Can You Spend Any Time Outside Today Holding Up A VOTE ROMNEY Sign and/or An Empty Chair?

Posted on November 6, 2012 by Kevin DuJan // Breaking News, Featured Content

Do you think you have any time today that you could spend outside in a high traffic area holding up a VOTE ROMNEY sign on a street corner?

Maybe you could also hold an empty chair too?

This might sound silly to you, but it’s actually a big thing: people driving around who see VOTE ROMNEY will get excited…because they know they are not alone and they will see your presence as encouragement that your area is “Romney country”.  Conversely, Obama voters will see the VOTE ROMNEY sign and be demoralized, thinking “Why even bother going to vote.  Romney’s going to win”.  And then they will just head to Pizza Hut or wherever (the place I think they’ve been keeping Oprah the Hutt lately, since that woman seems to have disappeared off the face of the planet. Whatever happened to Oprah Winfrey anyway?).

You don’t need a fancy sign…just go down to the drugstore and get a sturdy poster board and use a red marker to write VOTE ROMNEY in big letters…and then take a black marker and outline it so that people can read it well from far away.  Don’t try to write anything else on it, because people need to read it quickly.  VOTE ROMNEY works best.

And then, spend any time you can outside holding up the sign at an intersection you see with a lot of traffic.  If you only have 30 minutes to spare, well, that’s 30 minutes that there wouldn’t have been a sign if you weren’t out there!  I know people who make this a family event and they bring hot cocoa and go out for an hour of so…and then head back home to watch the election results come in or go off to vote themselves.

So, not only can this be a way to provide visibility for Romney/Ryan today…but you could also be making a great family memory that you’ll cherish forever.  ”Remember mom when you took us and we held up that sign and everyone honked and gave us thumbs-up?  That was so fun when we did that,” they’ll say, many years from now. What a great memory of the 2012 election!

If you don’t have the time to spare to hold up a sign, you can also provide visibility by wearing a Romney button or tee shirt today wherever you go.  I know some people who like to face-paint and are putting VOTE under one eye and ROMNEY on the other, like they were football players…and others who are going to walk around with ROMNEY on one side of their face and RYAN on the other.  That’s not for everyone, but people who don’t have to work and are just going out and about in the world (and who have bold personalities) can get away with this.

We’re all different, so you tailor all this to suit your level of comfort.  You know what’s best for you.

But, I hope you can do something to provide visibility for Romney/Ryan today so that your personal touch can encourage others in your community to go out and vote…since the visibility you provide will kick everyone’s energy up into a higher gear!

I just know you’re going to do something great to help today…and I thank you in advance for doing it!

    The Sixth of November

Remember, remember, this sixth of November,
    The radicals’ treasonous plot.
I know of no reason the radicals’ treason
Should e’er be forgiv’n or forgot.

The Sixties were waning, and Leftists were claiming
    That radical changes were due.
Their Marxist solution was armed revolution:
    The Weathermen made their debut.

The radicals raged on the national stage, and
    Horrific explosions ensued.
    Their bombs were dramatic, but also erratic;
    They sometimes killed radicals, too.

The Leftists grew older, the underground, colder,
And so they came in from the cold.
“Subvert from within – in the long run, we’ll win,” said
    The Leftists, determined and bold.

And thus it began – this nefarious plan – and
    The radicals slowly took charge:
    Complete infiltration of all education;
    The long institutional march.

The journalist schools would produce useful fools, for
The Left would need media shills.
And Hollywood, too, would assist in the coup, with
    Its slick propagandizing skills.

    “Community action” would build a new faction;
’Twould organize proles on the street.
A smooth politician would front for the mission,
And run for the president’s seat.

The radicals’ goal, which they proudly extol, is
    A communist U.S. of A.
Collectivist schemes lead to brutal regimes, and
For this do the radicals pray.

But Jefferson’s aim, with the charters he framed, was
    To guard individual rights.
And “redistribution” was not a solution,
But one of the evils to fight.

So let us remember, this sixth of November,
Just what is at stake on this date.
Will Jefferson’s dream, or the radicals’ scheme, now
    Determine America’s fate?

I’ll have the empty chair in the front yard all day, guarded proudly by my Gadsden Flag flown at the 2010 Tea Party Rally on Daley Plaza. I’ve waited four arduous years to replace Gadsden with the Stars and Stripes as I have not been proud enough to do so, until Romney VICTORY is declared 11-6-12!!!

Despite the best efforts of a non-employer to keep me from the polls, I will be there in 45 minutes waiting for the doors to open, wearing the partisan color of red for Romney.

I prayed for you all yesterday as much as possible. I will do so again today. I’m going to keep my Romney button with me, even if I can’t wear it at work today.

We may be at work again until 7:30p tonight so most of the waiting will be over by the time I get home. I send my best wishes to you all.

Kevin….how funny! I just asked someone yesterday, “what happened to Oprah” it’s like maybe she’s realized her big love fest for obama last time caused her decline! Too sad she couldn’t follow all her various “how to deal with bad things life gives you and causes you to eat too much” advice and admit she was WRONG!
Oh well……can’t wait to check in with you today! Oh and if I had time to hold up a homemade sign it would say “By 2016 I’ll be able to afford a REAL SIGN….thanks to RR!”
“Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, America Can’t Lose!”

Yes, I’ll be in a tent in the parking lot where I vote, handing out materials, and getting coffee and snacks, well, being a gofer.

I have errands to run today and celebratory food to buy, so I will be proudly wearing my Romney/Ryan tee-shirt. :) I’ve been heartened by my Facebook newsfeed today…a LOT of conservatives coming out of the political closet to loudly proclaim their support for R/R. We can do this people! Obama’s political end is nigh.

I just put my empty chair out on the lawn. It had been outside since Empty Chair Day and was dirty and covered with gecko poop (those wonderful little lizards most people here love). But then I realized it was perfect dirty! I live on a fairly busy street so I think a lot of people will see it. Plus I’m right up the hill from the polling place.

Somebody in my town outdid themselves. I live in a small town on the Fl. west coast, solidly middle class, Republican, and lots of retired military and execs. Majority signs R/R. But this morning I went out and along one the major roads out of my neighborhood there is a small house, set back from the road, with a lot of street yardage. And in the front yard there was this huge white fan, with large lettering dripping in red paint and BIG,. It said Fire that Coward Obama. Then some stuff about murder and Benghazi. And finally at the end, Freedom is not cheap! Big, loud, eye catching love of country stuff. If Obama wins it will be voter fraud like we haven’t seen before. But in Philadelphia where Republican court appointed poll watchers were evicted and re instated and the Black Panthers are prowling — the Seals have our back. They are there too — and trained to operate like ghosts as the article about them said. So all the illegal voters and Black Panthers can scan the crowds and ask themselves “where he at?”

    Kevin,

I’m glad you posted this because it confirmed a thought I had on Saturday while clearing out the last of my mother’s belongings for the sale of her house. I had discovered two small American flags that were from my youth. There was also a chair with a broken seat. I had thought about standing at the main intersection in town with the chair, flag and a sign. Your post was just the boost I needed to act on my thought.

I quickly made a ROMNEY sign – thick, black letters on a white background. I then went to the corner where I placed the broken chair. In my left had I held my Romney sign and in my right hand I waved the American flag. After many toots from the cars and trucks, some thumbs down, and a few middle fingers, I finally had to call it quits after three hours because I have a bad back.

The sun was shining, so it was bearable, even though the temperature today is in the mid 30′s. Some strangers pulled up to the intersection, rolled down a window and the wife said that I needed to take her bag of goodies because she admired what I was doing. The husband said that Romney has to go or our country won’t last. They told me to be careful because I could be mugged. I pray that God will bless this sweet young couple for their kindness to me.
