BREAKING: Drudge Report claims New York Times is going to run front page expose on Sarah Palin's youngest son, Trig
Screengrabs from Drudge because the link they have up for this story goes nowhere….
Drudge has been making a lot of stuff up lately, so who knows if this is even true, but they are claiming the New York Times is preparing to run a front-page expose on Sarah Palin’s baby, little Trig Paxion van Palin, who has Down Syndrome.
What sort of expose they could run on a 4-month old is a mystery. At his age, there’s not that much to expose. It’s not like he’s friends with an unrepentant terrorist, has a crazed racist as not only his spiritual advisor but his loudest, talkshow-hosting cheerleader in the media, and got help buying his mansion from a convicted felon and Chicago political-fixer.
Oh, that’s right, the media doesn’t care to expose anything like the above anyway, so it wouldn’t matter if little Trig Palin was involved in any of that or not.
There must be some other huge expose on Trig that’s coming: perhaps he, unlike every other baby in America, doesn’t like Cheerios.
Et tu, NYT?
Have you now sunk to a new personal low?
UPDATE: Drudge could very well be lying again. At 750pm, 9/7/08, we noticed Drudge had changed the title of its post to the below, which we screengrabbed. Now, instead of an expose, it’s a detailed story on Trig Palin. There’s also still no link to an actual story, just the DEVELOPING note. Sometimes these things on Drudge don’t develop into anything. There’s a good chance all this could just be a ploy to get Drudge more attention on a Sunday than they typically get. We know we keep checking back to see if anything new was posted on this, so that ploy does indeed work well.

You know just cause brad pit and angelina like to smather their kids all over the frong page of the latest magazine. Doesn’t mean that the News has the right to smear Palins son in the news. this is as reduclous as a Maury Povich DNA episode. Trig will grow up and see this foolishness one day. people in the country have lost their minds, if this has turned out to be true. they better hope, obama is worth it, because when this is over, some editors and reporters are going to be looking for jobs.

Obama is in trouble, and thanks to the NY Times, they are going to add fuel to the fire of the people (not news media) to elect McCain-Palin.
Don’t hold them back. Let them get in trouble
Drudge has changed his headline. Now it says “Detailed Story” instead of “expose.” Drudge is probably exaggerating the significance of the story. Probably no new info to be printed.
I think the NYTimes is trying to take a bite out of the new polls and perhaps run a scare story that will make the new found Christian support of the McCain/Palin ticket questionable. like an affair per the National Enquirer.
the link is up and you can read excerpts here on this blog:

it’s not much of expose but it does play with Sarah’s motherhood..
So I see waking up that the NYTimes has run with the Trig Palin article on the front page. Timelines of the pregnancy and questions about whether a mom can or should be juggling such a big job and special needs baby. Nauseating. Why is this front page news. Why is this public news at all. Would they EVER ask this of a man. This is the embodiment of misogyny.
Todd seems like a man worthy of much respect and admiration in his own right. He is a father who is not shy about assuming parenting responsibilities. A real man, if you will. Sarah puts it best in a quotation from the article itself, “to any critics who say a woman can’t think and work and carry a baby at the same time, I’d just like to escort that Neanderthal back to the cave.” Well, there are a tribe of Neanderthals at the NYTimes who need to be escorted from their jobs.
