged to laugh and laugh as she calls for help while the dog mounts her with a canine erection. The Left thinks this is hilarious. I think it’s sick.
MSNBC is sick too. Meanspirited, grotesque, negative, hateful…that’s MSNBC and the Left.
1150am CST — OMG…Ben Smith is SO GAY!!! He has the voice of a twinky little go-go boy in Boystown. He lisps, he’s wearing a purple shirt…he is SO GAY! In ever knew that because I’d only seen that cartoon image of him on Politico, and have never heard him talk in real life. This is so funny to me. I never, ever knew he was gay too. But he’s a prissy gay.
I just figured out who the host is: Alex Wagner, she’s the Filipino Purple woman.
Now they are saying that “They would have won if they ran Jon Huntsman. That Huntsman is wonderful. Everyone would have voted for Tim Pawlenty and Jon Huntsman”. This is so weird.
Alex Wagner is saying “They haven’t called it yet, but the election is over and we all know that Obama won”. The British guy is saying “Next time they need a better candidate like Jon Huntsman. That’s the way they will win in 2020″.
It is going to be so much fun to see all of these people have a psychotic meltdown later. This Alex Wagner woman is a buffoon. The show is called NOWwithAlexWagner
12oopm — YUCK. Andrea Mitchell is next. She has Robert Gibbs and Haley Barbour.
Man, this is tough watching this stuff. But, I love you. We’re friends like that. I want to show you how stupid the Left is and how much they are lying so I am going to keep doing this transcript all day…but this is TOUGH. I’ve never seen such craziness before. It’s like that asylum BriarCliff Manor in the new season of American Horror Story on F/X, with absolutely insane people running the asylum.
I need a shower after watching this nastiness and stupidity.
How is this network even still on the air?
ANDREA MITCHELL REPORTS — 12oo noon to 1pm CST.
You know what’s weird?
Obama might have voted twice for himself.
Did anyone catch this?
MSNBC is reporting that he voted in Chicago today…but a few days ago I heard he voted early in Chicago. I saw a picture of him doing it, but I saw him voting again today wearing different clothes. What gives?
Can someone check into this for me?
Andrea has Chris Cillizza on and he’s saying that there’s no way Obama loses because “Ohio hates Romney”. Well, I’m from Ohio and that’s not true.
Mark Halperin from TIME is on and he says that ‘Romney couldn’t find a way to win Ohio’, so he will lose.
These guys are lying through their teeth and they know it.
The thing is, folks, I just don’t believe this is now a country that votes with the Left…and if Republicans can’t win an election this year, then Democrats would be in power forever. That’s just not true. If it was true, I would see that on the ground but i don’t see it. If this was true, then the wild hysteria and fad for hopeychange would have never gone away.
Minitru is really believing that all the people who were wild about Obama in 2008 still feel that way because the media still feels that way…but meanwhile Americans have moved on and turned on Obama.
Mark Halperin is saying “The Obama camp is smarter and they know they are going to win but the Romney camp is scared and stupid and so they will lose and be crying later. David Axlerod would not have bet shaving his mustache if he was not sure he would win, so Romney is losing and is a poopy-head”. I might not have gotten that down EXACTLY as he said it, but it was close.
Robert Gibbs is broadcasting from Chicago inside McCormick Place it looks like. This is the fortress-like convention center where Obama is holding his election eve party. IT IS A SMALL STAGE SETUP in what looks to be one of the smaller sections of the Convention Center. No frills, just blue curtains breaking up the room and a big red curtain behind Obama. I used to be an event planner and this is not the setup for people who think they will win.
Check this out: gays are saying to go “Rape A Ballot for Obama”:
Ryan Cox is a dairy futures trader here in Chicago. He’s one of the gay guys here in Boystown who think rape is HILARIOUS. And he’s a Sidetrack Regular, go figure.
Also, here’s a shot via WeaselZippers of the Cleveland Black Panthers.
Bob Shrum is on with Andrea Mitchell. How many elections has this guy lost as a campaign manager now? Gore. Kerry. A lot of Senate and congressional races. This is like having Susan Lucci talk about how people can win Emmys.
Andrea Mitchell is actually asking a few good questions here and there. But mostly she’s doing Minitru work. Now Shrum is saying that Jon Husted in Ohio is taking away the minorities’ votes and taking away students votes. He’s saying that if Obama loses it is because of voter fraud in Ohio. This is at 1228pm CST.
They’re talking about people needing ID to vote and how poor people don’t have ID so that no IDs can be shown. Let me tell you, anyone who needs EBT or welfare or other benefits needs an ID. People need IDs to get homeless benefits. It is not hard to get an iD and in Illinois if you can’t afford one you just have to file a homeless certification. AND IT IS FREE. Also, if you don’t know how to get an ID there are agencies that can help you with a case worker to fill out your forms. It is not a hard process.
IN FACT, here in Illinois I had to get a new ID this year because my passport and driver’s license expired while I was sick and in the hospital for a while earlier in the year. When I got better, I discovered that everything had expired and I had to get new IDs…and it took me under a week to complete the whole process. The charge was $20 for the state ID. That’s it. And in Chicago you need an ID to get into any building that’s government related and into any establishment that serves alcohol.
You need it to use a credit card most places too. IDs are not difficult to have, and life is impossible in Chicago without one.
1234pm CST — Peter Alexander is in Romney’s headquarters in Boston. Some woman I never heard of is at Obama’s election night party here in Chicago.
Is anyone listening to Rush today?
If you are, can you tell me what he is saying? I don’t have the ability to hear him on the radio right now and am curious what he’s up to. I’m watching MSNBC and I can’t stream both that and the radio at the same time.
********** They say the polls close at 630pm CST in Ohio *********
********** Indiana and Kentucky close polls at 530pm CST, so those look like the earliest ones ********
Peter Alexander’s in the Romney Victory Party space…and he reminds me of a ton of my ex-boyfriends. So funny. The Romney event space is large but not fancy-looking. The opposite of Obama’s Greek Columns stage in Denver four years ago, Alexander said.
The woman in pink at the Obama party in McCormick Place is not showing the size of the space. Obama is in Chicago making calls into Wisconsin to get people to vote. Whoever this woman reporting is, it looks like her makeup was done by a mortician. They purposefully did not pan around the room and show the size of the space…but they panned and showed the space in Boston. Why one and not the other? Was it because Romney’s was bigger? Always knew Obama was a size queen. That’s what they say at man’s country here.
WARNING: it’s 1246pm CST…just want to start reminding you not to panic when the Ministry of Truth starts pushing exit polls to scare you in a few hours. Start preparing yourself because these are all just lies. Do not fall for fear porn!
Well, they can just call of the election now. Richard Streetman’s got his magical CHANGE underwear on, so Obama’s “got this election”!
Too bad Obama’s been filling the glass with piss!
100pm CST — Andrea Mitchell’s show is over. They have a new show on now, a nasty woman name Tamron Hall….and she has a bunch of clowns on including a guy who looks like Lex Luthor. They all say “No change Romney wins!”.
112pm CST — Looks like Rush Limbaugh told his listeners about Obama’s McCormick Place Concession Speech event.
Rush has always been so nice to me and the site. He apparently joked again about when he first read HB he thought it was written by a bunch of women, and not a gay guy in Chicago and his friends. That’s still so funny to me. It’s also wild because when I was going to high school in Ohio in the 90s some of the guys in my home room used to listen to Rush on a little transistor radio in class and back then I was a Democrat and never understood the appeal…but now I think Rush is one of the coolest guys out there and is a national treasure. What a strange journey the last four years have been.
Glad he’s getting the word out on the Concession Speech because that is NOT the event they’d plan if they thought Obama was winning. No way.
This new show on MSNBC with Tamron Hall is just nasty. She’s so vile. She just keeps having people on who say that “Repblicans just can’t win the election because blacks and Hispanics and other minorities just won’t vote for Romney and there are not enough white people anymore to win an election for Republicans. So Romney has lost”.
Democrats see everything terms of race and expect all races to vote along racial lines…and for blacks to turn out in higher than 2008 numbers for Obama.
THAT is not going to happen!
Tamron also said that Paul Ryan was a bad choice for VP because people hate him..and that Romney didn’t use him correctly. What is she smoking?
145pm CST — PS…if the site is loading slow, it’s just that we are being overwhelmed. We’re working on fixing that, but we’re getting a lot of people trying to load things at once….and that tends to slow it down. We’re doing the best we can!
Man…I have to tell you…watching MSNBC is TOUGH. It really is like looking into BizarrWorld.
WHAT I HAVE LEARNED SO FAR TODAY WATCHING MSNBC:
Okay, after sitting through this craziness since 830 or so this morning, I have 5 things I have learned so far from watching MSNBC all day:
5. The Left believes that the majority of Americans have liked what Obama did the last four years and that they want to see more of this for four more years.
4. MSNBC pundits believe that anyone opposing Obama is just a racist.
3. Ironically, MSNBC pundits believe that a person’s race determines how they vote…and that Republicans will never win another election ever again because Hispanics and blacks will determine all elections for ever since 2008. But, you have to forget all about 2010. And the Scott Walker recall election. Etc.
2. The Left seems to know Obama is losing so every 15 minutes they run a story about voter fraud in Ohio “stealing” the election from him.
1. MSNBC thinks Nate Silver is a god and a temple should be built to his greatness since he is infallible and he can never be questioned. Burn the witches who don’t believe him!
200pm CST — THE CYCLE is the name of the show on MSNBC now.
They apparently have a woman named “Krystal Ball” on the show. That can’t be her real name. Sounds like an unimaginative drag queen.
Someone please tell me this is a joke.
215pm CST — I just got off the phone with my friend Andrea in Massachusetts.
Here’s the scoop on Massachusetts:
* Though Obama will win Mass, it will be closer than it’s ever been
* The only people upset with Scott Brown who voted for him last time are those who want him to be more conservative…so no way they vote for Warren over him.
* Tons more Brown signs and enthusiasm than for Warren.
* Warren spent a lot of money and had the money for signs…but people aren’t putting them up.
* Local unions made big push for Warren, Obama, and “the Kennedy kid” who is running against Sean Bielat for Barney Frank’s old Congressional district
* Looks like Brown will squeak out a win because people will split vote between Obama and Brown…but Romney supporters will all vote for Brown. Brown will get some Obama vote crossover.
230pm CST — MSNBC talking about Colorado, saying that “Latinos are the ones who decide elections and they have all the power now. Republicans hate Latinos and won’t make illegals citizens so Republicans will be punished”. This is fear porn…and it’s goal is to try to trick the GOP into agreeing to amnesty…but in reality just doing that would create more Democrat votes (so if you believe that republicans have lost Hispanics already, then why would you want to create more Democrat voters when it won’t do you any good?). So stupid!
I need a little breaking from listening to all this craziness.
310pm CST — this is Martin Bashir’s show. There is a very nasty woman on who is saying if Obama loses it is because of racism. She also says that when Obama loses Ohio it will be all voter fraud and voter suppression. She says that Romney will lose the white vote because the only people not voting for obama are racists. There’s an angry black man from Chicago who is also calling Romney a racist and saying that he made Obama look unAmerican and inhuman in the campaign. These guys are BITTER right now. They are getting angry. It’s sinking in that Obama is losing.
This guy says “Whiteness is a signifier of reality” and that whites think they are superior. This is the nastiest show I have ever seen. That one woman was Joan Walsh and the guy was Eric Dyson. He’s the guy form 2008 who has a wife who also goes on shows. I think they are both “reverends” like Jesse Jackson is a reverend.
Then the show went to commercial break by mocking Romney by showing him singing. He sings like me: off key, but he tries anyway. He’s a good sport but Bashir and the others mock him.
This was the nastiest and most race-oriented segment I saw on any show all day long.
Geesh. This channel is awful to watch!
320pm CST –It’s starting! That Facebook group “Being Liberal” is beginning to make excuses for Obama’s loss, saying “the election was stolen!”:
Man alive, this Martin Bashir show is tough to watch. It is a pure two-minute-hate like out of 1984. They are attacking Romney like he is Emannuel Goldberg over there. In the span of one segment they called Romney:
* Too rich
* Hates Hispanics
* Wants to enslave women
* Said his lies cost him the election
Note: they never say what he lied about, supposedly, just that he’s a liar. They also never give any examples for the other stuff, just that “everyone knows he’s evil!” or “we all know he’s crooked!”. It’s crazy. Bashir goads the others up there to say how much they hate Mitt Romney and they all gleefully oblige. It reminds me of high school girls picking on someone at a lunch table.
I think this is really telling: all day I have not heard a single person say why Obama should have a second term…only that Romney is the most evil person who ever lived and he must be destroyed.
None of these people have offered one good reason for voting FOR Obama…and instead just focused on attacking Romney. Doesn’t that tell you something about this race?
Whatever happened to Hope and Change? Are they keeping that with Oprah, hidden underground somewhere?
Panel: Annamarie Cox, Krystal Ball (that’s really her name?), and some other woman with Martin Bashir now at 333pm CST.
They are bashing Romney for being a Christian, and saying this is not a Christian country.
Okay…they keep saying how evil the “tea Party Zealots” are and how evil Republicans are.
I notice that Democrats always call their opponents evil…but Republicans just call their opponents wrong.
There’s so much nasty energy on the Left. That’s why they won’t win. America is not a nasty place, and all Democrats have shown people is nastiness this year. No plan for the future. No reason for a second term. Just hatred for the opponent.
I can’t believe this is actually taking up space on the air.
END OF TRANSCRIPT: I’m going to cut this segment off here and switch over to the ELECTION RESULTS THREAD NOW. Look for it at the very top of the site. That thread will include everything from 4pm CST through the Victory and Concession speeches.
I’ll keep updating this live throughout the day until 4pm CST when I will start a new thread for the actual results, so be sure to keep refreshing so you can see the latest! I will update every 30 minutes or so!
Dear Governor Romney,
Today Americans from coast to coast will vote to elect you the 45th President of the United States because we believe you are uniquely qualified to lead us in a time of great national crisis. You ran a positive and future-focused campaign that earned our respect and confidence — while always being plain-spoken and realistic with us about the difficulties this country has faced during four years lacking any sort of presidential leadership.
Thank you for stepping forward and answering the call to duty and agreeing to lead the free world in a tumultuous and chaotic moment in this country’s history. It was clearly not easy to put yourself and your family through this campaign, contending with all the nightmares the Ministry of Truth that is our national media threw at you. But, you always remained so upbeat, positive, and disciplined on the campaign trail…so much so that you remind me of being a kid in the 1980s and seeing Ronald Reagan comport himself this way, no matter what challenges he faced in office. When I watched on CSPAN as you and your lovely wife Anne took the stage in Pennsylvania the other day, I realized how wonderful it will soon be to have a First Family who not only loves each other immensely…but who loves this country even more than that.
You were not my first choice of a candidate in the Republican primaries…and I have to admit you weren’t even my fifth or sixth choice. I was once an “Anybody-But-Romney” guy because I didn’t know enough about you or the exemplary life you’ve led. I like when Mrs. Romney reminds Americans that you’ve never failed at anything you set out to do in life…and you sure earned my respect when I learned about all the businesses you turned around, including the Olympics you saved from ruin. I can’t remember the last time someone so completely changed my opinion of him, but when you delivered your speeches and asked for our votes I couldn’t help but realize in time that you made me a “Nobody-But-Romney” guy in the end…because there’s truly no one more qualified at this moment in time to be our President.
You are the right man, in the right year, in the exact moment in history you are needed. It’s almost spooky how much you are the remedy incarnate to solve all the problems that Barack Obama has caused with his special blend of narcissism and incompetence. What better successor to him than a humble and competent man who actually knows what he’s doing.
Thank you for selecting Congressman Paul Ryan to be your running mate and our next Vice President. The two of you not only will be a fantastic team, but you’ve elevated another great leader to national prominence and have hopefully set Mr. Ryan on a path towards becoming President himself someday (in 2020). Once again, you show the savvy you evidenced while at Bain Capital in grooming the next generation to carry on for you many years from now when your role is ultimately done and you’ve accomplished what you’ve promised. Few politicians ever plan so far in the future like this, so you’re off to a great start in securing a stable and well-planned future for our country.
Today I know that the Ministry of Truth is going to try to scare Republicans…and that even some in our own ranks are going to attempt to gin up all sorts of fear porn to depress and demoralize Romney supporters so that people don’t head out to vote. I want you to know that Americans are too smart to fall for any of this and will be coming out in droves to send you and Mr. Ryan to Washington where you’ll be put to work making the decisions that will get this country back on track. Nothing is going to stop Americans from making the change we need in leadership at his critical juncture in our history.
We waited four years to boot Barack Obama from office…but today we can proudly vote you INTO OFFICE instead.
Everyone I know is out doing something to elect you President today: they’re phone banking, canvassing, poll watching, providing visibility, participating in Project ORCA, driving people to polls, and calling everyone they know to make sure they voted to elect you President. I’ve never seen anything like it before in my life. People who used to wear labels of “Republican”, “Independent”, “Libertarian”, “former Democrat”, or even “Democrat” are all “Romney Guys” (and Gals) today. We all know that you’ll bring the very best talent this country has to offer to Washington too, and many of us who love and support Governor Sarah Palin and Congressman Allen West hope they, too, end up being asked to serve in your Cabinet. We’re not just electing you and Mr. Ryan to office today, but we also know that we’ll soon see a Dream Team of the best and brightest Americans who will join you in fixing what’s wrong with Washington and repairing the damage of the last four years. Your administration will be a Justice League of patriots who will undo everything bad that’s happened in the last four years.
I hope every American thanks you in advance for what you’re about to do for all of us…and that we all appreciate the sacrifices you and your family made in stepping up and agreeing to serve. I know that you have a servant’s heart and are a good and humble man but I want you to know just how much you won over all of us who once opposed you. Today you will become our President-Elect…and I’m overjoyed that in just a few short months you’ll be our new President. I hope one day to shake your hand and thank you in person for all you are doing for the country (and to apologize for never taking the time to learn more about you in the past and see what you could offer America as our president). Please know that from Day One I will dedicate my personal efforts to helping you and your administration succeed in all you do…because I know you will forever have America’s best interests at heart.
God Bless you Governor, for your service…and THANK YOU for running a clean and uplifting campaign that made everyone believe in American exceptionalism and our shared potential for greatness again. Today is the day America hires its Comeback Team and we’re all so eager for you to lead us into a much better tomorrow.
Proud Romney Voter!
Ten Crazy and/or Stupid Things Reporters Really Believe (that will make election night a nightmare for them!)
Tomorrow night, much will be made of how wrong the Ministry of Truth that is our national media got this election. It’s not going to be close — and Romney will win BIG across the board, picking up a number of normally “Democrat states” too — but if you only get your news from Minitru then you might be afraid today that Obama really could pull off a miracle here. The man who promised to lower the seas and patch the hole in the ozone can’t actually work miracles (as the people of New York and New Jersey are acutely aware today), and can’t do much else right either. People have noticed and are voting him out of office due to both his incompetence and the massive letdown they experienced in the last four years when the man who promised “Hope and Change” only delivered Chaos and Ineptitude.
The hacks and Obama cultists who comprise Minitru so desperately want Barack Obama to be reelected that they’re publishing fan faction in once-reputable papers and outright lying to viewers on the tee-vee. This election will be the end of Minitru’s last remaining credibility…with anger actually coming from all sides, since lefties will be furious that things turned out nothing like Nate Silver, in particular, repeatedly assured them. The Left is going to eat its own in the coming months and a lot of heads will roll. I personally don’t think MSNBC will even exist by the time of the next presidential election because its viewers will be so furious that no one on that propaganda channel warned them this would happen. Already we’ve seen the complete and total disappearance of Oprah Winfrey from the face of the Earth, still smarting from the blowback she received from her former viewers who hold her partly accountable for Obama’s election in the first place. Chris Matthews and Rachel Maddow will see their own fans turn on them soon, with a great many Hollywood stars such as Eva Longoria and Beyonce paying a high price in years ahead for being so closely associated with the Obamas.
Like any Hollywood fantasy, there was a definite script in this year’s election coverage that Minitru’s membership followed aggressively to push a notion that “Obama can’t lose!”. This lunacy was based on Ten Crazy and/or Stupid Things that reporters actually convinced themselves were true…since believing in them made Obama’s re-election real in their dreams despite all evidence on the ground to the contrary:
10. Anyone voting against Barack Obama is just racist. It’s shocking, but I’d say that almost everyone working in the national media really believes that Barack Obama is so wonderful that the only way anyone could disagree with him is if that person is a racist. Widespread resistance to Obama is, of course, based on racism in their minds. The net effect of this is that Obama has been treated as a pharaoh, not an elected president, with the Ministry of Truth believing he is infallible and must never be questioned. His critics, thus, were maligned as racists…because racism is the only explanation in Mintru for anyone opposing someone as magical as THE PHARAOH. As stupid as this is to those of us who were never under the hopeychange spell, Minitru’s operatives actually believe this bunk.
9. People really want and need the government to tell them what to do. I think almost everyone working in the national media believes this and would like to see this country be a dictatorship of sorts, as long as Democrats were the dictators. They all learned to love the government while in college and grad school because they had far-Left professors who showed approval only to those students who embraced the Left’s ideology. To get that A+, these men and women had to pledge allegiance to the government and vow to help it force its will on all the stupid people out there who didn’t go to Ivy League schools or know what was best for them. For decades, journalism schools have been churning out people who really believe in this stuff…and the end result is the Ministry of Truth we have today.

On November 6th, 2012 Mitt Romney will win the presidential election and become the 45th President of the United States. But, that won’t be the day that Barack Obama lost his reelection bid. That actually happened much sooner, but it’s a matter of opinion as to when Bathhouse Barry became an inevitable one-and-done loser.
Here are five important dates in the Obama Regime’s annals that each, on their own, cost Obama the election:
5. December 24th, 2009 — the night Democrats pushed Obamacare through the Senate without reading the bill. After dark, behind closed doors, every Democrat in the Senate voted to ram Obamacare through on CHRISTMAS EVE while most of the country was too busy with holiday celebrations to pay much attention. Even people believed to have been moderate and competent — like former Senator Evan Bayh — admitted to shoving Obamacare through the Senate without ever reading the bill or understanding what, exactly, it would do to the economy. Bayh’s political career was ruined by this unctuous vote…as was the career of Ben Nelson of Nebraska (who, to this day, is booed whenever he walks into a restaurant or donut shop, with people yelling “Whore!” and “Slut!” at him for trading promises of pork for his vote in favor of Obamacare). Despite millions of Americans warning Democrats to move slowly and carefully and to put job creation ahead of any designs on nationalizing the healthcare system, Barack Obama and his enablers Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi pushed forward…and alienated the public. The Democrat Party’s brand has never recovered because people realized all the “Hopeychange” promises of “changing how Washington worked” were bunk. I think this is the day the Obama fad came to a crashing end…and on Christmas Day as families gathered for service and meals they talked about how horrified they were by the steaming lump of, uh, coal that Democrats left in their stockings the night before.
4. March 21st, 2010 — the day Nancy Pelosi strode triumphantly across the Capitol grounds with a giant gavel in hand, declaring victory by passing Obamacare in the House. Do you remember how angry people were when they saw the picture of Nancy Pelosi with her gavel, flanked by lovebirds Steny Hoyer and John Lewis, as they strolled across the Capitol grounds triumphantly on their way to ramming Obamacare through the House? Yet again, none of the Democrats voting for this monstrosity understood the bill or had even read it. Not even Dennis Kucinich! Democrats defied the will of the public that day, while the Ministry of Truth that is our national media cheered wildly. I think whoever wasn’t alienated by what the Senate did on Christmas Eve became livid at this point. Pelosi’s behavior this day really accounts for about 30% of the shellacking that Democrats would later receive in the 2010 midterm elections. I hope one day someone explains this to her in a way that she understands it…but that photo op of hers where she’s laughing like a rabid hyena en route to tank our economy is never going to disappear and will be used against Democrats for generations. This day proved to voters that they just couldn’t trust the Democrat brand and that it was dangerous to keep Democrats in power.
3. July 13th, 2012 — The “You didn’t build that, somebody else made that happen” comment Barack Obama made in Roanoke, Virginia. I think it’s poetic that any lingering support Obama may have had from people connected in any way to a small business vanished into thin air in ROANOKE…though it’s certainly no mystery WHY that happened. Just watch the video below. Since most Americans are employed by small businesses and know those companies are owned by people who really did build their businesses themselves, it’s no wonder that people decided the only way to get the economy back on track is to fire Obama and hire a businessman who actually knows what he’s doing.
2. September 12th, 2012 — We still don’t know exactly what happened in Benghazi, Libya…but it’s clear that Barack Obama keeps lying…and then lying about lying…and then lying some more. I think after the election, but before Romney assumes the office of President, that Hillary Clinton and her allies will make sure the truth about Libya comes out completely. Hillary can’t do that now, because she’d be blamed for tanking his reelection and that would hurt her with blacks when she makes her 2016 run. But, after Obama’s already lost the race you should expect to see a mysterious drop of documents that prove Barack Obama sat there and watched the Benghazi compound under attack and he specifically commanded air support to NOT fire upon the Muslims overrunning the consulate. Maybe Hillary will use Wikileaks or some other clandestine means to get the information out there, but it won’t have her fingerprints on it. No conservative writers seem to understand this but on November 7th the Democrats’ Civil War begins in earnest…between the factions of the Clinton Restoration and the Obama Remnant. Hillary will attempt to oust the Obama acolytes from the party so she can rebuild the brand in the mold of the Democrat Leadership Council (the DLC, but not the kind of “DLC” that Barack Obama is familiar with). What better way to do this than to release everything she has on Obama after the election so that everyone will know what a liar Barack Obama is (and politically blacks won’t be angry at learning this, because he’d have already lost the race at that point).
1. October 3rd, 2012 — The First Presidential Debate, in Denver Colorado. For the first time in history, a President of the United States showed up to a debate high as a junkie (or possibly suffering from extreme withdrawal). It’s anyone’s guess what Obama was on that night, but he was clearly coked out of his mind or hopped up on medications to take him off cocaine. My best guess is that Valerie Jarrett, whose role it was in the White House to supervise Bathhouse Barry’s drug use and to also serve as a gatekeeper and chaperone for his male sexual partners, messed up the prescriptions by not factoring Denver’s altitude in their effects. Obama was likely on Adderall, amphetamines, Oxycontin, Dexedrine, and Ultram. A cocktail of all these would be required for Obama to function for 90 minutes without a TelePrompTer while he was in withdrawal from his usual snorts of cocaine. If you ever wonder why Obama has to be sequestered away so often…and needs to many “golf outings”…it’s because the 44th President of the United States is a junkie. Valerie Jarrett serves the role in his life that Colonel Tom Parker played for Elvis…and while the latter allowed his charge to overdose on a toilet, Jarrett let Bathhouse Barry make a complete fool of himself on live television in Denver on October 3rd, 2012.
I’ve never thought Obama had a shot at reelection since the Senate forced through Obamacare…but I think most of you will at least agree that the race ended for him with his bizarre and bewildered performance in Denver. The Ministry of Truth that is our national media kept trying to rescue him…and they’d repeatedly intervene to distract Americans from just how bad a job Obama has done as president…but no amount of lies and obfuscation by Mintru could convince Americans that Barack Obama really is a sweating, bumbling, strung-out, junkie pretender and that all the “hopeychange” propaganda about him being a “Lightbringer” was just nonsense.
Nothing has ever been the same for Obama since Denver, and that’s a great thing for the country.
I’d love to hear other dates you might suggest for when YOU think Barack Obama really lost this election. I’ll add one more to the list above myself, because it’s a very personal one for me: May 31st, 2008.
For those who don’t know, that was the day the Democrats’ rules and bylaws committee meeting was held at the Marriott Hotel near the National Zoo in Washington. At that meeting, Donna Brazile and Howard Dean presided over a travesty that yanked hard-won delegates from Hillary Clinton in Michigan and Florida and handed them over to Barack Obama so that he could be pushed towards the nomination like Brazile and Dean wanted. On that day, millions of Democrats renounced the party forever…including myself.
It was on May 31st, 2008 when I decided it would be my life’s mission to ensure that Bathhouse Barry didn’t win re-election and that Democrats would suffer consequences for how they treated Hillary and her supporters in the 2008 race. It became my goal that day to do anything I could think of to bring down the Democrat Party…and from that point forward I have delighted in undermining the Obama Regime with ridicule and revelations ever since.
I like to think that all of you reading this played a role in preventing Obama’s re-election…and if not for May 31st, 2008 and the outrage that happened there we may never have been friends like that.
Tomorrow Mitt Romney wins the election and renders Bathhouse Barry a sorry, one-termer like Jimmy Carter before him. It will be a fantastic day…but it won’t be the real day Obama lost the race. That happened a long time ago, despite what Minitru will tell you.
When do YOU think Obama really lost his chance at re-election?
[ Click above to embiggen: November 6th, 2012 will so totally be honey-baked-ham-worthy! ]
Two weeks ago I ran an article with some tips and food ideas for Election Night in case you wanted to do something special that centered around a Romney/Ryan theme: you can find that HERE, including some recipes that are fun to make for foods that have a Wisconsin, Michigan, Utah, and Massachusetts feel (celebrating the states that have been important to Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan through the years).
Today I’m going to do the shopping and prep work for our own Election Night Watch Party here at Buzzquarters…so I thought I’d let you know what I’m making in case you wanted to do anything special too. I really get a kick out of bringing things in on a tight budget, so I’m not doing anything extravagant…though I am treated Justin, my friends, and myself to a honey-baked ham. As noted in the other post with the detailed food items from those various states, the ham makes me think of Utah because of the honey (Utah being the beehive state) but a honey-baked ham just also seems like something the Romneys and Ryans would have at a family event…and it makes me think of special occasions when I was a kid, because it was always a big deal to get one of these. As an adult, I reserve these honey-baked hams for only the most special of occasions…and if something is going to be epic and great, I call it “ham-worthy”.
Tomorrow night is most definitely ham-worthy, because Mitt Romney will be elected our 45th President and our four years of ObamaNightmare will be over. If that is not cause for the most special of celebrations, then I don’t know what is.
I’m going to make Mormon “funeral potatoes” to go with the ham, using a mix of red potatoes, Yukon gold, and purple potatoes that I already have…so it’s a red, white, and blue thing. You can find all these kinds of potatoes at your grocery store…and the purple ones are often included in a little medley of potatoes that’s around $4/bag. I mix the fancier ones in with the red ones that are a little cheaper and I get just the right colorful effect for a good price.
I am lucky enough to have a friend who sent me two cases of Vernors ginger ale, so that’s what I’ll be drinking tomorrow night as I don’t imbibe alcohol (which makes me more like Mitt Romney than I’d ever have imagined I’d be four years ago when I was so resistant to him being our 2012 nominee)…but Justin drinks beer so I got him a bunch of Leinenkugel, which is a beer from Wisconsin. Vernors is a very Michigan thing to drink…and I’m hoping that mitten-shaped state stuns the world by voting Republican this time (it’s a real long shot…but if it could ever happen, this would be the year for it).
I know a lot of people will be drinking champagne tomorrow…but I’d like you to think about trying something else that’s cheaper, tastes better, and is fun to make with your family. For something bubbly and nonalcoholic that’s not Vernors, you can buy club soda (super cheap…like 89-cents a 2-liter) or seltzer water (a little more expensive, but around a dollar-something) and your favorite kind of fruit juice and make a champagne-like mock cocktail (a mocktail) to enjoy the way you would champagne. I’d actually splurge and buy the canned nectars you sometimes find in the ethnic foods aisle of your supermarket or the juice and soda aisle of a Whole Foods: there’s peach nectar, guava, mango, passion fruit, watermelon, etc. I don’t remember the brand but they are in soda pop size cans but they are super-sweet fruit nectar drinks. Just pour a little of that juice in a glass…and then top the rest off with the club soda or seltzer. Alternatively, you can also take a pitcher and pour the juice in and then add the club soda to make a larger batch all at once; doing it this way means you can really stir it up well. But you have to drink it all pretty quickly or the bubbles will go flat so it’s not something you can make far ahead a time. I like making each drink to order…and I also kind of like the juice on the bottom because it makes that last sip sweet and surprising.
If you don’t have time to run out to the store to get anything special, look in your cupboards for peanut butter…because Anne Romney keeps saying on the campaign trail that Mitt puts peanut butter on everything. It appears our next president loves peanut butter in the way that President Reagan loved jelly beans. I think I might splurge and pickup some Reese’s peanut butter cups as a super special treat for Justin when I’m at the store. Just be careful if you buy these too because you’d be stunned at how many calories are in these things (just one cup is equal to about an hour on the treadmill in the gym…so keep that in mind if you’re indulging). I really want to celebrate tomorrow night, but I also don’t want to pay for it for a long time (like we are the Golden Age of Hope and Change).
Another great Romney-type thing to do is to go to Costco or wherever and get some rotisserie chickens and have those tomorrow night if you don’t want a honey ham. Anne Romney was on a tee-vee special where she talked about how much she loves getting those chickens for the family get-togethers the Romneys have. Won’t it be wonderful come January when peanut butter and honey sandwiches and simple rotisserie chicken will be served in the White House instead of Wagyu beef and lobster every night the way the Obamas lived on YOUR tax dollars for the last four years?
I never expected to like the Romneys as much as I do, but if I had to pinpoint exactly when I fell in love with this family it has to be during the Republican Convention when Craig Romney (the youngest) talked about his family and told the story about his dad Mitt in the kitchen fixing a light on the stove. He didn’t want to go out and buy an expensive bulb that was required for that model, so he just used a bulb he had already…but it was too bright. He then MacGyvered a shade for the bulb by taping a piece of cardboard a certain way so it blunted the glare. Problem solved!
I love that story because that’s the sort of thing I do all the time myself. I almost never have the things that something requires, exactly, so I just use what we have and make it work. Justin and I are always fixing things with duct tape or reusing stuff in inventive ways. There are these Crystal Lite lemonade and ice tea drinks I like to make in pitchers for the fridge and they come in these clear plastic tubes…and instead of throwing those away I use them at my desk to keep my pens, markers, paper clips, thumb drives, etc. organized. I think that’s something the Romneys would do too, instead of buying some expensive desk organizing set. The Obamas, of course, would have only gold-plated and ivory-encrusted finery. I will be glad to see things back to normal at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue soon!
I plan on spending all day tomorrow here on HB, doing a running livestream transcript of election day for the historical record. I’ll do it just like I do for the debates or other live events…and will keep updating as the day progresses. I’m going to be watching MSNBC for coverage…for the sole purpose of watching these people’s heads explode. It is the only instance you will ever see me recommend watching MSNBC. But, I need to see Chris Matthews and Rachel Maddow have their public emotional breakdowns as it becomes clear that Barack Obama is losing BIG.
I hope you join us for the fun…and hope you share with us what you are doing tomorrow night for the election results. I feel like we’ve been through a lot together through the years and that tomorrow night we’ll turn a page and be able to start hoping and planning an Obama-free future that’s long deserved.
What are you doing tomorrow night to watch the election results?
Please Be Charitable to the Leftists on Tuesday When Obama Loses – do not taunt them or rub salt in their wounds (no matter how tempted you may be)
I would like to take a moment to ask you to please be charitable in the days ahead…but especially on Tuesday…while dealing with Obama cultists and all those on the Left when Barack Obama loses his reelection bid.
The Left will lash out with anger…and will generally behave like vampires doused in Holy Water, tossed out on their bare butts into the blazing sun, and then rolled around in pits of garlic and evaporated angels’ tears.
It will be tempting to taunt these people while they’re in their misery, but you have more class than that.
When I was growing up in Cleveland, the nuns who taught me in school always reminded us to be good sports at the end of any competition. If we lost, we were told to hold our heads up high and be proud of the fact that we brought our best to the field and were beaten by someone more talented and cunning than we were that day (but this should motivate us to raise our game for next time). When we’d win, the nuns encouraged us to celebrate the thrill of the competition and to be grateful we had such challenging opponents who brought the best out in us.
If I’m competing against someone for anything, I fully intend to beat that person and don’t ever hold back. I’ve never let anyone win anything…so a victory over me is always hard-won and well-fought. The more important something is to me, the more I will bring to the match…and in the end one shall stand and one shall fall. I have no intention of ever being the one who takes that fall, so if someone bests me at something then that person honestly deserved to win and I have to marvel at their cleverness, skill, or even luck. When I defeat an opponent and it’s clear that I’ve won, I do my level best to extend my hand in friendship to the person with a smile for a contest vigorously fought…especially if it challenged me in some ways. Oddly enough, a lot of my best friends started off as opponents or even enemies…but only because I remember what the nuns taught me and have never let crowns of laurels go to my head (or even be placed there).
On Tuesday, Democrats will suffer what to many of them will be a shocking and soul-crushing loss. A great many of them have been believing the lies told by the Ministry of Truth and have listened to that guy Nate Silver, who consistently spread the apocryphal notion that Barack Obama’s reelection was inevitable and that Americans wanted this country to keep moving to the Left and be transformed into a socialist paradise. If you are someone who has been listening to the nonstop propaganda churned out by MSNBC, the New York Times, and other Minitru mouthpieces then you will be in full meltdown mode come Tuesday night.
While I very much will enjoy my Schadenfreude (vintage 2012) as I watch the results roll in…and I am purposefully going to watch MSNBC for the first time in four years just to see the pundits and talking heads there collapse into puddles of tears…I’m not going to entertain any notion of taunting the lefties in my life who will be apoplectic beginning around 9pm EST as the results make it clear that Mitt Romney is now our President-Elect.
I am going to call Pat Schipp up at the National Enquirer and tell her how stupid she is — because on September 20th at around 130am she had called me on the telephone to be nasty to me and she claimed that “all the polls have Obama ahead and he can’t lose”…and then she said some disparaging things to me that I think deserve a rebuttal on Election Night. I am very much looking forward to this call, because Pat Shipp is stupid and deserves to be told just that when Mitt Romney wins BIG.
I am very tempted to phone up two ex-boyfriends of mine — Harvey and Jacobi — who are big Obama cultists and who have been very nasty to me since 2008, when they sided with Obama while I supported Hillary Clinton for the Democrat nomination. These guys ratcheted up the hatred and nastiness against me after I left the Democrat Party and supported McCain/Palin in the general election…and I very much want to mock them when Barack Obama loses and his regime collapses around him.
But, I’m just not going to do that. This is a Class versus Crass moment…and Sisters Francis Borgia, Mary Howard, Marie Therese, Lucille Immaculata, Barbara Jean, and others would not approve of gloating or tormenting my idiot ex-boyfriends. Come to think of it, they probably wouldn’t approve of my having boyfriends in the first place, but it is what it is.
We’re about to have classy people move back into the White House for the first time in four years. Classy people will be living in the Naval Observatory too. Let’s all stay classy ourselves and not engage in any taunting…not even to horrible ex-boyfriends.
I firmly believe in defeating the Left completely and obliterating the Democrat Party as we now know it so that never in our lifetimes do we have to go through something like the last four years again. Beginning November 7th, the factions of the Clinton Restoration and the Obama Remnant will jockey for control of the Democrat Party…and it will be four years of battle as the Left attempts to cling to power. I hope the moderates and centrists win and that the Obama cult is permanently discredited and disbanded, never to emerge again…with the lunatic Leftists locked away in the cellar beneath the DNC for another 30 or 40 years.
But, I’m not going to be unkind to the foolish people I know who believed that Barack Obama was a magical black man who had descended from Olympus to solve all their problems. They sure were stupid to think that, but yelling “I Told You So!” at them is just not my style. I was raised better than that…and was taught better manners by the ninja nuns who trained me to be fearless and unwavering in combat…but kind and humble in victory.
I just want you to think about this.
And ask you not to join in on any nastiness that will happen in a lot of places while people celebrate Obama’s defeat.
Every day is a choice in who we want to be as people…and I like choosing to be the battle-scarred and unrelenting competitor who brings his best to every match…but who reaches down and pulls up the loser and tells him we can go forward now as friends, since the struggle is over and the battle’s done.
If that dummy decides he wants to fight some more, I am all for it…and I’ll just kick his butt again and again and again for as long as it takes for the fool to give up whatever ghost is driving him to pursue that Leftist transformation of the country I love.
But, I would much rather he saw how stupid he was in 2008 and now realized that, yes, it’s a great thing that we’re not in fact getting four more years of terrible that we all have to suffer through.
Something to think about, as I said.
Final 2012 Election Predictions: Romney wins White House, GOP keeps House, and Republicans take Senate. 100% chance that Nate Silver’s career collapses into ruin.
Since today is Saturday before the election and I think voters are mostly committed to what they are going to do next Tuesday, I think it’s time to lock in my personal expectations for what’s going to happen as we conclude the 2012 election season. As of sometime around 9pm CST, Mitt Romney will be declared our 45th President in what will become a commanding lead of 322 to 216 electoral votes. Republicans will hold the House and expand their majority there by a few seats…but I think that will be a gain of around 3+ or so; in thinking about the span of time from 2010 to 2012, I think voters are as-angry or a-little-more-angry than they were at Democrats since the midterm elections so I believe the House will be more or less where it is now and any changes that happen will be to the Republicans’ advantage. The Senate will also fall securely into GOP hands, but I’ll get into those numbers below.
It will be interesting for me to see how close my results come to what actually happens on Tuesday because I 100% believe all of the polls are being manipulated purposefully by pollsters to give Barack Obama a psychological advantage in this election. I directly accuse almost everyone involved in polling of rolling the dice with their reputations because these people honestly want to do anything they can to allow Barack Obama an advantage…and so they are willing to risk the destruction of their reputations to push him over the finish line if they can. Since this is the first time in American political history when they’ve ever done anything like this, I think that a lot of people have not picked up on the fact that there is not a single reputable polling outfit left. On top of that, I also believe that a great number of Americans out there are purposefully lying to pollsters to make them look bad on November 6th…as punishment to the national media for being such a Ministry of Truth for the last four years and churning out nonstop pro-Obama propaganda.
Because I believe the talking heads will melt on the screen come Election Night because none of the results coming in will match the polls the Left relied on for their mental health in the last days of this campaign, I intend to watch MSNBC all day next Tuesday because I want to document in real time the implosion of the Ministry of Truth. This is the only time in my life that I will ever say this, so mark it in the history books, but I encourage all of you to watch MSNBC if you can on November 6th because decades from now you will want to describe to your progeny how unhinged the Left became on live tee-vee as the Obama Regime came to an abrupt end. This would be like you being able to tell someone in the future that you were there when Mount Vesuvius erupted and leveled Pompeii…and you had time-traveled back to sit in a lounge chair and sip chianti while you watched it all happen LIVE.
Before I get into the breakdown of what I think is going to happen I want to talk about why my prediction is so different from what you are probably seeing on other conservative sites (and is, of course, the polar opposite of what Nate Silver is saying). Frankly, I’ve devoted the last five years of my life to American politics and it has been quite and education. In that time, I’ve observed three constants in play during the 2008, 2010, and 2012 elections that I think need to be considered when scrying into the future to determine what’s going to happen in a race:
(1) Almost everything the media tells you is a lie designed to help Democrats and there really is a de facto Ministry of Truth that serves the Left on the tee-vee, over the radio, and in newspapers.
(2) Conservative websites are pessimistic places run by straight males who are deathly afraid of being mocked if they’re wrong about predicting a Republican win…but are never concerned about being called out for saying that a Republican will lose (since conservatives are so happy the Republican wins in those instances that euphoria-induced amnesia means there’s no downside for a conservative writer to lowball a prediction). I think this is crucial in the 2012 race because I still see conservative writers freaking out their readerships by claiming “Obama’s going to win Ohio!” when that, to me, would be like saying “Obama’s going to lose Massachusetts!”. Neither of those things are going to happen, but it carries almost no negative consequence for a conservative writer to scare his readers by insisting Romney will lose Ohio…since when Romney wins his readers will be too thrilled by the win to ever remember how much that guy freaked them out in the lead up to the election. Conservatives are very kind and forgiving people by nature…and so conservative writers play with their emotions to generate web traffic, counting on there never being any professional consequences for doing this. I really hope you’ve learned some lessons from all the “fear porn” churned out this election at various conservative sites and will ask questions starting November 7th about why any of these guys decided to freak you out over Ohio needlessly.
(3) The Tea Party is real, it exists, it never went anywhere, and is more fired up than ever. This is something that almost no one writes about because Tea Party Americans are not holding rallies every day anymore…because they are too busy doing actual work behind the scenes to win this election. The Ministry of Truth (Minitru, for short) tried pretending the Tea Party was just an astroturf, manufactured outfit like Occupy Wall Street was for Democrats…but they are dead wrong. The purpose of the Tea Party rallies was to recruit Tea Party Americans into action. Once Tea Party groups were staffed up, they began working hard and no longer needed recruitment drives. This is how a real political movement operates…and how results are won. All predictions that Minitru makes of an Obama win or a close election are based on the Tea Party having disappeared and of Americans actually liking Obama more in 2012 than they did in 2008, which is madness.
(4) The biggest reason Obama won in 2008 was because Americans got sucked up into the biggest fad ever to hit the country in many years. I am talking about a fad along the lines of the Cabbage Patch Kids, pet rocks, neon friendship bracelets, McRibs, New Kids on the Block, Beanie Babies, etc. Combine the fact that Americans wanted to be part of “hopeychange” with the fact that many saw Barack Obama as the sort of “magical black man” character that Will Smith always plays in movies and you will understand that Obama won election because a great many white people thought he was the “magical black man” who’d come to save them (like in the movies!) and they wanted to be part of “making history” when that happened (alongside all others sucked into the fad). Minitru keeps trying to believe that instead of all this emotion that Americans actually decided with their thinking brains that they wanted to take the country to the Left and transform it into something radically different than has existed for the last 235-odd years. That’s madness. 2008 was not a “transformational election” but a massive fad that hit the country like a hurricane…and for the last four years we’ve been cleaning up the damages. Every poll, news article, or analysis of this election is flawed because it’s based on the conceit that voters choice Obama because they liked what he would do to the country…instead of the reality that people had no clue what Obama would really do and instead just wanted the magical black man that the media loved so much to have a chance to dazzle them. When Obama not only failed to dazzle, but actively harmed the country, Americans decided he had to go.
Though Mitt Romney will win this election (decidedly…and it won’t even be close) on November 6th, 2012 I think that Barack Obama actually lost his bid for reelection on May 21st, 2010 — which was the day that Nancy Pelosi rammed Obamacare through the House (without any Democrats even reading the bill) over the objections of Americans who resented Democrats abusing their power in this way. An argument could be made that Obama actually lost reelection on December 24th, 2009 because that’s the day the Senate rammed Obamacare through in a partisan vote with no Democrat Senators ever reading the bill either…but I’m going with the House vote date for when Obama lost because few paid much attention to the Senate’s Christmas Eve machinations since Democrats timed the vote to happen during the holidays so they could get away with it.
That House vote, however, seared Obamacare into people’s minds and made Americans realize the only way to get rid of it was to get rid of Obama the first chance they had. The 2010 elections were, thus, a warmup…and the first opportunity that Americans had to boot Obama’s allies from power. I maintain to this day that Harry Reid would have lost his Senate seat if Sharon Angle had been a better candidate against him…but this only proves that voters WANT to get rid of bad Democrats but require a decent Republican alternative to do so.
Clearly, Mitt Romney has proven to be an alternative to Barack Obama that Americans view as a remedy to everything they haven’t liked in the last few years. Minitru keeps telling you that “it’s almost impossible to unseat an incumbent!” but in reality it’s that an incumbent president only loses reelection when the challenger presents himself as a stark and acceptable REMEDY to the incumbent…and that’s the very definition of Mitt Romney.
Just so we are clear, I mocked Mitt Romney for four years and tried everything I could to stop him from being the Republican nominee…and in all that time I never found a line of attack on the guy that would stick. I also never discovered any dirt on the man…and boy did I try. I never wrote about all the many hours I wasted chasing leads in attempts to find anything despicable the man has ever done…because I turned up empty every time. Mitt Romney is a great guy and will make an excellent president. Americans who are so fatigued with having an enigma like Obama whose past is cloaked in surreal mysteries will be overjoyed to have in office a man with nothing to hide and no skeletons in his closet. I dare say that Mitt Romney might just be the most decent human begin to ever become president…with the unique qualifications to lead the country out of an economic depression and back towards solvency. The guy who turned around the Olympics and saved Salt Lake will do the same thing to the country from Washington…and I look forward to the day when I can shake his hand and thank him for agreeing to serve and save the day.
I don’t think the polls or other conservative writers are picking up on just how exhausted Americans are with the nonstop outrages and bizarre mysteries of Barack Obama and the Leftist gang of Chicago thugs who went to Washington with him back in 2008. On a very personal note, the way I feel right now is EXACTLY the way I felt when I was in a bad relationship with a really terrible guy named Harvey and I had finally made the decision to break us up and move on with my life. I wanted the weirdness to end. I was sick of wondering what stupid or crazy thing would happen tomorrow. It was time to remove all of Harvey’s awful relatives and terrible friends from my orbit. I just reached the point where I wanted Harvey out of my life so that I could move on.
I think that nationwide Americans are desperate to breakup with Barack Obama and Mitt Romney is our valiant rebound guy who we can enthusiastically rush towards.
At this point, the only people who will be voting for Barack Obama will be:
(A) Confirmed Leftists whose only gripe is that they wish Obama had done more Leftist things in his term
(B) People who just like having a black president because they vote on skin color
(C) People who will vote for any Democrat no matter who that person is
I don’t think A+B+C is enough for a Democrat to win a national election, ever.
If it was, then Nancy Pelosi would still be Speaker of the House and the 2010 midterms would have looked exactly like the 2008 election. No matter how much Minitru will try to claim this, the United States is not a Leftist country. It is a center-right country and most states do not default-vote Democrat.
On Tuesday, you will see the Democrats’ safe states shrink to the smallest number since Ronald Reagan, largely because Mitt Romney appeals to Midwesterners very much like Reagan (perhaps even more so because Romney was a businessman, not an actor, so no one is worried about Romney being able to handle the job the way some were of sending a matinee idol to the White House in 1980). The only “safe” states for Democrats this year are: Hawaii, California, Washington, Illinois, Vermont, New York, Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maryland, and the Capital (since DC is not a state but it gets electoral votes equal to those given to the lowest-represented state in the country).
This is a massive pendulum swing from 2008, when Republicans saw their own “safe states” reduced and threatened by the Obama fad.
Now that the fad has been extinguished, the pendulum has sliced through the Democrats’ firewall and is obliterating them in states that were normally viewed as “safe”. While I’m predicting that Mitt Romney will win 322 electoral votes, that number could actually be even higher because I think this could be a tidal wave for Republicans that has been building since 2009 when the Tea Party first formed in opposition to Obamacare and the Left’s agenda after Obama took office. I think that 2012 is the year that Democrats actually have to be afraid of losing Oregon, Minnesota, New Jersey, and Michigan…which would be like Republicans having to worry about losing Oklahoma, Texas, Alabama, or Georgia. This is a BIG DEAL that it’s even in the realm of possibility that Oregon, Minnesota, New Jersey, or Michigan could be swing states. Never in my life did I think that would happen.
This is what finally made me realize that, yes, Mitt Romney will win Pennsylvania…a state that has teased Republicans for years. But if Pennsylvania is really a swing state and is not guaranteed to fall to Democrats every election like California or New York, then 2012 is the year that Republicans win it. If not, then we can never call Pennsylvania a swing state again and must accept it is permanently lost to the Left because of Philadelphia’s control over the state. But, since I don’t believe Pennsylvania is like California or New York…and that it has to vote for a Republican sometime…I think that Mitt Romney is probably the only Republican it would ever vote for. Barack Obama’s War on Coal and his 2008 remarks calling Pennsylvanians “bitter and clinging Midwesterners” might have been enough of a push to put Romney over the top.
Ohio is a no-brainer and is not even a swing state; it’s going for Romney because it gave Obama a chance in 2008 and he blew it. Ohioans are loving and decent people who are fair and will give an opportunity to anyone…but they will fire someone who does not deliver the goods he promised. Such is Obama’s fate in Ohio.
I gave New Mexico to Obama because I looked back on past elections and have seen that more often then not this state votes Democrat, so it might be a sort of Delaware of the west. Since Delaware, Connecticut, and Rhode Island aren’t leaving the Democrats’ column this year neither is their cousin out west. I have to admit I have never been to New Mexico and know little about life in the state; as much as I like Governor Susana Martinez and hoped she’d be able to carry the state for Romney I just don’t see evidence that her personal charm can overcome New Mexico’s tendency to be the “Delaware of the West”.
I do think Democrats lose Nevada though, because I don’t see how a state that depends so much on Las Vegas to survive can reelect the man who crippled the tourism industry in Vegas back in 2009. I enjoy reading columns by Steve Wynn, the casino magnate, and he talks about the volcanic anger towards Obama in Nevada. Minitru is putting Nevada in Obama’s column just because Harry Reid won reelection in 2010…but as noted above, read would have lost running against someone other than Sharon Angle. If you remember the focus group that Frank Luntz ran in Nevada the night of the second presidential debate you’d remember how angry people were there at Obama. How on Earth do they reelect him?
Here in Illinois, Obama’s going to win the state by the smallest margin ever for a Democrat; he’s actually going to come incredibly close to losing Illinois because enthusiasm for him is so low in Chicago’s Cook County. Democrats only win the state because they pull big numbers from Chicagoland. But I think in the end Romney will come up short in Illinois…but it will be fun to watch Democrats sweat here a little.
Final Result for the Electoral College: 322 Romney to 216 for Obama (but it could actually end up being as high as 337 Romney to 201 Obama if Minnesota and New Mexico surprise us).
For the House and Senate races, the logic I am operating under is that there are few instances where vote-splitting will be happening AGAINST Mitt Romney…so I am assuming that the vast majority of people heading into voting booths will be voting for both Mitt Romney and the Republican running down ticket from him for the other races in that state. There will be some exceptions to this…and in Massachusetts I believe that Scott Brown will win his Senate race because many people will vote for him for Senate but will vote for Obama for president (because Elizabeth Warren is a much worse candidate than Martha Coakley was so I can’t understand how she’d win while Coakley lost when Brown has done nothing to alienate his 2010 voters and Coakley has done little to steal those people away from Brown).
I think that every state that Romney wins will also push the Republican to the win in that Senate race too. Therefore, I think the Senate races will look like this:
Nebraska = Republican win
Arizona = Republican win
Connecticut = Republican surprise win
Florida = Republican surprise win (I’m basing this on something oddball, and it’s that a lot of voters think that “Connie Mack” is a woman…it’s actually a man named “Cornelius Harvey LaFontaine Beardsley Hiperion McGillicuddy XVII, or something bizarre like that; so he calls himself “Connie Mack”, which makes people think he’s “that actress that used to be on Hotel in the 80s, but now she got married”. Florida is going to go to Romney and I wonder if Floridians are big vote-splitters and will back Romney for President but the Democrat for the Senate. Why would the do that? “Connie Mack” sounds like a nice lady so why not vote for “her” with Mitt Romney? You might laugh, but I think this will really happen but no one wants to talk about it because it’s so ridiculous. The reason I believe this is happening is because I have five different friends who live in Florida but who don’t have tee-vee and all of them think “Connie Mack” is a woman. They only see “Connie Mack” written in a paper and don’t see a picture, so they assume it is a woman. I think this helps pick up the seat).
Indiana = Republican win (that garbage about abortion is not a big enough deal to vote split no matter what Minitru says)
Massachusetts = Republican surprise win
Missouri = Republican surprise win (because I don’t know how someone could vote for Romney and then agree to keep on ObamaClaire)
Montana = Republican win
Nevada = Republican win
North Dakota = Republican win
Ohio = Republican surprise win (because I don’t see Republicans vote splitting…and see no reason why Mandel would not get votes from the Romney voters in Ohio)
Pennsylvania = Republican surprise win (because Smith rides Romney’s coattails here and there’s no vote-splitting against him)
Virginia = Republican surprise win (I think people have forgiven Allen for the macaca stuff 6 years ago and see no reason to vote split against him in a state Romney will win)
Wisconsin = Republican surprise win (because I think Romney/Ryan win Wisconsin and with it the Senate seat too)
Hawaii = Republican SUPER SURPRISE win (because it’s so strange to think that Linda Lingle beat Lazy Mazie for the Governor’s race a few years ago…so why would Mazie win the Senate race this year? I think Hawaiians are vote-splitters and will vote for Obama but elect Lingle; of all these Senate races this is the one I am most on the limb with and it’s all based on the Lingle vs. Lazy Mazie gubernatorial race and the fact that Hawaiians have rejected Mazie’s attempts at higher office before, so why go with her now?). I have an 80% chance of being wrong on this Hawaii race…but I just see nothing in Lazy Mazie to make me think this latest race between her and Lingle will go differently than the last one.
Maine = Democrat pickup (though Olympia Snow was always a Democrat with an (R) after her name)
Michigan = Democrat
New Jersey = Democrat (because that prostitution scandal doesn’t affect the votes in Jersey for Menendez)
New Mexico = Democrat, only because I think Obama will win the state so why would there be vote splitting here?
Washington = Democrat, because Obama wins this state and the Senate race here
West Virginia = Democrat, because I think West Virginians vote-split all the time and have a habit of making bad choices with Senators (See: Byrd, Robert K.K.K.)
That makes it 15 wins for Republicans by may count, with just 6 wins for Democrats…for a net of 9for the GOP.
I think the low end of things would be about a net of 4 or 5 for the Republicans on Tuesday, which provides for some vote-splitting in states that Romney wins but the Republican running for Senate loses for some reason. But I do believe that Republicans will control of the White House, the Senate and the House.
I’m not going to do a rundown on House numbers because I have not had time to follow all of those races closely. I do think that Romney adds seats in states that he wins and that people voting for Romney in general will vote straight down ticket as well…which could lead to a lot of surprises.
I really think Debbie Wasserman Schultz loses her seat in Congress because of how poorly she’s looked in everything she’s done in the high profile position Democrats gave her. She’s too affiliated with Obama not to lose, because I can’t imagine people voting for Romney in Florida and then vote-splitting to vote for DWS too.
Nancy Pelosi will be ousted as Minority Leader in the next Congress and will retire some time in early 2013. A special election will have to be held to replace her. Pelosi is not going to spend her last years as a former Speaker who has no power and is just another member of the herd. So expect her to be moving back to San Francisco for good around the same time the Obamas are moving to Hawaii.
I do believe this is a giant wave election for Republicans and that Minitru and even conservative writers are missing that fact.
There is just no enthusiasm for Obama or Democrats…and people are tired of all the bizarre things that have happened in the last four years. I think Benghazi is a story that will only be understood in retrospect because most Americans realize Democrats are lying about what really happened there, even if they don’t understand what went down. The White House is clearly lying and Minitru is helping the White House lie…and I am surprised every day by people who know little about the news or politics who tell me “something is fishy about all that Libya stuff and Obama is lying”. This has made Democrats I know not want to bother to go vote…and it’s fired up the independents and Republicans I know to race out to vote against Obama.
We’ve never had an election where the following three things have happened before (so I think Election Night is going to be just madness):
* The Left has been assured by Nate Silver that there is an 80% chance of Obama winning so they are not mentally prepared to see a map where Wisconsin and Pennsylvania are in Romney’s hands. Expect epic freakouts on MSNBC over this. And then never expect to hear from Nate Silver ever again. He will need to go into hiding like Salman Rushdie. I hope he is enjoying his last three days as a mini-celebrity.
* A great many conservative writers know Romney will win but are using the last few days before the election to terrify their readers to drive up their web traffic through fear porn. They THINK that people will be so happy that Romney wins and Republicans take the Senate that people will just forget how much they were scared before the election. I hope there are professional consequences for anyone who pushed this fear porn…but since Republicans are amnesiacs most of the time, I doubt there will be. Which is a shame, because anyone who pushed fear porn hurt a lot of good people who got scared and upset for no reason just so a few sites could make extra money by driving up their web traffic through shouts of “SHARK!” when there were no sharks in the bathtub to be scared of.
* The Ministry of Truth completely lied to the American people and didn’t care about the damage it would do to its reputation. They went all-in and broadcasted from an alternate, fictional universe in this race. What happens to them next?
This is the 2012 race as I see it in the last days of the campaign.
I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you out there who have been providing me with consistent ground reports and anecdotal intel for the last several months, because your reporting from the ground shaped my understanding of this race and led me to my conclusions. We’ll see who’s right on November 6th, but everything I have seen, heard, and read from real people directly contradicts what all the “experts” say…so I think my projection will be closer to reality than any of the Eeyores or fear porn peddlers out there.
I also want to thank everyone who has been letting me know about the latest fear porn stories and shouts of “SHARK! that they see posted online. It’s so helpful to know who is spreading this fear porn and what they are saying. I tried to use this essay to counter most of it, but if I missed anything please chime in below and tell me and I will address it in the follow up tomorrow. There is no reason to be afraid, because we are going to win BIG.
Nate Silver, on the other hand, might be applying to Arby’s soon because that prediction model of his is cuckoo and the Democrats who buy his fairytale are the ones that need to be afraid of what’s to come on November 6th.
CHIME IN BELOW WITH YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE ABOVE.
What am I getting wrong?
Go ahead and tell me what you really think. Because the risk in putting a projection/prediction together is that after Election Night nasty trolls will want to rip me apart no matter what, since I’m human and none of us can be exactly right on anything. But I think I’m picking up on trends that others are missing…and I also think that things are going to roll our way this time, because this is the year that will happen (if it’s ever to happen at all).
On Election Day, I’m going to camp out in front of a live stream of MSNBC and do rolling historical coverage of the results and what the MSNBC talking heads in particular are saying. I think I’m going to start at about 10am on the 6th and will go through the late evening after Romney wins covering everything that’s being said. I am going to get a honey baked ham for Justin and myself and will be making some other treats that remind me of Wisconsin, Michigan, Massachusetts, Michigan, and Utah. I think it’s just going to be Justin and myself and maybe a few other friends, but I hope you will join us here on HB from time to time throughout the day to see how close our predictions come to reality.
I think I will be much more right than wrong, though…and I think I’ve called more than a few things that will be “surprises” to everyone else.
I really hope you hold accountable every conservative writer you see in the next few days freaking out over “Obama winning Ohio!” because this is ridiculously apocryphal; anyone who has ever lived in the buckeye state should know it is going to award its 18 electoral votes to Mitt Romney this year and it won’t even be close. Look for Romney’s win to be a 54% to 46% blowout for Republicans. That’s because Ohio is not a swing state this time around…since Obama’s deliberate push to the Left over the last four years has forced a pendulum correction shift that has now made Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Oregon, and even New Jersey the real swing states (instead of the swing states being Indiana, Iowa, Virginia, and North Carolina like last time…when the political pendulum had swung wildly to the Left during the now-stale “Hopeychange” fad of 2008). There’s just no rational reason for anyone to be worried about a Republican losing Ohio if on the last weekend before a presidential election the states really up for grabs with a 50/50 shot of either side winning include MINNESOTA…and a possible (but not necessarily probable) pickup for Romney is actually New Jersey (which, after Hurricane Sandy and the ineptitude that Democrats have shown in handling rescue efforts there, is a true possibility…as crazy as that might at first seem). If you think of that pendulum swinging, it had to pass Ohio to reach the point where Wisconsin and Minnesota are in play (and would need to swing even deeper into Democrat territory to put states like Washington, Connecticut, and Delaware into “swing” category). I wish it was an absolute armageddon for Democrats and the pendulum had swung so far to the right that California and New York were on the table like they were back in 1984…but I doubt in our lifetimes we’ll ever again see a time when either party loses 49 or 50 states.
I do know, however, that 2012 is going to be the biggest win that Republicans have ever had in modern political history and that Mitt Romney will head to Washington next January with a bigger mandate than any conservative since Ronald Reagan. Romney will, in fact, win over 300 electoral votes and the night’s going to be called early because a lot of “surprise” wins are going to happen in the Midwest, making it clear Obama’s defeated pretty early in the evening on November 6th. If you’ve been paying attention to the plans the Obama campaign made for McCormick Place in Chicago you’ll already know they intend that event to be a Concession Speech and not a Victory Party (and they have known this to be the case for the last three months).
Barack Obama and the Left are going to suffer a massive loss on Tuesday and I am thrilled that my home state of Ohio is going to play a role in that…but I know Ohio’s going to be overshadowed by the euphoria that surrounds Republicans winning in truly unexpected places like Wisconsin and Pennsylvania..and possibly scoring a huge upset by taking the likes of Minnesota and New Jersey, too. Well, “unexpected” if you really haven’t been paying much attention and don’t know a whole lot about Ohio and Pennsylvania in particular. I was born and raised in Cleveland and lived in Pittsburgh for a while as well; though I’m based in Chicago now, I don’t think my home state and its neighbor have changed all that much since I’ve been gone…and friends still on the ground in these states tell me that their families and neighbors are very angry at Democrats for lying to them and making all sorts of promises on which they didn’t deliver.
The conservative writers I see pushing fear porn about Ohio seem to think that between 2008 and 2012 the buckeye state became a solid Leftist stronghold like California or New York, when there’s no evidence to believe that’s the slightest bit true. Anyone saying Obama even has a chance at winning Ohio this time around is either stupid (and shouldn’t be writing professionally) or knows that’s not true and is just doing it to scare you so your panic helps drive up web traffic (which means this person shouldn’t be writing professionally either, since he’s purposefully posting fear porn to score better ad sales with higher hits that day). I actually think it’s crazy to think Obama could win Ohio this year and hope that on November 6th when the results come in you’ll look back and remember who kept telling you to be so afraid…and then on November 7th you do something to call the fear porn mongers out on all this.
