BREAKING NEWS: Two sources in Chicago diplomatic circles identify Ambassador Chris Stevens as gay (meaning State Department sent gay man to be ambassador to Libya)

Posted on September 14, 2012 by Kevin DuJan // Breaking News, Featured Content

[ Ambassador Chris Stevens in the 70s with male companion Austin Tichenor, whose Facebook profile has been displaying photos and remembrances of Stevens the last few days including references to the gay-themed novel "Brideshead Revisited" whose main characters were star-crossed, doomed lovers "Sebastian" and "Charles"...which is not a far cry from the names "Austin" and "Chris", as some of Austin's friends have noted on Facebook. ]

Programming Note: listen to a special radio report on this developing story via the HillBuzz & Mrs. Fox Show, archived from 9/14/2012– click HERE to listen

Today I went out into the field here in Chicago looking to talk to some of the striking teachers but no one in a red-shirt was anywhere to be found (or, if they were wearing one, they had nothing to do with the teachers’ union strike).  A journalist friend of mine asked me to nose around and see if I could uncover anything about slain Ambassador Chris Stevens, who was rumored to be gay.  A former “roommate” of Stevens by the name of Austin Tichenor lives and works in Chicago and while making calls to friends of mine in the theater world who know him I also thought to check some sources with the city who deal with the State Department and foreign dignitaries when they are in town.

Of course, they’ve all been talking about Ambassador Stevens’ murder by Muslims in Libya:  and all of them are incredulous that the State Department sent a gay man to be ambassador to a Muslim country.  News reports continue to indicate that the Muslims who murdered Stevens also raped him repeatedly, before and after his death.

I was told by friends in the City’s protocol office to go over to the Second Story Bar in downtown Chicago, just off Michigan Avenue, because it’s where a lot of gay guys who work for both the city and the consulates go after work.  Chicago is home to a great number of consulates, including the Polish, Chinese, and Serbian consulates amongst others.  I happened to luck out when the bartender working, who is a friend, tipped me off that a man in a suit talking to some other foreign-looking types worked at the Serbian consulate a few doors up the street towards the lake.

Second Story Bar is literally on the second floor of a nondescript building whose ground level houses some sort of Thai restaurant.  A psychic’s office is prominently advertised on the door leading to a steep flight of stairs and a blank green steel door that hides the tucked-away bar.  The place has the feel of a speakeasy, with exposed bricks and battered plaster on the walls and an oddball collection of black and white photographs and pig-themed folk art scattered over drinkers’ heads in any exposed space.

I’m forever perplexed that actual reporters don’t camp out in these sorts of places because great scoops are very easy to find if you just go in there and ask questions.  The Serbian consulate employee identified himself to me as “Dino” and wouldn’t give me any more of a name than that, but told me it was no secret that Chris Stevens was gay and that “it was stupid to send him to Libya as the ambassador when he was a known homosexual”.

Dino explained in great detail that the brutal sodomizing of Stevens’ corpse was something that Muslims do to show the “utmost disrespect to the body” and that this is “a great insult in Islam” reserved for homosexuals.  ”It is like making him a woman in death and he will be a woman now after life” the Serbian explained to me.  There’s a good chance this guy was Muslim too, and gay, which makes my head spin more than a little since he seemed to have no anger at all in his voice that Muslims in Libya assassinated the American ambassador and then sodomized his corpse.

“He should not have gone there” was the general consensus from this man.

You won’t hear any of this in the media, no doubt, but in Chicago’s diplomatic circles at least there is no doubt that Chris Stevens was gay and that pretty much anyone in the diplomatic world knew that.  That includes the Libyans who were hired as security at the consulate in Benghazi who betrayed Ambassador Stevens and assisted in his murder.

Meanwhile, the White House is ignoring the fact that a gay ambassador to a Muslim country was murdered and they are in fact still pretending that all of this is about some obscure movie about Muhammad and has nothing at all to do with Barack Obama repeatedly and vociferously spiking the football over killing Osama bin Laden (which took place all throughout the Democrats’ convention last week).

TUNE in to the HillBuzz & Mrs. Fox Show tonight at 1030pm CST to listen to more on this story as it develops (click same link to hear in archives later too).

********************
UPDATE: Here’s a graphic I’ve seen making the rounds on Facebook that says it all…

I think the “ImpeachNancyPelosi” group on Facebook started this one but I don’t know that for sure.

***********************************************

UPDATE #2:  Here are more tributes that are being posted on Ambassador Stevens’ friend Austin’s Facebook page.

* calling them “two gay poets”

* referencing the tragic gay story “Brideshead Revisited” regarding Chris and Austin’s relationship in the past.

People here in Chicago are very openly talking about Chris Stevens being gay…and yet he was sent to be the ambassador to Libya at a time when Muslims were toppling governments and introducing radical Islamists into power.

******************************

UPDATE: 9/16/2012 — the corrupt media is still not reporting on Ambassador Stevens being raped by Muslims before and after he was assassinated.  The Left is claiming “that didn’t happen” and also showing only cropped images of the Ambassador, shirtless, with captions saying “he’s being carried to safely by helpers from the crowd!”.  No, the Muslims were stripping him naked, removing his belt and pants, and raping him. The uncensored photos show the man stripped nude and being dragged off by Muslims to be violated.

The corrupt media is whitewashing all this because it (a) makes Muslims look terrible for raping Ambassador Stevens (and then his corpse) and (b) it hurts Obama for people to know that Muslims raped the male American ambassador before and after killing him.  Male-rape is not what this administration wants to talk about six weeks before an election.

You can EASILY read all about the rape via foreign news sources in the Middle East which have no qualms reporting it.

One good source is the Lebanese media. If you can’t read squiggles and little dots that look like bugs, they have an English version too that was linked here.  The Libyan Free Press is also extensively reporting on the rape of Ambassador Stevens.

Pamela Geller at AtlasShrugs is, of course, on top of this as always.  BareNakedIslam is covering it like crazy too.

If you don’t know about this, it’s because you either purposefully don’t WANT to know or you’re foolishly just getting your news from the corrupt media and receiving only the information they want to give you after it has been best censored to help Obama.

Verumserum just posted this video purporting to be of Ambassador Stevens’ body being recovered from wreckage by the Muslims who would shortly thereafter drag his corpse through the streets, strip the body naked, and rape it; the corrupt media will not show you these monsters shouting “Allah Akbar! Allah Akbar! Allah Akbar!” as they do this, but here it is:

It doesn’t matter if he was straight, gay, bi, or asexual. It matters that our ambassador was murdered in a horrendous method and his body paraded around like an animal by savages. My religious beliefs doesn’t condone homosexuality but it strongly condemns murder. Murder destroys the most precious thing we have, our life. It doesn’t matter the orientation of the victim, murder is murder. Our ambassador had family and people that loved & cared for him. My heart goes out to those that mourn the loss of this man.

my brother in law worked in Saudi Arabia for years. He said there was a huge problem in Saudi Arabia with open gay men and their boy toys,, in fact in Afghanistan there is a practice in that country where they take young male lovers… but they do not call it homosexuality. I find this interesting as that is what was portrayed in that crappy little movie about Islam was it not?

Reports say that the ambassador was raped in the same fashion as Gaddafi was and that this is done to demoralize the victim. This isn’t about homosexuality but pure hatred of Americans. Gay or not he would have been raped and murdered no matter what. It is a hatred of Americans that is being justified through Islam.

The people making comments about being gay in a Muslim country are using American prejudices and stereotypes to try an make their words fit the facts. Rape in an Arab, not necessarily Muslim, county is a sign of CONTEMPT, HATRED and DISRESPECT. It isn’t about sex but hate pure and simple.

It matters that he was gay because gay people ALWAYS support Socialists, Communists, and by proxy, Muslims.

They have the same suicide gene as American Jews. Delusional to the point of extermination.

I can name a whole lot of Jews in the forefront of the American Conservative movement who are leaders in exposing the socialists, islamists, etc. and are doing incredible things to bring this country back to sanity: David Horowitz, Pamela Geller, Dennis Praeger, Michael Savage, Ben Shapiro, Bernie Marcus, Jeffrey Weisenfeld and many, many more.

Happy, married with the same woman and their 3 y/o son now. But, I agree for the most part it is unusual for a hetero male not to have at least a long time girlfriend at that age.

You can not determine if anyone is homosexual by their age. I know several people who are over “marrying age – if there is such a thing” and are not homosexual. Perhaps they have not found the right person of the opposite sex. Its not a good idea to make such rash judgements. I must say that Stevens went over to Libya voluntarily I am sure, no one forced him. I am disgusted that this man was tortured so viciously and that the American media chooses to keep Americans in the dark.

Of course, we could have been totally sold a bill of good with that one too? I just can’t fathom what would make someone think it would be a good idea to be an ambassador in a Muslim country when you are gay. What was the goal for him? I know there are missionaries who feel so strongly about their faith and their calling to go to these violent countries but at least their motivation is to turn these people to Christ. What did a gay liberal man expect to accomplish?

Steven’s mistake was trusting Obama to keep Americans safe. Competent presidents are supposed to protect US citizens on American soil. If not everyone can be protected, the president should make sure that at least ambassadors are protected above all other US personnel stationed in US territories surrounded by foreign lands, e.g., embassies and consulate buldings.

Today while waiting for my car to be repaired, I was reading the latest issue of the New Yorker, which had a long article by Salman Rushdie about his experiences back when his book “The Satanic Verses” was completely misinterpreted and then used as an excuse for Muslim mayhem and murder all over the world. How depressing that 23 years later, things are still the same!

What’s weird is that this issue, with this article, was printed the week BEFORE the shit hit the fan.

Poor Rushdie went through hell, especially since his friends and family members were in danger if they had any contact with him, and so he was terribly isolated. Reading about some of his experiences, I was crying right there at the car-repair place. People probably wondered….

Let me know how women are supposed to feel about that, and why on earth anyone who cares about human rights would think that such depravity is morally equal to Western culture?

Kevin I have only just heard of these rape rumours but I am not at all sure that they are true.

Please keep in mind that this was an Al Qaeda operation where the crowd was used as a diversion. There is a lot of misinformation going around. I am not sure if his being gay was in fact an issue. I am also not sure that his body was dragged through the streets as claimed because he was taken to a local hospital where he was promounced dead.

He went to no hospital. He was missing for FIVE HOURS and no one knew where he was. He was a play-thing for the savages.

I want more information on what actually took place.

This was an Al Qaeda attack and anything, I repeat anything is possible as to what happened.

It is also possible that the reports that I am seeing via CNN or any other MSM is lying… I am open to that possibility.

In the full pic the man carrying him show and you can see Stevens is naked for the waist down. If you can find a larger version of pic #2 you will see that the man behind Stevens is not dragging him to safety, but is in the process of removing Stevens belt.

Maggie, Muslim culture has a long history of male rape; and like female rape, it boils down to demonstrating your power over a weaker victim. In the case of male rape, it’s also about insulting a man, as the consulate employee said — making him a woman. (There’s plenty of info on male rape online; educate yourself about what it is, how frequently it occurs, etc.)

Muslims have no trouble raping women in public (remember the female reporter raped and nearly torn apart in Tahrir Square during the Arab Spring? Why would they have a problem raping a gay man?

The Tamminator is correct: he wasn’t taken to a hospital as soon as he disappeared from the consulate.

Did you see the photos of bloody handprints on a column at the consulate? (Find them on GatewayPundit’s site) At least one of the consulate staff — whether the ambassador or someone else — grabbed onto that column to keep from being dragged off by the mob.

Those handprints wouldn’t have gotten on that column any way other than by someone trying to keep himself from being dragged off.

They probably only took him to the hospital once they were done sodomizing and brutalizing him. I mean, honestly… the cover story for why he was missing for five hours is that no one at the hospital knew he was the ambassador. Really? No one in the crowd which allegedly brought him to the hospital knew his identity? None of them mentioned that to the hospital as they dropped him off? Really?

And as the Tamminator said, he was clearly dead in those photos. His lips are blue! And here’s a question: if you’re so worried about someone’s health that you’re taking him to the hospital, why do you have him on the ground snapping photos of him?

Those photos were trophies, Maggie, pure and simple.

This was the work of Salafists and it is the work of a very small group.

What they did to Gadhafi itself was quite sick so I am not surprised by what they have done.

Phyllis Chesler, a feminist psychologist and scholar, wrote a MUST-READ book called “The Death of Feminism” in which she takes to task Western feminists who don’t seem to give a crap about the hundreds of millions of women stuck in the living hell of the Islamic world. And then when courageous women such as Dr. Chesler and Dr. Wafa Sultan (whose book “The God Who Hates” is also a MUST-READ) tell the truth about Islam’s oppression and torture of women, these Western so-called “feminists” play the shoot-the-messenger game and attack THEM for telling the truth!

And I meant to say: Chesler’s book “The Death of Feminism” goes into very profound analysis of the Muslim psyche vis-a-vis sexuality. She explains better than anyone else I’ve ever read, how Islam’s deep, intrinsic contempt for women warps the psyches of husbands, wives, sons and daughters. No child growing up in a strict shari’a family has any chance of growing up whole and healthy and integrated. Chesler’s book is worth the price for her psychological analysis alone.

As a nurse, I can tell you Ambassador Stevens was dead in those pictures we’re seeing. The circumoral cyanosis (blue around his mouth) and the flaccid edematous of areas of his body indicate same.

People who were involved afterward in getting his body back and upon exam would have confirmed this type of horrific attack. Also, none of the others killed and whose bodies we recovered have had this reported.

You sure that’s cyanosis? It’s awfully dark. I think it’s carbon residue forming a mixture of mucus and smoke (byproduct of choking on smoke inhalation). Skin color is too good to be dead- at least for very long. Who’s holding his head up in the pic where he’s being dragged by the cell phone in mouth guy> Who’s holding his right forearm up in the one where he’s being shoulder carried?

I’ve not been able to find a definition of “flaccid edematous”, though each word individually can be used to describe the dermal state.

I wish it weren’t so, but he looks alive (barely) in those photos.

The “Administration” OWNS this – THEY put him in that high profile position, in THAT “country” – and OUR First Amendment has spit all to do with the Ambassador’s & other 3 Americans’ brutalization and murders, Jay Carney’s toadying notwithstanding ………………………….

Oh, and doncha LOVE how the “feminists” are up in arms about the Ambassador’s rape being a matter of ‘turning him into a woman’? I hear ……………………………. crickets ……………………….

This attack was too well co-ordinated and it came days after Zawahiri gave one of his messages.

It was from what I have been reading a revenge attack for the death of Al Libi, who was a top official in Al Qaeda.

Take a look at this link. It is probably the best I have seen out of CNN (nothing to do with that idiot woman Ananpour):

    http://edition.cnn.com/2012/09/12/world/africa/libya-attack-jihadists/index.html

Lots of information that needs to be digested as far as what really took place. It also confirms my belief that the whole thing was an Al Qaeda operation.

Also, I think that this is true in other areas.

What is critical is that there has been a lot of activity around Benghazi this year, including some activity prior to the elections that were held. The people of the area held firm against the intimidation, but it still points the finger in one direction.

Another critical point in this report is the use of the words “vacuum” and it is correct. Nothing substantial had been done to secure the area against the possible infiltration of Al Qaeda.

One of the best sources of information is the Jawa Report or MyPetJawa. They do an outstanding job on the subject.

Most of my own suspicions about the event have been confirmed by Rusty Shackleton. However, one thing I do suspect has not been confirmed and that relates to the “movie” that is allegedly the cause of the riots.

I continue to suspect that the movie was produced by someone with ties to Al Qaeda, but that is by no means certain. I have seen rumours such as the man who produced it was a Jew and his backers are Jewish, but that has been proved false. The man has been identified and he is a criminal, but he is supposed to be a Coptic Christian. If that is true then he has stained the Coptics who remain in Egypt and things just got a whole lot worse for them. The movie, or at least the dubbed text is extremely slanderous, in that it betrays the Coptic Community.

There seems to be a blood libel involved. However, that is secondary to the attack upon the American consulate in Benghazi. This was definitely a planned and co-ordinated attack. I have my own theories about the planning. The group claiming responsibility are Ansar al Islam. However, what is most important is that one of the men who died was online prior to the attack and he apparently made a comment about a member of the Libyan security team taking photographs.

Four men have been taken into custody. They are not the attackers but were there that night. What is the probability that those 4 were members of that Libyan security detail? What is the likelihood that one of them actually took photographs of the house where the Americans were taken and that he pointed out the house for the attackers? This was not due to any anger over a very bad Spaghetti Western. This was something else associated with Al Zawahiri, the Egyptian.

Aussie I don’t believe a Copt would produce a film like this. Those in western countries aren’t that stupid as the communities are usually in constant contact with what’s going on back in Egypt.

Having seen the film, it’s a hack job, with some serious voiceover issues, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it is yet another blood libel.

If you recall the Danish cartoons, they had been around for months before Mullah Krekar (iirc) doctored up some dodgy photos of his own and then shopped them around the ME.

The jihadis have serious form for this sort of incitement.

Breitbart News has subsequently learned that under those rules of engagement, Secretary Clinton prohibited Marines from providing security at any American diplomatic installation in Libya.” Apparently the private security personnel were not allowed ammo as well.

No, the Brotherhood is Sunni. The Salafists are also Sunni, but even more “radical” than the Brothers. The Salafist doctrine is as fundamentalist as is that of the Wahhabis in Saudi Arabia.

Iran and the majority of the people (but not the ruling family) from Bahrain are Shia.

Sunnis and Shia do not usually get along. (Pakistan, majority Sunni, slaughters Shia as often as they do Christians and Hindus.) However, there has been a Sunni/Shia rapprochement, as evidenced by the recent Iran-Egypt get-together.

I saw the statement that Clinton gave on the morning of Sept 12 – she was obviously very shaken. She personally recruited Chris Stevens and while she did not probably know all the details of what happened to him ….. she surely does by now. There would have been a thorough examination of his corpse to find out exactly how he died in Germany.

How do they sleep at night?
How do they look themselves in the mirror each day?

What kind of person can live with the lies and the betrayal? What sort of stories do they tell themselves to justify it all.

It’s beyond my comprehension. Chris Stevens was a man that was well liked and well respected by (from all accounts) just about everyone he ever met. Clinton bears great responsibility for what happened to him, but never forget that the ‘Rules of Engagement’ come straight from the Obama who delights in constantly calling himself – The Commander in Chief.

Wow, I had not heard that Mr. Stevens had been raped. Perhaps that needs to come out in the news more. People need to know the results of the policies of Obama–a man whose very name makes me physically ill and enrages me at the same time.

If W were still president and something like this happened, he’d be blamed for the rape and murder of Mr. Stevens. O gets a pass as always. I loathe O as much as I loathe the SOBs in Libya. They are cut of very similar cloth–they all want to rule over us.

The death of this poor man is so sad and so preventable. This was a huge miscalculation on the Administration’s part. Or was it? The back story of how and why Chris Stevens got to be the Libyan ambassador has got to be more than interesting. Possibly criminal. Having a realitive that had to go through security clearances I know that his sexual life was combed through also. None of the computes.

What happened to Chris Stevens was horrible. Those responsible for the killing and possible rape were worse than beasts.

That said, what was Stevens thinking when he accepted the post in Libya? He should have known Moslem attitudes towards gays. Was he so blinded by Leftist rhetoric that he believed everyone would sit down and sing “Kum Ba Yah?” Was he enormously brave or foolish? Kevin writes about gays being out of touch with the world. Is this not another example?

The lessons this atrocity teaches about Islamic culture are obvious; what lessons does it teach us about our own culture.

Kevin I was wondering about the fact that we have out of the closet gay soldiers now serving in the military. I always figured that don’t ask don’t tell was as much for their protection against intolerant Muslims as for the the bothers and sisters they serve with. It seems our congress and president or empty chair if you will has deliberately put our military in more danger by outing them on battle field. Talk about purposely inflaming the situation…

I always assumed that don’t ask don’t tell was as much for the protection of gay soldiers as it was for their brothers and sisters in arms. It seems that our congress and president or empty chair if you will has purposely placed additional danger to fighting men and women by outing them on the battle field. Why isn’t the gay community furious that obama is so anti-gay?

      Sara –

Soldiers are different than an ambassador: an ambassador has a spotlight on them as THE ambassador being sent somewhere. It is a very personal thing, as there is just ONE ambassador going to a place. Sending a gay ambassador to Libya was like sending a wheelchair-bound disable person to be ambassador to a backwards country built onto hills and mountaintops where only stairs are permitted and ramps and elevators are outlawed. Why do that, when there were more modern countries that posed less danger to this individual person?

Unless I’m missing something, when troops are deployed their enemies don’t get a personnel list identifying every one of them with personal biographies. Their names are not know. There is no spotlight on them as individuals. A gay soldier is nothing more than a black soldier or a Jewish soldier or a soldier who grew up in Minnesota. That is part of who they are and the enemy already hates them because they are American troops…so they cannot hate them any more for who they are inside and will likely never know much about them as who they are inside as people.

The thing that really kills me about people who still have a problem with gays in the military is that there has ALWAYS been gays in the military. I am literally stopping to count how many military guys I’ve gone out with: a Navy engineer who worked on a nuclear sub; a Ranger; two Marines; and an Air Force mechanic. I dated all of them after they had finished their tours. I would have done a tour after high school myself if not for DADT and I will always regret not having the right at the time to do so. It is the one big thing I missed out on in life and it haunts me and always will.

Being a high-profile gay man who is the ambassador to a Muslim country is different from being a gay soldier amongst thousands of soldiers sent to a Muslim country.

I have never had a problems with gays in the military…I just wondered if it was more dangerous for them without don’t ask don’t tell especially since they are training Muslim soldiers and fighting side by side. There have been so many green on green shootings where Afghans who were supposedly “on our side” are shooting Americans using the weapons we equip them with to keep the peace. Two more happened this morning. They recently have allowed our soldiers to carry armed weapons in those training areas because of all of the murders. The gay policy probably has nothing to do with it…they hate us anyway.

I’m not a big fan of sorries in general. Life is too short. If something was unintended then no one should have to apologize in my opinion. If something WAS intended then it still won’t bother me as long as it was original and interesting. The only time I really think less of people is if they are truly evil or if they are boring and unoriginal and just cut and past or use foul language for no good reason. THOSE are the people who should spend their time apologizing.

She said to NEVER say “I’m sorry” because this, somehow, puts the person trying to apologise in a sub-serviant position and the other person in a superior position.
She said, when appropriate, to always say, “I apologise”, which keeps both parties on an equal, respectable plane.

Of course that was not the case and he died living in that mythical understanding.

I hope that this tragedy will receive greater coverage in the days to come. The people who killed him are murderers and savages. I for one am glad that the dnc has committed themselves to coddling them. This group’s hatred is raw against homosexuals and the sooner their hatred is aired, the sooner the dnc will suffer from implosion.

And what, exactly, has been slanderous or false about the comments here? IF the Ambassador was, he was gay – BIG deal. IF he was raped, he was raped. You sound outraged on the Ambassador’s behalf, but WHY? I’ve yet to see comments being disrespectful of the Ambassador – perhaps you can point them out?

Also ,to the person up above who said they wouldn’t blame Bibi for bombing the US? Really? Why would you write such a thing? What if your family or your children were killed? Would you blame him then? Contrary to what Bibi thinks, there are a lot of Americans who think Israel ought to stop beating the war drums so that MORE American blood can be spilled for the sake of a “peace” in the middle east that Israel clearly does not want. America is broke and is sick of sending it’s flesh and blood and money to fight for Israel. They do not want peace, they want resources and control of everything and no resistance. Obama knew our ambassador was gay because all ambassadors undergo top secret clearance, something Obama could not sustain himself. Whether or not the ambassador was gay or straight or bisexual is only relevant if his appointment came with caveats and protection. Obama ave Stevens a false sense of well being using his Islamic heritage as some kind of mantle of protection. Being gay is not an asset in Islamic society. Mr. Stevens was entitled to the extra protection of armed guards as an ambassador who was gay in an environment that hated him. Obama should have insisted it be so. Mr. Stevens was entitled to be an ambassador and he was also entitled to all the protection his office required …. and that means armed guards and first rate intelligence. He had not one armed guard to defend him in a country of lunatics that without so much as a trial regularly hangs gays. I don’t care if the Saudis have closests full of gay men to parade around for themselves or anyone else. Islam hangs gays. Obama sent a gay man into the Islamic madness knowing how at risk he was. He then disarms his protection and the entire contingent is slaughtered. The ambassador is dragged through the streets raped both before and after he died in front of screaming crowds. Our ambassador our highest representative was sent to the most toxic environment on the planet by Obama who provided him no protection whatsoever. But for Valerie Jarrett vacationing on one of the most peaceful places on the planet, Martha’s Vinyard Obama provided a full contingent of armed Secret Service!!!!!!! Ah, but it was the film that did it, not the murderous Islamofascists. They hate gays as much as they hate women. Hell is filled with us. These Islamics are out to kill us and we have a president who doesn’t care.

Straight and gay men are usually distinguishable. This is not referring to blatant flamboyance. I just mean that the audio-visual is different and most of the time we can tell who is who. And I don’t consider it mean-spirited to say that Stevens came off as gay. “Not that there’s anything wrong with that,” as they’d say on Seinfeld. And so it begs the question, how did a gay man wind up in a dangerous hellhole like Libya?

One good thing about Republicans, especially the fringe, is that they wear their old-fashioned sexual intolerance on their collective sleeve. At least you know where they’re at, at least publicly. Democrats, however, have always been nothing less than schziophrenic in this area. Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell and Obama’s “recent” (reverting to his 1996 documented opinion) evolution on same-sex marriage explain it all, which are odd mixes of acceptance and disapproval at the same time. One thing both parties have in common is that they both wish gays would just STFU about it. That said, it is entirely possible that most members of both parties weren’t aware of Stevens’ sexuality, and that includes Obama and Clinton. This is why it was safer for someone like James Hormel, openly gay (but a divorced father), to get an ambassadorship. But to a safe place like Luxembourg. It is entirely possible that Stevens, himself, was a willing participant in misleading the State Dept. about his sexuality to advance his career. And so everyone has a chunk of responsibility regarding the horrific outcome of our new 9/11, not just the neanderthan, bat-shit crazy Muslims. Obama, the State Dept. and Hillary, in particular, for either willingly disbelieveing their eyes and ears about Stevens, or far worse, knowingly let Stevens indulge himself and take on this adventure among locals far less forgiving than Democrats or even Republicans. One thing’s for sure: if the pre- and post-death rape stories are true, and I believe they are, there isn’t even a remote possibility they will make it to any popular American news outlet, even cleansed with euphemisms like “disrespected” or “abused.” And so one more opportunity lost for the public to learn anything of substance… not that it wants to.

I agree with Karen that Ambassador Chris Stevens most likely died due to the effects of asphyxia; however, I do not believe he was dead when he was dragged from the consulate. The evidence is in one of the pictures.

In the photo of him slung over a man’s shoulder, Stevens’ left arm is clearly bent, with his left hand near the right side of his face or right shoulder. If he were dead he would have lost all muscle tone and both of his arms would have hung straight down due to the effects of gravity. Moreover, his head is aligned straight with his spine. Again, if he were dead, the weight of his head would have caused his neck to bend forward and his head would have dropped down toward the pavement. In this particular photo, it appears he is able to keep his head up.

What is more chilling in one copy of this photo, though, is that his bare left hip and the small of his back are clearly visible, lending credence to the theory that someone in front of the man carrying the ambassador was stripping off his pants. In an earlier photo where the ambassador’s legs are on the ground and he is being raised under the armpits by a man wearing a black shirt with red piping, you can clearly see that his pants were at his waist.

Whether Ambassador Stevens was or wasn’t gay is not an issue. The rape of a male (as with Gaddhafi, who was not gay) is an act meant to degrade and humiliatie the victim in the most extreme way. If indeed Stevens was raped, it would have happened regardless of whether he was gay or straight. He was the American Ambassador, and that would be enough for these people.

If any other medical people read this, would appreciate your perspective on whether Ambassador Stevens may have been alive in the photos, particularly the one I mentioned.

For centuries it has been assumed that an attack on the ambassador of a country is equivilent to an attack on the king or his country. A nation that expels an ambassdor is making a statement that is just shy of declaring war. To allow the amassador of another country to be assualted and murdered is the height of international negligence. Our president had (has) an obligation to announce to these degenerate governments that an attack on our embassy is equivilent to an attack on our homeland and that we WILL REACT ACCORDINGLY.

Asking Sudan to allow us to send Marines in to protect our people and our embassy is the depth of cowardice. Our ultimatum should say, in no uncertain terms that we will either break diplomatic relations with any one of these countries, and withdraw all diplomatic personnel, or WE will make the decision how to defend our peolple and our diplomatic facilities. Trusting these backward fiefdoms to protect our people is obviously a bad gamble.

The is hard to make out but the things that I clearly see and hear in it is someone saying “where is he?” “thats him” and Ayyb, ya rajul” which means “shame, man” and, someone saids to hurry up and then a lot of shame shame shame and then celebrating noises.

You don’t hold up something to block the cameras and keep saying shame if something innocent is going on. Its a very sad ending, but the man should not have been there. He was naive in every sense.

I do not understand why people think that democracy and freedom will flourish in the Middle East. Trust me they never will. Dictatorships work and for some parts of the world and the whole Middle East would be much better off without this bullshit Arab Spring. In general the Islamic Middle East is quite happy to insult anyone and everyone but go absolutely off the deep end when the tables are turned.

He was tortured for over four hours. An Ambassador has lots of intelligence information; they wouldn’t just kill him without getting it.

This video is crock of lies and further proof that the Islam is largely to blame for the terrorists’ behavior. These men were not trying to help Christopher Stevens, they were mocking him. If you heard the actual audio that accompanied the actual video, you would hear them shouting “Allah Akbar!, Allah Akbar!” – the signature cry of Islamic terrorists while commiting ungodly, heinous acts of terror. They then had a celebratory dance and raped this poor man. The act was meant to DEGRADE, HUMILIATE, AND INSULT ambassador Stevens and by extension, America. The evil brainwashing of videos such as this is shameful, but the truth remains- this was a demonic act by a people filled with hate fueled by a false, corrupt religion. An act of rabid animals. If this was truly a sectarian act, rejected by the majority of Islam, Caliphs and Imams worldwide would stand up in protest, but this is not the case. While the majority of Islam may not participate in such horrible acts, the fact that the MAJORITY does not condemn it is an indirect endorsement of the behavior. If Islam abhorred this behavior, leaders would widely and publicly denounce it.
