Bin Laden’s death sparks different reactions.

This is a video of reactions from kids of all different ages to the death of Osama bin Laden. It’s pretty enlightening. Don’t ever assume that kids don’t pay attention to what’s going on in the world.
….and then you have the childish Chris Matthews declaring that last week was the “best week ever for this country”. He is giggling so much that he can barely speak. I bet he has tingles going up both legs.

Does he not know that this country is in very serious trouble? Killing bin Laden was great but it won’t help our economy. It won’t put people back to work. It won’t bring down our outrageous debt.
Matthews is such moron.

Most children, these days, lack critical thinking skills. They go by what they see and hear, but what are those sources: TV., school, other kids, and occasionally a parent. In this day and age of Obama a “child” is one to twenty-six years old; I still hold to the statement that today’s children lack critical thinking skills. This is a select group and most of their information was from this weeks sound bites. The little ones have no realistic concept of time, numbers or history and the older kids are not much better. I read two or three hours a day on-line. I read sites from liberal to conservative and from several different countries and I can’t say what’s happening with any confidence.
Children (and too many adults), like mirrors, simply reflect their surroundings; until they learn to sort out things for themselves.
The twins must have an interesting household. They should have their own talk show.
Kevin, When do I get to be grandfathered into commenting immediately? Do I need to send you another donation?
You're right that the OBL killing won't help the economy, but don't underestimate the value of really good news when everything else seems to suck.
Now, what would happen if some terrorist organization could supply convincing proof that OBL was alive? I don't believe it, but it's an interesting thought. What would happen to this administration? Would anyone on the left care?
Slightly different topic:
I'm sure you've seen the paintings of the mighty barbarian, atop the heap, bloody axe in hand, women clinging to his powerful thighs, right?
Ok, let's put Obama's face on the barbarian, and a presidential suit, ripped at the seams as he hulks out of it. Mathews, Maher, and Pelosi are the women clinging to his tingly thighs, and the heap has labels like "capitalism," "conservativism," "gun rights," etc. Let's title it, "How the Left Sees Obama."
Pic 2: Several adults, with names like Reagan, Palin, West, Freidman, etc., surround a complaining child. The white child is in a presidential … suit. The heap has labels like, "Communism," "Socialism," "Blame America First," and so on. Perhaps one of the adults has a machine gun, maybe another has a grizzly bear pet, a third might hold a copy of the constitution. Perhaps this would be labeled, "How the Right Sees Obama." (BTW – there's a reason that the child is white.)
Anyone with artistic skills (I have none) want to take a shot? Or am I just being sillier than usual?
I find myself asking if Chris Matthews has any idea how foolish he sounds as he continues this "man crush" he has on Obama. Any possible image of objective journalism was dashed in 2008, but just when you think he can't get any more "over the top," he does something like this. The thing I find amazing is that these people, these so-called journalists, continue to insist they are COMPLETELY objective. I wonder what life is like inside the big bubble they all live in?
Let's just stop talking about Chris Matthews. MSNBC is the proverbial tree falling in the woods thanks to their Obama lving misogyny promoting JourNOlists. Why give them any attention?
I do believe Chris Mathews and his station, knows how foolish he is. But that's his "schtick" (comic gimmick – from Yiddish) and it's so ridiculous that it keeps people watching – it must or they would get rid of him right?
I cannot get past the fact that once Osama was (supposedly) killed by Navy Seals, within 24 hours he was buried at sea (Obama and Co. know a lot about islamic tradition). However, they then said DNA evidence confirmed that it was Osama. Sorry, but you just don't get a DNA match that quickly. They would have had to had custody of the body and in this case, this DNA information would be important evidence and you just can't do an islamic burial that quickly while getting DNA match up evidence. The whole thing is very fishy and that is why Obama threw Osama in with the fishes/sharks. That is probably an old trick Obama learned from Al Capone.
I think they could have had the body on the ship, ready for burial, in 8 hours or less. Remember, it was all pre-planned. I understand than high-end DNA tech can match very quickly, though I dunno how fast.
I don't think that any group which could pull off that raid could have fumbled the aftermath so thoroughly, which is why I think the raid happened, but I don't think Obama and Co. had much to do with it.
As for the kids, well, they do pay attention and they filter what they hear through senses that haven't yet been condition to the adult way of thinking.
what i don't understand is where they got the 'original' DNA to match it to? did they give dan rather a swab when he interviewed him many years ago?

“best week ever for this country” eh?
I just came back from a trip that took me down my city’s “pawnshop row”– where most of them are located… about half are either shut, or going out of business. If that isn’t grim news, I don’t know what is.
the dove like son of Bin Laden, Omar claims that the death was against international law. I do not agree with him, but he cited the fact that Saddam Hussein was brought to trial. I guess Omar does not understand that this was a case of war and in war you do not put your opponent on trial.
That kids' vid was one of the better vids I've seen in a while. Thanks for posting it.
Bridget – I think your heading should accurately portray reality
Obama's MURDER of Bin Laden Sparks Different Reactions –
whatever the real story is we will never know – so let's help him own his version of the story entirely! After all -as the current story goes – Obama waited 16 Hours to pre-meditate the MURDER – after sleep, some golf of course, and maybe a Blackberry "church service" – before verbally pulling the trigger to MURDER Bin Laden (rather than allowing Eric Holder to try Bin Laden in our Courts as promised in 2008) – and then of course – the icing on the cake – he interrupted the Board Room scene of the Apprentice!
Anyone notice the poster on the board behind these kids? Go to 3:40; looks like an ad for the book "Obama's Wall Street Sellout". Way to go kids!
Tingle in both legs? No…tingle in all three legs I would think.
that's funny. i'm not a big fan of rush, and when i used to be more liberal, I *did* listen to him – because how could I rant and rave against something when I don't know what it really is?
(similar to me telling someone: oh, you really should see waiting for superman, it was a really fantastic movie and her response was: oh, it's about how wonderful charter schools are and i think they are an abomination, so i would never see it – then she goes on to tell me what an awful movie it is – rather than listen to me say: that's one of the points in the movie, but it's not the only one – you really should see it, it won't make you change your mind, but there is a lot of information in it. now she won't even speak to me and she seems quite angry that our kids are such good friends).
It really creeps me out when anyone is ‘happy’ or ‘cheerful’ upon learning about someone’s death.
The midrash (discussion of the bible) that I have pounded into my kids’ heads, because i think it is so important, is when the israelites are crossing the red sea. They are leaving egypt after being slaves. And they are being chased by the egyptian army. Gd parts the sea, the israelites go thru safely, but when the egyptians go thru – the sea comes back together and the egyptians die.
The angels are cheering and very happy. Gd reprimands them – tells them that although it might have needed to be done, there is no joy or cheerfulness when Gd has to kill any of his people. While the loss of life may be justified, we shouldn’t ever celebrate any loss of life.
That has always resonated to me – because I think it can be applied to a lot in life – with regard to feeling happy when something bad happens to someone else that you may not like, or something like that. So when I saw people out there in the streets treating it like some sort of rally and cheering, etc, I was not thinking it was a good thing. Who are we when we start cheering death? Especially one we caused? (and this is *not* to say we shouldn’t have done this…quite the contrary. I am happy, however, that I am not the one who has to make these decisions).
