Enabling the Left
This election will be / is a scorched-earth campaign. The Dems will burn down every building in America if they believe that it will help them win the election.
Manufacturing “witnesses” is easy… Judas was bought and paid for.
The “October Surprise” tactics are coming out early.
Stupid rock-ribbed conservatives… The Bush DUI story on the eve of the election almost cost him the Presidency. That DUI was a long-time earlier, and Bush had repented, sobered up, and become a devout Christian, but because the knee-jerk reaction of the moral majority, they didn’t vote for the hypocrite Bush, when their Christianity should have DEMANDED that they accept his long-standing repentance and so vote for Bush.
If today’s Republicans can’t see that the lying-cheating-stealing
PRESS Democrat-Controlled Media are doing everything they can to scuttle anyone who may threaten Obama’s 2nd term, then they deserve to be defeated and have Obama oversee the final destruction of their remnant of America.
PRESS Democrat-Controlled Media are LIARS. Liberal Dems are happy to help them destroy candidates. The Cocktail Party Reps are in bed with them, too.
The Cocktail Party is to the Democrat Party like the Washington Generals are to The Harlem Globetrotters; they make a good living by always losing to the “home team” after making it look like they tried hard.
Gloria Allred showed up in the last days of the 2010 California election to throw an illegal-alien maid under the bus to service her beloved Democrat Party. It may have contributed to the Republican loss.
Now Allred is showing up with accusers who have no court case, not even CIVIL courts, so where is the money? Somebody is giving out $B$I$IG$ to lots of people to make it happen.
OWS? It’s a stage magician’s distraction to get people’s eyes off Obama and the Dems so they can operate more freely. Now ask yourself where the $M$O$NE$Y$ for the gourmet catering in all those cities is coming from? Somehow, the
PRESS Democrat-Controlled Media is not curious about it.
How do all these Cain accusers find the money to do things like fly to California and be in press conferences with Allred? Who is paying the freight?
If the Republicans allow themselves to be tricked into swallowing the lies of the
PRESS Democrat-Controlled Media and the Dems, that Cain, or any candidate, is bad / immoral / what ever, then the Reps deserve to lose everything, and be taxed 100% while Dems get paid government money in several more rounds of Porkulous.
Decide who you want to believe:
PRESS Democrat-Controlled Media who always is surprised at the high unemployment numbers (3 years running) but predict a good outlook next month, only to be surprised by the disappointing unemployment numbers again, but next month will be better
(2) your own eyes.
Like a jealous teenager, the
PRESS Democrat-Controlled Media and the Dems will do and say anything to ruin a candidate who the Reps may like that could beat Obama in the 2012 Presidential Election.
Don’t be stupid!
Don’t fall for it.
Kevin has been warning readers about “Extremely Premature Romney Coronitis” for years. It’s good to see that others have started to figure out the Democrat-controlled media’s game. The Premature Cornation of Mitt Romney is a must-read. Jered Peterson has nailed it. Here are some money quotes:
…in propaganda, it’s not the analysis — it’s the repetition that counts….we are going to see a lot more of this kind of ludicrous coronational stuff from the MSM and the Republican establishment, especially as Romney’s interminable campaign continues to exhibit its signal trait: failure to engender a shred of enthusiasm among the Republican voter base — or, for that matter, among Romney’s own alleged supporters.
Peterson reports the results of the latest Fox News poll and notes that
Among those who identify with the Tea Party wing of the Republican Party, whose energy and commitment disproportionately drove the 2010 electoral victory, the numbers are even more disturbing for the MSM/Party establishment-designated sure thing….Here the result is even more lopsided: conservatives with serious levels of support (Cain, Gingrich, Paul, and Perry) get a total of 63% of the vote to Romney’s 18%, with 8% undecided and the candidates with minimal support (a total of 4%) divided essentially as among “All Republicans.”
Peterson also correctly points out that the Cocktail Party GOP is just as hostile to the nomination of a conservative GOP candidate as the Democrat-Crontrolled Media (but for different reasons, of course.) He points out what I’ve been pointing out for months:
…there is absolutely no frontrunner now, and the race for the Republican nomination is wide open. It will be the primary voters, not the MSM commentators or the Party establishment, who select the nominee. Every word the latter utter, every sentence they write, containing the word “frontrunner” needs to be ignored.
I couldn’t have said it better myself.
Hat Tip to alert reader Richard for this story.
I am officially kicking off the Hillbuzz for Herman campaign. I am sick and tired of the main stream media (including conservative talk show hosts) telling us that Mitt Romney will be the next GOP nominee. It’s as if a memo was sent out and everyone is following the same script. There are a few exceptions….Rush, Mike Gallagher, Mark Levin, Sean Hannity. I was listening to Hugh Hewitt yesterday afternoon and he was yucking it up with a couple of guests (I can’t remember who they were) and they pretty much announced Mitt as the next Republican nominee. It really ticked me off. Where is the outrage from the Tea Party? Please don’t tell me the Tea Party leadership is striking a deal with Mitt. Have you all been hearing the reports that Mitt’s advisers have met with Obama’s advisers to discuss how to get Obamacare up and running? This country can’t stand 4 more years of Obama….or Romney.
We have got to get moving NOW and get behind Herman Cain. I heard him on the Neal Boortz show today and he said that his campaign donations have increased since he won the Florida straw poll but he will still need a lot more money to take on the Romney establishment machine.
I sent the Cain campaign an email 2 days ago telling them that Hillbuzz is behind them and asked what we can do to help. I haven’t heard back from them so….
If anyone is involved directly with his campaign or knows someone who is…PLEASE have them email us at this link. We would love to do an interview for the site or possibly have Kevin do a radio interview.
If you can afford to donate either your time or a few dollars to help Herman Cain become the next GOP nominee, visit his campaign site…
Sign up to volunteer here.
Anything to help! We can not let the establishment pick our candidate for us.
I know that most of you watched last night’s GOP debate on MSNBC but did you watch their post debate analysis? Ordinarily, I would switch over to FOX and watch a more sane and rational analysis but I decided to see what the loons thought of Rick Perry and the rest of the field. It was almost like a comedy show. The usual suspects were on board….Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow, Lawrence O’Donnell ( this man makes my skin crawl) and as an added bonus, Al Sharpton. They bantered back and forth with the usual left-wing BS nonsense. They don’t like Newt Gingrich because he is so much smarter than them that they don’t even know how to dismantle what he says (plus he calls them out on media bias). They had a great time making Ron Paul look like a complete crackpot (and Ron Paul falls for it every time because he’s so passionate about his beliefs…which have merit). They gave Jon Huntsman a lot of air time…I guess because (as a lot of people think), they want him to be the spoiler for the GOP. They repeated the same old tired Michelle Bachmann routine…making her appear to be a deranged far-right extremist boogeyman. They picked around the edges of the other candidates. They had negative things to say about all of them….except Mitt Romney. Of course they had a little criticism of Mitt but…if I had been an alien who just landed on Earth….I would think that Mitt was the candidate that MSNBC wanted for president. It was obvious to everyone that this debate was between Mitt Romney and Rick Perry. Oh sure…the moderators threw questions out to the other candidates but the focus was squarely on the two front-runners and one thing is very clear….they are terrified of Rick Perry. To be more specific, they are terrified of a Rick Perry presidency. This man is Satan to them. They think that if this man gets elected then the world will come to an end. Al Sharpton could barely string together two sentences he was so riled up (even worse than normal). They were praising Mitt Romney so much it was comical. They were practically tripping over each other to see just how much adoration they could heap on Mitt. It was one of the most entertaining things I have ever watched. Why? Do you think it’s because they have faced the reality that their savior, Obama, will most likely lose in 2012 and they would rather have Romney as president because he is a mushy moderate? Or do you think they want Mitt because they think Obama stands a better chance of winning if Romney is the GOP candidate?
One thing is for sure…..They do not want Rick Perry on the ticket.
To them, he is the Anti-Christ and they are terrified of Perry winning in 2012.
Sort of like we were when Obama won is 2008…and we were right.
The other day, my friend Kathleen asked “What was your last straw with the Democrat Party?”. Many people gave interesting answers as to when, exactly, they broke with Democrats. I’ve talked about my own break from the party many times before (I know down to the second when it happened, for good, too: May 31st, 2008 at 5:36pm while sitting in Dulles airport in Washington, DC, soaking wet, waiting for a flight back to Chicago after attending the DNC Rules & Bylaws committee meeting and fuming over Donna Brazile’s and Howard Dean’s shameless usurpations to hijack the Democrat Party to the far Left).
A number of readers remarked on never being Democrats to begin with — with some noting they were actually Republicans who are sickened with the Cocktail Party GOP establishment and how it’s long enabled everything bad the Left has wanted to do to this country.
If you are someone who realized just how much damage the Cocktail Party GOP permanent political establishment does to this country, can you speak a little about what led to your epiphany?
I firmly believe America is besieged by three forces that do the country immense harm on a daily and ongoing basis:
(1) The Left (and all the goon squads and horcruxes it relies upon)
(2) The Cocktail Party GOP permanent establishment
(3) George Soros and external “globalist” villains abroad
I also believe the Tea Party is really, at its heart, Americans’ innate and natural revolt against the above.
If you are reading this, you are the Resistance…and as part of the Resistance it’s really important to get a full picture of when, exactly, you saw the Cocktail Party GOP permanent establishment for what it is?
If you disagree with me that the Cocktail Party isn’t so bad, I’d love to hear that opinion too.
It would be fascinating to hear a substantive defense of the consulting firms and Karl Rovian career analysts, advisers, and other cronies who comprise the Cocktail Party.
What think you?
I was a lifelong Democrat until the summer of 2008, when the Democrat Party made a conscious decision to veer squarely Left, no longer wanting or (supposedly) needing us “bitter, clingy, Midwesterners” (to paraphrase how Obama once described the Jacksonian, Hillary Clinton voting Democrats of 2008) in what had very much become the Leftist-controlled Obama Party.
It took me a while to register as a Republican, because the wimpiness the Cocktail Party GOP establishment has always shown was something I could not only never respect, but could never imagine myself willingly want to be a part of.
It took Republicans like Governor Sarah Palin, Congressman Allen West, Governor Jan Brewer, Governor Nikki Haley, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, and Governor Scott Walker to let me see that not all Republicans are part of the wimpy, Mittens “Mood Ring” Romney, soggy cucumber-and-mayonnaise establishment club that forever allows the Left to get away with everything, often with immense hypocrisy. I really needed to see that Republicans actually existed who were willing to take on the labor unions, were unafraid of being called RAAACISTS! for challenging Obama on anything, and were not so obsessed with seeking love and affection from the media to speak their minds and call the Left out on the terrible things it tries to do to this country.
I truly believe the only reason the Left has any power at all is because the Cocktail Party GOP establishment enables it, thus allowing it power to harm America. If Republicans would just forcefully stand up to the Left, and call the Left out on a daily and aggressive basis, the Left wouldn’t know what to do.
The last thirty years of American politics are in fact based on the premise that the Left will do terrible things to ruin the economy and force government into every facet of our lives, while the Republican Cocktail Party establishment allows it to do this (since these establishment types have never met a fight they weren’t thrilled to run away from, if it meant copious media adoration in the form of being called “so bipartisan!”).
I hope enough of you have read the books (or at least seen the movies) to get this Harry Potter reference, but dealing with the Left, and battling it, is like Harry, Ron, and Hermione venturing beyond the safety of Hogwarts to seek out and destroy Voldemort’s horcruxes (the various things he’s infused with bits and pieces of his twisted soul that keep him alive no matter how many times great wizards fight him). If you’re familiar with J.K. Rowling’s universe, each horcrux is aggressively defended by forces of great evil. Just identifying and locating these cursed items was arduous enough, but when Harry or his friends actually faced one, live and in person, all Hades broke loose.
The Left holds the Democrat Party together using horcruxes of its own, with the Cocktail Party GOP establishment has been too cowardly to battle…and too stupid to even simply identify. Just like how so many people in the Potter books were too scared to even say Voldemort’s name aloud (instead sheepishly referring to him as “He Who Must Not Be Named”), far too many conservatives never speak openly about the truly despicable things the Left does to maintain its power.
One of the great horcruxes of the Left is the use of gays to attack conservatives and consistently claim Republicans are evil. Another horcrux is the Left’s abuse of black people, who are kept forever on reserve and ever at the ready to accuse conservatives of being RAAACIST! if the Left needs opposition blunted on anything. Jewish people form a third horcrux the Left depends on whenever accusing someone of being antisemitic will close debate and silence critics. We can continue this way through all sorts of ethnic, cultural, and other minorities, seeing how the Left pits each group against conservatives (and, often, against one minority or another) to get whatever the Left wants.
I love the Harry Potter series, but must admit they’re formulaic. Rowling is an inventive writer, but her plots are largely telegraphed from page one.
As interesting as American politics can be, I feel the same way watching the Left consistently get the better of the Cocktail Party GOP establishment, because those fools behave much like the Ministry of Magic in the Potterverse, too afraid of shadows and loss of reputation to ever do the horcrux-hunting that needs to be done.
A very personal example of this happened here in Boystown this past week, as I wrote to you about the extreme hypocrisy of the Ben Cohen Standup Foundation holding an anti-bullying event at Sidetrack the Video Bar, where bullying of conservatives, Christians, women, and special needs children regularly occurs. Sidetrack is the most prominent gay bar in the country, with massive clout not only in the gay community, but in Chicago at large because of the large donations Sidetrack’s owners make to Democrat candidates. Since 2008, Sidetrack’s been showing — each and every week — misogynist, sexist, and often downright vulgar videos bullying Governor Sarah Palin, columnist Ann Coulter, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, former First Lady Laura Bush, and other conservative women.
This is very much the purpose the gay community serves for the Left, as a repository for the Left’s inherent hatred of women. Gays are encouraged to aggressively assail women on the conservative side of the aisle, in much the same way blacks are directed by Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Henry Gates, and others in the Race Industry to accuse Republicans of being RAAACIST! whenever the Left needs this sort of animosity manufactured. Meanwhile, the ugly secret no one ever wants to talk about is how much the Left encourages black people to hate gays, so that even in the Democrat ranks the various identity voting-blocs are kept at war with one another but focused on the bigger enemy that is conservatives. If you ever want a classic example of the black-on-gay animus, see Proposition 8 in California (which passed resoundingly, despite Obama winning the state in the presidential race…which means black DEMOCRATS had to vote to discriminate against gays in large numbers while pulling that lever for the historic and unprecedented first black president…since it’s illogical to claim Mormons or conservatives were responsible for Prop 8 when John McCain would have won California if these people were powerful enough to pass a ballot measure on their own like this, without all those black people voting to discriminate against gays).
I’ve tried for a solid week to get representatives of the Ben Cohen Standup Foundation to explain how they can make an anti-bullying appearance at Sidetrack the Video Bar tonight when just two weeks ago, on August 16th, 2011, Sidetrack showed the premiere episode of “Only@Brunch” — a gay talk show shot here in Boystown that bullied Trig Palin for being a special needs child in a segment dedicated to bullying Congresswoman Michele Bachmann because of her gender and physical appearance.
The gay community is never called out on bad behavior like this, because the Cocktail Party GOP establishment is always so afraid of being called homophobic for doing so. This is exactly the same thing that happens with the Race Industry too: Republicans are so terrified of being called RAAACISTS! that they never stand up to Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Henry Gates or the other race bullies and call them out for their shamelessly bad behavior in service to the Left.
Of course, if you draw attention to anything the Left does, especially when it involves inherent hypocrisy, you’ll be attacked yourself. Back to the Harry Potter books, it’s always what happened when hunting and exposing the horcruxes.
The Left knows full well the only thing keeping the Democrat Party’s various identity blocs in line is the pervasive fear that exists in the hearts of those who’d try to topple this system. The Cocktail Party GOP establishment crowd has always been too afraid of bad press or name-calling to talk openly about the Alinsky-rooted and forever hypocritical things the various factions on the Left due in service of the Democrat Party.
I can’t repeat this enough to all of you out there: it really is time to stop being afraid, because while the Left can and will come after us on individual levels for taking on these assorted horcruxes, the Left cannot destroy us all. Fear of these reprisals keep millions of people quiet…which means no one ever really knows just how many of us are out there who see the Left for what it really is.
If only people would stand up to these bullies, no longer afraid of reprisal, and show others around them that the entire country is through with business as usual.
The Left’s hypocrisy needs to be exposed, each and every day, wherever it happens. That’s important because even if you don’t live in Boystown, and couldn’t care less about Ben Cohen making an appearance here, you need to know that a Foundation that spends a fair amount of time chiding conservatives for being intolerant of gay people is holding an event tonight in a venue that openly and aggressively displays bullying intolerance of conservatives, Christians, women, and those with special needs.
And that needs to be brought up again and again in the future, because the Left very regularly accuses conservatives of all sorts of things the Left actually does itself.
The problem is that conservatives don’t take the time to call the Left on this hypocrisy.
With the end result being that the public at large default-believes the Left’s stories on the end, since conservatives don’t mount a PR effort to correct perceptions and stand up for the truth.
Whenever I go to conservative sites like Ace of Spade or Redstate, I’m struck by how often conservative men, in particular, say “don’t waste time on this” or “that thing the Left’s doing doesn’t matter” or “we have more important things to focus on”. Really? Since these guys never seem to focus on much of anything, they sure seem like the standard issue Cocktail Party GOP establishment crowd that keeps letting the Left get away with all the things the Left has always gotten away with.
The Left, to its credit, understands how much the little things in politics matter…and how quickly they aggregate into very big deals when the Left decides to make them into scandals. For instance, just imagine a conservative group that regularly criticizes the Left on various issues hosting an event in a venue that participates in the very behavior that conservative group crusades against. Can you picture what the Left would do in this situation, and how the Left would use that hypocrisy to really pummel conservatives and discredit what they were trying to accomplish?
Conservatives lose the culture wars not because Americans as a whole agree with the Left, but because conservatives too often don’t bother to get any skin in the game.
They don’t put up a fight, or resist the Left on very much of anything.
They don’t decide as a group to stop accepting the status quo from the Left and start battling back.
I guess there’s always hope, though, because though it took Harry Potter and friends seven books and eight movies to figure out the secret of Voldemort’s horcruxes, they finally beat him by systematically addressing and exploiting his individual weaknesses.
Despite the fact the establishment surrounding Potter and company were terrified of doing what needed to be done, and in fact tried stopping him as often as possible.
This is really the sort of epic battle we’re all in for in 2012, whether any of us like it or not, and for it to turn out differently than it has in the past it’s really up to a grassroots effort of regular people to take on the Left in ways the Cocktail Party GOP establishment has always been too scared or stupid to do.
And that means seeking and exposing the Left’s hidden horcruxes….starting with the Left’s consistent and, I think, obvious hypocrisy.
Pay no attention to the polls right now, the media and Cocktail Party are just using them to push Mittens “Mood Ring” Romney
As the 2012 Republican nomination contest is heating up, the media’s working overtime to select the GOP candidate it most wants to run against Obama, to assure our illustrious current president’s re-election. To this end, the media will commission and selectively release whatever polls it thinks will most convince conservatives to foolishly allow the Cocktail Party GOP establishment to foist Mittens “Mood Ring” Romney onto voters in 2012.
If you pay attention to a lot of these polls, strange numbers of people are surveyed. It’s not 1,000 Likely Voters, but 628 Registered Voters. It’s certianly not 10,000 informed and engaged people, but 532 folks the polling place decided to pick for this poll. Personally, I often believe when the numbres are “628” and “532” there were a lot of people called on the phone to participate whose answers were mysteriously lost when the polling company realized their input would not generate the intended result.
Remember: the media commissions and pays for these polls and want the results they desired when they wrote the checks to cover this expense.
Hence, you will consistently hear harping about Obama beating this or that Republican candidate in these polls of 437 Registered Voters (and 17 cats), when you absolutely never hear boo about how, exactly, Obama’s going to win re-election when he’s never delivered any of that hopeychange that was so promised in 2008. The race card has been so abused these last three years that there’s also zero chance of the media being able to bully anyone into voting for Obama because they’re afraid of being called racists if they don’t.
For the first time ever, Obama faces an election where he’ll have to run on his record, not his bluster. Though the media continues refusing any sort of vetting of this man’s past, his present is live and on display every day for all to see. While the country’s mired in financial ruin, Obama’s on the umpteenth lavish vacation of his presidency, earning his nickname of “King Putt”, playing golf and screwing around while tens of millions of people remain jobless…and hopeless, despite all the Hope! anc Change! they were promised by Obama in 2008.
All polls are meaningless because the country’s not engaged in campaign mode, and people aren’t tuning into the Republican nominating contest (which hasn’t even started yet, officially speaking).
Wait until the Iowa caucus/primary gears up to give any credance at all to polls…and really only start taking them seriously once the Republican nominee is on her way to selection. Only when it’s a real race between a defined opponent and Obama himself can you get real accuracy from any poll.
And, even then, the only poll that matters is the one taken on Election Day in November of next year. Oddly enough, things like tee shirt sales in Washington DC or the results of candidate-inspired bake sales more accurately reflect who’s going to win the presidential election than the scores of polls the media flauts.
The Cocktail Party’s going to use every poll it can to continue pushing Utah’s Ziggy, Mittens “Mood Ring” Romney, and the media and Left will help them, but he’s just not the person we need to lead this country and clean up Obama’s disastrous mess.
That person, in fact, hasn’t even declared her candidacy yet…and until she does, all polls are wrong…and all bets are off.
How did this get so out of control?
Who is tough enough to stop it?
As predicted, the stock market is plummeting today….down almost 500 as I write this piece. As also predicted, the Obama administration is blaming everyone but themselves for the disaster (mainly blaming the Tea Party).
Here are just a few Democrat talking points that are appearing today…
1. Howard Dean: “I think they’re totally unreasonable and doctrinaire and not founded in reality. I think they’ve been smoking some of that tea, not just drinking it,”
2. David Axelrod: “The fact of the matter is that this is essentially a Tea Party downgrade. The Tea Party brought us to the brink of a default. … It was the right thing to do to avoid that default. It was the wrong thing to do to push the country to that point.”
3. John Kerry said that the S&P downgrade was “without question the Tea Party downgrade”
One thing they have conveniently ignored? The S&P made it perfectly clear why they downgraded our rating. “The downgrade reflects our opinion that the fiscal consolidation plan that Congress and the Administration recently agreed to falls short of what, in our view, would be necessary to stabilize the government’s medium-term debt dynamics.” The S&P requested a $4 trillion dollar debt reduction. They laid it out for Obama and Congress.
Obama…Reid…and Boehner knew what it would take to keep our AAA rating. The only plan that would have saved our rating was the Cut-Cap and Balance plan which passed in the House but not in the Senate. Our brilliant Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid declared the C-C-B bill “over, done, dead” before it even hit the Senate floor. Nice going Harry. If the bill had passed both houses then the pressure would have been on Obama to sign it. It was the only way to save our AAA rating. It was a very good bill.
Who was the biggest proponent of Cut-Cap-Balance?
The Tea Party.
I’ve been trying to learn as much about economics as I can over the past few weeks. I was not an economics major in college…in fact…I never took an economics class because it wasn’t a requirement for my major. I’ve always just sort of fluffed over the subject and knew barely the basics. I decided that now is the time to dig in and learn a few things because if I am going to convince some of my liberal friends that we have got to get Obama out of the White House before he pushes our country over a cliff, I’d better be able to back up what I’m saying.
I started thinking about the difference in economic theories embraced by the 2 parties in Congress. I realize that there are some who fall somewhere in between, unfortunately, someone who is an elected democrat in Congress had better put any conservative ideas they may have out of sight and vote in line with their party. The same goes for the Republicans too.
I recently read an article by William Anderson that summed up the Keynesian theory of economics….which is the theoryour current President likes to embrace. It is the hallmark of famed (I use the term loosely) economist Paul Krugman’s beliefs. Anderson writes that “Krugman has almost a religious belief that borrowing and printing money and policies of spending for the sake of spending will pull the country out of a recession. Borrowing from future generations (or repudiating the debt through inflation) is nothing more than making a claim on futurewealth. Furthermore, Krugman’s recommendations do nothing to address the current set of malinvestments which plague the economy, not to mention the huge added burden of government-imposed costs which make production of wealth more difficult.”
So…Krugman is a firm believer that we need to spend even more to get out of this recession…not cut spending. He thinks that the government should print more and more money and flood the system to encourage spending because the more people spend, the more goods will fly off the shelves in stores and this will create the need for more jobs to replace those goods….and so on and so on. Krugman seems to ignore that fact that printing more money will lead to inflation. Those goods are going to cost a whole lot more and people are going to end up cutting back on buying these goods and this is going to hurt the economy.
In contrast to the Keynesian theory is Paul Ryan’s budget plan titled ” The Path to Prosperity”. His plan follows these basic guidelines.
- ECONOMIC GROWTH AND JOB CREATION: Fosters a better environment for private-sector job creation by lifting debt-fueled uncertainty and advancing pro-growth tax reforms.
- SPENDING CUTS AND CONTROLS: Stops Washington from spending money it does not have on government programs that do not work. Locks in spending cuts with spending controls.
- REAL SECURITY: Fulfills the mission of health and retirement security for all Americans by making the tough decisions necessary to save critical health and retirement programs.
- PATIENT-CENTERED HEALTH CARE: Repeals and defunds the President’s health care law, advancing instead common-sense solutions focused on lowering costs, expanding access and protecting the doctor-patient relationship.
- RESTORING AMERICA’S EXCEPTIONAL PROMISE: Tackles the existential threat posed by rapidly growing government and debt, applying the nation’s timeless principles to this generation’s greatest challenge. Ensures that the next generation inherits a stronger, more prosperous America.
Needless to say, Obama and the Democrats didn’t like Paul Ryan’s plan at all. Cutting spending means cutting government entitlement programs and that would mean making many of the democrat voters furious. They want their Obama money. The really insane thing is that Obama has managed to infuriate his base anyway by not being “Keynesian” enough. Paul Krugman has ended up being one of Obama’s biggest critics because he thinks Obama is lowering himself to compromise with the Republicans. Krugman thinks that we didn’t have enough money in the stimulus package. He wants more, more, more! The bigger the debt…the happier Krugman will be.
So, the Tale of Two Pauls can be summed up like this….
Cut spending or spend more?
Obama needs to listen to Paul Ryan….not Paul Krugman.
