Australian courts deny a man’s Sharia defense.

Finally….some good news on the Sharia war front. An Australian court has sentenced a man to 10 years in prison for pedophilia. The 31 year old married father had been having sex with an 8 year old girl for several years until she became pregnant…that’s when he got caught.
His defense? “Hey, I’m Muslim and it’s ok for us to do that kind of stuff.”
But Melbourne Judge Lisa Hannan didn’t think it was ok. “Your conduct is abhorrent to anyone with even a shred of decency or moral compass,” Judge Hannan said.
The Islamic community isn’t too happy about this. The Muslim invasion has been going on in Australia for some time now and this is a definite setback. So…in protest, a prominent Saudi cleric, Dr. Salih bin Fawzan, has issued a fatwa that there is no minimum age that a girl can be married….“even if they are in the cradle.” (no kidding..his exact words) Fawzan goes on to say “Uninformed interference with Sharia rulings by the press and journalists is on the increase, posing dire consequences to society, including their interference with the question of marriage to small girls who have not reached maturity, and their demand that a minimum age be set for girls to marry.” He then stresses the fact that no where does Sharia set an age limit for marrying and that Muslim men have always relied on the Koran for guidance. The specific verse is Koran 65:4, which says that men should marry girls who have not started menstruating yet because …well…Mohammad married his favorite wife, Aisha, when she was six. They “consummated” the marriage when she was 9 and if Mohammad did it then everything’s a-okay.
The cleric ends his fatwa with a warning….“It behooves those who call for setting a minimum age for marriage to fear Allah and not contradict his Sharia, or try to legislate things Allah did not permit. For laws are Allah’s province; and legislation is his exclusive right, to be shared by none other. And among these are the rules governing marriage.”
Yep…Islam….that lovely religion of peace (and pedophilia).

I've done a bit of research on this – snopes.com says this picture is not of the brides, but members of the wedding party and family. A reporter from Sky News who attended this mass wedding also denies the children were the brides. I think you need to look deeper into this before asserting that this picture portrays men marrying children. This practice obviously happens, but when you use a false image, you undercut your main point, which is that Sharia is dangerous to Western civilization.

I would not trust anything that comes from Snopes. They are now dead in the water after it became clear that they are leftist and have an agenda.
I have seen other articles that would in fact show that the 11 year old is the bride. These kinds of marriages also happen in India amongst the Hindu.
In these cultures the girls are married off but they do not consumate the marriage until they are older. However, a 16 year old would be forced to consumate the marriage. In those cultures they often see such a marriage as protection for the girl. I am not supporting such action, I am just providing their point of view.
However for Muslims, that is not the case, it is what Mohammed has done that is at issue. I had not heard of the Melbourne case. At least the magistrate or judge did the right thing in that case. It is disgusting what the man had done… and no, in my country multiple marriage and having sex with girls under the age of 16 is not allowed!!

Pam makes a good point. Not that Snopes is necessarily reliable about such things, but some real verification is needed.
Sharia is definitely incompatible with western civilization and I think it's time that more of our law enforcement authorities started emphasizing that Sharia is not the law here.
I read stories in National Geographics about this. It is beyond sick. 10 years in prison for raping and doing an damage to a young girl is not enough. I am pro life but an abortion is needed in this case, a child can't be put through this
I see that the 11 yo wife isn't very good at doing the laundry, the guys outfit is filthy!
I feel so sorry for these poor women having to lie next to these filthy guys. But, how do they know any differently? They've been told all their young lives that they have to be hitched to these men or lest they become less than worthless.
