A Conversation with a Coptic Christian
This afternoon I was running errands and stopped at a convenience store for gas. I rarely go to this particular station, as it’s a little out of my way, and everyone who works there has a middle eastern accent. You can call me prejudiced if you want, but I’ve become very wary of the muslims in my State, and frankly, I’d rather give my business to one of the locals if I have the choice.
I started to chat with the man behind the counter about the new Mediterranean restaurant that was opening across the street, and he said that he’d already eaten there, and the food was pretty good.
“Do they serve gyros?”, I said. “Yes,” he replied, “it’s a Greek restaurant, so the gyros taste a lot different than they do in my home country of Egypt.”
“Oh, you’re from Egypt? You must be pretty upset about the chaos that’s going on over there,” I said. “Yes,” he said, “I’m worried about my family.”
Being the ballsy chick that I am, I asked him directly, “What does your family think of the Muslim Brotherhood taking over power?”
“They’re not happy about it,” he said. “They are afraid that the muslims will be much worse than Mubarek was. Most people didn’t mind Mubarek. Unless you were causing trouble, he left you alone. I don’t hate muslims. I lived with them. But there are some that want to tell you what to do. And those make us scared.”
“I thought the Egyptians wanted democracy. Didn’t they understand that the Muslim Brotherhood would be just like a dictatorship?” I asked.
“The people do whatever the mullahs tell them to do. They don’t think for themselves. The mullahs tell them who to vote for, and that’s who they voted for. What you see on the news isn’t the whole story,” he said.
“Are you a Coptic Christian?” I asked.
“Yes,” he said, “and a lot of my people are trying to get out of Egypt now. My Dad says they will be okay. But, I don’t know…”
“Well, I’m glad you got out and that you are safe. I’ll pray for your family,” I said with a smile.
He beamed. “Thank you so much. Stop by again some time.”
“I will,” I replied.
And I plan to stop by more often. So much for my prejudice over the accent, huh? Who knew he was a Coptic Christian who’d come to America to escape a dictatorship and make a life for himself.
I don’t know the man’s family, but I’m certainly going to pray for their safety tonight. And I pray that he’s wrong about the muslims being worse than Mubarek.
Sadly, I don’t think he is.
Here’s another story about a Coptic Christian family escaping to the U.S.
I’m a Democrat. Just Kidding!
No, this isn’t a parody. These people really ARE this stupid.

Rick Santelli: “You Can’t Buy Your Way Into Prosperity”
Three years ago today, President Obama signed the stimulus bill, a gigantic waste of our tax money that did nothing for the people of this country, but instead went into the pockets of Obama’s cronies and campaign bundlers. No has ever been able to track exactly where our money went, but you can be sure that it will never be returned to the people, and more than likely it went down a huge, smelly government drain with all of the other putrid waste that comes out of Washington.
Two days after the stimulus was signed, a brave man by the name of Rick Santelli gave a rant from the Chicago Exchange that was heard across the nation. Rick railed against the stimulus, screaming that it would “subsidize bad behavior”.
In the middle of his rant, Santelli uttered the most famous words of all: “We’re thinking about having a Chicago Tea party in July”. The floor erupted with whistles and cheers, and within hours, an American movement was born.
The Tea Party.
The only good thing that came out of the stimulus package was something that the Obama administration never expected: An angry, silent majority that woke up, realized that they’d been sold down the river, and who decided to fight back. Tea party groups quickly sprang up across the U.S., and this silent majority was silent no more.
Today, those same citizens have put down their signs, and are now working behind the scenes in communities everywhere, fighting to take our country back from the oppressive mandates that this administration has hoisted upon them.
Don’t you believe the media for one minute when they tell you that the tea party is dead. The party is stronger than ever, and they will not stop until the Obama administration and their marxist-like policies are stricken from this nation.
Watch Santelli’s historic rant, and remember that if it weren’t for the stimulus, the tea party never would have been born. Thanks for that, Mr. President!
Martha “kick him in the jimmy”McSally is Running For Congress
This morning I caught an interview on FOX news with Colonel Martha McSally, a retired Airforce pilot, who was the first woman to fly in combat since the ban on female fighter pilots in 1991.
She’s a no-nonsense lady, who served our country in the Airforce for 22 years. You may recall Ms. McSally, as she sued the Department of Defense for forcing women to wear the “abaya” while serving in the Middle East. She won that lawsuit in 2002, and the Pentagon no longer forced women to wear this garb of submission.
Martha is running for Gabrielle Gifford’s seat in Arizona. She’s a plain speaking Republican who is sick and tired of the games that are being played in Congress.
In the interview this morning, she stood up to some very sexist comments that Rick Santorum made about women in combat: “Where people naturally, you know, may do things that may not be in the interests of the mission because of other types of emotions that are involved.”
As Ms. McSally points out, these kinds of chauvinistic ideas have been going on for the past 20-25 years, and they are out of touch with the realities of women in combat.
I really like this woman. She’s tough, honest, and a fighter. Check out her site here to learn more about her. And if you like her, volunteer for her campaign or send her a few bucks.
This woman is obviously NOT a cocktail party Republican. I wish we had a few more Martha McSallys running for Congress across this country.
Who Cares About Rape?
This week has really shown us who the Left is. They hate religion(forcing Catholics to pay for birth control) they want to give money to terrorists(Obama wants to give 800 million to Egypt), and in this video, the leftist media is almost giddy about the rapes going on at the Occupy Camps. Go to 3:45 in this video and watch the found of the Daily Kos gleefully talk about how the rapes don’t matter at Occupy. The smug look on his face is enough to make you want to puke.
This is the Obama administration, folks. This is who they are. And it’s only going to get worse. They want to destroy this country morally and physically(riots) if they have to. I hope you’re prepared, because we’re going to need every American who believes in the goodness of this country to fight back. God help us all.

Whitney Houston is Dead.
One of the most amazing voices of our time. Pray for her soul. May she rest in peace.
Chuck Woolery: Un-Occupy Wallstreet.
I’d heard about these funny Chuck Woolery videos, and I thought this one was particularly funny. Ever since his TV show “The Love Connection” , I’ve been a big fan. He was so good at improvising on that show, especially when he had really stupid guests.
I hope this will start your day off with a chuckle.
